The theme is LIVING IN THE SUPERNATURAL and today is the day two of this Week of Spiritual Empowerment. Today we will be looking at, COMMANDING SUPERNATURAL EXPLOITS. Daniel 11:32.
We are all destined for supernatural exploits. We are redeemed to reign and not to roam and be ruined. Everyone that is redeemed is redeemed to reign. Revelation 5:9-10. Church Gist. It says no matter your tribe, whether you are from Hausa, Yoruba, German, French, Nigeria, you have been redeemed to reign on the Earth. No disadvantaged tribe and no disadvantaged nation. Stop saying, “life is like this because of where I come from.” It’s a lie, it’s not scriptural. Acts 10:34; Romans 10:12. There is no difference between the Nigerian and American if you are born again. Church Gist. The same blood purchased all of us. Say I hear! It is your mentality that will define your dignity. There’s no difference between the Ogoni man and the Okrika man, the Hausa man and Yoruba man, if you are born again – we are all the same.
Unknowingly for women, you hear them say, “well, if I was a man.” You are already giving yourself out for failure. Church Gist. You are not disadvantaged for God who made you a woman, He knows better. You are not wiser than God who made you a woman. So if you change yourself to be like a man, it is an abuse. Or for a man to now change himself to a woman, he is already condemned because you can’t be wiser than the holiest God who knew why He made you a woman. If you wanted to be a man He would have known. And anyhow you do, man is man, and woman is woman. Church Gist. There is no day they can take a man’s own to put in your body – no way.
Science has never been able to do that. Breast can come out but you know the other part can’t come out. True? Have you seen any woman who says I am a man now? Even the ones who says they are gays and lesbians who are men, they still have their breast. Church Gist. Even if they wear men cloth, the man part is not complete. So it is a spiritual madness and some satanic oppression. Even the ones who say they are the men who marry their fellow women, do they look like us? No way!
God knows better. Galatians 3:28. You are not disadvantaged because you are a woman. Please change your perspective.
Hear what God says, Matthew 5:13-16. Salt is an entity of eternal relevance. So we are to command results in a strange order. We are programmed to be Pacesetters. 1 Peter 2:9. Church Gist. Hear me and hear me well: the most important adventure after salvation is to discover purpose. Many are created to be stars but they are struggling in life. Purpose is God’s plan concerning you. Purpose means will of God; counsel of God.
Let me say this to you: God did not begin us when we began. God finished with us before He began. Isaiah 46:10. Church Gist. The architect does not finish the house when he started; he has finished the house in his brain before the foundation was laid. God finished with you before your mother gave birth to you.
Let me say this to you: life without a purpose is an experiment. Many are struggling through life not because God’s plan for them is to struggle but because they have not found what it takes to live a struggle free life. Church Gist. If you’re living your life without purpose, you are on a journey with no destination. Imagine you get into a transport and they say, “where are you going to?” You say, anywhere you like drop me. Church Gist. Won’t you look at the man and say, “are you okay?” Many are experimenting with life.
- You won’t experiment!
Proverbs 19:21. There are many things in your heart but all of them won’t work except it is in God’s will. Preparing for this message was so funny. I woke up and read everything readable. I went to, “you are gods,” I didn’t flow. Church Gist. Normally that’s the kind of message I should preach. I went everywhere and went to lay down. I got up again, books were all on my table. I read again, I was not flowing. He said what they need now is not this one; this is what they need.
Many don’t have purpose for living, so no exploits. The moment he gave me, I began to flow. Church Gist. You can have all the books, if the Holy Ghost does not help you, you will be debooked.
Prophecy is the Holy Spirit giving what He has finished in the meeting of the council of God. Your future is God’s past. What you are praying for tomorrow, God has settled it in the past. If somebody is watching England versus Germany for the first time, you may not know when you will do like this (demonstrates kicking a football). Church Gist. You know the female Union of European Football Associations Nations Cup where England won by 2-1? If you are watching for the first time, and they want to score, you will shout. But if you have watched the game before you will be laughing because you already know the score. Church Gist. What you are shouting about, God is just watching you. He says, this is my past; you are only doing the replay. But to you it new, to Him it is past.
