WHILE HE WAS BRINGING ME UP HE SAID THAT 40 YEARS AGO ONLY HIMSELF AND MYSELF WHO WERE THERE AS MINISTERS WERE THERE YESTERDAY.
HE WAS JOKING ABOUT HOW TINY I LOOKED IN THE VIDEO OF THE 1985 HOLY GHOST CONVENTION.
WE DO NOT JUST PRAISE FOR WHAT HAS HAPPENED, WE PRAISE GOD TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
SOME PEOPLE GET UPSET WHEN WE SAY WE HAVE NEVER BORROWED OR BEGGED FOR ANYTHING. THAT IS GOD’S FAVOUR.

Life is a product of personal adventures. You can’t use somebody’s heart to breathe. You have to keep your heart pumping to keep breathing. You can’t use someone else’s understanding to pass an examination. Your personal understanding is key to your success. Everything about life delivers on a personal note. People pass the bulk a lot. Someone has said you are not a failure until you are looking for who to blame for it. Church Gist. Everything that adds value to life requires our personal understanding, personal commitment, personal engagement or we will be chasing after the shadows. Praise is fruitless and valueless without understanding what it carries. Psalm 47:7. It is not the clapping, it is not the jumping that gives worth to praise, it is the understanding of the spiritual content, the spiritual values contained therein.
Prayers: Jesus, open my understanding. I want to see what is in praise. Help me to see what is in it tonight and engrace me to keep taking advantage of the same in my personal adventure.
Lord Jesus we all look up to you for the moment we have, open our understanding Lord. Deepen our understanding tonight and let your name be glorified.
Ecclesiastes says there is hope for a poor wise child than an old foolish king who refuses to be admonished. May the admonition of this month change our attitude to praise and turn it to a mighty weapon of war in our hands. Church Gist. Ecclesiastes 4:13. There are many people in Church who have settled down in orthodoxy. Room for improvement, shut. Access to progress closed. That will not be any of us.
UNVEILING THE BLESSINGS EMBEDDED IN PRAISE.
That is our teaching series for our midweek services this month including the ongoing spiritual week of emphasis. Isaiah 65:8. Every verdict of scripture is pregnant with blessings. When our understanding is opened and we engage with it, it beautifies, it decorates. Destroy it not for there is a blessing in it. Let’s not forget the fact that praise focuses on the efficacy of the word of God and not about the happenings. True praise is stirred by our insight in the word. Psalm 56:4,10. God is up to anything He says. Church Gist. That is the fountain of true praise, enduring praise, lasting praise, unperturbed praise, unconditional praise because God’s word is settled in heaven forever. Every insight is mixed with faith, joy erupts and joy erupts into praise. James 5:13. Jeremiah 15:16. When joy springs forth, praise erupts on it. James 5:13. Word-driven people are never down.
I was at the Holy Ghost Convention yesterday in Ibadan and my friend was speaking while bringing me up, he said that 40 years ago only himself and myself who were there as ministers were there yesterday. 40 years ago. He said something very interesting, He said he tried to watch the video of the 1985 Holy Ghost Convention because in 1982 there was no video. Church Gist. If there were we did not have the means to acquire one or to rent one. He said I was so tiny in the video, I said oh you were so fat then. You were fatter than a mountain. One of these days, I will show how fat he was to you on video. You will know you met a giant of a man.
When insight is mixed with faith, joy springs up and when joy springs up it erupts into praise naturally. When you hear me say I am not surprised at where we are, we give glory to God for it because I saw it in the word that if you do this, this is where I am taking you and I received it and ate it. I began celebrating it. The cheapest way up. The first mystery about praise is about holding onto the efficacy of the word, the integrity of the word. Church Gist. You never know depression when you do that. Do you know why he is talking like that? He has never been challenged. Wait for my biography, you will read about my share of challenges, exciting ones and triumphantly overcome. Something great is on your way coming. We do not just praise for what has happened, we praise God to make things happen.
