WHEN SOMEONE THINKS OF YOU, THEY FEEL REVIVED.
TO LAST YOU MUST FAST.
EVERY TIME YOUR PRAISE AND WORSHIP LIFE IS DRYING UP, YOUR PASSION FOR GOD IS DYING.
IF YOU ARE PASSIONATE FOR GOD, WHATEVER CARRIES HIS PRESENCE MUST ATTRACT YOU.
IF GOD HAS TOUCHED YOUR HEART, IT WILL REFLECT IN YOUR HANDS.
WHAT YOU DO FOR GOD TODAY, DETERMINES WHAT GOD WILL DO WITH YOU TOMORROW.
THE PROOF THAT YOU ARE NOT WASTING YOUR LIFE IS THAT YOU ARE REPRODUCING YOURSELF
-Pastor Paul Enenche on “THE FIRE FREQUENCY (2)” Ignite Conference|| Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
Adoration to your name Lord, we worship your name Elohim, Adonai. Thank you Master, be glorified.
Lift your hands and give God praise. Father, we give you praise, we honour and magnify you, be glorified Lord, in Jesus precious name.
The atmosphere is so sober, we trust God to see how it can be maintained as such. I will be speaking on “FIRE FREQUENCY (2)” and our objective today is to understand the products of the fire. Romans 12:11. We had established that the approved frequency for Kingdom service is the fire frequency, we also established that the approved frequency for generational impact is the fire frequency. So, the fire frequency is the frequency that is approved for the service of God and for generational impact. ChurchGist. When an individual carries fire, be it a man or a woman, what products do we expect from them.
- SPIRITUAL INTENSITY. A child of God on fire is spiritually intense. We can also call it spiritual vibrancy, spiritual buoyancy, spiritual alertness. There are people that are spiritually sleeping and some are spiritually in coma. It is worse than sleeping, when someone is sleeping, he can be woken up, when somebody is in coma you don’t wake them up. There are different levels of coma scale, we will not go into that. But when somebody is on fire, he is spiritually intense, meaning that he is on top of the range spiritually.
So, I believe today that there are people here and people watching online, whose spiritual level of intensity will shift today. When you’re spiritually intense, people come around you to acquire spirituality. Listen, when you’re spiritually intense, the thought of you invokes revival, when someone thinks of you, they feel revived, when your picture comes to their face, they feel like praying, when someone comes around you there is some climate that provokes some happening. ChurchGist. When I was in the University, fellow students, members of the fellowship would come to my room, to myself and my roommates, we were three, why are you here? They would say they came to just contact the atmosphere, they came to catch the atmosphere and step out for a while. When you’re spiritually intense there is something about you for people to catch, there is a climate of spirituality around your life.
It was like the climate that was in Naioth of Ramah, when Saul sent people to go and curse prophet Samuel. And they came to the city of Naioth of Ramah and as soon as they arrived, they began to prophesy, they sent another set they arrived and they began to prophesy. Not only was Samuel carrying a spirituality, he carried that spirituality and it covered the whole city. How many of you felt something as you stepped into this premises? There are people who just sleep here and they have an encounter, diverse encounter, deliverance encounter, you will catch something.
Lift your right hand and say; Father, I’m catching the fire and I’m leaving here with spiritual intensity, when they see me, they will know that something happened.
WHAT ARE THE PILLARS OF INTENSE SPIRITUALITY
- PRAYER VIBRANCY. There is vibrancy to your prayer life, nobody begs you to pray, you literally pray like you drink water. 1st Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. Ephesians 6:18. 1st Corinthians 14:18. Acts 12:4-5. That word without ceasing means that the prayer was stretched out. In the year 1988/1989 I taught in our little prayer house then on what I call; stretching out in prayer. I said when stretching in prayer, you start praying and when you pray until you feel like you’re tired and you have finished praying, start again, when you feel that you’ve tongued and tongued and prayed and prayed, after you have finished all of that, start again. By the time one young man did that thing, he did 21 hours at a stretch. ChurchGist. One other guy in those days after he had done 18-19 hours, he stepped out of his room and a mad man looked at his face and started running. What I’m saying is not what you may be able to carry out when school is in active session, except if you’re studying courses that give you such permission. When I am able to pray for 7-10 hours by discipline, 7 hours for a week or more and I discipline myself to that level, you know if my prayer drops it can’t drop to 1 hour, no matter how much it drops, it can drop to 2-3 hours. ChurchGist. Why is this necessary for you? It makes you lay a very brutal foundation for the future. A time will come in your life where people can’t explain the happenings around you, they can’t explain the events of your life, you have stored a lot, you have made spiritual investment. You made a lot of storage ahead of the future. Nobody has to beg you to pray, there was a time in my life, I was literally praying round the clock, one of my siblings got so concerned because all the time he saw me, my mouth was moving. Hope this guy is okay, is everything okay? Don’t feel bad or feel low if you’re unable to do many of the things I’m saying. All I’m saying is, don’t be retarded and allergic to prayer. Don’t live such a life where you’re struggling in prayer. Like I have said to you, when you come to a point and you’re able to pray extensively, pray voluminously, when you come to such a point, you’re able to make concrete investments ahead of your future. You’ve prayed ahead, maybe 20-25 years as you’re praying in the spirit and a time comes when things are moving effortlessly for you and people are wondering what is happening.
