THE HOLY COMMUNION IS ONLY EATEN AT NIGHT NOT DURING THE DAY
IT IS NOT THE LORD’S BREAKFAST OR LUNCH. IT IS THE LORD’S SUPPER
IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE LEGACY LEFT BEHIND BY THE ONE WHOSE NAME IS CALLED WONDERFUL:
JESUS HAS TURNED SORROW TO JOY, SHAME TO GLORY BEFORE; HE CAN DO IT AGAIN!
JESUS HAS HEALED BEFORE IN A WONDERFUL MANNER. HE CAN STILL HEAL TODAY BY HIS STRIPES – THE PROVISION FOR OUR HEALINGS
THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST CLEANSES FROM ALL SINS NO MATTER HOW ANTI-CHRIST YOU MAY HAVE BEEN
THE LEGACY JESUS LEFT BEHIND IS HIS BLOOD AND FLESH
HIS FLESH TO TAKE CARE OF HEALINGS. HIS BLOOD TO TAKE CARE OF SALVATION AND BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

Let someone shout halleluyah!
1 Corinthians 11:23-26. When I was in the primary school in the 1950s, they used to teach us what they called, “Ancient History,” for those of us who are children. They talk of people like Hammurabi, (I’m sure they don’t teach you that kind of thing any more) Philippides, several ancient people who left a legacy behind. Church Gist. When they come nearer home and they talk about Moses, it will amaze you that they didn’t talk about Moses as a man who opened the Red Sea. They talked about Moses – the law giver because it is out of the 10 commandments that all the laws of the world had been fashioned. So they talk about Moses, the law giver.
When they talk about David they don’t even bother to mention the fact that he killed Goliath. They talked about him being the greatest King of Israel. Church Gist. But when they come to Jesus, they told us 3 things about Jesus: the saviour, the great physician and the baptizer in the Holy Spirit.
So when Jesus Christ said, “do this in remembrance of me,” he is telling you, “this is the legacy I am leaving behind; My blood and My flesh.” My blood to take care of salvation, my flesh to take care of healings and my blood to also take care of baptism in the Holy Spirit. Church Gist. The saviour, the great physician and the baptizer in the Holy Spirit.
Tonight, we want to remember the legacy left behind by the one whose name is called Wonderful. He is trying to remind us that he had performed wonders before through the breaking of bread. John 6:5-13. The feeding of 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes with 12 baskets left over is a wonder. He also wants to let us know that he had healed before in a wonderful manner. Church Gist. Mark 2:1-12. He wants to let us know that what he did then, he can still do today because he made a provision for our healings. 1 Peter 2:24. He wants us also to remember when we take the wine that the first miracle he ever performed was with the wine. John 2:1-11. The turning of water to wine is symbolic of saying he had turned sorrow to Joy before and he can do it again; that he has turned shame to glory before and he can do it again. That through the blood, he can grab somebody who is an anti-christ like Saul of Tarsus and turn him to a man who can claim, because of the power in the blood in 2 Corinthians 7:2, who could say, “I’ve never wronged any man.” The man who had been killing Christians, throwing them to prison, etc if he comes in contact with the blood of Jesus Christ, he can stand tall and say, “I have never harmed anybody.” Why? Because the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sins.
He wants us to know that when we drink the wine representing his blood, we are coming in contact with the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. I want us to know again and again that the meal at the Holy Communion is of deep spiritual implications – very deep spiritual mysteries. Moses was the law giver, David the greatest King of Israel, but Jesus is the saviour, the healer and the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. Church Gist. It is to his table you are invited tonight. On the surface, the bread looks ordinary. On the surface, the wine looks ordinary. But after they have been blessed, sanctified, after we approach the table with the deep understanding that we are approaching someone who said, “don’t you ever forget me,” things change.
The bread can begin to produce healing. The wine can cleanse from all sins and bring in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is why I keep on crying that it is not a meal you take casually. Church Gist. This is why I keep telling you that if you want to eat the Holy Communion, search the scriptures. It is only eaten at night not during the day. It’s not the Lord’s breakfast; it’s not the Lord’s lunch, it’s the Lord’s supper. That passage said, “The Lord Jesus, the VERY NIGHT in which he was betrayed took bread …”
Tonight we will come, we will take the bread, we will take the wine and we will reach out to more than 2,000 years ago and claim our healing. Church Gist. Claim our baptism in the Holy Spirit, claim the wonder of changing shame to glory, changing sorrow to joy and receiving the power to go ahead and do double portion work for the God of wonders himself. So as we start, or before we go to the table, in case there is anyone – you know you are not saved. You know it. But you want to be free from sin once and for all, the blood of Jesus is flowing.
