NOTHING DEFINES A BELIEVER’S FUTURE LIKE HIS OBEDIENCE TO GOD.
CHRISTIANITY IS AN ADVENTURE IN FUTILITY WITHOUT OBEDIENCE. IT IS OUR OBEDIENCE THAT GIVES VALUE TO OUR FAITH.
OUR OBEDIENCE IS ABSOLUTELY TO OUR BENEFIT.

Heavenly Father, thank you tonight for another opportunity in your presence. Lord let none of us return empty. Let it be a day to be much remembered. Let something precious drop for each one of us today. Give us an encounter with your word today in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
UNVEILING THE POWER OF OBEDIENCE. We have quite a journey on this since the month began and we are concluding today. What we hear does not change us but what we do with what we hear. James 1:22. How much we know has no reflection but how much we engage with what much we know does. Luke 6:46. Without doing the things He says, it doesn’t add anything to us. Christianity is an adventure in futility without obedience. It is our obedience that gives value to our faith. James 2:18. Abraham was a symbol of an unreserved servant of God, whatever God tells him to do is done. Not “I go Sir”, it is done. Before God finished saying it, Abraham had done it. James 2:26. Church Gist. No dead seed has a future. Faith without proven obedience is dead. Obedience will turn a nobody into a business emperor as in the case of Abraham. Get thee out of thy country and he departed. There was not much to carry, if at all. By Chapter 14, he had already become an emperor with an army of 318 people. In those days what was the population of the world? Simple obedience.
God is therefore saying, see what obedience has brought about in the life of Abraham. If you desire a turnaround after the order of Abraham? Then do the works of obedience that Abraham did. John 8:39. It is in doing the work of Abraham that we access the blessings of Abraham. Isaiah 51:1-3. It is saying that Abraham’s life before he embarked on the adventure of obedience was likened to a wilderness and a desert and see how I turned his life around through the mystery of obedience. Unreserved obedience, delightsome obedience, cheerful obedience, faith-filled obedience. God’s blessings usually trail man’s obedience. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. The answer to the master key is man’s obedience. Church Gist. All these blessings become available, deliverable and accessible. Deuteronomy 28:1-4. All these blessings. As long as a believer continues to walk in obedience to every commandment of God, God’s blessings will continue to follow him or her. He never lies. When a believer stops following God’s instructions, God’s blessings will also stop following him. No believer will ever need to beg for blessings as long as his or her obedience remains delightsome and unreserved. Say it Lord I am ready.
Please note, instead of praying for blessings let’s keep praying for grace for sustainable obedience. Just check the things you know and find out how many of those things you are engaging with and then you can tell why you are where you are. This God is no respecter of persons. We should rather begin to pray for the enduement of the spirit of obedience than crying for blessings. Ezekiel 36:27. The spirit of obedience. Luke 11:13. So you can ask the Lord to endue you afresh with the spirit of obedience. Proverbs 9:12. Nothing defines a believer’s future like his obedience to God. God will never back out of His word. Jesus himself said the scriptures cannot be broken. So 100 days of prayer and fasting won’t make a difference. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Church Gist. 1 Samuel 15:22. Obedience is better than 100 days of prayer and fasting. You can pray and fast, serving yourself all the way. “oh Lord give me land” “oh Lord give me a house” “oh Lord give me a car” that is not serving, that is chasing the shadows. That won’t bring out the best in those who are serving God. It won’t. One of our pastors said his experience in the last three months was more than his experience in the last eight years. When he laid down his pastoral title and began to respond to the commandment of scripture. No apostle or prophet under any level of anointing can make the covenant of scriptures of no effect. The scriptures cannot be broken by what so ever. Even God Himself is bound by His words. 2 Timothy 2:13.