- FASTING BUOYANCY. Fasting is not something you do during emergencies. I’m talking about a life where fasting is a regular feature of your life. 2nd Corinthians 11:26-27. Paul the Apostle is speaking of fasting as a lifestyle, as a regular schedule of life. Matthew 6:16. Fasting is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when, it is compulsory. It is expected to happen continuously. ChurchGist. Most people fast when crises arise, but spiritual people fast as a lifestyle. There is something we call the consecration fast, where you’re not fasting because you’re trusting God for a husband or a wife, you’re not fasting because there is a diagnosis in your life, or because you’re told that there is a witch looking for you; you’re fasting to maintain temperature, to maintain spiritual authority, you’re fasting to be ready. Matthew 17:21. Can I ask you a question? What did Jesus mean? You met a devil and you could not cast the devil. So, you leave and go and fast, before you return back to that devil. No! The fasting that will deal with that devil, you’ve fasted it already. Smith Wigglesworth said don’t get ready, live a ready life, if you get ready, you’re already too late, because the situation and challenges of life will not serve you notice.
One of my lecturers in medical school, he will just come for lectures and he will say put away all your books, you’re now about to write a test, the normal lecturer will tell you the test will be coming up next week Wednesday or whatever. ChurchGist. This particular lecturer, the moment you arrive at his lecture hall, he will instruct you to put away your books, you’re set for a test. Students will say, sir, you didn’t tell us. He will say, listen, you’re studying medicine, no patient will tell you what is wrong with him/her before arrival. Doctor, I’m meeting you tomorrow with hypertension, so you’ll go and read around hypertension to know what to do for him, you go and read diabetes to know what to do for him, nobody does that, once they come, you’re ready to attend to them on the spot. That is the training now, you should be ready to answer any question now, you don’t need to go and read before you come, because in real life you won’t read before you will come to the clinic. So, you have such a regular fasting schedule. I’m not here to ask for money, I’m here to maintain fire.
I’ve told you this before but let me tell you again, in the wildlife park in Kenya, while we went round, the tour guide that was with us said once in a while, the Lion would come out of the forest and roar. ChurchGist. And the roar will be heard around 5 – 8 kilometres radius, just once in a while. I asked what is the meaning of the roar? Why does it once in a while? What is he looking for? It is for territorial maintenance, just to let every other animal know that he’s in charge, for them to know that a King is in this place.
That is what the regularity of the prayer and fasting does, for charging up authority. Papa Oyedepo said, you need to charge to take charge, the regular fasting and prayer especially in the spirit is charging up to remain in charge. ChurchGist. I fasted once a week in medical school, once every week, morning till evening. Most times we don’t really do breakfast but we fast once a week, when I got into relationship later on before I got married, I now increased the fasting to twice a week, one was for me, the second fasting was for us and for the children yet to be born, we were fasting in agreement for them. The success of our lives and future together, at a point she is somewhere and I’m somewhere else by virtue of duty, but the fast was maintained and prayers were made together on the phone. Do you understand what I’m saying? To last you must fast and if you have a future, it is imperative that you make a deposit into that future.
Hallelujah!
- PASSION AND DISCIPLINE FOR THE STUDY OF THE WORD.
When we were growing up in the Lord, you will never catch us without a copy of the Bible, a Bible that is complete and pocketable or that is inside the bag. There are two things that you would never catch us without as university students, you can’t catch us without a Bible and without copies of tracts, it was permanently in our possession. Reading in the library or wherever we are reading, the table on which we are reading, the content is not complete until there is an anatomy and physiology book and a Bible is also there, it’s not complete. That is, you read for 1,2 or 3 hours, your break time is for scriptures. ChurchGist. You don’t generate fire just like that. It was impossible to say that academic work destroyed your spiritual life, it was impossible. Matthew 4:4. Luke 4:4. At that time we had Franklin Bible, it was very sweet, it made life easy, I’m not sure if there was audio Bible then but there was Franklin Bible then and many other study Bibles, we were not planning to be a pastor, I had no plan to be a pastor, I was just a Christian and a Child of God on fire and all these things were tools available, it is a healthy thing to have a daily reading plan. Four chapters of the Bible in a day will make you cover the Bible in 1 year. How many of you know this? If you read 8 chapters in a day, you will finish the Bible in 6 months. You read like 16 chapters in a day, you would finish the Bible in 3 months, I don’t know if I’m mixing things up but if you read 40 chapters every day, you will finish the Bible in 1 month. So, there was a season in my life where I would just lock up myself and just finish the Bible in a month, 20 chapters in the morning, prayers in between and 20 chapters in the night. By the time the month was over I was through with the Bible.
