WHEN YOUR PRAYER IS VOID OF EXPECTATION, YOU DON’T RECOGNIZE THE ANSWER WHEN IT COMES
THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS WHAT WE CALL THE PRAYER OF EXPECTATION. EXPECTATION TRANSPORTS WHAT IS UNSEEN TO WHAT IS SEEN.
THE PRAYER OF FAITH SECURES THE HAND OF GOD. IT REWRITES THE STORY OF A MAN’S LIFE, IT LIFTS HIM UP AND GIVES ACCESS TO CREATIVITY
THE HAND OF GOD RELEASES THE GOODNESS OF GOD, PERFORMS SIGNS AND WONDERS AND IS HIS STAFF OF AUTHORITY.

Heavenly Father, we are grateful for the gift of life and for the abundance of all things. Thank You for another day, thank You for another week, thank You for another Covenant Hour of Prayer. Thank You for another opportunity to know You more. By the Blood of the Lamb we gain access into this Holy Word today, let our eyes be opened to see things we have never seen. Let our ears be opened to hear things we have never heard. Holy Spirit we jointly rely upon You for accuracy, for understanding, for wisdom. Let it bellow down on us this morning. For all You do, I vow to return all the glory in Jesus precious name we pray.
Praise the Lord, I’m more than a conqueror.
Go ahead, let’s give the King of kings a hand, and please be seated.
We begin looking at the line of exhortation today captioned PRAYING ANSWER-EXPECTANT Prayers.Church Gist. It’s important for us to realize this morning that the prayer that is void of expectation will end up on frustration. The prayer that is void of expectation will end up in frustration.Church Gist. And that’s not the function of the devil standing by the door, it’s a function of the lack of expectation. We can say it this way, that intercession without expectation will end up in frustration. Acts 12:5.
Peter was kept in prison and prayers were made by the church for him. Now when the prayers were answered, because it lacked expectation, they couldn’t recognize the answer. Church Gist. That is how some answers have come to us, unrecognizable because expectation is missing. And when Peter showed up and the door and knocked, a little girl called Rhoda opened the door and ran in to tell them to stop the prayer because it has been answered. They said she was mad, God cannot make it that quick. Church Gist. Why? Lack of expectation.
As we step into this final moments of the year 2022, I’ll like you to know that one day can alter an entire year. One thing can happen that will make this year your best year! I stand to declare, by praying expectant prayers for you and for me, this year 2022 will still end up being our best year!
The prayer of faith is what we call the prayer of expectation. Hebrews 11:1. The word ‘hope’ there means ‘expected’. It is expectation that transports what is unseen to what is seen. Church Gist. The power of expectation. So the prayer of faith is a prayer of expectation. Mark 11:23, 24.
I don’t know what your prayer point looks like now, but if you add expectation to it, before the year is over, everything that God has spoken to His servant to you and to me, we will see them come to pass.
The prayer of faith secures the Hand of God. In the last quarter of the year, this last phase of the year, may the Hand of God show up for you and for me! Isaiah 53:1. 1 Kings 8:15. Nehemiah 2: 1-9.
Very quickly, there are a few things that the Hand of the Lord will do in the life of a man that will make the difference:
1, THE HAND OF GOD REWRITES THE STORIES OF MEN.
Daniel 5:5,6. The Hand of the Lord has a handwriting. Every hand has a finger, so if we are talking about the Hand of the Lord, then you better understand that that hand is a writing hand. It can rewrite the stories of men, so the Hand began to write on the wall. Now we see this in the experience of Jabez. He had nothing to show, but he prayed. 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as we pray the prayer of faith, this Hand of God will rewrite your story and my story!
2: THE HAND OF GOD LIFTS MEN AND WOMEN.
When the Hand of God shows forth in the life of a man or woman, it lifts them up. 1 Peter 5:6-7.
3: THE HAND OF GOD SAVES AND DELIVERS FROM TROUBLE.
1 Samuel 5:1-7. The Hand of God has capacity to save and deliver us from trouble.
I don’t know who may be in trouble, but I as we pray the prayer of faith, we will that Hand of God will save and deliver us from trouble!
4: THE HAND OF GOD GIVES SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH
1 Kings 18:44-48.
5: THE HAND OF GOD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MASSIVE SALVATION OF SOULS AND CHURCH GROWTH.
Any where you see church growing like water, it is the Hand of God at work. Acts 11:21.
When you see people believing, church growing, massive salvation inexplicably and it is the Hand of God at work. Church Gist. What has kept this church growing has been the Hand of God. Somebody shout the Hand of God!
6: THE HAND OF GOD PERFORMS MORACLES, SIGNS AND WONDERS.
Luke 11:20. The prayer of faith is what makes all these happen. When the Hand of God shows up, all these begin to happen.
7: THE HAND OF GOD FULFILLS THE PLAN OF GOD.
1 Kings 8:15.
8: THE HAND OF GOD IS HIS STAFF OF AUTHORITY.
Isaiah 48:13. Habakkuk 3:4.
9: THE HAND OF GOD GIVES ACCESS TO CREATIVITY.
When you see a man that is creative, it is because the Hand of the Lord has come upon him. Isaiah 66:2, Acts 7:56, Psalams 95::1
10: THE HAND OF GOD RELEASED THE GOODNESS OF GOD.
Psalms 104:39b
What have we said in essence? The prayer that is void of expectation will end up in frustration, but the prayer of faith is what we call the prayer of expectation. Church Gist. Now when the prayer of faith is made, the Hand of God shows up in our affairs.
David is a classic example and we close on this note. He engaged the altar of prayer with expectation and saw the Hand of God massively upon His life. His expectation was not cut off. At some point, he said, should I go, the Lord said Yes, go. Church Gist. At another point, he said, should I go, the Lord said, Wait for the moving of the marble trees in other words, His Hand moved the trees and that was his sign of victory.
We must keep seeing therefore, the reality of everything we are asking for in this season.
I know that for us, in the year 2022, there shall be no more carryover to 2023!
Everything that He has spoken, as we believe it He will bring it to pass in the name of Jesus.
