One of the foremost blessings of fasting is the outbreak of revelation. An outbreak of revelation leads to sweatless breakthroughs in life. Arise! Shine! For thy light has come. Church Gist.
Prayer: Lord let your light break out today that will lead to sweatless supernatural breakthroughs in my life. Go ahead and pray, demand for it.
Lord Jesus let there be a visitation to every worshipper in service this morning. Church Gist. Let everyone joining us today across the nations be equally visited in the name of Jesus.
Remember the story of this man, Olushoga, who was in India awaiting a bone marrow transplant spending 200,000 a day on treatment and got hooked on to the service on a Sunday. It was a Communion Service, he took the communion from the word of life from here in India on Sunday. By Tuesday he was declared free of bone cancer. His word runs swiftly to every open heart. You might be on the front line and not get it. You will get it today. It is about an open heart. May each one’s heart be open to receive the word of life today. Church Gist. Someone was out in the hospital in Atlanta and was here with us at one of those breakthrough nights, had full-blown blood cancer. He partook in the feet washing and Jesus healed him clean. All the way from Atlanta, how much more you are standing here. Today is ordained your day of change. Somebody within Japan, who had lost 18 kg in no time and became like a skeleton but Jesus visited him and he got supernaturally restored all the way from japan, today is your day.
Lord reach out to us today in a unique way and let your name be glorified in Jesus’ precious name. May the grace that has followed us through the first week, follow each of us through the remaining two weeks. Church Gist. None shall grow weary. None shall faint on the prayer altar. None shall faint in searching of scriptures, every question of your heart shall be fully answered in this season.
From this Monday we will be taking live testimonies in all of our prayer meetings. Because we serve a prayer answering God not a prayer storing God. You are not praying into the cloud, you must have your testimonies. So expect your testimonies.
ENGAGING THE POWER OF PRAYER AND FASTING FOR DOMINION PART 2
They came to Jesus and asked Him why the disciples of John fasted but his own are just eating away. He said the bridegroom is here fasting on their behalf. The day cometh when the bridegroom shall be taken and in those days shall they fast. We saw the bridegroom taken up from Mount Olive. Disappeared into the sky, the angel said “this Jesus you see going up will come down like manna”. So the days are here. Luke 5:33-35. The days of fasting are here for the Body of Christ. Jesus fasting for us has gone to heaven. The days are here. That was repeated three times to show that there is no mistake about it. Matthew 9:14-15, Mark 2:18-20. So fasting is not a gift but every believer’s spiritual responsibility for triumphant living. Matthew 17:19-21. Fasting is a spiritual platform that empowers believers to command dominion over principalities and powers, rulers of darkness of this world and the wicked spirits in high places. Church Gist. So it is not a gift, it is not a calling, every believer’s covenant responsibility for triumphant living. Isaiah 58:6. What it says is that I have prescribed fasting for loosening the bonds of the wicked. It is for triumphant living, it is not punishment. It is not a church agenda. Do you want to live a triumphant life which is your right in Christ? Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. Then embrace fasting as a covenant responsibility for your triumphant living on the earth.
The man called Esau sold his birthright for a morsel of meat. Oh, poor Esau. Do you know how many poor believers we have? Always eating, early morning, mid-day and night. You know my system demands that I chew something every time. Chewing away destiny without knowing. Among the blessings is that your health will spring forth speedily, so it gives you dominion over sicknesses. Fasting gives people dominion over sickness. Isaiah 58:8. So the veil on your mind that won’t let you see what God is saying is broken off during fasting. So it is not a church doctrine, it is a Jesus covenant. Isaiah 58:11. Our 28 years of endeavour in Lagos were overrun in one year, 2015. Our church growth endeavours just doubled in one year by his guidance. His guidance is the highway to your high places, my friend, not just going anywhere you see. Our 27 years of labour on the foreign field was overrun in one year because He said so. When you are guided, you are in command. People just go anywhere they like, just move anyhow. Not you anymore.
So fasting helps your spiritual antenna to be in place to catch divine signals on which step to take per time and then it culminates on access to our high places. Isaiah 58:6-14. It empowers our access to our high places. Fasting! what an asset, to many it is a liability but to those with spiritual discernment, it is an asset. My prayer is that you will see the asset in fasting and take full-blown advantage of it. Never see it again as a liability. It’s only 3 o’clock, Papa will say don’t sell off your birthright but I am very hungry. We were in a fast when the seven pillars of this commission were unveiled. The seven prophetic pillars. I was like a wind picking things from heaven that were yet to come. He let me into internet technology when it was not here. He let me into Faith Tabernacle when there was nobody here. We were 63 and He told me that we were going to build a tabernacle that will sit 50,000. Nonsense! This Brother David has a problem. That is the problem you are seeing here now. Revelation 1:10. What you do is to boost your spirit man by subduing your flesh so you can pick what God is saying.
