Father, we give you the praise and the honour, blessed be your name in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
I welcome everyone here tonight in the Precious name of Jesus Christ. I’m sure that I have permission to be without a tie tonight because the whole of last week was very tense. Church Gist. Morning, evening, tie, tie, tie, so I just decided to look a little bit relaxed tonight. Am I allowed? Just once in a while, not all the time, the official way is to look the way we look. So, I just wanted that permission before I go ahead (laughs).
- Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150:1. The Lord bless His Word in Jesus’ name. I’m speaking quickly on the subject, “Changing Levels by the Power of Praise”. On this last day of the month of November, and as we shift into the month of December, which is the final month of the year, it is important to understand this subject.
First thing that is critical to note is that it is crystal clear in Scripture that praise is a secret of Power. Psalm 150:1. Acts 16:25-26. Praise is a secret of power.
Secondly, the power of praise is the power to move lives and destinies from level to level, phase to phase, dimension to dimension. Church Gist. We are going to look at examples in Scripture that there’s such power in praise that can change your level, phase and dimension.
- Creation. At creation, God the Father moved from day to day in the course of creation by the force of praise and appreciation. Genesis 1:4-5. God needed to see that what He did was good, He needed appreciation before He moved from day to day. Church Gist. Genesis 1:10, 12-13. It was as if He had to say that it was good as if there must be appreciation before there could be progression, as if there must be appreciation before there could be acceleration. It was as if, if the last result was not appreciated, the next result is not accelerated. Genesis 1:18. Day to day happened by the power of appreciation. Progression of day to day happened by the force of appreciation. It appears as if where there’s no appreciation, there may be only stagnation, it appears as if where there’s no appreciation, there can be no acceleration. Church Gist. It appears as if there’s a connection between praise and progress. It appears as if progress happens very quickly and swiftly for those who understand the language of praise. “I am not on day seven yet but so far so good”, that’s God Almighty. “Everything I want to achieve has not been achieved yet, but this is good so far”. If God Himself can use appreciation before He gains acceleration, then it’s important that we do that. Church Gist. Many of us are waiting to reach day 7 before we appreciate the things we’re seeing. We’re waiting to reach day 7 before we see that something good happened on day 1 but God will not wait for that. God will appreciate day 1 before day 2, appreciate day 2 before day 3 and that kept the system going. Church Gist. That was creation.
- The Children of Israel before the red sea. Psalm 114:1-5. The children of Israel on their way from Egypt, all of a sudden, got confronted by the red sea. Church Gist. The good thing that happened for them was that there was “Judah” in their midst. Judah means Praise. Psalm 114:2-3. The sea saw the presence of the Almighty inside of Judah (praise) and fled. The meaning of that is, the Children of Israel crossed from one side of the red sea to the other side of the red sea by the Power of God’s presence through praise. Church Gist. The meaning of that is, Praise is the bridge you use to cross the oceans of life. It is the bridge we use to cross the gulleys, the valleys and the obstacles of life. If there’s something that is between you and your destiny, they are crossable by the power of praise. Church Gist. You can cross from one side of the sea, river or the gully to the other by the power of His presence through praise.
- The crossing of Jericho wall. Joshua 6:20. The children went across the wall of Jericho into the realm of their inheritance by the power of praise. Church Gist. Between them and their inheritance was the wall but the wall collapsed by the Power of Praise. It is our appreciation that is key to the demolition of the opposition. Every opposition to our destiny can experience demolition by the power of appreciation. Church Gist. This is not just poetic or a nice saying, it is reality. Everything that is an opposition can experience demolition by the power of appreciation. Appreciation and celebration of the Most High God is key to the demolition of the oppositions of lives and destiny. Church Gist. If there’s any man, woman, boy, girl or any system on earth, in heavenly places and on earth, they can experience the demolition by the power of your appreciation.
- Possessing the Promised land. They crossed the red sea, wall of Jericho, it is now time to possess the promised land. Judged 1:1-2.
- somebody say, Praise shall go up.
Do you know the meaning of that? When Praise goes up, the enemies clear out. Church Gist. If you can make praise to go up, the enemies clear out and go down. “Who shall go up first to fight the Canaanites?” “Judah”.