Jesus speaking made a statement; he said he was slain before the foundation of the Earth. Revelation 13:8. So He died before He was born. Church Gist. Jesus did not die when He died, He died before He was born. He was slain before Mary gave birth to Him. 1 John 3:8; John 18:37.
Hear me people of God: the business you are dreaming about is already finished. Jesus knew the end before He began. Purpose is the original intent for creation. Once you discover purpose, all things work in your favour. Church Gist. You become supernaturally loaded for exploits. Every provision you are looking for in life is in God’s vision given to you.
For instance, a microphone might be more expensive than a pressing iron but it will never do the work of an iron. Each one has a place in destiny. Church Gist. Everything created by God was created for a purpose. Listen, when God wanted to create the fishes, He created them for a purpose – to swim. It will be an anathema if you see fish flying. God looked at the fish and He created water and from water, He brought the fish. If you want to see the purpose of a fish, throw it inside water. Bring fish on the ground, you will hate fish; because purpose has been defeated. When he wanted to create the animals, he spoke to the bush. Church Gist. When He wanted to create you, He spoke to Himself. Genesis 1:27. So, your purpose is when you connect to God and your beauty emerges. Once you are disconnected from God, your beauty dies.
The devil’s main desire is to make sure you don’t discover purpose. Hosea 4:6. No devil can stop a man and a woman of purpose.
- From this day you shall be unstoppable in the name of Jesus
Nobody knows a product like the manufacturer. A discovery of your mission will bring an end to frustration; the beginning of profiting.
If you look at every product, there is a manual. They say, read this manual before you operate this product. And the manual is a product written by the manufacturer. No retailer, distributor, customer can write the manual. Church Gist. So nobody can know you except God; not even your parents. And His manual is this book (the Bible). Only producers know their product and the only person, who produced you, permit me, is God. He is the only one who knows you.
- Say with me, “I am God’s original product. God will make sure I succeed because His name is on me.”
You know every product, they put their name on it – the product of apple; true? God’s name is on you. That is why everything about you is so special to God that even angels look at you and say, “Why are you mindful of man?” Church Gist. Answer: my name is on man; that is the only creature after my image. Psalm 8:4. So, to be a failure, something is missing somewhere. All you and I need to do is to obey His instructions.
Now, we know that Faith is acting on scriptural truths, but without understanding you cannot locate the truth to build your faith with. And what you cannot see, you cannot possess. Church Gist. That was why even when God told Abraham, ‘I have blessed you,’ (Genesis 12:2), Abraham could not enjoy the blessing. So he had to bring him out in Genesis 13:14-16.
We are not redeemed to be reproached but to reign. And something has to change on the inside before it can reflect on the outside. Church Gist. Romans 12:2. You must be conscious that redemption qualifies you for supernatural exploits.
Proverbs 21:16. A child of God who does not understand purpose, he will suffer like sinners. Even if you are born again, you are tongue speaking, and you don’t understand what God has done in your life, you will be suffering like sinners. Church Gist. That is why many Christians do not make exploits. God says you are frustrating me, you lack understanding of what I have done in your life.
- I pray that somebody’s eyes will be open as I speak now!
Lack of understanding is the major undoing of Christians. Church Gist. We are not created for struggles, sickness and disease. Proverbs 23:7. Stop thinking low of yourself.
Do you know many have brought their standards down because of the challenges of life? Do you know there are women who decided to marry men who they know by nature are not their class? Church Gist. They say, “now that nobody is coming, I will manage him.’ It is unscriptural. You don’t lower your standard because of circumstance.
What must I do to activate this glorious heritage in my life for supernatural exploits?
In Daniel 11:32, there is no substitute for sound knowledge. The knowledge of the truth is the master key to unending exploits. Don’t live your life to chance otherwise, you will have no chance. John 8:32. Church Gist. Nothing great ever happens by chance but by understanding. Too many people are victims of religious guesses. When you know who God is to you, you take your world by storm.
