The theme for this June week of spiritual empowerment is THE WONDERS OF HIS WORD – DWELLING IN SAFETY.
You and I, the Bible says we are the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. The body of Christ is not the Church building, not the cement structure, not the wooden roof, the body of Christ is you and I; we are the body. Church Gist. Therefore as the body of Christ, we cannot be victims of any evil just like Jesus the head of the Church cannot be attacked.

• From today, we are exempted from all forms of evil.

If the head cannot be attacked, then, the body cannot be attacked because you can’t separate the head from the body. Looking at the Church, the children of Israel in the wilderness, we discover that the reality of the exemption heritage was established all through their journey. Acts 7:38. Church Gist. While the Church in the wilderness was yet in Egypt she was exempted from all the woes in the land. During their exit from Egypt, they were protected from the armies of Egypt. Now we are the New Testament Church of Jesus Christ; therefore, no matter the plague, violence and other tragedies that affect the world, we must be conscious that our exemption right in Christ cannot be tampered with.
We live in a very wicked world where evil is on rampage; armed attacks are becoming daily occurrence. 1 John 5:19. Killing, stealing and destruction are on the rise. John 10:10; Psalm 74:20. The whole world may lie in wickedness but we are of God.

There is a network of the forces of wickedness operating on the Earth. Kidnapping, assassinations, bombings, serial killing, herd killers, and all manner of wickedness, but this day you and I will never be victims of such in the name of Jesus. Church Gist. This is because we are the body of Christ and we are heavenly citizens. Hear this and hear me well: that you belong to the body does not mean that you will not need a working knowledge of God’s kind of protection. 2 Corinthians 10:4. We belong to the camp of the untouchables, unmolestable, eternally protected.

What is divine protection? It is the protection that comes from God. Psalm 89:18. He is far superior to every form of Earthly protection. Church Gist. Banking on divine protection assures you of being protected. Psalm 4:8. Safety is not of any other source except of God. True safety is only in God.

SOME THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT DIVINE PROTECTION:
1) It is our covenant right: once you are born again, you are now in the covenant. God will not allow you to suffer any hurt. Zechariah 2:5; Psalm 23:1-6. When God shepherds you no devil can harm you.
I have a strong covenant with God. I told God in my life I will never see armed robbers and armed robbers must not see me. The covenant is so strong and today, you too will enjoy that grace in Jesus’ name. It’s so powerful that in the year 2000 was the last time I ever travelled by road to Lagos. And we were going to Lagos by road, my wife and I, in a place they call Okada in Edo state, armed robbers were robbing. The luxurious bus just stopped and it was so strange the distance between the vehicle and the robbers was not up to 100 meters. Church Gist. The robbers were standing; you know, for a vehicle to have stopped, the next thing they would have done was to move close to the vehicle because it’s a luxurious bus, there’s no way you can say you want to make u-turn. The robbers did not move from that spot. The light was beaming on them, they did not move. Our own driver now began to go little by little to where he can make u-turn, and other vehicles joined him. And when he turned, I tried to look, God said to me, ‘you told me you will not see robbers and robbers will not see you, sit down. Why do you want to see them? It’s because of you I made them not to move. You’re a covenant …’ You know when you have a covenant be very careful and immediately, I sat down. The robbers did not shift from the point they were standing with their guns as if they were hypnotized and we went past.

• After this day, no robber will see you where you are in the name of Jesus!

Robbers have come to where my wife and I were staying-life story, with arms, sledge hammer, everything instrument to open the door. Only two of us were in the room. They opened the door and did not enter. Church Gist. They opened the door with their master key, left the door open and we were sleeping, did not know, in the morning we came and saw AK 47, hammer, everything left at the door and they went away. We called law enforcement agents to carry them. If it’s now, you know that anointing is in degrees; they will not even smell.
2) It is retained through knowledge: to enjoy divine protection you must have knowledge of God’s Word in that area. Daniel 11:32. When you have knowledge you are untouchable.
3) It is the display of the integrity of God’s name: Isaiah 37:35. God defends and protects for His name’s sake; and that He will do in our lives!
4) It is failure proof: Deuteronomy 31:8. Psalm 121:4. Divine protection is unbeatable. Church Gist. Gadgets may fail, guards and dogs they sleep, but God who is the supreme personality behind divine protection will never fail because He never sleeps nor slumber. 24 hours, He is awake.