We saw a number of people in the scriptures that obeyed their ways and went beyond the skies. First Abraham, Jesus said in His parable, that He saw Abraham on a throne and Lazarus at his footstool. Genesis 14:19. The blessing is “Abraham, possessor of heaven and earth”. He obeyed his way beyond the skies. Then Enoch walked with God until God took him. Can two walk together unless they agree? He was an ardent follower of God and God took him that he should not see death. Church Gist. He obeyed his way beyond the skies. We have Elijah, he could not be silenced. Too jealous for God to pretend to align with the devil. You saw the first spacecraft carry Elijah to heaven. There is no height that obedience cannot scale on earth. Christ Jesus scaled the utmost height through his unreserved full obedience and absolute obedience. Philippians 2:8-11. Obedience unto death gave him his place in the utmost height of Heaven.
- May we all receive the grace of obedience after the order of Christ today.
The same way those forces of brain cancer planted by diabolical forces came out of that lady after that communion. Today, every seed of disobedience that makes everyone pull shoulders against the truth shall be rooted out of every life.
Our obedience is absolutely to our benefit. We are not the first beneficiary, we are not the principal beneficiary, we are the sole beneficiary of our obedience. You obey the gospel today, you make heaven and people make it one by one. Church Gist. God doesn’t need to make heaven, that is where he lives. Your obedience and my obedience is absolutely to our benefit. If we know that then it will not be somebody’s blame. The truth is open.
Obedience of faith is the master key to provoking the wonders in the word of God. You obey, God is committed to confirming it and His confirmation is in signs and wonders. It is not what you can imagine. Obedience is the master key to provoking the manifestation of the wonders in the word of God. John 14:21.
Let’s look at these three miracle lines, very simple.
At that marriage in Cana of Galilee, Jesus simply said fill the water points with water. Now you lack wine, shame is stepping in. They simply obeyed, there was no prayer. Obedience turned the water into wine. Jesus never prayed on the water. Church Gist. The people fetching the water didn’t know what to do with the water, they were just following instructions. Simple obedience brought about the signs and wonders in their life.
- May each one receive fresh grace today to walk in obedience.
Whenever we do what the word says believing, we have committed God’s integrity to confirm it in our lives. Isaiah 53:1, Matthew 9:27-29.
Please note the following before we round up. The Bible is the creator’s manual for profitable living on the earth. You don’t follow the dictates of the manual, you can’t get the best out of any equipment. Church Gist. You follow the dictates of the manual to make the most of every equipment you may have acquired. In these high tech days, everything comes with valid instructions – you want the best out of this equipment, this is what to do.
Joshua 1:8. Obedience makes the way for people. You make your way prosperous and then you have good success. Hebrews 4:2. There are people in this place today that seem not to have an identity but following what God says to do will turn you into a surprise to yourself. It is one thing for people to be surprised by you and for you to be surprised at yourself positively. Church Gist. Somebody who was hanging around from house to house suddenly has his own apartment in a very serene estate. Maybe others in that same situation have committed suicide but obedience kept him alive through those ordeals and he is on top. Settled all his bills and began to live a life of dignity.
- Many are arriving there.
God doesn’t only answer prayers, He responds to our acts of obedience the same way. He says it, you do it. He responds to it. The same way He responds to your prayers He also responds to your obedience. There are many things you never prayed about that suddenly came through because you walk in obedience to God’s word. I knew I would not need to beg for anything till I die when I encountered Matthew 6:33. I have been to mountains, and valleys seeking the face of God but never once on anything material, it was settled by my covenant with God based on Matthew 6:33 and He hasn’t failed once in 46 years. Church Gist. He hasn’t failed once. I have never begged once, borrowed once, or stolen once. You better wake up. It is one thing to find the truth and another thing to engage with it. You may find it and not engage with it. Engaging with it is what makes a difference any day, any time.
You need to see where we were when God showed me about corporate tithing including for churches. I heard it for the first time in my life, I never read it in a book in my life. The same way I open the heavens over individuals through tithing I also open the heavens over institutions and companies, businesses including churches. Church Gist. We are under that outpouring, we have been there since. It is just multiplying and galloping. We won’t stop doing it, He won’t stop confirming His word. Every truth you despise is another loss registered. Any truth on any subject.
