This is the month where God says “Be Full Of Joy!”
Somebody say FULL OF JOY! I WILL BE JOYFUL!
Praise God!
If you’re going to be joyful, and not temporarily, I mean genuinely, assuredly, excitedly Joy-Full and Full of Joy, we looked at several important things,those of you that were not here for the 3 days Prayer and Fasting.
1. Persevere in prayer if you’re going to be joyful!
I’m telling you this messages do that you’ll go and get them. Help yourself, recover what you’ve lost.
2. Never lose Hope!
3. Engage God’s word, if you’re going to be joyful!
4. Stand strong in faith!
You say how do I do it? Go get the message.
5. Engage spiritual warfare, if you will be joyful.
6. See a brighter future! See beyond where you are.
And today God is bringing to you: Soul Winning! If you’re going to be joyful, if not you’ll be miserable. Value Salvation, soul winning. Place high value on salvation and soul winning. That means esteem and estimate it highly.
It means giving a higher place of importance than other things. More than a job, more than a car, more than anything else.
David said in Psalm 51:12, that it is to be more valued, more than a crown more than kingship more than anything. I am still a king but I have lost something. Restore unto me something more precious. I’m still sitting in my palace, but I’ve lost something more precious. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation.
Luke 15:7.
Don’t value anything more than your salvation. Psalms 68:3. Money can’t give you that. Church Gist. A house can’t give you that. I know you’re very excited about the car, but after 6 months, it’s like every other car. Properties can’t give you lasting joy. Psalms 51:12. What joy? The joy of thy salvation.
If you want to be genuinely joyful, value your salvation. Church Gist. Value soul winning. In Luke 10:17, the disciples returned with joy. Why? The demons are subject to us through thy name. Jesus said, I beheld satan fall as lightning from Heaven. Luke 10:19. All of that is awesome, but Jesus said, There’s something greater, “notwithstanding, in this rejoice not that spirits are subject to you…”. There’s a greater joy. “Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” That is the greater joy. The joy of salvation!
Luke 10:21.
Are you wise in this world, but foolish before God? Are you wise before men, but foolish before God? Are you wise before the world but foolish in the things of God? Somebody say God forbid. The church and job, which one do you choose? You say, *Abeg, abeg, I have better things to do. If something happens to your liver or kidney, who would help you? “
That’s when you say,” Please, Papa, can somebody sleep here? (on the altar in church).” No, nobody sleeps here again. Go to your house, infact, go to your office, let that job help you.
Please sir, invest your life in what will last.
In this rejoice not, rather make this your greater joy – that your name is written in the Book of life.
Acts 5:40-42. Will persecution make you backslide? Abandon the church? Will persecution make you abandon the faith?
“They sacked me from my job. Is it not because I came to church? Carting church on my head, carrying church on my head. Now, where are they? Those your church people, where are they?”
The world thinks that is wisdom, but God calls it foolishness. When you are persecuted for Jesus, rejoice. Rejoice. Count it all joy! Even if you are persecuted, count it joy. Rather rejoice in this. That was Jesus greatest joy and if you are to be like Christ, salvation must be your greatest joy. Church Gist. Somebody say Amen! Somebody say that Amen very well!
Look at Apostle Paul in Acts 16:16-19, 23. If it were you, will you say, ‘I wish, I didn’t want to come out that day. I wish I had listened to that voice.’ No regrets. Do you know what they did?
They began to sing praises, they began to sing praises, they began to sing praises, they began to sing praises!
Rejoice over salvation. Rejoice that souls are being won. Do you know that as they were singing praises, Gvod used that platform and won more souls. Won the prisoners, won the jail or because their joy was Soul-salvation.
If their joy was Deliverance, when the chains broke, they would have run away. The jailor wanted to kill himself, they said, ‘Relax, stop, we are all here.’
The jailor said, “What kind of people are these? You were in prison, the jail broke, you people did not run away?”
They said, ‘Calm down. We belong to a higher kingdom.’
Beloved, do you know the kingdom you belong to? Let salvation and soul-winning be your greatest joy and if you suffer for the gospel, rejoice.
Dont look for man’s pity. Church Gist. If you look for man’s pity, you have lost your reward in Heaven. You have lost your reward from God.
One delegation will come to your house, “Oh so sorry, we heard what happened…”
Take over and bring the gospel to them. Don’t let them surround you with self-pity. Preach to them! Tell them brethren, this is what we’ve been reading about. That we would be persecuted for Jesus sake. I’m glad that my crown just increased in Heaven. I’m excited that God has counted me worthy to wear the same military badge with the Apostles. Take over the moment. Don’t let anybody surround you with self pity.
That is what it takes to see the best of God. Somebody say in the name of Jesus, I will rejoice in my salvation. In soul-winning, I will rejoice. Say a loud Amen.
Now if God says that there’s a great joy in salvation, if you don’t know that joy, it means satan is cheating you. Or you know it just a little, it means satan has stolen much of your blessings. Or you don’t really find much to rejoice, it means satan has blinded your eyes. The worst thing that can happen is for you to be alive, yet you are dead.
He said, I know your works that you are alive, yet you are dead. Because you have abandoned your first love.
