Shiloh 2022! And Covenant Highways!
Shall we lift up our two hands to Heaven as we approach the first Hour of Visitation in Shiloh 2022! Church Gist. Lord, visit me! Lord, I desire an unforgettable encounter! Make sure your heart is crying for a definite encounter, experience and impression! Ask God for a first hand encounter! Pray in the Spirit and in understanding, pour your soul to God!
From this first Hour of Visitation session, I want to encounter your Word like never before! Definite encounter in the covenant! Lord visit me! Begin to let the Lord know that you are ready to receive the understanding of the Word! Lord, my heart is open! Church Gist. And by Your grace, I am set to receive your engrafted Word which is able to feed my soul and give me my inheritance among them that are sanctified! Thank you, Precious Lord! In Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed!
In this first hour of Visitation, Shiloh 2022! God will surely visit you! And you see, every visitation from Heaven culminates into the transformation of man. By this Hour of Visitation, as God visits you, you will experience a new level of transformation! Church Gist. In the Name of Jesus Christ!
When God visits a man, he begins to experience miracles, signs and wonders. He begins to experience the unusual! His level begins to change! That is you in this session!
-Father send the right Word this morning, put your Word in my mouth! Let my mouth be filled with the Word you have sent! Give to someone here a Word in this season. And Lord we reserve for You all the glory for what we know that you will do!
It’s a privilege to be asked to take this first Word in this Hour of Visitation for today, and I am not taking that privilege for granted. Church Gist. I’m taking it for gratitude. Gratitude to God and for the Apostle over this Commision, our father who has kept on handing over to us the table of the covenant for over forty years!
Now, out of the abundance we have received, it is out of it that the Holy Ghost will enable me to bring just little within the time allotted. I believe that God’s Word will find a place in your heart.
I’m asked to share with us on, ‘THE PRAYER COVENANT’. It is one of the fundamental covenants in the Scripture. It’s a covenant that must be kept. It is not if I like, I pray, if I don’t like I don’t pray! It’s a must! Prayer is a divine assignment from God Himself! And it’s a non-stop assignment. Church Gist. It’s not an assignment of, ‘I have done it’! No! There is always what to pray for! And there is always what to pray for! That’s why He said, ‘Pray without ceasing!’ 1 Thessalonians 5:17. This is the covenant that puts you in motion to escape all the oppression of the devil!- The prayer covenant!
Well! Whatever that has not been consistent with this covenant in your life or prayer altars, God will heal all your infirmities! Church Gist. Some of these words are coming:
1.To remind you some of your responsibilities in the prayer covenant
2.Some of the words are coming to empower you for greater dimension to pray better.
Let me say this to everyone, there is none of us here that has prayed enough. There is no graduate in the school of prayer! We learn more, to pray more! We see more to pray better! Church Gist. If you are truly prayerful, you will discover that the more you pray, the more you see the need to pray the more!
If you see a man say, “I have prayed enough!” Okay, where is the proof? ‘I have done everything I ought to do, nothing is happening’! There are too many things that you have not done! That’s why nothing is happening! Church Gist. Those who walk and pray according to the covenant, they don’t say they have nothing to show! No! There is something to show! Those who know their God, they shall be strong and they shall do exploits! Daniel 11:32.
Well! Another thing that this teaching will do: Your prayer limitation will be broken! In the Name of Jesus Christ! I thought that I am a man of prayer until I read from somebody that prayed better! And ever after I encounter the Light, you will see my office has maps of the world, maps of Africa and maps of Nigeria! You will be wondering if I’m doing an aspect of Geography because they are so conspicuous like that. Church Gist. But God has taken me a step further that every troublesome part of the world is God’s territory that is invaded by the vagabond! By demons and agents of hell! It’s my father’s world.
The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof! Psalms 24:1. The people should not die! He said, “I don’t even want even sinners to die!” And then there is a place in the world where war is going on and people are dying! Even though it must come to pass, it can be controlled by prayers! So my own break in the office is to pray! It also satisfies my physical therapy! Church Gist. I stand up and at any point and I discover there is trouble and satan seems to be winning, I lay my hand and begin to intercede! I didn’t know that before and that expanded my limitation in prayers!
I want to say to everyone under the sound of my voice, that God will break every limitation of prayer that you have before God in Shiloh 2022! Church Gist. A new prayer energy will surge up! In the Name of Jesus Christ!
We will also learn what it takes to have our prayers answered! Enough of wasted prayers! And enough of waiting forever and becoming wasted as you are waiting for answers! Church Gist. You are going to a new realm, that while you are yet speaking, God will be delivering the answers! In the Name of Jesus Christ!
