Shall we lift our hands to Heaven. Magnify the King of all Kings this hour, glorify His name forever, give Him praise and Glory. Church Gist. Exalt Him because He lives forever, no one is like Him. Blessed be His name forever in Jesus most wonderful name.
- In this service, God will give you a word that will change your story.
If you’re expecting a specific word to bring a change in your life, I want you to say ‘Lord, send me a Word that will bring about a change in my life.’
Today is the last day in the month of June. Whatever God has as a blessing for the month of June, the best shall be delivered to you today. Church Gist. It says ‘better is the end of a matter than the beginning thereof.’
- May the best for the month of June which brought about the good news to Mary, the best be given to you today.
- The month will not end until your own good news is delivered.
This month is the month of ‘THE WONDERS OF HIS WORD’ and today we will be looking at ‘THE CREATIVE POWER OF THE WORD.’
Hear this and hear me well: In 1998 at the cost of $3.6 billion the longest bridge called the Pearl Bridge was built in Japan Island, the main Island of Honshu with the Island of Shikoku. Church Gist. Now, at the length of 6,470 feet, it is more than 2,300 feet longer than the Golden gate bridge in San Francisco. Church Gist. They were trying to connect the 2 cities and that bridge was built to connect them.
But hear this and hear me well, the tongue in your mouth has the greatest power to connect the longest distance.
The Panama Canal before it was completed in 1914, if you’re sailing from New York to San Francisco, it meant a journey of 13,000 miles. Church Gist. But when the canal was built, it connected the world of the Atlantic with the Pacific in a short distance. Look at the distance; they connected it. But the mouth, the tongue, the words you speak have power to bring the fastest connection. Church Gist. So, words are connectors.
Words have the capacity to build bridges, build walls and they have the capacity to also close doors. Church Gist. Words connect us to God. Just like bridges connect people and islands, it is the words that you and I speak that will connect us to our God or put us away from God.
- You will not be put away in the name of Jesus
In Genesis 1, God used words as a vehicle to create things from the spiritual realm to manifest in the physical realm. Church Gist. In Genesis 1, God’s word said, ‘And God said.’ If you read verse 1 to 3, God said, and verse 4, God saw the light. If you read verse 6-14, God said and in verse 31, God saw. May you see whatever you say from today.
When God wanted something material created, all He did was He spoke. Everything you are seeing in the material world, God spoke them into existence with words. And He said, ‘Let us make man in our own image.’ Church Gist. Now, the image is not just the visible because God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and if God is a Spirit which means the words you speak, they are not just ordinary words. They carry power, they carry life.
God is a Spirit and God spoke, (Genesis 1:26) so if you do things like God you get results like God. In Ephesians 5:1 (AMPC). Now, all that God did was let there be light and there was light. So if I want to get result like God, all I need to do is to say, ‘let there be peace,’ and it will come to pass. Is that clear? Church Gist. So because God is a Spirit and you are a Spirit with a soul and a body. So if I want to get result like God, all I need to do is to imitate Him like God. I also have to declare like God, so it is what I declare that I will see. So if you have not seen anything in your life, you have not created it with your words.
If you want to see anything, then, you must say it. Church Gist. What you have not seen is something you have not said. In Hebrews 11:3, why did the Bible use “worlds” why didn’t the Bible say “world”?
In the supernatural we have different worlds. We have the world of prosperity, world of success, world of peace, world of protection, so it is with the word of faith you speak from your mouth that creates those worlds. Church Gist. Are you getting what I’m saying now?
So if I want to prosper, I have to start saying it after I have done my part of covenant. If I want to see protection, I have to say it. Anything you don’t say, you can never see. Church Gist. Until God said it, He did not see it. So, our words create our worlds. Words have creative force that brings into existence that which have never existed before. Words are powerful.
Hear this and hear me well: in the Kingdom of God, you don’t say what you like; you say what it is written. Let me say this to you: in case you don’t know, free speech is not in the Kingdom. Church Gist. You know in the world they say, ‘I have liberty of free speech.’ True? Even the free speech is not free. Can you go now and talk anything against the President of America and they just leave you? It’s not free speech. Call his name and say he is a thief if they don’t sue you. You will prove it by law where you saw him stealing. So there’s no free speech. Even in the natural free speech has boundaries. Church Gist. You can’t just get up now and say the President of this nation is a thief. They will ask you to come and prove it in the law court for defamation of character. In the kingdom, there’s no free speech; you must control what you say.
In Psalm 141:3, I’m sure every morning when you wake up, you will be praying that, ‘O God, teach me what to say.’ Words work wonders in our lives. Church Gist. Your confession is what precedes your possession. There’s nothing like possession before confession, it is confession before possession.
Now, many don’t know what confession means. Confession means to say the same thing. So, dare to say exactly what God’s Word says. If you say I’m confessing God’s word, you’re saying exactly what God says. Confession is not saying anything you like; confession is saying exactly what God says. Church Gist. And what God says is the word. If I say I’m confessing, I’m saying exactly the Word of God. So, say exactly what God’s Word says in all situations and circumstances because words control the events of your life.
It says, ‘life and death are in the power of the tongue.’ If you can control your mouth, you can protect your life. Church Gist. In Proverbs 13:3, Romans 10:10, we only know this Scripture in the area of altar call. Now, salvation means “Soteria.” So with the mouth, I am saying exactly what God says, then, anything that God has provided in redemption I will have it. When you read the Bible don’t just read only one content. Church Gist. You know this Scripture only for altar call but it is beyond that. Right words will produce right things and wrong words will produce wrong things.