• From this day, evil shall be far from every one of us!

HOW TO ENJOY DIVINE PROTECTION
1) Return to the secret place: divine protection is reserved for the saints. Psalm 91:1. The secret place is for you to submit to the lordship of Jesus Christ, that is what we call the secret place of God. New birth is your access to crisis-free zone of life. Church Gist. You cannot enjoy divine protection if you are not born again. To dwell in the secret place simply means to be born again. If you are not born again, when the altar call is made make sure you give your life to Jesus. And in case you are born again, you have small small things around you, give your life to Jesus. You know small small things? Your father gave you one small thing to hold on your waist, rededicate your life. All of you who also have Kayan Mata, give your life to Christ because if you don’t give your life it can also destroy you. They will not tell you the consequences of it. In case you don’t know, go and ask your mother. No woman uses charm to hold a man that lives long; find out! When the woman gets to a particular age, the thing will just vanish and she will die. Look at women who use charm, they don’t live long. They will have cancer or one thing that will kill them. The witch doctors will not tell you. Satan will give you money with time bomb because he does not have anything free. Church Gist. He came to steal so where he stole he has to return them back. It is only whatever the Lord doeth shall be forever; whatever satan does will never be forever, it will be with sorrow. (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
2) Possess a far above mentality: Ephesians 2:6. If you are born again, you are seated in heavenly places. Somebody said where is ‘heavenly places’ when I am on the Earth? Heavenly places is simply accepting the Word of Faith. How do I know? Romans 10:6-8. The day I believe God’s Word I am in heavenly places. It doesn’t mean you will be suspended. Church Gist. Any truth I stand on the integrity of this Word, I am enjoying Heaven on Earth. Did you see blood when you gave your life to Christ? Why did you believe that blood washed away your sins? Faith. So also believe in heavenly places by faith.
What turned me on from being defiled in the dream was this Scripture (Ephesians 2:6). When I was a young man, I will sleep and somebody will take a face and defile me. What you people call ‘mermaid spirit.’ Constantly, I will be getting defiled. When I became born again, no body prayed for me. I just saw Ephesians 1:21. From that day till date, I have never had that problem-two weeks after being born again. Church Gist. I was going to Lagos in a bus and I was reading the book, ‘releasing the supernatural.’ I just saw ‘seated with Christ’ and said ah! If I am far above then satan is not where I am. Where was satan driven from? Revelation 12:8. Where you are (heavenly places), satan can’t come.

In the military, it’s not the rank of the officers that makes them who they are. They know themselves. The general understands his position and has a mentality that I am an officer.
So, when the devil knows that you know that you are seated in heavenly places he will salute you and not attack you. Ephesians 1:20-21. Church Gist. God has spoken and His Word is sure but your mentality determines how far you will enjoy it. The covenant makes you an untouchable person that hell cannot handle but you need to have a positive mentality of far above to maintain the covenant covering over your life.