Let’s take our text from Jeremiah 29:11. The thoughts there means plans. I know the package, I have the blueprints and the content! This is the Lord Almighty, the God of covenant giving an assignment Jeremiah 29:12. Church Gist. That Scripture contains all that is packaged in the prayer covenant: ‘You shall call, you shall come unto Me and then I will answer you!’
-May this Scripture be fulfilled in your prayer adventure!
Let me say now that prayer has its root in a heart that is learned with the will of God Jeremiah 29:13.’You shout for Me with all your heart and not with all your mouth’. That is why you will see some people screaming with all manner of demonstration and their prayer is not going anywhere! Church Gist. If it is not from the heart, there will be no connection with Heaven!
May I give you the definition of prayer, prayer is heart-to-Heaven communication securing Heaven’s attention for intervention, it is not about mouth to Heaven! Church Gist. Heart to Heaven! The moment you are kneeling down and saying something and you know that your heart is not there, don’t waste your time, stand up and go and do something else!
Because people spend hours in prayer but their heart begins to go all over the world! They go to their friends in Canada and from there to the one that is in Holland and from there to their office to solve all the problems that are there, and to their children that are in the school! And then, they say, I have prayed for one hour, to who? Yourself! Church Gist. And of yourself, you will get your answer!
-Beginning from now, put your right hand on your chest, your heart will be fixed on God anytime that you approach the Throne of Grace! Church Gist. I come against every wandering spirit of the prayer altar and I command focus and concentration! In the Name of Jesus Christ!
Let me tell you this, Prayer is a fundamental covenant- It is basic! You can’t jump it and go to something else! Prayer is not, “Let us do something else!” You can’t do anything! And if you do it, you won’t do it well! If you don’t go via the foundations of prayers! Prayer is the foundation of every success that will stand the test of time! Otherwise, it can be a balloon success that comes up now and fades away in no time! Prayer is the foundation!
Jesus’ Ministry as depicted in Matthew, Mark, Like and John began with prayers. Jesus warned the apostles, ‘Tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until you are endowed with power from on High…Luke 24:49. Don’t rush, don’t say, ‘We know it’! Don’t say, ‘We have been imparted! Tarry! And they were in the Upper Room praying until the power fell.
One of the things that this covenant provokes is you embrace it and follow the demand of it! Prayer covenant when followed with understanding, it will deliver to you, the power to commence! So you will start anything that you want to start well! If you pray before you start! It will be delivered to you as we continue! The power to continue! Church Gist. Paul the apostle says, ‘Having received help from above…Acts 26:22. And that is what we seek in prayers!
Continuity is the function of connectivity on the prayer altar and it will deliver to you also, the power to complete! You will become a man of accomplishment- No more abandoned projects! Church Gist. But if you start with prayers and you go lukewarm, continuity is doubtful and no accomplishment!
For every God ordained venture, power to begin! Power to continue! Power to accomplish is provoked in prayers! Hear this! Church Gist. Prayer is the control tower in the Kingdom and a pilot that would not mind the control tower will end up in a crash!
-Your Christianity will not experience a crash!
So disconnecting from this prayer tower may lead to a crash in your destiny! And prayer is one of God’s covenant tools for realisation of our glorious destiny!
Yes, we have a glorious destiny! We have a prosperous destiny! But we would pray all the way until everything that is pertained to us is delivered to us on a platter of gold! In the Name of Jesus Christ!
Now what is prayer?
Prayer is dialoguing with God on the basis of covenant guidelines as spelt out in God’s Word! ‘Come, let Us reason together… Isaiah 1:8. Covenant rooted prayers are Word based prayers that God cannot but answer! Church Gist. That’s why you have to fill your prayers with Scriptures, ‘It is written’. What are you praying for? God may not hear your word but He must surely hear His Word! Prayer is sending God’s word back to Him to secure intervention, confirmation and manifestation!
Let me give you another definition, prayer is putting God in remembrance of His Word and prophecies. Church Gist. For what? To secure deliveries and fulfilment! Putting God in remembrance of His Word, promises and prophecies in order to secure deliveries and fulfilment! Isaiah 43:26.
Hezekiah is an example of covenant rooted prayers in Isaiah 38:3. There was a negative prophecy on him, ‘You are sick, you may not make it, you will die’! Hezekiah said, “For what?” And he went to God in prayer and said, “Remember now oh Lord how I have walked before Thee in truth… I have walked in the covenant Isaiah 38:3. And Hezekiah wept sore! That’s prayer! If you check it to verse five, you will see that Isaiah was asked to return and withdraw the Word!
