WHATEVER YOU GET OR YOU DON’T GET IS NOT THE FAULT OF GOD OR THE devil; WHATEVER YOU GET OR YOU DON’T GET IS SQUALLY ON YOUR SHOULDER.
EXPECTATION DETERMINES MANIFESTATION AND YOUR EXPECTATION DETERMINES YOUR EXPERIENCE.
WHEN YOUR DESIRE IS STRONG ENOUGH, THE MANTLE CARRIER HAS NO OPTION; YOU RECEIVE IT EFFORTLESSLY AND NEATLY BY IMPARTATION.

Father, we give You the praise, we give You the honour, we give You the adoration. Be glorified Lord, in Jesus precious name.
“PREPARATION FOR A DIVINE ENCOUNTER.”
What to do in order to be a beneficiary of a divine encounter:
1). Maintain the right company.
2). Maintain spiritual discipline.
3). Maintain balance for His Presence.
4). Maintain desperate expectation: very desperate, undistracted expectation. I mentioned some of the things we are to expect yesterday: that expectation determines manifestation and your expectation determines your experience.
I will like us to know that expectation carries magnetic power. Most pastors and preachers know that, we are naturally pulled in the direction of the expectant. There are times when in a service in a church setting, you are just drawn in the direction of expectation. When Elijah was going to Heaven and he asked Elisha, what do you want me to do for you? Church Gist. Elisha said, I need a double portion of the mantle that you carry” (2 Kings 2:10-13) and he saw him no more; by his expectation, he saw Elijah no more. Elijah had gone with the mantle, so he thought. He took hold of his own clothes and rent them in two pieces and then, he took up also the mantle of Elijah that Elijah dropped. Which means, he would have gone with the mantle neat, until it fell. What fell it?
The pull of expectation, magnetic desire and expectation.
When your desire is strong enough, the mantle carrier has no option; when your expectation is strong enough, when your desire is strong enough, when your desperation is strong enough, even the carrier of the mantle you desire has no choice in the matter. Whether he likes your face or not, whether he wants to drop it for you or not; once you are qualified by desperation, you receive it by impartation. Church Gist. You receive it effortlessly and neatly by impartation. I am not saying you should disrespect the carrier of the mantle, because that is part of the requirements; you value the carrier, you respect the carrier, you listen to them as they went on and talked, you observe them, you look at them. But it comes to the point where himself has no option; he carried the mantle of Elijah that fell. What fell it?
Magnetic desire, desperation, desire on fire; “no, I can’t leave you the same way you have met me. I must give the account of our association to my generation. Nobody can see me and feel that I wasted my time following you.”
Some years back I made up my mind, “I cannot go to Canaanland and hang around Papa Oyedepo and not produce results that look like it. If I won’t produce it, I won’t go there.” Otherwise, people will think you are a liar. How can you say somebody is your father and you don’t look like him? Church Gist. Either it is concluded you are a liar or it is concluded you a hypocrite or it is concluded that you are fake. I told me myself, “I am here for this Shiloh now, between now and this time next year, if I don’t see so and so, I will not return back here.” It was answered and over answered because I and the children that the Lord has given unto me, we are for signs and wonders.
Children, I congratulate you and I envy you because I wish that I was at your age, I was located in a mountain of diverse mantles. You are in a mountain of diverse mantles; evangelistic, apostolic, prophetic, teaching, pastoral, worship, singing, instrumentation, song writing, song receiving, academic excellence; anything is literally like whatever you are looking for by His mercies. Church Gist. Marital dignity, whatever, by His mercies; financial abundance – mountain of diverse mantles. Whatever you get or you don’t get is not the fault of the devil; whatever you get or you don’t get is not even the duty of God, it is squally on your shoulder.
My wife told me many years ago, she said, I don’t know what you looked for you didn’t get. I don’t know the grace you pursued you never got. I didn’t know any, not one.
- Something is dropping for somebody here tonight!
When I was your age, if you ever attended any miracle crusade and you saw one blind eye see, that is the crusade over succeeded; you saw one deaf ear heard; it was too much success. You saw one person lifted his crutches to walk and he is walking like that, miracle has over happened – one. Even Holy Ghost baptism is like ten per cent of the people. Today, everything is excess without stress.
