The same day you heard the Gospel several others heard it and never made any impression on them. What made it to make impression on you? Grace. How did it come true? Church Gist. Chosen before the foundation of the world, predestinated. Romans 8:29-30. Great predestination mystery, work of grace brought you and I into the kingdom.
– Lift your two hands and thank Him for the grace of election that brought you to salvation.
– Ask him to open your eyes to behold wondrous things out of his Word.
We are undertaking a series in our mid-week service for the month of April captioned, UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF FAITH. Mystery in my place is ijinlẹ – Gaining access to the depth of a thing. The Bible defines faith as a mystery. It is one of the vital mysteries of the Kingdom. Mark 4:11. Church Gist. Mysteries of the Kingdom are the secrets behind the stories. It is those secrets behind the stories of Scriptures that makes stars on the Earth. They make the face of a man to shine and the boldness of his countenance cannot be stopped. Accessing those secrets and engaging with them makes an overcomer in any area of life where such light is encountered. 1 Timothy 3:9. Faith is a mystery of the Kingdom.
For instance: through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God. It is as deep as that! Hebrews 11:2-3. It is always getting results – it is a mystery. The mystery behind this mystery is the fact that it taps into Heaven’s virtue to redefine human value. Church Gist. Luke 8:45-48. It’s not a belief system; far away from the realms of psychology. It is able to tap into virtue that raises the dead of 4 days. It never returns defeated from any battle. This is THE VICTORY that overcomes the world even our faith. 1 John 5:4. Understanding of that mystery is vital to fulfilling our glorious destiny in a wicked world.
I am in my core office this month – the global faith mandate to the world that thus generation will not forget forever. Faith is not all these big lectures people are giving. Faith is man’s access to the power of God that puts him on top any day any time on all issues and circumstances. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5. No Winner in the world should doubt the efficacy of faith. We are a faith born, faith raised, faith made community of believers. Church Gist. Remove faith from here and there is no more substance left. Faith is the substance of anything substantial in the Kingdom. Hebrews 11:1, 33-34. Faith that can keep you alive and smiling in the midst of a fiery furnace; is that not a mystery? When you put flesh inside fire it will fry and this one now refines and they came out with their cap, shoes and hair in place – they even turned it back. Daniel 3:21-23. A mystery behind unchallengeable triumph; limit breaking triumph. That’s the realm you’re entering into! So don’t sit down there, “you know we have a lot of faith teachings in our ministry. If you need it, I will just let you have it.” No, you show it; they will look for it. Show that faith works.
– From this month onward, everybody is jumping out of the grave of unbelief!
It is the most devastating grave. It keeps an innocent man down and permanently so if allowed.
– Everything stinking about every man will be turned to a shining testimony!
John 11:39-40. Nothing stinks with faith, everything breaks forth with Faith. Faith draws on the Word. It comes from the Word; from hearing and understanding the Word and God’s Word is God’s covenant with man which cannot be broken. Church Gist. Until the day and the night stops, God’s covenant is in force. Jeremiah 33:20. The Bible is God’s Old and New Covenant ratified into one through Jesus.
By way of introduction, no covenant of Scriptures has the devil in the equation for delivery. When you locate your place in a Covenant of Scriptures, you have thrown the devil out of your system. He has no say. Church Gist. Not, “I will do this if the devil allows” no, there’s no such statement in Scriptures. Jeremiah 33:20-21. When faith comes alive, the devil packs out. Ephesians 6:16. When light shows up, darkness backs out – any argument? So when faith shows up from the Word which shines in darkness and darkness cannot handle, darkness backs out.