Why have I said that? Develop yourself to enjoy prayer and fasting and let it soothe you. Soothe your mind, soothe your body, soothe your spirit. All this chocolate Christianity won’t go far, “I just thank God” who are you trying to harass? You better wake up and take responsibility.
We are in the days of prayer and fasting in the Body of Christ. Among other things, fasting expedites answers to prayer. Isaiah 58:6. We are not waiting till the end of the fast, every heartfelt call you make will be answered with speed. Instant answer to prayers, so expect it. Don’t pray into storage. Don’t pray it will happen someday. Businesses will explode in the course of this fast. Miracle jobs from least expected sources will land on the life of many. Church Gist. Peace will be restored into every troubled home. So let prayer and fasting become your spiritual companion in this adventure. It is not about if you pray but when you pray. It is not about if you fast but when you fast. Matthew 6:6,17. It is about when, it should be a schedule of our lives. The man Daniel was praying three times a day. Psalm 55:17. Draw a schedule of prayer and fasting. Enjoy it, it is for our triumphant living.
Prayer and fasting becomes most profitable when it focuses:
1. On a crave to please God.
Matthew 26:41. People just forget that. They are demanding for things. The things debarring you from accessing things you have not cleared it. A crave to please God makes prayer and fasting a sweet adventure. Church Gist. Lord, another day is here. Deliver me from temptation. Lead me not into temptation, deliver me from evil is a daily prayer. If that is your crave, prayer becomes a sweet adventure. Not things. These are things debarring you from accessing things.
2. A crave for kingdom advancement
Those two things will just keep your prayer life buoyant. People think it is the counter of a bank where you just go and collect what you want. It is a walk with God. Walk with God putting you in command of things around your life. Kingdom advancement covers praying for your church. For God’s presence to remain dominant there. Praying for your pastors to remain on key with God, declaring the word with boldness, free utterance. Church Gist. Praying for members of the church for their breakthroughs which will always lead to the breakthrough of the Church. The testimony of one can bring 50 people, can bring a thousand people. You pray people out of their crisis to their breakthroughs. So much to pray for. Those who engage with this hardly have a thing to ask for, they are simply added to them.
In case you are doubting, look at this boy standing before you. You know God, you can ask God what does this man standing before you pray about. He prays for your well-being, your breaking forth for the kingdom to keep growing. So what about you? He takes care of it. You better understand the Jesus system of prayer. It will change everything around our lives. Paul said I prayed three times that this thing will be taken from me and he is a prayer giant. He said I thank God always for you and he prayed three times for his problem. They don’t have what to pray about. In the precious name of Jesus, may this new orientation change your spiritual life forever. A crave to please God secures for us His presence. Which devil can stand God’s presence with a man? John 8:27. So when you get to that point, God’s presence becomes domiciled with you and if God be for us who can be against us. So a crave to please God to a strategy forever breaking forth in life. Psalm 24:7. So wherever you enter opens supernaturally. His presence opens it. Israel came out of Egypt, the sea saw them and fled. Church Gist. Problems that others are struggling with, they flee from you by reason of His presence which we secure with a lifestyle that pleases God. A life that pleases God will secure divine presence that will always make a supernatural difference in all areas of our life. So when you look at John 8:29 you see the blessedness of a crave to please God as a lifestyle for God’s people. Lord, I can’t just afford to miss you. Another day is here, see me through this day let every trap of the wicked one be broken. I mustn’t fall into any temptation today. What you are doing is not just crying, you are securing God’s presence.
Why do we need to do this? We are in the last days and the Spirit of God says that many shall depart from the faith, sin will not look like sin, they will just be wallowing in it. 1 Timothy 4:1-2, 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Men shall just be grossly carnal and miss heaven gallantly without knowing. So it takes a crave to please God not to be caught in the web. It takes help from God which we obtain from the altar of prayer not to be caught in the web. We are in a very bad time. A crave to please God is vital. Amos 3:3. 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Church Gist. Satan is looking for who to pull down, he is working day and night. Luke 22:31. Simeon! Simeon! Satan is strategizing how to bring you down. Simeon pray! Simeon says it doesn’t matter, I will kill him. You can’t see him, can you kill someone you can’t see? Satan is strategizing the fall of believers so we must be up and running with help from above. He wants us to miss out of God’s presence so He can make us a mincemeat. No! All those things you see flying around now, they don’t last. Outside the fear of God, the future is not secure. No matter who is preaching it Sir, outside the fear of God, you have lost out without knowing. Lord keep your fear burning in my heart so I keep living to please you so I can secure your presence. It is not a thing to toy with.