The Mountain of Shiloh 2022, is a mountain of remembrance! Just like Hezekiah went to God, you go to God and say, “Remember now!” Begin to press covenant buttons that must be remembered for the delivery of your wonderful answer! Church Gist. In the Name of Jesus Christ!
What is the covenant purpose for prayer?
1.To secure help and intervention from Heaven. Hebrews 4:16. Let us come! It is a secure help and divine intervention! We are so helpless! By many standards! No matter how you feel and what you think, you are still helpless! If the Lord does not help you, you are finished! Even in your state now. Church Gist. In 2 Chronicles 20:4, the Bible said, Judah gathered together to ask help! That is one major purpose of prayer!
2.To advance the Kingdom of God. God runs His Kingdom through the prayers of the Church and of the Saints! To advance God’s Kingdom on the earth! Psalm 2:8. There will be no Church growth without prayers! You can take hold of anything here! I’m the owner! Church Gist. Ask me and I will deliver it to you! I will deliver souls to you, I’ll deliver even the material world to you!
3.To resist and destroy oppositions and oppression! You don’t keep looking at the devil, wasting your life and destiny! Tampering with your family! You don’t keep watching! This unending struggle in your career! Church Gist.To resist and destroy oppositions and oppressions Ephesians 6:10-13. And in verse eighteen, He brought out vividly, the prayer covenant- Praying always! How many times? Always! Ephesians 6:18.
So when will you finish this syllabus? Supplications for all Saints? Praying always? You now get somewhere and say, ‘I have prayed enough’! You have not prayed enough, you have prayed some prayers! Church Gist. And you must continue from where you stopped! The Lord gives you understanding!
4.To enforce your consecration! If you are prayerless, you will be sinful without knowing! A prayerless man, we have heard it say in Nigeria, is a powerless man! And the only resistance against the forces of wickedness is prayer! There is nothing the devil fears in you and in through you than your prayers. Remove your prayer intensity and prayer fire and you are off! Church Gist. The flesh will take over! You will become lukewarm, careless and insensitive.
So one of the purposes of prayer is to provoke and enforce our consecration to God and the Kingdom! Zechariah 3:1-3. We see what becomes of Joshua the High priest. Who is Joshua? And then who are you? And we see the story, Satan came and put upon the Man of God, a High priest with a filthy garment! Zechariah 3:4.
If you are not prayerful, you will wear filthy garments until you become spirit, soul and body- Filthy! And what do we mean by consecration, it is the summation of godliness, righteousness, holiness. Are you hearing me? Sanctification! All those cannot be attained or received without prayers. Remember! Romans 1:4- Spirit of Holiness! Church Gist. So there is a spiritual dimension in Holiness! And whatever that is of the Spirit you receive through prayers! Anything that is promised by the Spirit must be approached with prayers for delivery!
5.To fellowship and interact with God on a continuous basis. It is not just to ask for something! It is not just to receive something! God delights in your coming! He delights in seeing you! He delivers in your thankfulness, your praise, your worship! So one of the reasons why we pray is to fellowship with God! In case you feel that you don’t need anything! Go to God! Church Gist. He’s your father, if God is your father, go home! Go and interact! How can two walk together except that agree? Amos 3:3.
So the Bible says in Luke 18:1, men ought to pray and not to faint! 1 Thessalonians 5:17, pray without ceasing! Colossians 4:3, continue in prayers! Why the continuity? Fellowship! So it’s not just when you kneel down and assume a prayer posture that you pray! Church Gist. As you drive, you are still in fellowship with Jesus! ‘Thank you Jesus’! Your heart is talking! Pouring your soul! Your heart is busy and connecting with the Celestial in order to control adequately with the terrestrial! May the Lord give you understanding!
So these are few, these are not all the purpose but I believe that all these purposes shall be fully achieved as you pray! In the Name of Jesus Christ!
Let me mention the Spiritual dimension of this covenant! There is a Spiritual dimension to prayers! That is why not everyone that wants to pray is praying! And not everyone that prays receives answers! Church Gist. There is the Spirit of grace and supplications Zechariah 10:12. And God said that He will poor it among the inhabitants of Jerusalem and that’s talking about the Church!
-So I command the fresh release of the Spirit of grace and supplications! New fire on your prayer altar by the Spirit of grace and supplication in the Name of Jesus!
And Romans 8:26 said, ‘We don’t know how to pray as we ought to- We need help’! And our Helper in prayers in carrying out the demands of this covenant is the Holy Ghost! Romans 8:26. The Spirit takes over and makes us break through limitations! Church Gist. Instruct us on the prayer altar, strengthen us with Might from the inner man to continue praying until we get to the point of answer! In the Name of Jesus Christ!