Every challenge we will ever face, they are defined as the trial of our faith. It is your faith that is being challenged, let’s find out where you stand. 1 Peter 1:7. Every challenge of life is a trial of faith. When your faith comes alive, Jesus shows up. What has been written has been written. Jesus was on the Mount of Temptation, “it is written”. The second time “it is written” the third time “it is written”. The enemy disappeared. That is why whenever faith comes alive from the Word, not assumed faith. Word stirred faith. Church Gist. Whenever faith comes alive, victory supernaturally comes along. When we engage with the covenant of scriptures believing, delivery is guaranteed, the devil notwithstanding. Isaiah 14:24. “My covenant will I not break” no matter how many devils appear. Psalm 89:34. When we engage with any covenant of scriptures believing, delivery is guaranteed, the devil notwithstanding. These foundations are very important. Otherwise, all you will be doing is wishing. I wish that God would know my situation. As long as our obedience of faith is in place regarding any covenant of scriptures, the devil is completely out of the equation. As long as our obedience of faith, not dormant faith. Obedience of faith is in place regarding any covenant of scriptures, the devil is completely out of the equation. Deuteronomy 28:1. No matter how many devils are in your town. The just shall live by his faith, if he turns back he is the one that has a problem. God has no problem.
What is faith? Faith can be defined as the most potent force in the whole universe. If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believe Mark 9:23. That is taking off the realm of humanity to the realm of divinity. Mark 10:27. Church Gist. Can you blame Nebuchadnezzar for worshipping Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego? Has he ever seen anybody come out of the fire before? They came out shining. Nebuchadnezzar prostrated. Anybody who says anything against the God of Shedrack, Meshack and Abednego will be burned in the fire on the spot. The same way Satan and demons were pleading for Jesus to spare them, that is how they will be pleading before you.
It is faith that makes the believer a living wonder. What manner of man is this, even the seas and the wind obey him. How? By the operation of faith. Why are you so fearful, oh ye of little faith? So it is not just casual faith, it is strong faith. Building strength to your faith, not ‘jeko jeko’ faith that people are carrying about – “I believe, I confess, I possess”. Go and steal it. Strong faith, word practising faith, Word engaging faith. Instruction complying faith. Not wishful faith. “This is the place” and it didn’t look like it by any means. God said it, I believe it, that settles it. He came to this wilderness of emptiness and turned a city out of it. Acting faith, not God said this is it and you are “Father God, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, am I to go? Won’t they think I am mad. Won’t they think I am acting like this? Am I educated? If I now begin to do this, what will my peers say?”. That is yeye faith. “This is the place” Thank you Jesus. Church Gist. I told them right there God just spoke to me and said this is the place. Not all these flamboyant psychedelic people are carrying about.
Until you and I do what God says to do, He won’t do what you want Him to do because the scriptures can not be broken. God is bound by His Word. If you are not a tither and Papa prays for you, though Papa is a technocrat in tithing and you come near this Youth Chapel altar and I lay my prosperity leg on you in the name of Jesus, start working in prosperity. All the angels will be laughing, Papa will break scripture by what? The calling I gave him so he will break my Word. Active faith! Church Gist. Some are givers but they are also grumblers, so they destroy their seed by grumbling. It is putting the Word to work deliberately, intentionally and consciously. Some people are tired of hearing these teachings because they didn’t do the last one. So what will the extra one do for them? You better wake up. We are talking about religious faith. The faith that works which we are dealing with on Sundays.
Now hear this: faith is what differentiates between the winning and losing believer for it is to everyone according to his faith. Between the healthy and the sickly believer for it is to everyone according to his faith. Between the prosperous and the impoverished believer for it is to everyone according to his faith. Church Gist. Mark 9:29. Every great story in the Kingdom is by grace through faith. This includes salvation, healing, deliverance, breakthroughs, they are all by grace which has appeared to all men so it is not that somebody has more grace than another. All believers are beneficiaries of his lavish grace but is deliverable by faith. Ephesians 2:8. Every outstanding event in a man’s life in the Kingdom is by grace, is available to all through the faith of the individuals which is determined by the individuals. Church Gist. Luke 8:48. Revelation 5:12. He has obtained power for everyone but power has its demands. Isaiah 63:1-2. So it demands a thirst of the soul and a longing of the flesh which is fasting to step into realms of power. He has obtained that for us but people engage their active faith to take their portion.