Next thing to note here, those who know how to give praise don’t come last in life. Church Gist. If you know how to praise and celebrate God, if you know how to rejoice in the Lord, you don’t come last in life. I am speaking from a practitioner’s point of view – praise, worship surrounds my life. My wife says, “there’s a way to know when daddy has returned home, it is either the message is playing, the Bible is playing or the sound of worship just hits you, either it’s playing from his phone or it’s playing from the mouth” and there’s another one to know that I won’t tell you about (laughs). Church Gist. It is not possible for you to be left behind in life if you know how to praise and appreciate God.
Finally, the third thing I will say on this point is that God delivers victories into hands of worshippers. He delivers victories into the hands of praisers and worshippers. Inheritances! He delivers possessions into the hands of those who know how to praise. “I have delivered the land into his hand. I have delivered the victory into his hand.”
- I prophesy to somebody here, victory is coming your way!
- STEPPING OUT OF CAPTIVITY INTO LIBERTY is the fifth power of praise. I told you that praise changes people from phase to phase, from level to level. Church Gist. And so you are talking about stepping out of captivity into liberty. It happens at the frequency of praise.
When Jonah was in the belly of the fish, what brought Jonah out the most was praise. Jonah 2:9,10.
If you read from verse 3 down, Jonah kept on complaining, nothing happened. Until he changed to the tune of thanksgiving. Church Gist. When he did that, the Lord spake to the fish and it vomited him out. By the time God began to hear the sentiments of praise and thanksgiving and appreciation from the mouth of Jonah, God spoke to the fish. Everything can hear God. Your captivity can hear God. Your captors can hear God.
- I announce to someone here today, the situation of your life is about to hear God by your praise. Say a loud Amen!
Our second example, we read it already in Acts 16:25-26.
How do we praise God to change levels?
Three things:
- Create a climate of the presence of God around your life by lifestyle worship and praise.
Create a permanent climate of the presence of God by lifestyle worship and praise. Church Gist. Don’t wait for when it is time for levels to change. Create that permanent climate of the presence of God. Psalms 22:3. That was the presence that Judah carried. Judah was a sanctuary, Israel was his dominion. Don’t wait for rain before you look for umbrella. Hold it ready. Carry His presence. And confront the Jordan. The Red sea did not serve them notice. The obstacles of life did not serve them notice. Church Gist. You enter an office and you jam a demon in the form of a man. The presence of God you carry clears them out. You enter a village and you jam a strong witch, you don’t have the time to go and fast and come. Church Gist. You don’t have the time to go and do night vigil and come. You come wired with power already. Somebosy say wired! You come wired with power, wired with presence already and you clear them out with the speed of light.
Hallelujah. Very important!
Smith Wigglesworth said Don’t ever get ready, live ready. If you try to get ready, you may be getting ready too late. Live ready! Live in readiness equal to every emergency. Church Gist. Equal to the urgency. Paul the Apostle said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13.
I am ready for anything – devil, witch, lizard, anything!
That is, “Pastor, Togo stadium is filled with people right now and there is a crusade. All manner of afflicted people are there right now. I can take a flight there within the next one and a half hours, will you be able to go? Why not, let’s move now. Do you need to go and take a 3, 4, 5 days fast before going? No. Do you need to go and take a 4, 5 days fast before going? No. I came loaded. If you like, you can ask their devils. Even as we take off on the plane from here, they’ll be sending message to each other and running already.”
I am equal to anything, equal to anything, through Christ which strengtheneth me.
-Look at your neighbor and say, Don’t get ready, live ready! If you try to get ready, you are getting ready too late. Somebody say a loud Amen!
Somebody lift up your right hand, say Father, I am not getting ready, I am living ready! I am equal to anything! Equal to every urgency! Through Christ who strengthens me. Shout the loudest Amen!
- Praise and worship God in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24.
Worship God in reality and in revelation. In reality means in authenticity. Church Gist. Don’t fake your worship, don’t fake your praise. Let it be real. In spirit – from the heart. Genuine. The kind of praise you would do when nobody is there, when nobody sees you. In reality, in authenticity. And then in truth means in revelation. Church Gist. The Bible says Praise God with your understanding. Psalms 47:7.
With the depth of the understanding of the God we are serving. The depth of understanding that we are not wasting our time. And that our praise is producing result. Church Gist Worship God in reality (authenticity) and in Truth (revelation). That is why it is not every song that some of us who have revelation agree to sing.

