THE PRAYER OF FAITH THAT WORKS PART 3

FAITH IS CONSCIOUSLY CULTIVATED. IT MUST NOT BE ASSUMED.
THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT ENGAGES GOD’S ABILITY, HIS CAPACITY, HIS WILLINGNESS AND HIS READINESS.
GOD IS NOT JUST WILLING, HE IS READY. HE WANTS IT AS QUICK AS YOU WANT IT IF THE TIMING IS RIGHT AND IF IT IS ACCORDING TO HIS WILL.
ONCE THIS INGREDIENT OF FAITH IS ADDED TO ANY PRAYER, YOU CAN BE SURE OF YOUR DELIVERY.
THE PRAYER OF FAITH RIDES ON THE WINGS OF REVELATION AND REVELATION IS PROVOKED ON THE ALTAR OF PRAYER AND FASTING.

-Pastor Isaac Oyedepo on ‘THE PRAYER OF FAITH THAT WORKS’ PART 3 at Covenant Hour of Prayer ||2nd November, 2022.

So Heavenly Father we are grateful to you and thankful to you this morning for the privilege to appear again in Mount Zion, for upon Mount Zion there shall be Deliverance and Holiness and the people of God shall possess their possessions!
Lord, we have come early in the morning for no other reason but to hear You. Speak Your word to us this morning!
By the Blood of the Lamb we gain access into this Holy Word this morning and Sweet Holy Spirit we rely upon You for accuracy, for understanding, for revelation, for impartation. We give You praise and glory. For all You do I vow to return all the glory to You in Jesus precious name we pray!

Praise the Lord I’m more than a conqueror!
Go ahead and give the Lord a big hand of praise and please be seated.

‘THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT WORKS PART 3’

We began looking at this subject on Monday, from this week, your prayer and my prayer will work!
Three things to quickly note about this subject very quickly:

1, PRAYER WORKS:
Somebody shout with me, Prayer works! James 5:17. We see a man who proved this truth. So just from that, we understand that Prayer works.

2, NOT EVERY PRAYER WORKS:
James 4:3. So there is a prayer that does not work. Church Gist. So, prayer works but not every prayer works.

3, THE INGREDIENT OF FAITH IS THE DIFFERENCE MAKER ON THE ALTAR OF PRAYER:
1 Kings 18:43
This is the one that prayed that it should not rain, he also prayed that it should rain and both of his prayers worked. Church Gist. Now we see the ingredient of faith, he said, “Go and look” in the seven times! That means I am so certain that this prayer has worked. That means I am so certain that God has heard and the clouds have answered.
So, 1 – Prayer works.
2 – Not every prayer works.
3 – The ingredient of faith is the difference maker on the altar of prayer.

However, faith must not be assumed. Church Gist. It must be consciously cultivated. Look at these Scriptures and we’ve read them several times in this commission: Habakuk 2:4, Romans 1:17 and Hebrews 10:38.
It must be consciously cultivated. Faith cannot be assumed. It must be consciously cultivated! The just shall live by his faith. His faith, his faith, his faith, his faith!
Now having said that, what is the prayer of faith?
And we look at four very quick definitions of this and then we rise to pray.
What is the prayer of faith?

1: THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT ENGAGES GOD’S ABILITY FOR DELIVERY.
The prayer of faith is the prayer that engages God’s ability for delivery. Church Gist. Ephesians 3:20. He is able, God is able. So the prayer of faith is the one that engages God’s ability for delivery. Two blind men cane to Jesus, knelt down in prayer and he said, “Do you believe I am able to do this?”
Our God is a mountain mover but not every believer knows that He is able to move mountains. Mark 11:23,24. Matthew 7: 20,21.
How many believe that God is able to give you and eleventh hour miracle this month? That’s His ability!

2: THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT ENGAGES GOD’S CAPACITY
They are two different things. His ability, one; two, his capacity. The prayer of faith is the prayer that engages capacity for delivery!
If you look at that Ephesians 3:20 again; God is able, yes we agree, but what is He able to do? Exceeding, abundantly above! That talks about capacity. He has ability, but he also has capacity that is beyond our ability to reason. He is able to do exceeding, abundantly above, that means if we can ask or think it, he has capacity above it. That’s the difference!
The prayer of faith is the prayer that engages God’s capacity. Church Gist. Lord I know you are able, but I also know you are capable. You are capable of doing beyond what I’m even asking. When you understand this dimension of the prayer of faith, you hear people testify ‘God did it far beyond what I could imagine.’
That is the prayer of faith that engages the capacity of God for delivery. I love what Acts 26:8, Paul the apostle being tried, said “Why do you think it is incredible that God would raise the dead?”
Our God is an Incredible God. He can do far beyond! He has the capacity that we don’t have the ability to reason of.
Impossibility therefore is His specialty. So the prayer of faith, is the prayer that engages God’s capacity for delivery.

3, THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT ENGAGES GOD’S WILLINGNESS FOR DELIVERY
Mark 1:40-45. Luke 5:12-15. The thing I am asking, if it’s according to His will, He is willing to do deliver.

4, THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT ENGAGES GOD’S READINESS.
It is possible to be willing and not to be ready. God is not just willing, God is ready! He wants it as quick as you want it if the timing is right, if it’s according to His will. The prayer of faith is the prayer that engages God’s readiness. He didn’t just say “I will”, look at the other part of that statement, “Be thou clean”. I will it, I am willing to deliver it but I am also ready to deliver it. And this dimension can go for anything that we have found ourselves praying in church.

Church growth, for instance, if it’s according to His will; He is able, He is capable, He is willing and He is ready. You talk about your eleventh hour miracle; He is able, He is capable, He is willing, He is ready!
Everything, once the ingredient of faith is added, you can be sure that delivery is sure.

Now let’s say this as we conclude. Very importantly, the prayer of faith rides on the wings of revelation. Church Gist. Because everything we’ve talked about – His ability, His capacity, His willingness and His readiness is all revelation prone. You can’t know that He’s able if you have not caught light on His ability. You can’t know that He’s capable of you haven’t caught revelation or illumination on His capacity. You can’t know He is willing if you have not caught a revelation of His will. You cannot know that He is ready, if you don’t catch a revelation of His urgency in having that prayer fulfilled.

So the prayer of faith rides on the wings of revelation. Revelation of what? His ability, His capacity, His willingness and His readiness. Church Gist. But we provoke the revelation that builds this order of faith on the altar of prayer and fasting.
What a joy it is to catch rhema on His ability, His capacity, His willingness and His readiness.
Isaiah 58:6-8,10.
Remember where we began? Prayer works.
2, Not every prayer works.
3, The ingredient of faith is the difference maker on the altar of prayer.

-Something great will still happen for you and I, in Jesus name!

Do you catch that word this morning? Rise on your feet and let’s now engage this prayer of faith in His ability, His capacity, His willingness and His readiness. And as we are doing so, we are receiving the blessing of the hour!