- Get ready, something will happen to you!
- No child, no young man, no young woman connected to this mantle and grace directly or indirectly; wherever you are now, watching via the satellite or the internet, not one of you will live an ordinary life in your generation!
Let me give you certain things to anchor your expectation on
Exodus 3:1-4.
Because of time, I will just let you know that forty years before this time Moses already knew the call of God, he already attempted to carry out the call when He went to visit his brethren and he saw an Egyptian smiting his brethren, he killed the Egyptian and buried him. The next day he came back and saw two of the Hebrew brethren striving with each other. Church Gist. He said why are you fighting, do you not know that you are brothers? The other one said do you want to kill me like you killed the Egyptian? And he knew that the thing was known and he ran. When Stephen was giving an account of it in the Acts of the Apostles. He said he assumed that his brethren would understand (Acts 7:24-25). He understood, he had communicated with God. His challenge was threefold:
1). Inadequate preparation.
2). The wrong timing.
3). The wrong approach.
He came out like that inadequately prepared. The timing was wrong, even though God said I want to use you there is a timing for it. He rushed out ahead of time. There is also an approach for it. So when Moses saw that he jammed rock, he ran and left the assignment for 40 solid years. But when he went to the fire that burnt, He was restored back to track. Church Gist. That burning bush was a restorative fire. Return back to your call, return back to your purpose.
- I am here to announce to anyone that missed road, missed direction, veered into something else and the devil told you, you have failed, that you will not succeed again.
- I am anointed to announce to you that this fire burning in this season will return you back to your call.
Your expectation is focused on five of the following
1). The restoration of passion.
If you had passion before and your passion for God has disappeared. We are here to catch a fire that will make the passion to return and if you had no passion before, we are here to catch fire. Church Gist. We are talking about spiritual intensity, I will talk about that tomorrow or next.
2). The restoration of vision.
The restoration of what God wants me to do with my life. What God wants me to do with my destiny. If you didn’t know before, then you can know for the first time by the burning fire.
3). The restoration of direction.
Even if I am not a prophet, let me at least hear God. Let me know how God talks to me, is it through dreams? Or from the inward witness or from the Word of God. Church Gist. Moses had lost the voice of God for forty years and he came to the fire and the fire returned the voice. I don’t know what has been lost all these years but there shall be a restoration.
4). The realization of potential
Moses realized his potential but he never knew what the rod carries. It is one thing to carry the rod, it is another thing to know what the rod carries. It is one thing to carry the Bible, it is another thing to know what the Bible carries. It is one thing to possess a gift, it is another thing to know what the gift possesses. Church Gist. There is not one person seated here today that is empty. There is not one person seated today that is bankrupt, the problem is you don’t know what is in your house. Our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost so it is a house.
2 Kings 4:1-7.
There is a point of oil in the house and you are saying you have nothing. There are people seated here God is about to reveal the oil in your house. Church Gist. There is something in your house and the assignment of the fire. There is something in your house and the assignment of the fire is to reveal to you what is in your house.
God asked him what is that in your hand? He said it is an ordinary stick that I use to control my sheep. Ordinary stick? Okay, drop it on the group let’s see whether it will still remain a stick. He dropped it and the stick has life. What he thought was a dead stick became a living thing and that living thing carried the destiny of a nation. There are people here hearing my voice that will determine the destiny of this nation at one time or the other. People are hearing online that will determine the destiny of your nation, your community, your family by what God will reveal to you. Church Gist. A portion of our expectations. Lord, I can’t leave here until you show me what is in my hand. I have moved about like an empty vessel all this while but I know I carry something. I know I carry a potential, I know I am a voice to my generation. I know I have something to offer my generation. Father show me what is in my house.
So what am I expecting?
“I am expecting my passion to come alive, I am expecting my vision to come alive more than before, I am expecting the release of gifts, graces, potentials, mantles in my life. I am expecting raw power; I am tired of fainting before the devil, I need power.”