Now, you know what that does for you, it gives you information, it gives you references. The reading of the Bible makes available revelational references such that when the Holy Spirit wants to talk to you using a verse, it is easy because the verse is there. He said He will bring to your remembrance, so He can’t remind you of things that do not exist. It says to pray from your study life, that is sitting down with some verse to get light out of it, what that does for you is that it gives you depth and then explodes your faith and then it transforms your life. ChurchGist. Reading gives you reference availability. The insight in the word gives you depth, gives you light, changes your life and explodes your faith. All of a sudden you see something you’ve never seen before and your faith explodes, change then happens.
So, when you leave here and you return back to school or to your home and you want to confirm that you’re intensely spiritual, your prayer life, your fasting life and then your passion and discipline for the Word.
- PRAISE AND WORSHIP PASSION.
The climate of worship is the climate in which we soak in His presence, everyone who is on fire for God has a passion for His presence and there is nothing that conveys the presence of God like the climate of worship. Psalm 22:3. Psalm 89:15, 100:4. Praise and worship literally keeps you in His court. Psalm 84:1-4. I remember in our time there was a lot of Maranatha Worship, Integrity worship and a lot of Vineyard songs, it was flying around the campus. For me as a person, my study was not complete until worship was playing in the background. How many of you know the cassette called “Twin-can”? It has the capacity to carry two tape recorders. It’s right there and the cassettes are everywhere, not CDs, I’m sure there are babies here who don’t know cassettes, not to talk of records. I used records also to listen to B J Thompson. But the climate was dense in my own study. Some people said they can’t do it, but for me that was the best climate for studying, a climate dense with worship.
Praise the Lord!
Every time your praise and worship life is drying up, your passion for God is dying. If you’re passionate for God, whatever carries His presence attracts you, including the Word and Worship, anything that carries His presence attracts you. ChurchGist. Praise and Worship passion and it has nothing to do with a good voice, it only has to do with passion for God.
- SACRIFICIAL GIVING AND LIVING.
Romans 12:1-2. Your life is literally a sacrifice for God, a sacrifice for your generation. In your resources, in your time, in your resources especially. I started tithing from the year 1986, in higher institution, that is 36 years ago right, from pocket money of #30, again I wasn’t planning to be a preacher, I didn’t think I would be a preacher. Yet, the accuracy of tithing has not broken for one day for 36 years. ChurchGist. Any spirituality that does not affect your resources is fake. Any level of passion you have for God that does not touch your resources is not genuine. Sowing seeds and giving as a student, not that I was planning to be a pastor but that I saw it in scriptures.
Brethren came to our room and they took the food, it was everybody’s food, I’m sure it’s still like that in some places. ChurchGist. When I got married, I was still very new to marriage. I was still at an average student’s age because I married at the age of 26, I was invited to come and preach somewhere and in those days the preaching was very brutal, just as I am doing now, deep things that will make you sober. After I finished preaching and dropped the microphone, the next person that came to pick the microphone said, thank God for that Word, the contribution that we asked you to bring, how many people brought their own today? I said what, contribution, I went up, I broke the protocol, it’s a Church, I said excuse me, give me the microphone, he gave me the microphone.
I said you know what, the message you just heard is so intense, please I want you all to go home, meditate over what you’ve heard and apply it to your life. Please, how much are you trying to raise? When he told me, I said me and my wife will pay it, don’t bother anybody anymore, we will pay it. We paid for it, out of our doctor’s salary of #2,400. The things you see didn’t start today; I remembered the Church like yesterday. One day I travelled out of home and there was a meeting, a pastor came and preached about sacrifice, my wife gave her clothes and gave me clothes in my absence. ChurchGist. How many of you know that if I was a bad husband and I didn’t know God I would have gone to collect my clothes back? I mean you can give your own but not my own in my absence. But she knew me, she knew if I was around, it would be the same thing. She gave her clothes and gave my clothes. Today I don’t struggle to wear any clothes, anybody who complains about my dressing is just wasting his or her time, I don’t waste money on clothes and shoes, I don’t know the last time I went to the market to look for a shoe or wrist watches, many years ago a sacrifice opened that way. I can assure you; it works.
