THE devil IS A LIAR, HE BEHAVES LIKE HE HAS MORE POWER THAN HE ACTUALLY HAS
EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A CONFRONTATION WITH A devil, DON’T LET THAT devil HAVE A FINAL SAY

I welcome you all in the Precious name of Jesus to this impartation service, I believe that God shall speak to us and our lives will never be the same.
Jude 1:3. The Lord bless His Word in Jesus’ name. This morning, I want to speak very quickly on the subject, “The Value of Faith”. Church Gist. Our objective this morning is understanding the necessity and the value of Faith in the life of the saint and the child of God. In discussing this, there are 3 general things that I would like you to understand.
1. In life, value and purpose define pursuit. Nothing is pursued until its value is perceived. Church Gist. To pursue and lay hold of Faith, the value of Faith must be perceived.
2. Faith is so critical to the life of the child of God that it is the subject of enemy attack and contention. 1 Timothy 6:12. Church Gist. So, Faith will be fought. The enemy will try to shake your belief, he will try to shake your confidence and bring you to a point where you don’t know what to believe but that devil is a liar. So, you must understand that and it is because of the importance of your Faith that the devil fights it. Jude 1:3. Church Gist. So, Faith will attract contention because the devil knows that if he cannot get your Faith, there are many things he cannot get.
3. Bible feat is the product of Bible Faith. If you want to experience that kind of feat people in the Bible experienced, you must release the kind of Faith people in the Bible released. Church Gist. If we are to get Bible results, we must embrace Bible beliefs. If we must experience Biblical outcome, we must express Biblical input. If we must see the results of yesteryears, especially Scriptural results, we must release the belief of the people of yesteryears. Church Gist. That is why Faith is valuable.
Now, what is the value of our Faith? Why is our Faith necessary?
1. Faith is key to life, “because the Just shall live by his Faith” – Habakkuk 2:4. Romans 1:17. Galatians 3:11. Hebrews 10:38. Church Gist. Before the devil will attack your life, he wants to attack your Faith, because your life is hanging on your Faith. The quality and durability of life are anchored on Faith. If you’re going to have a life that is qualitative, that is not substandard and mediocre spiritually, it is going to take your Faith. Church Gist. Living or dying young may be a function of Faith, other factors being intact.
I heard the story of a young man who went into the refrigerator in the laboratory, opened it and saw a colourless liquid and thought it was water and he drank it before he knew it was a concentrated acid. Church Gist. And somebody said, “you just drank acid”, he said, “no, it cannot be acid. I just drank water”. Now, he had to speak, fight and contend if he was going to live because that was death staring him in the face like suicide mission and of course he must be acting on the Scripture that says, “you will drink deadly things and it shall not hurt you” and it turned into water in his body. Church Gist. The Just shall live by his Faith. We have people in this Church who in the face of imminent death or disaster, said to themselves and declared, “No. I cannot die like chicken. My Pastor said so, I heard the Word, “there shall be no loss”. I can’t die like chicken” and death was escaped.
Why does the devil fight your Faith? So he can access your life. Why does the devil want to shake your Faith? So he can shake your life.
– I am here to announce to somebody, in the name that is above every name, Jesus, the resurrected Lord, you shall fulfill your days!
2. Faith is key to inheritance. What belongs to you in God can become yours through Faith. Hebrews 6:12. Matthew 9:29. Church Gist. What belongs to you in God is receivable by the force and instrumentality of Faith. There are two reasons why Faith is necessary;
2a. Faith is needed to know that there is something belonging to you in God. You need Faith to understand that there is an inheritance in the hands of God for you. Church Gist. You need a Faith belief to know that there’s a plan, there’s something God has for you, spiritually – mantles, graces. Deuteronomy 29:29. Hebrews 11:6.
2a. Faith is needed to ward off all the forces of hell that try to contend with your inheritance, all the forces of hell that try to deprive you of what God has released to you; all the forces of your father’s house; all the ancestral and generational forces; the witchcraft and occultic forces that say you should not touch what is yours. Church Gist. Deuteronomy 2:24. There’s something that is yours that the enemy is trying to keep away from you, there’s something that is yours that some forces of hell are trying to prevent you from accessing. You contend.