We used to sing that song in the 70s and early 80s, sing with all manner of tears.
🎵🎶No more sympathy/No more heartbreaking/Farewell to sorrow/Victory at last. Victory at last/Kai/Victory at last/Kai Victory at last/Kai🎶
No! Victory is now! We refuse heartbreak, we refuse sorrow in the now! No, no victory is now, victory is now, victory is now! We are of God and we have overcome the world because greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.
The writer was sincere, but it is possible to be sincerely wrong. No, victory is now. God said, Declare it in my ears, as you have spoken in my ears, so shall I do. I am not waiting till I get to Heaven to experience victory. I will see victory in the earth, I will strangle the devil. I will slap the demons, the witches upside down. I will deal with the devil here, experience victory here and experience victory there!
There are songs that I changed the words. Ancient songs that I add some words in the middle to just reflect the reality of revelation. Church Gist. The reality of light, the reality of truth.
That is what it means to worship Him in spirit and in truth. In reality and in revelation.
-Lift up your hands, say Father, my victory is now. I am not waiting for the end to see victory. I am seeing victory now!
Shout the loudest amen!
- Consistently release the praise of faith. The praise of faith. At the Healing and Deliverance service yesterday, I preached on the Praise of Faith.
It basically involves two things.
First, it involves giving God praise ahead of what you expect Him to do. Giving Him praise ahead of what He has promised to do. What His word promised that He will do.
The kind of praise that Abraham gave in Romans 4:20. When the promised child Isaac was not yet there, the Bible said he staggereed not at the promise of God through unbelief, but he was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Church Gist. Giving God praise even when the child had not yet come.
The second dimension of the praise of faith is praising God for when He has done it because you know He did it. Church Gist. You’re praising God when He has done it because you know it didn’t happen by chance. It is faith that gives us thanks because he knows that it was God who did it. Ordinary people think it may have happened by chance. Psalm 103:1-5. So, the man and woman of faith lives in praise. Praise while it is happening, praise after it has happened. So, faith praises God, you just live in the realm of faith. 1 Peter 1:8.
Those who are around me have a cause to laugh all the time, those who are around my father in the Lord, they have a cause to laugh all the time. Some people encountered my father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo and said, “ah, the climate is just like around you, he just made us laugh and laugh and laugh”, I said, “yes, that is the climate of the people of faith”. Church Gist. When both of us are talking on the phone, my wife is aware who I’m talking to, because he drops one bomb, I drop one and everybody is just exploding in excitement. He said to me, “have I talked to you in any subject in which there was no laughter?” I said, “nothing, including terrorism”, that is, laughing at the devil, laughing at the defeat and failure of the devil, laughing at the uselessness of the dedevil.
-I am here to announce to you that the month of December shall be the best month of your life. If you’re saying Amen, you will say the loudest Amen.
- Proverbs 4:18. As we praise tonight, you’re accelerating into a better December.
- Every red sea that stood before you, between you and what God has designed for you in 2022, tonight I announce that that red must give way, that red sea shall be parted into two.
- Every Jericho wall that is standing between you and your destiny, today, the wall shall collapse, the wall shall experience demolition.
- I announce to you today, by the power of this same prophetic Word, that land that is yours, physical land, spiritual land, the land of your destiny, from this praise tonight, you’re stepping into that land.
- the enemies that have proved very difficult and indomitable, tonight, you shall defeat them by the power of praise and your praise shall deliver your portion into your hands.
- everywhere the devil has kept you, your loved ones, family member, your children, everywhere they have been kept in captivity, or your resources, your destiny, the whole of you, tonight, by the power of praise, that captivity is over.
- I see someone battling with urinary incontinence whether it’s a paralyzed or incontinence from another reason, whether it’s someone that is here or someone whose relation is here right now, I declare, it is over. You’re coming out of that season of reproach, smell and stench of stale urine, in the name of Jesus.
- Today, I ask that the Lord will baptize us with the grace to praise with revelation, with reality. He will baptize us with the grace to praise Him habitually, continuously, tenaciously and to praise Him out of the depth of understanding tonight, in the name of Jesus.
- lift up your two hands and begin to thank Himfor His Word to you tonight.