-May that not be our portion in Jesus name!
So how do you maximize the joy of salvation?
1. Get saved and remain planted in the faith.
Don’t get saved and backslide. Don’t get saved and go back to the world. Don’t get saved and stay away from church. Get saved and remain planted. Somebody say, Get saved and remain planted. That means, get saved and continue in the faith. Church Gist. Get saved and continue serving God. Get saved and continue loving Jesus. Get saved and continue in zealous kingdom service.
Acts 2:37, 41.
Now they are saved, what should they do next in order for their joy to remain?
Acts 2:42. How did they continue? Casually? Once in a while? Well yeah, I traveled to the village, actually I’ve not been around. Well, yeah, I have a very tight schedule. Steadfastly! They continued steadfastly. In what study? Bible study. Midweek service. Fellowship. Breaking of bread. Communion service. Prayers. They continued steadfastly. Foundation class, they continued steadfastly. Worker’s meeting, they continued steadfastly. Church Gist. You don’t get saved and become a bench warmer. You don’t get saved and you backslide. You don’t get saved and you draw back. Your salvation will not benefit you. You must continue. Acts 2:43. You see what brings wonders? Continuing in the fire of your salvation. Gathering in the word, praying, you continue, you don’t slack, you continue to you press on, you rise up higher, you push further! Look at verse 46 and see the outcome, gladness was the outcome! Gladness, singleness of heart.
Some of the most depressed, sad, unhappy people are church people and its a shame. Church Gist. Once praise worship has ended, frozen iced-block faces. That’s how they carry through the week.
How can you do praise-worship and you’re still keeping malice with your spouse? The praise-worship didn’t change you? Because you are pretending. You are a fake. You are a hypocrite. You are pretending and you know it. Church Gist. How can you do praise-worship and you can’t forgive your driver? How? What were you praising? No, you were pretending. You were deceiving yourself.
They continued! It affected them while they were eating at home, gladness of heart. Gladness was there in their lunch table, it was there in their dinner table. It followed them to the office. Church Gist. When you celebrate salvation, you have compassion for sinners. You’ll have compassion for those who offend you and offend God. You respond with compassion, not bitterness, not nagging.
That is why miracle, signs and wonders can’t multiply in your life.
-I pray for someone here today, that that satanic deception is broken in Jesus name!
Say the joy of salvation rules my heart! Rules my mind! Rules my spirit! I will rejoice!
Acts 13:43. Help me ask your neighbor, do you attend the midweek service? Wake up! Don’t lose your joy. Church Gist. Tell him, Do you attend the other services in church? Have you gone through the Foundation class? Don’t lose your joy. Fight for your joy. Your joy is key to your strength. Your joy is key to your long life. Your joy is key to your victory. Your joy is key to your prosperity. Fight for your joy.
One day I opened my phone, there was a picture of a young lady who thought that she was too beautiful to be coming to church. This church. I still remember that time she was consistent because I prayed over some matters. But this time around what happened? She was one-third of her size. Blood transfusion, dialysis. Please pray, please pray, please pray. You don’t know what you escape when you hide yourself in God. Church Gist. Pray, pray, pray, she still passed. Who can arrest God?
Sir, God is not mocked. What a person sows, while you are still young… People buy chicks and put them in a poultry. I’m sure the chicks would think the man is a nice man. He will just be feeding them, 3 months, 6 months…not knowing he has a plan to eat them.
That’s the way the devil is. Don’t play with the devil.
Remember now thy Creator, while you are young, while you are strong, while you are healthy! While you are in money, while you are in good shape. That’s the time to bury yourself in God, because when you sow to the flesh, you reap corruption. Church Gist. But when you sow to the spirit, you reap life everlasting. Shout Amen!
-Lift your hand and say I will continue! Say, Father, I receive grace to continue. Where I was slacking, I arise! I arise! I arise! Say a very loud Amen.
2. Share your salvation testimony boldly. Don’t be ashamed of your salvation testimony. Paul said I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and it is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16. John 4:28-30, 39.
Question: who have you shared your salvation testimony with? Boldly. Repeatedly. Loudly. She shared it boldly. And the power of her own salvation testimony brought many to salvation. That’s what it takes to be joyful. Church Gist. Nobody can serve God in your place. Nobody can cover you from satan. He has a job to try people’s faith. Whether you like it or not, build your faith and satan will be under your feet.
3. Bring unsaved souls to fellowship. Where they can hear the preaching of God’s word. Bring them, bring them, bring them, bring them! John 4:39-42.
Help me ask your neighbor, who did you bring. And if somebody brought you, God sent me to you. When I make the Altar call, I want you to come out. When I make that altar call, don’t harden your heart. Don’t say I’m new. Don’t say nobody knows me, God knows you. He prepared for you before you came. Make sure you come outside and meet with destiny. Church Gist. The day you meet your doctor for the first time is the day you meet your doctor. And you went there for a reason. The day you meet your lawyer for the first time is the day you meet your lawyer. And something took you there. In the same way, something must being you to God. And the day you encounter him is the day you begin to encounter with him, so don’t say I am new.