In the Bible, 2 brothers, one was prodigal son, one was elder brother. The elder brother did not know his father; he was very righteous, the good man in the house but yet did not know his father. When he came to the father’s house, he asked his own servants saying what are they doing in my father’s house? Church Gist. When he came to the father he said, ‘you never gave me a kid’ when the father has fat rams, calf. Prodigal son knew his father. He said I will arise and go to my father who is very rich. There are Christians today who do not know God. They know Him as God but they do not know Him as a person.
By knowing, you commit God to act. In the school of supernatural exploits you must know. You know why? If you don’t know, strength is not enough because by strength shall no man prevail. 1 Samuel 2:9; Ecclesiastes 9:11. Church Gist. Your skill is not also enough and your will power (Romans 9:16) is not also enough. So, supernatural exploits is not a function of strength, skill or strong will. I want to tell you where exploits come from.
Exploits answer to Jeremiah 1:5. God says He knows you; so you are not an experiment or biological accident. Church Gist. Your profession was settled before your mother gave birth to you; school was only a pathway. Your exploits answers to Jeremiah 1:5. You can’t fail if God has already discussed about your success.
- Somebody, you will not miss where you belong.
It answers to discovery of divine purpose. Vision is the discovery of divine plan. Look at the man, Paul. Until Paul found where he belonged, he was a suffer head. Then, one day Paul discovered his purpose and said in Galatians 1:15. Church Gist. After Jesus in the Gospel, the next most popular person is Paul; not even Peter. Until Paul found what he was separated for, his destiny was in disarray. God has created you for a specific purpose so the journey to exploits begins there.
What is it that makes the journey unique and great?
1 Thessalonians 5:24. Whatever God has commanded you to do He is committed to making it work.
- You will not miss God’s divine plan for your life in the name of Jesus.
You know why you need to discover purpose? For instance, many are leaving their country to overseas – different nations. Church Gist. In the process, they missed it and today they are suffering.
A man of God met me, he has gone to be with the Lord, we were sitting together some years back, about 4 years or thereabout. He said, Pastor, I used to pastor the biggest church in my city (I won’t call the place so you won’t know the man), but I missed it. Church Gist. He said, I left for United States, (he brought out his passport), I have the American passport, but today, nothing to write home about. He died in America. This is a man who was pastoring thousands but could not afford 5 million. He missed purpose.
When you are off divine plan you become a victim of circumstances. Let me say this to you: Before you make plans for your life, consult God the Holy Spirit for His purpose for you. Proverbs 19:21. Church Gist. Please don’t be busy doing your own thing, be busy doing His own. Many are active but are not progressive. Purpose is powerful because you can be very busy and not be making progress.
Have you ever seen in stores, there’s this horse that shakes. When you carry children, they will drop coin and the child will sit on it and the horse will be rocking. Church Gist. Then the children will be very happy, they say, Mummy, drop another coin. 15 minutes, they will be sweating but they are on the same spot. Many of us are very busy, no progress because we are out of purpose.
In Jeremiah 29:11-14. Even if you are missing it, when you pray and ask questions, I will tell you this is where to go.
Lift your hands and say, ‘Father, even if I have missed it, redirect my steps. I want to go only where you want me to go in the name of Jesus.’ We are here as Hus finished product, so find out. Make prayer of enquiry. Church Gist. This is where we miss it: we pray for God to do something, we don’t pray for Him to show us something. It is called prayer of enquiry. It is stronger than prayer you are asking God to do something for you.
For example, this Church was not growing. I would have prayed, O God grow the Church. We prayed it and Church was not growing so I stopped and said, O God what must I do? He said, read this book, so I saw where I missed it. Church Gist. ‘O God, I need job.’ Tell him, ‘O God what do I do to create job?’ it is because a man of purpose cannot be frustrated. Everywhere you are frustrated, you are out of purpose.