What makes faith a mystery?
1. Faith secures the hand of God at will. When faith comes alive on any subject matter as drawn from Scriptures not assumptions, or Scripturally stirred testimonies, it provokes the automatic hand of God upon that individual dealing with that situation. Church Gist. Isaiah 53:1. You believe, he stretches forth his hand to perform.
“Your blood pressure is high.” Not me! “Check it” – not necessary. Went to bed, woke up, dreaming of the crusade coming, that was the end. Blood pressure said “he has no time for me.” Church Gist. 1 Kings 8:15. Every prophetic Scripture requires the hand of God for fulfilment and till faith comes alive, you can’t secure the hand of God. Faith will bring the hand of God to bear any day any time.
2. It quenches all the fiery darts of the enemy no matter where it is coming from. Church Gist. When faith is in place – back to sender all the time, every where.
3. Faith provokes divine intervention whenever required. Matthew 9:28. You provoke divine intervention whenever required through the instrumentality of faith. Church Gist. Bible born faith, word stirred faith, active faith, instruction compliance faith, Word roasted faith.
The “NOW” mystery of faith:
Faith is a NOW force not a past tense force not a future force. Church Gist. Hebrews 11:1. Faith is a NOW force that triggers good report.
Abraham for instance exhibited the now faith all through his walk with God. God said, move. He moved. Genesis 12:1. Faith is a mover. Anything you claim to believe that does not move you is fake. Church Gist. Genesis 11:7. “Operation Hit your Target” and you’re sleeping? You don’t believe in it. “I don’t believe it. This is Papa’s theory.” You believe it, you move.
That same day I said, “hello folks, can you get a 100 acres of land here? Go ahead and get it.” They said, we got it. “Now get 200, 300, 400…same day.” “This is the place” – contrary to my imagination, small thinking, contrary to everything I’ve read before on Church growth, this is an anti-church growth location. Church Gist. But God said it and whatever he says wins. When you choose to believe. Not just, “okay, he has said it; if he will kill us let him kill us.”
Paul was also a man of the now faith. In the midst of the storm he said, “for I believe God that it shall be even as he has told me.” Church Gist. Not, “I believed” but “I believe now” Acts 27:25.
– Nobody here will be lost!
It is the now faith that guarantees maximum delivery in the school of faith. John 5:1-4, Mark 11:24. Past tense faith never counts. Church Gist. Future faith is impotent. “I know He will raise him up on the latter day”. What are you saying? Me that will raise you on the latter day, I am here.
– The good news is whatever has been harassing you before, your now faith will turn it into an open testimony.
Will God be any more powerful tomorrow than He is today? So what you desire from Him tomorrow, He has the capacity to do it today. Will He be any more faithful than He is today? So take it now. Church Gist. You are taking your healing now. Your deliverance. Your fear is flying off now. Your apprehension is going off now.
Why the now faith? God is the eternal I am that I am. He never changes. Exodus 3:14. He will not be any more powerful tomorrow than He is today so why not take it? He will not be any more faithful tomorrow than He is today. The healing power is available now. This is because faith is a weapon of instant intervention. Faith is a now mystery, not a yesterday or tomorrow thing. Whenever one’s faith comes alive for salvation, he gets saved the same day. Have you ever imagined somebody repents and Jesus says “I have saved enough people today, you wait till tomorrow. The line is very long”. The day you believe is the day you are saved. So the same day you believe your healing heritage as drawn from the Word, the same day you are healed. Church Gist. ‘I know God will do it’ that is hope. Hope can be deferred. There is no end to tomorrow. Tomorrow is coming after today, after tomorrow another tomorrow and on and on. There is a tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow until life ends. Behold now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation”. That is how faith does.