Tonight we are looking at just some areas of intervention, premised or provoked by praise. Things that spring out of the fountain of praise. Please note that everything in the Kingdom delivers on personal basis. You don’t get saved in groups, you get saved as an individual. You don’t get baptized in the Holy Ghost in groups. Acts 2:3. You get baptized in water one by one. Faith is one by one, Habakkuk 2:4. Nobody’s faith can render your faith ineffective. Church Gist. So let anybody go with his comment. His comment is his cup of tea, he can go and be drinking it. Nobody’s unbelief can make your own faith ineffective. God does not require anybody’s opinion input or remark for your faith to work. It is to everyone according to His faith, not their faith.
In the same vein, it is your personal praise that counts. Thank God for congregation praise but thank God much more for your personal praise within that congregational praise. That is why in the midst of praise, someone else is healed. Someone else’s growth flies out. Someone else is wondering what is going on, why are they dancing and jumping. He has no idea of it. So in the midst of congregational praise, you find God intervening on a personal basis in the lives of people. Mind yourself in praise. Your personal praise is what determines your personal lot. Church Gist. Your lot is a function of your personal praise in the midst of praise. The journey in the kingdom begins on individual basis and it ends on an individual basis. One by one we shall appear before the judgement throne of God. One by one, not team by team, not group by group. John 7:37-38. Let’s mind ourselves as individuals in the midst of this praise.
Praise is also in dimensions. David engaged in a kind of praise in 1 Samuel 6:14 when they were bringing the Ark of the Lord. He danced with all his might not casual praise my friend. 2 Corinthians 9:6. Psalm 67:5-7. It takes fearful praise to provoke fearful blessings. One of us here was dancing and the other one was asking “na soldier man you be?”. She danced her way out of barrenness to a set of twins. Violent praise provoking violent intervention. Somebody else was commenting, someone else was received. Each one got whatever he came for. No casual approach to anything on this earth will generate outstanding results. A casual approach to Christianity will just make you a normal struggling, not knowing what will happen next Christian. Church Gist. A casual approach to any of your professions, now Nigeria is just full of funny, crazy people just running up and down. I said today, I was looking at some subject – The world of consumers is a world of mediocrity. Which Africans are most part. They just eat away their lives Sir. Not thinking of one thing to contribute any day but we are not part of that. We will impart our world. Every winner will make his mark. Every Winner following the truth of the scriptures will make his mark.
They began to shout Hosanna in Matthew 21:9-16 and then Jesus invaded the temple and began to flog out all those that were buying and selling. As they were shouting Hosanna, heaven was just stepping in to clean up the temple and chase the devil away and set them free. The power of violent praise, fearful praise. Church Gist. Whatever may have held anyone down over time, as the Lord lives in the course of this week of spiritual emphasis, Jesus will liberate such individuals neatly and completely. He will turn you into a sunrise to yourself as you engage in high praises both in church and in your bedroom.
One of the things that happen in praise is God intervening on behalf of His people to deliver them from those that are mightier than them. Psalm 149:1-9
- Every ugly thing around anyone’s life shall clear off.
As you engage in praising him, God begins to bring vengeance into the camp of your enemy. - Unusual things will happen concerning your issues this time.
As they began to sing and to praise, God set ambush against their enemies. They were all smitten and not one of them escaped. 2 Chronicles 20:20-24. Has God changed? - Whatever won’t let you go must go down for you finally.
Joshua 6:20. With your violent praise, the barriers between you and your promised land will fall down flat. You will never be listed among those who struggle for survival anymore.
Fearful praise will always provoke fearful favour. David danced with all his might. Psalm 30:7. Favour always distinguishes the favoured. We saw how favour distinguished Joseph in the house of Potiphar. A slave became the heir of the family. Church Gist. In prison, we saw how favour distinguished Joseph the inmate. Favour always distinguishes the favoured.
- In the precious name of Jesus, you never be brushed aside anymore in your life.
Mark 6:21-23. The daughter of Herodias danced and pleased the king well. You are not dancing to please anybody well, you are dancing to please God well and when that happens, He showers His favour. A hundred years of labour will not be equal to one day of favour. Church Gist. Israel was languishing for 430 years in Egypt and one day favour descended and they spoiled the Egyptians. Many have been living a life that is favour-less but in the midst of this high praises, favour will bellow on you.