I want to let you know that we serve a prayer answering God! And every prayer that is lining up with the covenant provision is marked for an answer! Whosoever asketh, receiveth! Matthew 7:8. God cannot turn down prayers that are prayed in accordance with His Word! He delights to answer all, not ‘answer some’, with good speed! Church Gist. In Isaiah 65:24. That’s a very good Scripture there that will make us rejoice! And it shall come to pass, that before they call, He shall answer… Isaiah 65:24. Ah! Ah! They are just preparing to call, He says, ‘This is the answer’! They have not left the altar, they are still on their knees, lifting up their holy hands to God. And God said, ‘I will answer’!
-Beginning from Shiloh 2022! Speedy answer is your portion! Wonderful answer is your portion! You will no longer have wasted prayers! Answers will keep tumbling down! In the Name of Jesus!
What are the covenant demands for answered prayers?
1.Understand the will of God for what you are praying for! For the subject matter you are praying! You are praying about marriage! Go and study what God said about marriage! You are leaving about healing! Church Gist. Go and get healing Scriptures! Meditate on it before you go for prayers! Understand the will of God because if we pray according to the will of God, He heareth there! 1 John 5:14
- Avoid ambiguity in prayer! Be specific! 1 Samuel 1:13. Hannah does not just pray, she said, ‘Hey! I want a baby boy, if you can give me a baby boy, I’ll return him to You to.serve You’! Don’t just pray and say, ‘Oh! God bless the whole world!’ That’s not prayer! Church Gist. Oh! God bless my family today, you have not prayed! Generalisation in prayer cannot provoke an answer from Heaven!
3.Have faith in God! Mark 11:23. Be loaded with expectations! Have faith in God!
4.Approach the Throne of Grace with thanksgiving and praise! Don’t just be in a hurry because you are in an urgent situation. ‘Oh God! Come down! Oh God! Do this! Oh God!… No! Don’t do that! You prepare the atmosphere for Him and for your connectivity! Enter into His gate with Thanksgiving and into His Court with praise…Psalm 100:4. So your approach matters in prayers! Church Gist. Approach with hallowed words of praise and worship!
5.Fill your prayer with relevant Scriptures! You can even open the Bible and read appropriate Scripture and use it to emit fire in your prayer altar.
6.Avoid worry and anxiety Philippians 4:16.
And as we round up this teaching. What are some of the hindrances to prayers? Many do not have their prayers answered and their answers delivered because of the following:
1.Sin and disobedience Psalm 66:18. A sinner cannot approach the Throne of Grace and be accepted! You will cry and He won’t hear! Zechariah 7:13. God asked you to stop fornication! Church Gist. You won’t hear, now you have Human Immune Virus (HIV) and you are crying, He may not answer!- You better introduce mercy into your prayer points!
2.Ignorance of the will of God on the subject matter you are praying for. Many are ignorant of provisions in the covenant! They are ignorant! They don’t know it! Yet they claim that they know! And so their prayer is dry! Empty! Church Gist. The prayer has no substantive evidence! So, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge! Hosea 4:6. Go and be enlightened and receive understanding!
- Doubt and unbelief. If you doubt God, you are downed. Unbelief! You must believe Him before He can receive you! And before you can receive what you asked for James 1:5-7.
4.Self centeredness and uncared attitude for the poor and others. ‘Give me food, give me water! Give my wife! Give my children’! And after that? Prayer has ended! Make sure that you intercede for others! Intercede for souls! Galatians 6:6-9. Church Gist. Whatever you make happen for others, God will make it happen for you! Learn to pray! Have a list of people that you are praying for, on a regular basis until there is testimony!
5.Impatience. It may take a little bit of time, but it must come! He that must come, must come and not tarry! Don’t say, ‘If God will do it, He would have done it, who told you?’ If you trust Him, you will wait for Him!
6.Pride. Luke 18:9-14. Pride! ‘I am this, I am that’. You better humble yourself before you go to the prayer altar. Two people went to the prayer altar in Luke 18:9-14- The Pharisee and the other. The Pharisee was making a boast, ‘I pay my tithe, nothing should be tight for me! I do this! And I fast twice’, God said, ‘I don’t want people like you, you are helpful, I want the helpless! Church Gist. I want those who can trust me, who knows that I am the only one! The Bible said, ‘He went to the other place condemned and the other one who magnified God, worshipped and bowed before Him was justified!
-From today, every aspect of pride in your heart is cast out! Grace to approach the prayer altar with all humility and with all connectivity, receive it in Jesus’ Name!
Stand on your feet, give Him thanks for whatever you have received! Give Him honour and adoration! I embrace the prayer covenant afresh! Church Gist. I follow the demand of it! So shall it be! In Jesus Name!