A crave to advance the kingdom which engenders supernatural breakthrough. You can’t go after the kingdom as a priority and not command supernatural breakthroughs. Stress-free breakthrough. Matthew 6:33. I entered into a covenant with that in 1976. All this “I entered into a covenant” let me tell you what it means. Psalm 50:5. Every covenant is certified by sacrifice, not money. There is something you let go of to step into that covenant. It is not “I just entered into a covenant with God” at what cost? At what cost is that covenant? You have read quite a number of our materials of what I said to God when I wrote that covenant. I turned my back on everything, they are no longer mine. It is not sacrifice of money. Which money is it not God who gave it to you? Sacrifice of your life. Making God your reason for living. Not just saying it but mean it and tie it to an oath. Now listen, by the grace of God there is no value added to my life that I prayed for. You can ask God if you see Him if I one day prayed about a house or a car or confess it or confuse it or a plane. No! Where are they coming from? From additions based on a covenant. Please grow up! Someone met me yesterday, one of my sons. He said he had a dream. I said what about it. Church Gist. He said he saw me, we came in a jet and he stood as a giant in front of the jet. He said that means that he is one of the giants that God is raising. I said they don’t become a giant in the dream. You take covenant responsibilities to become a giant. Don’t stand in front of a plane. There are all these dreams that don’t have any roots. Is that how to become a giant? Why don’t you dream that you are a general in the night and then go and look for the uniform? If they catch you, General John, when did you join the Army? It was in the night that I saw I was a General. We will not be children playing in the marketplace again. Did I pray for him? No! Go and take covenant steps that make a giant. I am not a prayer contractor. Go and take covenant responsibility that makes a giant.
The last days are days of the fulfilment of prophecies. Acts 3:20-21. Jesus will not return until all biblical prophecies are fulfilled. We are in these last days when God is fulfilling those prophecies before our eyes. You won’t miss your portion in it. Among the last days prophecies are the prophecy of the outbreak of revelation. Which is facilitated through prayer and fasting. If you want to be a beneficiary of the outbreak of revelation in this end time, then enjoy the prayer and fasting platform as the covenant highway to the realm of outbreak of revelation where you are walking by the light of scriptures and breaking forth on every side. Church Gist. There is a veil that the devil uses to blindfold us from accessing the light of scriptures because the darkness has no power against light but if he can blindfold people from accessing light, then darkness can keep on dominating. 2 Corinthians 4:4. Some of those blindfolds will never give way except through prayer and fasting. Now watch, I read Dr Copeland’s books on prosperity and his wife’s books. I read them four times but I couldn’t find them. So I went on a three-day fast and light broke forth on the third day with rhema from heaven, “my son David, my prosperity plan is not a promise. It doesn’t answer to prayer and fasting, It is a covenant. Until your part is played, I am not committed”. What is my part? Genesis 8:22. Life! Life!
I was on the mountain seeking access to the dynamic ministry of Ezekiel. Watch what happened. On arrival at that mountain the first thing that happened was a snake from the tree (I never knew snakes climb trees. I only know they are on the floor. It was later I knew that they are climbers) landed before me. Instead of me being afraid guess what I said? This must be the garden of God because a serpent was found in the garden of Eden. I am not leaving here Satan. Nonsense! And we were going to sleep there, that night, the following night and the third night. Then the sky went black, I said rain stop. The rain didn’t stop. I said I won’t stop either. So the rain came down. You know they say it rained cats and dogs. Even if it is ice blocks, I said I am not going anywhere. I was using a torchlight to read the book of Ezekiel. The rain stopped because I was under a tree and the tree rain started falling. That one is like an injection, so I had to move out of the tree shade. The following day, the sun came and dried the clothes on me because there was no change of clothes. On the third day, the heavens came down. Church Gist. “Behold I have touched your tongue with the coal of fire and from henceforth as you say it, you see it”. So it is not something you wake up from one bed “God just told me something”. No! It was a gruesome adventure. Now I say it according to what He said and it happens. Whatever this prophet says into your life, if you care to believe it, I can’t believe it for you. Jesus said it to them and it didn’t work because they refused to believe Him. If you choose to believe every prophetic word of release that comes your way today, it will be openly delivered. Prayer and fasting facilitate outbreak of revelation which engenders supernatural breakthroughs, sweat-free breakthroughs, stress-free breakthroughs which is your portion from now.