Let this day be the day the Lord has made. Step into the river and let the river of mercy sweep over you and change your story.
John 4:40. Two days word is nothing compared to that testimony she gave.
Didn’t they believe before? Believing is in levels. Small believing, little faith. Little believing, little faith. Weak believing, weak faith. It has to become strong faith. It has to become great faith. Wavering faith has to become stable faith.
What the woman said was, Could this be the Christ? They said, “We know now that indeed…” (that is strong faith now). The devil cannot confront that one. Sickness will bow at the feet of that one. But that of the woman won’t go far. That is why, you don’t just say Jesus loves you. No, you bring them. You need to feed at the table I’m feeding. You need to eat what I have been eating.
That is where solidity comes from. That is where stability comes from, where boldness from. Somebody say I hear!
-Anoint my lips that I may bring somebody to your house!
Acts 10:5,6. That’s the difference between somebody that goes through Class 1, Class 2, Class 3,Class 4, Class 5, Class 6 and Class 7. Before they can get marital breakthrough, they’ve stayed so long. Before they can get financial breakthrough, they’ve stayed so long weeping and crying. Analog Christianity. Church Gist. But they are some people, they are listening out for the Holy Spirit. They are interested in hearing of the spirit. And whatever they think is good for them, they say it’s good for others too. So without being told, Cornelius said if this thing is good for me then it’s good for my family members too. Church Gist. He gathered everybody. That is why while Peter yet spake, the Holy Ghost fell.
There are some people who go through all the foundational classes, they will still be saying, When will they do Fruit of the Womb class so that they can receive. But there are some people God gives the miracle and says the revelation will come later. Because of the rate you are going with God he gives you the miracle, the teaching comes later
-May that be your level of Christianity in Jesus name! May you not be in the slow lane in Jesus name! May God give you speed in your Christian life. If you say Amen, collect it right now!
3. Encourage new converts to also continue in the faith.
Acts 11:22-24. Such people are anointed above their mates. Such people are anointed above their callings. If there’s anything that moves God’s heart, it is souls. Church Gist. When God sees an old Christian passionate about souls, there’s no anointing he won’t give to you. There’s no mantle he won’t give to you. There’s no unction he won’t release upon your life. Because God is interested in souls being planted in his kingdom. Church Gist. He won’t ask you whether you have the gift of healing a sick person, the gift will flow. Somebody is possessed, deliverance will flow. He will pour it out. Don’t just continue alone.
Stop Sunday Sunday Christianity, it is baby level. You will lose your joy. It cannot resist the devil. It can’t handle challenges. Continue in the faith. Push deeper. Make sure you don’t stop at the beginning level. The day you get admission is not the day you graduate. It’s just your starting point, you continue!
5. Pray for the eyes of blinded souls to be opened.
Who blinded them sir? Blinded by satan or blinded by religion. Romans 10:1-3.
Don’t let the devil succeed. Pray that the Lord should open their eyes to the and remove the veil from their face. Help them to understand that real Christianity is dedication, devotion and commitment. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4.
The Lord will answer our prayer in Jesus name.
When you see a Christian whose job is to copy the patterns of the world, the trend of the world, the style of the world, pray for them. A young man that insists he must puncture ear and puncture nose and puncture tongue and puncture everywhere ‘puncture-able’, tomorrow when the world’s fashion has changed from there, he would remove all those things.
The Bible says, we should be people of moderation. Maintain a standard and a balance in God. Don’t flow like a pendulum with the world.
Don’t be like the world, the world is blind. You can’t be following blind people up and down. No, you are different. You have been bought with a price.
How many of you know that when they were going for the Queen’s sons wedding, all of those mad people dressed well. That’s earthly royalty. All of them. Nobody went there without wearing bra. All of them, their cloth was covered up well. It went down. All their cleavages took shape.
Yet God said you are a royal priesthood. And you’re dressing like…
If your joy in God must be real, you can’t do like the world to otherwise you would lose miracles, you would lose signs and wonders. Church Gist. You would lose breakthroughs for being like the world.
Say I must be different! I must be balanced! I am royalty!
The House of God is a place where people should grow in knowledge, grow in understanding, grow in revelation.
Somebody say I receive light now.
6. Show love to those who are saved to bring them to Christ.
Don’t be rude. Don’t talk behind someone’s back what the person will hear and be wounded. Just because the person is wrong, just because the person has offended. Because the person is ignorant, don’t be mean, don’t be rude. Show love. Matthew 5:16, 44.
7. Esteem the glories of heaven above the sufferings of this present time. Don’t let the world use suffering to make you hate God. This world is not perfect world. It has fallen, you would meet offenses. Church Gist. Don’t put your hope, your joy, your life on this world. Do you know that song that says, This world is not my home/I am just passing through/ My treasures are laid up/Somewhere beyond the blue. 2 Corinthians 4:16,17.
Romans 8:18.
8. Endure hardness without getting discouraged. Hard times will come, it won’t last forever. 2 Timothy 2:3.
9. Use every opportunity to remind yourself and others of the return of Jesus Christ.
Let them know that your Savior is coming for you. Your Savior will appear in the skies. John 14:1-3. 2 Timothy 4:7.