Listen carefully people of God: nothing can be more fulfilling like finding out where you belong to in divine plan. It is the finger of God that makes visionaries belong somewhere. Romans 8:29-30. We are redeemed to be glorified. Church Gist. Things may appear slow but are sure if you are on the track. It is better to be slow and be sure than to be fast and fail. Let me say this to you: when you are suddenly connected to God, human connection becomes irrelevant.
Joel 2:3-11. In verse 7 and 8, God said just make sure you find out where you belong, that’s where you will shine. Church Gist. Just stay on your own lane that God has created you to be. If you move from your lane to another man’s lane, frustration has started.
A great man of God, world known evangelist. I was studying about him and a man of God said, ‘do you know where he missed it?’ He was in one of the greatest healing ministers. Church Gist. He left his lane and opened hospital, and did something else and missed it. He was trying to be another person.
Walmart happens to be a Christian, the founder Sam Walton. All they do is to sell retail but it is the biggest retail shop in the world. There’s a man, David Green, all he sells is furniture but the whole world knows him; he is a multi-billionaire. Church Gist. If David Green now says he wants to do like Walmart he may not succeed. Stay in your own lane. Find out where you belong.
Imagine me going to play politics, as some pastors play; you go fail. Find out your own path and stay there and even if they attack you it will not work.
- I decree this day, you will not be in another man’s lane.
That’s what makes Christianity great and thick, each one stay where he belongs. And you shine there without sweat. Church Gist. All of us are created to be great but many of us are trying to be in another person’s track.
- May you live your life to enjoy the backings of the almighty God.
It is walking in divine plan that makes ordinary men look like extraordinary men. When it is commanded by God and you follow it, satan is silenced. Church Gist. When you stay on your path, accomplishment becomes very easy. Inside His plans lies our future. Habakkuk 2:1-3.
- I decree to someone, you are going to find your place.
When you access divine plan then you can afford to take your rest. To tell you how divine plan is powerful: one day, in Mark 4:35-41, Jesus knew His purpose and said, my purpose is that no devil can make me die by water. Church Gist. It has been ordained I will die on a tree. Men of purpose are unkillable. That is why he slept when there was storm.
You know why I don’t panic? I am on purpose in Port Harcourt. No devil can move me here. I’m on course, I didn’t come here on my own. I didn’t like Port Harcourt. When you’re on purpose, you don’t go where you like, you go where He sends you. Church Gist. Where I loved was Lagos but He said go to Port Harcourt. If you follow where He sends you, no devil can stop you. But now I love Port Harcourt, I don’t love Lagos anymore because I am not sent there.
God does not need anyone’s backing to bring His Word to come to pass if you are on course with Him. If God has said it, then be careful as not to miss it. Let me say this to everyone of us: competing with someone on divine plan is to kill yourself. Church Gist. I’ve seen people fix program when we fix program; did you see effect? We are on purpose, they are imitating. So, locate God’s specific plan for you and settle for it. His plan may not appeal to you but that is where your future lies. Nobody ever follows divine plan and regrets.
The future does not belong to people of strength but to people of divine plan. God never leads to regret. Psalm 23:1-4. Let me say this to you: the future belongs to those who have value for divine plan. Church Gist. You must do everything to operate in the center of God’s plan for your life. Ask sincere questions, make sincere enquiries.
- I pray from today, that you no longer leave your life to guesses but to divine plan in the name of Jesus!
Locate divine plan for your life. Many have discovered divine plan, then, why are they not succeeding? Church Gist. They have discovered purpose but they are not making impact. There are many preachers that it is as if God called them to suffer them. Why?
Listen carefully: life is likened to a book. This Bible is the book. When you discover purpose it is a discovery of the book; but the book is closed. You now have a responsibility. Now listen: the book is the purpose, vision, that God has given you. But if you look at the Bible, it has chapters. After you have discovered purpose, you must walk in divine guidance. Church Gist. Divine guidance are the chapters. So, God told me your purpose is, ‘Now I have separated you to be a Preacher.’ I discovered my purpose in 1995 at the age of 33. But I now began to enquire from God from phase to phase. He said, go to Port Harcourt. I said, yes, which part of Port Harcourt? He said GRA. (Chapter one). Chapter one GRA, landlord gave me quit notice. I asked him again, now that landlord has given us quit notice, where again? He said, shift. (Chapter 2). Church Gist. I asked him again, now we are too many, we can’t build school in this compound, we can’t do anything here, what again? He said, towards the airport – chapter 3. Every time you are stuck, ask questions. That’s divine direction.
