IF YOU WANT GOD TO MAKE THE DEPOSIT, YOU MUST MEET THE DEMANDS

In the name of Jesus, the pay of serving Him, you will not miss it in Jesus’ precious name. Hallelujah. I welcome everyone here to this service this morning in Jesus’ precious name. We had a most exciting and interesting service by Wednesday when we looked at “the way of God’s Power”. Church Gist. It was so explosive, we could literally not finish the message, lives were touched. So we are continuing on that subject, “The Way of God’s Power 2”.
Psalm 63:1-2.
– lift your hands and say, “Father, I will see Your Power and I will see your Glory”.
– say again, “oh Lord, I receive help to do Your will, to live for You, I receive help to fulfill Your purpose today, in the name of Jesus, I receive that help now”
– say, “Father, I receive Your power to manifest in my generation in Jesus’ name.
I want to start by saying that the Power of God is not a luxury, it’s a vital necessity in the life of a Child of God. Church Gist. It is no luxury to have Power, it is necessary to have Power. When that man was kidnapped, it wasn’t kidnapped for the power of God to be available at that time, it was a vital necessity. This man, Catholic man, whose wife was diagnosed with cervical or uterine cancer, Power was necessary for that woman to come out.
Second thing I like you to note is that the Power of God does not belong to some super spiritual people, the Power of God belongs to the People of God. Acts 1:8.
What is the way of Power?
1. Being born again
2. Flowing in the Holy Spirit
3. Flowing in worship and praise
4. Seeking God early
We look at all of that (on Wednesday), we may not be able to look at all of that today. Church Gist. I’m going to go to three or four others this morning.
5. Desperate desire for God’s Power. If the Power must work in your life, you must be desperately desirous of that Power. Psalm 63:1-2. It’s a desperate desire. Church Gist. If we must see Power, there must be a desperate longing and desperate yearning. Philippians 3:10. What does it mean? The desperate desire for God’s Power means;
a. The refusal to exist in powerlessness. I refuse to exist powerless, I refuse to face situations that I am powerless against, I refuse for people around to be confronted by the devil and I am powerless against it. The refusal to exist in powerlessness.
b. The decision to have and be all that God has in store for our lives. I don’t want to be anything less than what God has in mind for my life. Church Gist. I don’t want to die short of what I am meant to be in this life, everything God has in store for me, every power and deposit God has in store for me, I want to have everything. It’s that decision. That decision causes you to place a demand on God.
Many years ago in my own life as a Pastor, I made up my mind that I was not going to just exist or dwell in a realm where people around me are in problem and I am helpless. It took me into many fastings and prayers. I made up my mind, “I won’t be 4:32around and God is looking for who to send” – that desperate desire, it positions you for Power.
6. The Lifestyle of Prayer. Genesis 32:24-28. We break into the realm of Power by prayer. Acts 4:31-33. Luke 3:21-22. James 5:16-18. People of Prayer are people of Power. Men and women of prayer are men and women of Power. The hour of prayer is the hour of Power. Church Gist. Acts 3:1. If you know prayer, you know Power, no prayer equals no Power. If you know prayer, if you understand prayer, you’ll understand Power but where there’s no prayer, there’ll be no power. So, prayerlessness is a foundation for powerlessness. Beloved brothers and sisters, if you want to shift up in Power, shift up in Prayer.
7. Light from the Word. The Word of God carries a pregnancy of Power. Ecclesiastes 8:4. Luke 4:32. Luke 4:36. The Word is a container of Power. What does that mean? Access to fresh Word equals access to fresh Power. Every time you see new light, you’re upgraded in Power. Church Gist. The transmission of the Word is the transmission of Power. 1 Thessalonians 1:5. Hebrews 1:3.
– some say a loud Amen.
Jesus Christ is the Word personified. So He is Power personified. John 1:1-5. The depth of your Word will determine your strength in Power. We saw that in the life of Paul the Apostle. Church Gist. He was a man of depth in Word and a man of strength and Power. Your depth in the Word will determine the dimension of the strength and Power you walk in.
I told you the story before; one day, they brought a young man to me, they tied him in chains with about 4 padlocks and about 4 or 5 people holding him, only son of his mother and I was coming from the office, the office on the ground level where the media room was, as I was coming out through the Church, I saw this young man with about 4 or 5 men struggling with him and the mother stood crying and told me, “he’s my only son” and he was mad. Church Gist. I looked straight at the young man and I said, “leave him!” and the people looked at each other like, “leave who?” This is someone that they have chained with 4 padlocks, and I said, “leave him!” They left him, next I said, “loose him!” They looked at each other like, “well, if he’s to descend on anybody, himself is here, he will descend on all of us together”. So they unlocked the padlocks, unwound the chain, his hand was already bleeding. He adjusted his dress and said to him, “sorry”, he said, “thank you, sir”. No prayer was prayed there. I said, “go on your knees”, he went on his knees, I said, “pray after me”, he prayed after me. On that spot, he was normal and I handed him over to his mother and I said, “devil, you’re gone, mother take your son”. Church Gist. This operation, was that a commando operation or what is that, it was less than 5 minutes and they walked out of the Church. He walked out a gentleman and never returned back to say that he was mad anymore. Our Pastor then, he’s now the Pastor in Kaduna Church, he came to me and said, “excuse me Sir, what just happened?” When you said, “leave him”, you have not prayed, when you said, “loose him”, you have not prayed. I said, “I just saw something, the devil came at the wrong time” I just saw something from the Word, I saw Luke 10:16. Church Gist. When the Holy Ghost wants to explode faith in your heart, He gives you an interpretation of scripture that blows your mind. This was what the interpretation was to me, He said, “the devil that can say no to you is the one that can say no to me, if the devil can’t say no to me, he can’t say no to you”, the second interpretation, He said, “My voice is in your voice, when you say it, instead of the devil hearing you, he is hearing Me”. So, when I say, ” leave him”, it wasn’t me that the devil heard, he heard Jesus, when I said, “loose him”, it was not me he heard, and there’s no way the devil can hear Jesus and not run, infact sighting him alone was enough for him to run.