• From today, with this new mentality no evil shall come near you!
  2 Corinthians 10:4. Luke 16:26.
  3) Serve God continuously: serving God continuously guarantees continuous safety. Matthew 6:33. Daniel 6:16-20. If you want divine protection don’t serve God occasionally but continually.
  4) Give no room to the devourer: God has promised to rebuke the devourer if only you will obey the law of tithing. Listen Christians, most times we keep blaming the devil but if you don’t give him room, he has no power to attack.
  Let me ask you a question. You hear armed robbers are passing on your street, and you say God is with me, open your door and show the armed robber all the things you have while they are passing. What will happen? They will attack you. Is that the armed robbers fault or your fault? Some of you are looking for trouble. Malachi 3:10-12. The devourer is satan. 1 Peter 5:8. When you don’t pay tithe you are opening the door for attack on your life. If you don’t pay tithe it is your business. Church Gist. I am not depending on anybody’s tithe because I don’t earn salary. I stopped earning salary years ago. I pray that today be the last day of mercy. In case you have not been paying your tithe, mercy will prevail over judgement but please be wise and don’t use your hand to cause trouble. From today, pay your tithe. Ignorance in law is not an excuse. Don’t play gimmicks with your tithe.
  5) Have faith in God and His Word: divine protection is available to all but your faith is required to access it. Mark 9:23. If I believe in divine protection it is possible for me to enjoy divine protection. Hebrews 11:6. God’s Word will only become effective when faith is applied. Hebrews 4:2. Church Gist. Faith quenches all the fiery darts of the devil. Ephesians 6:16. Hear me well: faith is not finished until it is spoken. If you have faith you must talk divine protection. Psalm 91:2. You will be speaking the Word of God: I cannot be killed, no devil can touch me. 2 Corinthians 4:13. I want to kill you, say ‘no, you can’t kill me.’ People are dying in town, ‘I cannot die.’ Open your mouth and say it; never keep quiet when evil is spoken. When you speak protection you get protection. Proverbs 18:21; Mark 11:23. Psalm 81:10. Anything you don’t say, God has nothing to confirm. If David never said to Goliath, ‘I will bring your head down,’ he wouldn’t have killed Goliath. Every victory is from the mouth first. Many of us are too civilized. You cannot be a victorious Christian keeping your mouth closed. Don’t you see the way I talk? ‘That man has not been born that will dare me; you dare me you die.’ ‘Dare me, you fail election.’ I didn’t say those people in election are daring me but if you dare me, you fail. Church Gist. Not everybody who failed election dared me oo, there are some people who failed election that love me very well. So I love them too. Somebody can fail today and pass tomorrow. True? Abraham Lincoln failed and failed, nobody should give up. Don’t ever laugh at somebody who failed.
  6) Be spiritually sensitive: many of us we do everything but we miss it here. Always spend time in the Word and in prayer; ist sharpens your spiritual antenna. Romans 8:14. As a child of God, don’t be as the horse or as the mule. Once you have a check in your spirit, don’t move. Church Gist. You want to move and on the inside, you don’t have peace, don’t move. It’s an indication that there is danger. I have bought ticket and I turned back from Airport. Isaiah 30:21. You must take necessary safety precautions. You must be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  Life story of a young man that was assassinated: he was trying to go to a place they call Bonny (in Rivers state). As he was going out, the door hooked his trouser and tore his trouser. He came back, wore another one. He got to the park to enter boat, he forgot his bunch of keys. Church Gist. Will God come down? He came back again to carry the key. It was on the high sea they assassinated him. Which means God did everything to show him sign. I’ve entered a new car, complete new car, and it didn’t start and they said it’s battery. I said hold on, start the next one. They started the next one and it didn’t answer, I said, hold on, don’t move. And I was to go for very important meeting. I went inside and prayed in the Spirit, He said, hold on, leave after 2 hours. I didn’t tell anybody going with me, I said park the cars, keep them. I delayed the journey. So after 2 hours, I said let’s go. That means there must be something He is preventing me from. But some will say, start that one. That does not mean God is weak, he said take my son to Egypt, Pharaoh is after his life. If you are going to travel and everything is showing you sign, stop!
  They told me the story of a husband and wife that they went to burial and did not come back. Everything was showing that they must not go for that burial, on their way, they had accident and didn’t survive. Church Gist. Please when you see unease on the inside, pause and pray. If the unease refuses to go, sit down. There’s no believer that gets to danger where God will not show you sign. Most of us are not sensitive, in the morning you won’t pray and yet you are a Christian.