Fasting and prayer facilitate manifestations of the manifold wisdom of God that enthrones. The wisdom of God enthrones men on the earth. So we saw Joseph enthroned by the wisdom from on high. We saw Daniel enthroned, and Daniel showed us the way to accessing the deep things of God from the altar of prayer. Daniel 2:19. We saw him again in Chapter 10 of Daniel praying and fasting to access one particular insight for three weeks. So Daniel showed us the way to access the manifold wisdom of God. Paul, a man given to prayer and fasting, commanded unusual access to divine wisdom. He was king of the Apostles in the word of the Spirit. In fastings often. The Bible talks about the manifold wisdom of God at work in Paul. He calls it the many-sided wisdom in all its innumerable aspects and infinite varieties. Ephesians 3:8-11. 2 Peter 3:15. He was a wisdom bank of the early church. Church Gist. He was a man given to prayer and fasting. So prayer and fasting facilitates access to divine wisdom. It facilitates access to divine wisdom that makes kings out of peasants. It shows you things that the camp of the wicked can’t put their fingers on. What is he talking about? It is from above. What comes from above is above all? They can’t get what you are talking about. James 1:5. So they ask, they don’t wait. They ask for it. He gives it liberally without calling anybody a fool. James 1:5-7. So they demand for it and the altar of prayer and fasting is a platform for demanding for wisdom from above in any area of interest. The last days agenda “rule thou in the midst of thy enemies”. It is by wisdom that men reign. Proverbs 8:15-16. You want to reign with Christ in life? Engage the prayer and fasting platform for access.
There are some outlandish spenders who are not tithers. You know what? They lack the discretion of the covenant. God sees them as wasters so He can’t entrust more into their hand. What they waste per week is more than their tithe in a month. For what? Wife is suffering at home, their children are suffering and they are doing big boy in town. What a life! This boy doesn’t put money in his pocket. If I want to give something there is a process so I can account for what I give. One day I was at the airport with one of my mentors, somebody greeted him and he said “give home #500”. I said for what? The man laughed. I said for what? For greeting you? So if someone else greets you now you will give him #1000. So which account will that go to? Is that for the poor or for the greeter? Psalm 112:5b. I knew I needed a personal accountant because I needed to pay my tithe. Church Gist. I must pay my tithe regularly, it is not by guesswork. I know where I started from and I know where I am now. You better wake up and stop playing games. All these big boys or big girls in town, they don’t work. You can’t rewrite the Bible, it won’t work. You can’t create your own heaven, you don’t know where it is. Wisdom is the principal thing. In all thy getting get understanding from the altar of prayer. A wise man shall hear and increase in learning. Keep learning from those who know better. I went through the school of church growth with Yonggi Cho and it is showing. I went through the school of ministry through diverse ministers across the globe and it is showing. I went through the school of cell growth and replication with Yonggi Cho and it is showing. So we learn wisdom, we don’t only pray for wisdom. We learn wisdom from those who have it before us. A wise man shall hear and increase in learning. In the name of Jesus, your throne shall not be lost to spiritual carelessness. You must be listed among the reigning believers in this end time.
Profitable Approach to Fasting
1. We must always come thanking, praising and worshipping God for access.
Don’t come complaining. Don’t come murmuring, don’t come harassing God, come thanking God, praising God and worshipping God for access. Psalm 100:4. Let us enter into His presence with Thanksgiving or no access. Let us be thankful to Him and worship His name. No access! Don’t say I have too many things to ask God. Don’t you need access first? You need access, you can’t get across to anybody in the U.S. without +1, +1 is the way. Without +1 you won’t get there. +1 is non-negotiable for access. If you like put +10, it won’t get there. It is + Thanksgiving, praise and worship to connect. Otherwise no connectivity. What happened to network? It is not the network, it is the wrong number. Wrong number without thanksgiving that is genuine. Church Gist. Not “Papa said we should come with Thanksgiving. I enter into your presence with thanksgiving. Every day thank God, thank God with all that we are going through. Okay! I thank You in case a pastor is listening to me now, he will say I am not thanking God, so I thank you oh and I bless you”. You are just blessing Him, access is auto. Some are on the mountain now crying and they have not thanked God for once. Oh God! Nobody is hearing. No matter how much you shout, without +1 are you speaking to anybody in America? You mean you can’t hear me? Nonsense! You are crazy. He is not hearing anything. No more wasted labour on the prayer altar. Thanksgiving and praise and worship is our code of access. You don’t have it, you can’t get there.
2. We must engage the force of faith which guarantees access to our prayers.
Prayers are barren without faith. Matthew 21:22. Mark 11:24. No guesswork.