When one’s faith comes alive for healing, one gets healed the same day. All the healings of Jesus were on the same day. Man has kept his bed for 8 years, same day. He has waited for doctors and has not gotten better, the same day. Church Gist. He had never seen, he was born blind – the same day. So what else? In the precious name of Jesus, everything that is fighting your faith from having full expression goes down tonight. The man that came down through the roof, people exclaimed “We have never seen it in this fashion”. Things that the world has never seen will start happening in your life from now. What happened? Jesus saw their faith. Mark 2:5. They carried him in, he carried his bed out. It is your turn.
As I close, talking about the Word because John 1 is a celebration of the Word of God. John 1:12. If you receive the Word believing, you are empowered to manifest as a son of God not a sympathizer of God. You find me saying “I will show you the son of whom I am” I am not talking about my old man. He has gone to heaven. I am talking about my heavenly father who never dies. I will show you now the son of who I am. When I say that all the devils in hell, they jitter. Church Gist. You receive the Word believing and you are empowered to manifest as a son of God.
– your days of struggling are over.
– your days of ups and downs are over.
– Your days of sleeplessness are over
– Your days of uncertainties are over.
As powerful as faith is, it is the exclusive reserve of the children of God. 1 John 1:5. He is born of God then faith becomes an effectual weapon in his hand. A dead man can’t hold a weapon, he doesn’t know what you are calling a weapon. He doesn’t know anything. When he comes alive, then a weapon becomes relevant to him. Do you know what is happening to us in the church? We are growing from childhood to adulthood. Don’t come to me when you have a problem. You should know enough so that others can come to you to deal with their cases. 1 Peter 2:2. It is strong meat that engenders strong faith. You take strong Word to build strong faith. Church Gist. The good news is that you are born again, you are a chartered overcomer. So for anything to overcome you now, it is illegal, it is not correct, it is biblical. It is not unspiritual to be challenged but it is anti-covenant to be defeated. You have what it takes to be more than a conqueror. From this month on as the Lord lives, every devil that used to look at you and wonder if you are a child of God, they will regret and turn their back.
– may the encounter tonight keep decorating your destiny.
Do you know what is happening this month? God is taking you into the realm that this Commission operates. You shall be a living wonder to your world.
– The world will come and learn how you are going forward.
– Your rewards and manifestation will be in the open.
Be reminded that this is Easter week. We are having our Easter Service on Sunday, it is always a service of diverse manifestations. Church Gist. You all met me here so I can tell you what it is. It is not an ordinary service, every Easter Sunday is an eruptive and explosive service that always comes along with undeniable proofs.
– May you be a partaker of the one for this year.
The Youth Alive Convention kicks off tomorrow. I want to admonish all youths, this is the most fertile season of your life. Church Gist. If you don’t have good seeds sown at this time, it may grow weeds. So open up to what God has to say in the event. So endeavour to be a part of it, all the youths in this commission.
Something must come out of this for you. Anything from God that does not move you, you have not believed it. When you truly believe anything He says, it moves you in that direction. Some are singing triumph songs every day, others are bemoaning their situation every day under the same umbrella. The difference is faith. You believe what He says, you act on it, He manifests Himself to you. In the precious name of Jesus, you will never lack his manifestations in your life anymore. You heard heavy teachings on financial fortune this last month, what you do with it will determine whether it is fortune for you or the other way round. Church Gist. It is not about who taught it, it is not about who said it, it is about you lining up with what God says. In the precious name of Jesus, may the faith that will come alive in you this month secure your future, your posterity and your eternity. The good news is that the faith at work in this commission will be fully imparted to you as you open up your heart to receive His Word.
That my daughter who shared her testimony last Sunday said when her husband was challenged, she said “Let his service speak for him”. Did it speak for him or not? Did you find him on the altar? Church Gist. That is how you will come to the limelight. Whatever the devil thought is finished, God will put an end to it in your life.