Obedience brought the massive wall of Jericho down. I don’t know what barrier is standing in your way, just do what God says it will and must come down. A woman, one of our daughters here, was in an uncompleted building with her two children out of school and she came back from Europe. They were praying kingdom advancement prayer without going to school. Church Gist. She woke up to 2020 with #100. How would they eat that day? But like a dream of the night. The same year, a few months later, heaven opened. Many people here are going to experience a supernatural open heaven just simply walking in obedience to the commandment of the hour.
When we walk in obedience, impossible doors open to us on their own accord. Tell them to go forward and they went forward, to go and drown? No. If God says to go forward, He knows what to do with the sea. Psalm 114:3. That is the power of obedience.
How will this be? Forget it. Don’t ask God that. He has the answer to every question. 2 Kings 7:1-2. God is not man, He is not in your class. Can I tell you this? There is no barrier that followed you here today that you will still see in 5 weeks time. Church Gist. They will disappear like a dream of the night as you take up this cloak of obedience upon your life.
As we close, the obedience that works must be practical. Practical obedience not assumed obedience. Not theoretical obedience, not tongue-filled obedience. Matthew 21:28-31. Tongue-filled obedience! 1 John 3:18. Let us obey in truth and with our actions.
- The obedience that works must be cheerful. Deuteronomy 28:47-48. This is one of the curses listed in scripture. Serving God is not enough, you have obeyed Him by serving Him. You must serve with joyfulness and gladness of heart. 2 Chronicles 25:1-2. If I don’t do it, human beings will say I am not zealous, I don’t have passion for God so I am seeking you first, come and watch me. His heart is not there. Isaiah 29:13. Please let there be joy or get out of serving God. Don’t create tension everywhere.
We have the example of Paul the Apostle, an avowed obedient servant of God, ever excited, ever on top. Romans 8:35-37. Philippians 2:17-18. Like 10:21.
- No one’s labour here shall be in vain. Your labour shall not be in vain.
- Your blessings will not be converted to curses.
Don’t destroy your harvest. Joel 1:12. Keep rejoicing and watch how God will keep decorating your life.
Hebrews 4:16.
Have you seen the need for the grace of unreserved obedience? It is absolutely for your benefit and my benefit. Ask God for fresh enduement with the spirit of obedience and the fear of the Lord.
Our first Come and See flier came out the last week of March 1984 and we are still out. Obedience has no lifespan. You stop obeying, it stops working. To that glory of God, our own team saw 732 people that have never been to this Church arrive here last Sunday. Obedience is not a short term thing. 1984 to 2022, how many years is that? And we are still doing it. We are going to have another one next week. That whole mammoth press does not do anything commercial, they just do this, Bibles and books. There is no book money in what we do here. As they sell, we reproduce. Not one dime has crossed the way to my pocket. Church Gist. Obedience is sweet, you can’t tell what is in it until you obey. It may be costly but the end result is priceless. All over the world, you find these fliers all over in their respective locations – online, on ground. You go to Malaysia you find it, you go to America you find it. We are not marketing fakes, we are marketing the truth. When Jesus opens no man can shut.
- He will open new doors for you. New doors of favour. New doors of peace. New doors of joy. New doors of family harmony. New doors of health and vitality. New doors of marital breakthroughs.
Go out bearing His reproach. Everyone they have insulted here has changed level. So give them reasons to insult you. It is an opportunity for your level to change. Let them mock you so God can make you. You don’t become a champion from the corner of your room. Go to the ring. If you hear the insults that some of us received. Blessed be God, they were very sweet insults. See the outcome. See how many people have turned into celebrities because of insults from agents of the devil. God is a covenant-keeping God. Church Gist. As you step out bearing His reproach, He will roll away your reproach. Then the people that are mocking will just be envious. God will silence them forever. So go ahead and market Jesus. In your street, take over the place, in your office take over the place. As you are in the filling station filling gas, take over the place. Ask the filling station man, do you go to church? Do you know Jesus? No. You lead them to Christ. Those are some of the stupid things that some of us did that provoked God to start decorating us. He will decorate you much more.