3. We must come boldly and not beggarly.
Do you know what makes you bold? 1 John 3:19-22. Confidence can not be fabricated. There is a platform that engenders confidence, the platform of pleasing God is what builds confidence on believers on the altar of prayer. Proverbs 28:1. You can’t fabricate confidence. Church Gist. Confidence is a product of a lifestyle of pleasing God. It comes inside you, you hear me say except God has not sent me. What nonsense! Let’s settle down and know the root of these things and buy into it. Your confidence shall not fail anymore on the altar of prayer.
4. Be dedicated to kingdom advancement endeavours as a priority on your prayer altar.
It is God’s secret card for a sweatless adventure in the kingdom. Where he keeps adding to you beauty, honour and glory beyond what you can ever think. Buy into it.
– This shall be a year you will much remember in your life and this fasting season shall make unusual things happen in your life.
Who are prophets? Today is our first Prophetic Release Service. God told me, “step out and declare the restoration of all grounded destinies. Church Gist. Cry aloud in the valley of dry bones and I will give them life”.
– Today, everything holding anybody hostage in any form shall be broken off your life.
Ezekiel 37:10-14. There are many believers today in that state. What else? Everything is off.
– Every form of grave shall be shattered by the arm of the prophetic.
Now hear this, it will help you to receive what is going on. Who are prophets?
– Prophets are agents of liberation not of bondage. He sent Moses the prophet to bring out His people out of Egypt, the land of bondage and God did what He said. Hosea 12:13.
– Prophets are custodians of God’s agenda on the earth. Amos 3:7.
– Prophets are God’s watchmen to the Church and to the nations. Jeremiah 1:9-10.
Just as there are fake currencies in every nation of the world, there are also fake prophets. Many self-styled prophets, money collecting prophets. The fact that there are fake prophecies is proof that there are genuine ones. You can only fake something that is genuine. You can’t fake the fake. In the same vein, the fact that there are false prophets all around the world today is the validation that there are genuine prophets of God on the earth. How do I know which is genuine and which is fake? Deuteronomy 18:21-22. Then you may have genuine prophets and have a wrong disposition to them. Church Gist. Ezekiel 33:31-33. Lo it will come to pass. The ones who obey it will be the beneficiaries, the ones who scorn it will be the losers. Every genuine prophet speaks as God’s mouthpiece. What they say comes to pass. It may not come to pass in your life but it will come to pass in the lives of the people that choose to believe them. They stand to be misunderstood because they say things that are off sight. They don’t line up.
You say they have an eviction order in your church in Kaduna and you said God said “arise get down to Lagos”. Are you not running away? God didn’t tell him anything like that. He is just trying to run away from this problem. He said there is a prophetic release so people can come to Church. You just sit down on the wrong site and nothing good is happening. I spend hours upon hours in the night and in the day buying into the mind of God on what the year carries. Church Gist. I told my son I woke up about five times last night. I will just lay down on my bed and light will strike again, I will come back to my table. We are not just forming words. Now listen: this church will experience four-dimensional level of growth this year. There is no “go-come” about it. I don’t believe it. Did you believe that we will get to 84 new nations last year? Did you ever pray on it? That’s how irrelevant you and I are on God’s agenda. Those who care to follow benefit from it, those who despise it, they just lose out. So we sat down at home. What we saw in our foreign missions endeavours since 1995, we saw more than that in one year. We saw more than what we saw in 27 years in one year because God said so.
Every grave that must have held you down in a choking situation in every area of your life, I command them open today.
He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, receives a prophet’s reward. There is no game about it. You don’t receive it, you don’t get it 2 Chronicles 20:20.
– It is a new day for you
Prophets are agents of rescue.
– Today is declared your day of rescue.
Isaiah 42:22.
– God sent me to tell the forces holding you back, restore.
– He sent me to throw you this lifeline, get out of that pit wherein there is no water.
– Every siege of sickness and disease tormenting anyone under the sound of my voice is declared over today.
– Every agent of the devil that wants you dead, dies in your place.
Exodus 4:22-23.
– Whatever won’t let you go, God will kill.
– Whatever is sitting on your destiny, the destiny of your children, the destiny of your family are unseated today.
– Today is your day.
Fasting is ordained for the rescue of the oppressed. The rescue of those held down by the wicked.
– Therefore today, not tomorrow, whatever has been choking any area of your life is broken off you finally.
Jesus was in Nazareth and he could do no mighty works there. He is that prophet that came like Moses. He is the fulfilment of prophecies, yet he could not impact on them because of their unbelief.