When I preach on tithing today, I saw it working for me as a student in the higher institution, I saw it work and I saw it in the Bible and I don’t preach it because I want somebody to give, neither do I preach it because I am looking for money or the church is looking for money, because it is working for me and anything I have proved I will preach, because i know it will give people result. If God has touched your heart, it will reflect in your hands.
- KINGDOM SERVICE PASSION.
Exodus 23:25. When God met Saul of Tarsus on the road, the first question he asked is, what will you have me do Lord? Acts 9:9. When you’re in love with Jesus, you will want to do something. If God has conquered your heart, you’ll want to do something. When I rededicated my life to Christ in the year 1986, 12th May, I went to Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, I went ahead of other people who were coming for the fellowship, I entered the fellowship venue, I cleaned out the place and then stood at the entrance and began to welcome people into the service, I was a day 1 member. ChurchGist. I’m sure the old members would be wondering, which usher is this? He might have come from another location and he is doing his ushering work here. I came from no location. Just the zeal of God in me. Don’t be an executive Christian, you may not become a pastor later but what you do for God today, determines what God will do with you tomorrow. In the fellowship there must be something you should be able to do, in any department, at a point in my life I was literally at every department.
- SOUL WINNING PASSION.
I told you; we don’t move without tracts in our bags. 1st Corinthians 9:16. When we sat in a Taxi, it was as if it was a sin if you didn’t preach, nobody said it but it just felt like that. ChurchGist. I remember one day we were going to Calabar and inside the bus, around Ikom side, after sitting for a while I began to preach in that bus, fire fell, people gave their lives to Christ, I gave the call for those who needed to be fill with the Holy Ghost inside the bus, fire fell and they were blasting in tongues inside the moving bus, people were falling under the anointing inside the bus, people were healed inside the bus, the only thing I thank the Lord for was that the driver didn’t fall under the anointing.
That would have been very risky, except the one who fell him under the anointing will take over the steering, that was how rugged we functioned. The fire will make you at least talk to your classmate, to your course mate. I have a Medical Doctor, he may be watching now, he is a consultant, he is public health physician, he has trained and raised many medical doctors, he sent me a text message the other day, saying how I assisted his faith, to stand in the Lord, got him filled with the Holy Ghost, today he is an Evangelist doing rural mission, going from places to places, doing all manners of exploit for God, he traced it to university days. I met one young man one time, I caught him in the night, he was high on Indian hemp, by the time I finished preaching to him and leading him to Christ, you know what he told me, he gave thank you God that I lead him to Christ that day because he was to be initiated to cult the following day. He was rescued from the devil at that time, that young man is a pastor today, he’s on fire. ChurchGist. I also had a man who was a Muslim who gave his life to Christ and the moment he gave his life to Christ, I literally raised him, every time we were in a meeting like this, he will stand beside me and be praying and monitoring my mouth, one day I told him what are you doing? He said I am watching how you’re praying, when I laid hands on him and got him filled with the Holy Ghost, he prayed in tongues for about 6 hours non-stop after he got filled with the Holy Ghost. Today he’s a consultant of Obstetrician and Gynecologist, he has his own hospital and he’s also pastoring a Church.
Everyone who is led to Christ under him is under a spiritual tree, you led somebody to Christ, that person led another person to Christ, you cannot confirm that you’re spiritually intense until there is a passion for soul winning. You’re concerned about people and you invite them to the fellowship, not the one of you will go to hell without Jesus. Just tell them can I pray with you about something, you’re friendly with them. You keep showing them the love of God and you say the beginning point is to hand over your life to God, can I lead you in this prayer and so on and you’re making that little effort, and that little effort translates into a generational impact. Mark 16:20.
- DISCIPLESHIP PASSION.
This is where many people are lacking. John 15:1-1-5,16. To bear fruit is evangelism, to make the fruit to remain is discipleship. Giving birth to the baby is evangelism, to make the baby live and grow is discipleship. Just make sure you have enough fire for at least one person to desire to be like you, to desire to learn from you. Let at least one person be following your footsteps. Ensure that at least one person per time is learning something from you, one person is asking you questions, one person wants to understudy your secret. Genesis 1:28. The proof that you’re not wasting your life is that you’re reproducing yourself, don’t just be satisfied with how fine you’re dressing, how good your hair is, how smart your dress is and everybody is hailing you that you’re shining and you’re rocking life or whatever it is, or you’re doing well in your academics, all that is necessary but who is learning from you? Who is following your footsteps? ChurchGist. Who considers themselves blessed that your mother gave birth to you? Because they know they would have lost majorly if you were not born or if you were a miscarriage, that is the measure of your life. Who are you influencing? Who are you touching positively? If nobody wants to be like you in all probability your life is being wasted, somebody say God forbid.