When the brook dried, Elijah said, what next? He said go to the widow of Zarephath; but that is where many Christians miss it: ‘God told me to be a business man, you started the business but you have not asked Him what next to do for the next level. Church Gist. So you are just stuck in one point for 10 years. The asking is the different chapters and it will never end till you die. Every time you are stuck it means you have not asked Him for the next chapter.
Let me tell you something: He told me, plot 17 Birabi Street – chapter one. Chapter two: Igwuruta, cathedral. And then He said, now you have the university. I said but university can’t enter this place. Church Gist. He said move again close to the airport – chapter 4. As they were talking there, there’s something again he told me which I will not tell you now – Chapter 5. I can’t get stuck; before one chapter finishes, another chapter has opened.
Let me come very practical: we were doing healing, deliverance, and miracle service every month, we got to that point, we stopped and entered another chapter, Port Harcourt miracle crusade, we went to civic centre. We got to Port Harcourt miracle crusade and stopped 2007 – no space again, the stadium was full. Church Gist. We now shifted to night of glory. The biggest program ever in Port Harcourt was that night of glory. After that, 5 nights of glory; people began to do glory of all glory. When that chapter closed, He said, ‘Glory reign’. Many of us have not opened the chapter of divine direction.
Some have gotten divine direction, they know what God has told them yet they are not making progress – no pursuit. This is because no vision can be accomplished without you putting your energy to it. After all you have opened, you have to pay the price; you will accept responsibility to make it work. Church Gist. Are you hearing me? Ecclesiastes 3:1-11. Every purpose has a time; that’s where many people miss it. There has to be pursuit; pay the price. No lazy man can succeed. Give it all it takes.
You know when I slept this morning? I slept in between 2 times to hear from God. I was tired, I was not flowing. So I went to sleep but final sleep was 7:30am. When I slept, I said “Father, I know you have a purpose. Ye are gods is not working.” Church Gist. He said, teach this one. When I woke up, I began to study. I was just flowing, I didn’t struggle to prepare this message because I am on purpose. But after purpose, I opened book which is divine guidance. God will not open the book to read it for me.
Many of us don’t pay the price to accomplish what God has told us. It looks as if what God said is not true. It’s true but too much laziness in the world.
The plan is in phases; don’t be weary in pursuing divine plans. You must run with patience when you are on divine plan.
Finally, thank God for every phase. Thanksgiving is the catalyst for divine increase. God told you that you are going to have a big Church does not mean from the first day you will have a big church. No! That is showing you the end to encourage you. You will start small. Adam came as a full fledged man, he could not survive it. Church Gist. So God said that second Adam will come as a child to grow. Check any person who did not start from scratch, they won’t be able to maintain it. Everything that starts small, the man is able to stand the stress and rigours of growth. Is that true? You have to grow from one level to another.
Abraham did not find purpose until 75. So, it’s not late for you. Just do prayer of enquiry – God, what will you have me to do? Church Gist. In case He has shown you what to do, tell Him what is the next thing for you to do.
God told me, go to Port Harcourt, start in GRA and GRA, the fees, the properties are not cheap. And I had no dime, my wife had no dime. Then I went to Him and said what do I have to do for divine direction? He said how many are in this house? I said 20 something of us. He said, feed them with the Word. Church Gist. He said from what you feed them with I will raise the money for Port Harcourt. But some persons would have said, God told me Port Harcourt, therefore, find me money. So they begin to struggle. Every child of God is supposed to be an envy to his/her world. We miss it somewhere.
PRAYER:
- Cast every force standing against the accomplishment of God’s plan for your life
- You decree your eyes be open to see God’s original intent for your life.