Every time you shift up in Word, you shift in Power. In fact, your prayer struggles begin to reduce when your Word insight begins to increase. Church Gist. Things begin to happen effortlessly when your insight in the Word begins to increase.
– I prophesy upon someone here today, a change is coming your way, God opens your eyes to see what you have not seen before. You believe that, shout the loudest Amen.
8. The Lifestyle of Humility. Humility, what we call death to self. Mathew 6:9-13. The Power and the Glory belong to God. If God will not get the Glory, He will not release the Power. Don’t forget it for life. It is only the one that will return the glory back to God that can have access to the Power of God. Church Gist. There are many people who have seen traces of God’s help, traces of God’s mercy and Power but they mismanage them and God withdrew and said, “no, I am God, that is my name, I am not planning to divide my glory with anybody” Isaiah 42:7-8. I was praying for about 7 days total fast, no food, I believe at that time, there was no water as well, I’m not advising you to do that now because at that time we did very desperate things and while I was in the prayer and asking God for the greater manifestation of God’s Power to help people, deliver the afflicted and make more people to see more results and God said to me, “what you’re looking for is not hard but will you defend my glory? I am not looking for who to share glory with”. God does not want to release His Power so that man can share glory with Him. Church Gist. The Lifestyle of Humility and death to self. If God’s Power must increase in your life, you must decrease in yourself. John 3:30. Arrogance must go, pride must go, “braggadociousness” must go, boasting must go. Have you been around people who are so boastful, braggadocios, so ostentatious, so pompous, so full of themselves and so pumped up in themselves, they’re a demigod to themselves, they look at everybody as nothing. Church Gist. Those kind of people are not going anywhere, if they’re somewhere now, get ready, they’re about to crash, that was where lucifer was, he was created, positioned and elevated but he became too big for the one who positioned him. Isaiah 14:20.
When pride arrives, grace is lost and when grace is lost, disgrace appears. Do you see the equation? “For God resisteth the proud and giveth grace..” Grace and Power go together. Acts 4:33. Church Gist. Anywhere you see grace, you see Power and what can bring Grace can bring Power. Humility brings Grace, humility brings Power. Pride deletes grace, pride deletes Power. When you’re proud, you lose grace and when you lose Grace, you embrace disgrace.
I heard the story of a big Evangelist of those days, mightily used of God, powerful man and he became so powerful that one day in South Africa, he was ministering and felt so carried away and he saw all manner of miracles and he said, “the whole world is now under my feet”, his feet, not God. Church Gist. It’s only God who says, “the Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool”. So, when this man said, “the whole world is under my feet”, God said, “I will show you who has the world under His feet”, that was the last crusade he ever preached. He left out of that crusade and the person who wrote this story said, it appeared like every affliction he ever cast out on others returned back to him, everything. I can go on and on; Nebuchadnezzar had so much power, arrogance and pride came, he entered the bush to learn agriculture by experience, not by education, by experience. Herod gave a speech and they said, “this is the voice of a god, not the voice of a man” and he took that glory and God sent one Angel, smote Herod, Acts 12:23.
– that shall never be your portion.
No matter how high God takes you, always remember that you’re still a man and without God, you can do nothing. Church Gist. All that God needs to do is to cause the brake to stop for once or cause the heart to stop beating for a little time and then you’ll realize how human and how normal and how regular you are.

Do you want to see the Power of God? Do you want to see the Grace of God? Do you want to see the Anointing of God? Let all the things you just heard be your lifestyle and I will say more things and I will stop.
This is the conclusion, if you want God to make the deposit, you must meet the demands. If God must make deposits, man must meet the demands. That is what is called “covenant”. Church Gist. Covenant is, you do this, God does this. If you want God to make the deposit, you must meet the demand. The deposit of God’s Power will answer to the demands of Power. I believe that as you go through the things you have heard this morning, that your life will shift in levels and shift in dimensions, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYERS
– Father, open my eyes into Your Word, help me to see light from Your Word that will make me to break forth into the realms of Power, help me to see light from Your Word Lord, in Jesus’ name.
– Father, I make demands on the fresh baptism of the Spirit of prayers. Father, I ask for fresh prayer fire. I receive it now Lord, in Jesus’ name.
– Father, I make demand for a new level of supernatural power. I refuse every trace of weakness and powerlessness. Father, I make demands for a new dimension of Your Power for my life and loved ones, to be a blessing to my generation. I make demands for a new mantle of power Lord, in Jesus’ name.
– Father, we ask that in your Power that you will give Nigeria a drastic intervention, visit Nigeria in Your Power like You visited Israel in Egypt and brought them out of captivity, visit us in Your Power in this season, oh Lord in the name of Jesus.