You will see us jumping like antelopes in the old church. We took time to buy that property, 2.3 acres of land. We didn’t know when we bought this one. It was not announced in church once. Psalm 44:3. We got C of O for this land before the Church knew. God bought Himself a land of 530 acres with C of O that covered it all. 2.3, you organize for it, you program for it, you budget for it. 530 we didn’t know. We did the 3000 capacity sanctuary and you know how long it took us to do it and He did this one in one year without a budget. Favour is a game changer. Something drastic will happen favourably in the life of many people. Church Gist. Some are upset when we say we have never borrowed, we have never begged. That is what they call favour. No secret corner, no calling anyone, favour. Not once have I called anyone till I go to heaven. Praise is one of the ways to realms of favour. I have no human connection in my life but Jesus. I know what He demands and I am privileged to keep giving it to Him every day. Sweet Jesus. Many have left me, God has never left me. Everybody is free to leave. Jesus is more than enough. Favour will rewrite your story. That is what makes all the difference.
Praise is a mystery behind fearful returns on your seed sown. There are many labourers who are not experiencing any return at all. In 1977, the Lord gave me this outstandingly fearful scripture – Deuteronomy 28:47-48. Do you think God is using you, Okay now take care of yourself? When God turns His back, the enemy takes over. 1977 Jesus woke me up in the night and gave me that scripture as if I never read it. One of my younger ones was having her birthday and said “what do you have for me today?”. Church Gist. I said come, see Deuteronomy 28:47-48. That God just gave it to me fresh. Listen to me: if you won’t serve God joyfully, leave there. It is counterproductive. It doesn’t add value to anybody, it erodes value. God is not looking for who to use but who to bless. So it takes joy and rejoicing which erupts in praise for you to be a fruitful labourer. For you to be a profitable labourer, it takes it, Sir.
- From today, everything that stops the way against your joy loses its grip over your life.
Your seed of time, energy and resources in promoting the Kingdom of God will be wasted without joy. Psalm 67:5-6. An increase will never come without praise. Your seed is sown but it takes praise for the increase to return. Church Gist. We might be doing the same thing and getting different results. You won’t set your results on fire anymore. We have nothing we are doing behind the scene, you see us just flowing in favour and reaping bountiful harvest for our labour.
- From today, that shall be your personal experience.
Joel 1:12. All the harvest perished, all the stewardship perished because joy has dried up from the hearts of men. Praise Him with the understanding that you are invoking divine intervention over the issues of your life. I am provoking fearful blessings to flush away all traces of curses upon my life. Church Gist. I am praising God to provoke the returns of all my financial seeds sworn. Instead of getting angry with the blessed, find out what they have discovered in scriptures that you have not discovered and connect with it.
- Something unusual is breaking forth in your life.
Prices of everything are going up and all our church buildings are going up at the same time. What an interesting excitement. We just involved a new approach now to our construction. I said let’s do some pilot skin for now and as soon as we are done with that in another eight weeks, we can go en masse. En masse means go another one thousand. Favour!
- From now every air of misfortune hanging around your life that has kept you on one spot gets off your life.
Your labour of going after souls, praying kingdom advancement prayers, sowing financial seeds, and helping the needy among the brethren shall not be wasted.
Say with me “I am not dancing for fun, I am provoking divine intervention”.
- The chain around your health shall be broken.
- That captivity of your destiny shall be loosed.
- The enemy pursuing you to hurt you shall turn their bad on you.
- May all the blessings available in praise follow you home tonight.
- All your labours of yesteryears in the kingdom return with open rewards. All your labour since the year began returns with open rewards.
- I decree your showers of favour. You will start hearing news from tonight.
- You never know misfortune anymore. Church Gist. No one gathers to weep in your household.
- No one here buries any of their children, no one buries any of their grandchildren.
- No one here dies young anymore. You will live long to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
- Every gang up against your destiny is scattered tonight, every gang up against your children is scattered tonight. Every gang up against your family is scattered tonight.
- The same order of favour on this commission becomes your experience from now. The same order of favour on His servant becomes your experience.
- I pray that every hardship clears the way for you in grand style.
- May the fearful blessings provoked by fearful praise begin to attend to your life.
- May the Lord cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
- Someone here tonight will testify tomorrow.
- The Lord will visit you, miracle jobs will land here tomorrow.
- No more dry seasons in your life.
- Your days of showers of blessings are finally here.
So shall it be in the name of Jesus.