In Proverbs 21:23, every problem any man has came from his mouth. Proverbs 6:2. Refuse to say wrong things. For instance, speak success and not failure. Speak righteousness in Christ not unworthiness. Church Gist. In my studies I noticed that God’s word does not give room for unworthiness. That was why when the prodigal son said I’m not worthy, he said shut up; don’t say like that. You can confess sin if you commit sin but you are not unworthy. I’ll show you from the Bible. Those are religious statements. ‘Unworthy sinners like us’ you have already put yourself in a wrong position. God said if you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you; He didn’t say if you confess unworthily. Church Gist. I know you read Scriptures but when you read, always ask the Holy Ghost to open your eyes. 2 Corinthians 5:21. He took that place and made us righteous so you cannot come before Him who has made you righteous and say you are unworthy. You will remain unworthy that way. It’s not a right way to pray; is that clear Sir?
Speak that you have the life of God in your mortal body and not the old spirit of inferiority, failure, and frustration. Acts 17:28. Speak as an heir of God, as a joint heir with Christ. Colossians 1:12-14. Church Gist. Always speak healing and health not how sick and diseased you are. Stop saying I’m sick; you will never get healed. You say, ‘what will I say?’ Isaiah 33:24. ‘I know I will get healed.’ ‘I know I will get better; this malaria will leave my body.’ You are not denying it but you don’t say it. Listen, don’t mistake the two. Don’t say I’m healed when you are not healed. Church Gist. Don’t say ‘I have malaria. It’s like this malaria wants to kill me.’ Isaiah 53:5. Speak God’s word that heals. Stop speaking your problems. Joshua 1:8.
Speak financial success not poverty. Church Gist. Stop saying I’m poor, say I’m rich. Are you not paying tithe? Are you not giving offering? Then, why are you talking poverty?
Speak success in marriage and not marriage failure. “This marriage I know it will not work.” You have already collapsed the marriage. Church Gist. It’s your mouth that crashed it. “I don’t see anything good in this man; yeye man.” Before two of you even meet, you have packed already, you have already closed the marriage from there.
‘No matter what this man does, he will come back home. He’s my husband. He wedded me so he cannot leave me alone.’ Even when things are going contrary, use your mouth to turn it to the way you want. Church Gist. You can turn any circumstance that is going contrary to the way you want with the words of your mouth in line with the Word of God.
Confession is simply to affirm what God has said in His Word. It is giving voice to the Word. Hebrews 4:14; Hebrews 10:23. Keep saying it, don’t shake. Church Gist. Stand on the integrity of the Word of God. Titus 3:8. Keep saying it until what God says manifests. Philippians 1:6. Say with me, ‘I refuse to shake on the inside.’ James 1:6-7. So when I say anything I stand because God’s word carries life. Church Gist. When you speak God’s word you are speaking life. John 6:63. God’s word carries life and it is that life that goes to a create the things you want.
This is how God’s word creates: who are you? Are you a spirit? John 3:6. You are a spirit primarily. Now God is a Spirit. Listen carefully: if I say “be blessed,” without understanding it will produce nothing. Church Gist. But every word that comes from a child of God is anointing because the Spirit of God is in you so when you speak a word, the Spirit of God from your mouth, because this is where God created. The word He spoke was encapsulated with the Holy Spirit so it began to produce. Church Gist. Genesis 1:1-3. When God spoke, the Holy Spirit was involved in creation.
Now, when you speak because you are a spirit and the words that come out of your mouth are also spirit which is the Holy Ghost, so when you speak, the Holy Spirit encapsulates your word and so the word goes to that thing you are speaking to produce even if the thing is contrary. Is that clear Sir?
‘I know I will prosper.’ You have gone to the supernatural to create it in the realm; it will manifest in the physical. ‘I know I will pass this exam.’ Church Gist. You have spoken it into the supernatural so the veins of the natural begin to work for you to pass the exams. ‘But this exam, it’s like I will fail.” You have also spoken in the supernatural to cause the veins to bring failure. Words are enspirited.
HOW TO MAKE THE CREATIVE POWER OF THE WORD WORK
- Constantly feed on the Word of God: In John 15:7, John 6:68. Stay with the Word of God. Joshua 1:8. It is what you read that will affect what you believe. Church Gist. Feed the Scriptures into your spirit man so that when you are speaking, when you are saying something, it’s coming out of what is loaded on the inside. Church Gist. Your faith will come alive and become a living force when you feed on the Word of God.
Read books that build your faith in God. Church Gist. Romans 10:17. The reason many of you can’t speak is you don’t even know the Word of God so even when you are saying the wrong thing you don’t even know.
For instance, there is a common thing that believers, even senior believers say; “I have a burden to pray for you.” “There’s this strong burden in me to go for evangelism.” It’s wrong; God does not give burden. Isaiah 10:27. Church Gist. You can’t have burden, burden is a yoke. ‘I have the leading to pray for you.’ If it is burden it is not from God. ‘You have the leading of the Holy Spirit.’ You know if you meet religious people it will look as if you are not born again. They will make you look as if you, your salvation is not real.
You don’t pray to mountain you talk to mountain. You don’t speak your negative experiences, you speak your expectations. Church Gist. There was darkness, God did not talk about darkness, He said let there be light.
- If you want to create, speak boldly: Acts 14:3. I’ll give a typical example that words have power. How many of you know the story of Goliath and David? Church Gist. 90% of people know the story that he used sling to bring down Goliath. No, it was not the sling that was the real thing. It was words that brought down Goliath. 1 Samuel 17:43-51. It was a spiritual battle, it was not just physical. Church Gist. David spoke the creative word which has the power to overcome evil.