One man saw a revelation, God took him into a field and in that field, he saw some demons hovering over some things in that field. Church Gist. While he was watching, suddenly, an Angel came from heaven and then did his hand (as in a way to chase the demons) twice or thrice or four times and those demons scattered, and right in that field, he saw a heap of clothes and he said he went towards the clothes and picked one, and he wore it and it was exactly his size. Church Gist. He said to the Angel, “what has happened? What is it?” The Angel said, “these are Ancient mantles that people in time old walked in that the forces of hell are not allowing anybody to walk in today, they’re guarding it” and the one that the man picked, the Angel said, “the one you’re wearing now, the last person that wore it was in the 14th century”. Church Gist. It was a Prophetic healing mantle. Why do you need? Because there are things belonging to you that some demons are guarding, there are things belonging to you that some forces of hell are preventing you from accessing. Church Gist. Your life is meant to be bigger than what it is now but they don’t want you to touch it.
– I am here this morning, by the mantle of God and I say, whatever belongs to you or your father’s house or belongs to your lineage that the devil is preventing you from accessing, I prophesy, you’re stepping into it today!
One man said to me yesterday, he came to my office about two years ago and when he came, on his way out, I embraced him and he went. Church Gist. As he was going, some people saw him and said, “the man embraced you and you didn’t fall? Something must be wrong with you”. They were mocking him. He said he got home, as he laid on the bed, he saw a dwarf laying beside him, physical, not dream. He opened his eyes, said, “what am I seeing?” As he spoke, the dwarf jumped and landed on the floor and was still standing and watching him, dwarf demon with big beard
– may you never see such a nightmare.
He said, as he began to command that dwarf and speak with the authority of the impartation he just received, the thing melted and disappeared into dust. So, he went to the village and told his father, “this is what I saw. What is the problem?” Church Gist. The father said, in their village, their highest achievement is to able to own a palm wine tapper’s rope. In their lineage, that limitation is such that the only thing you would be able to have that rope they use in climbing palm tree, that is their highest level. He said, “God forbid” and he fought that battle. As at today, he has a project that is going in millions in dollars. Church Gist. He had never been able to do anything with his life until that day. The next time I saw him, I couldn’t recognize him, his size was almost double his size.
– I announce to somebody here today, everything that has been a limitation on your life, everything that is yours that the devil said you should not access, whether they are spiritual mantles or graces or dimensions in operation or dimensions of resources, I declare, the embargo is lifted right now! The yoke is broken!
– look at your neighbour, say, “you shall touch what they said you cannot touch.
– what they say people from your family cannot touch, you will be the first person to touch it!
– where they said nobody in your father’s house will reach, you will be the first person to reach there!
– you believe it, shout the loudest Amen.
3. Faith is the currency of the supernatural. Hebrews 11:1-2. Faith is the currency with which supernatural results are obtained. Church Gist. Faith is the currency you use to purchase supernatural results and reports. Faith carries purchasing power in the realm of the Spirit. In the physical, you purchase with money; in the spiritual, you obtain with Faith. If there’s anything God has to release, it takes Faith to receive. If God has it to release, it requires Faith to receive. Church Gist. That is why, when you run out of Faith, you run out of the Supernatural. It’s like running out of cash. Hebrews 32-34.
– say after me, “if I run out of Faith, I may run out of results. So, in order to maintain my results, I will maintain my Faith”.
– I announce to someone here today, you shall not run out of results.
4. Faith is key to life’s outcome and possibilities. Matthew 9:29. Mark 9:23. Listen to this, life’s outcome is anchored on Faith. Your outcome, whatever becomes of you at the end of the day, spiritually especially is determined by your Faith. Matthew 9:29. Church Gist. It is not unto you according to your family background, it is unto you according to your Faith. Your family background is not permitted to be the determinant of your life’s outcome. What your father was able to achieve or was not able to achieve, what sacrifices or demonic things they did in your family or your village is not permitted to be the determinant of your life’s outcoming. “According to your Faith, let it be”. Church Gist. It is not unto you according to the state of your nation, no. It is unto you according to your Faith. How many of you know that there are good people in every nation and there are human demons in every nation, even though there are some nations where they are more plenty. Church Gist. How many of you know that there are rich people in every country and there are poor people in every country? How many of you know that in your village, there are money lenders? How many of you know that no matter how bad the land is, there is good in the land? Otherwise we won’t see any American or British or anybody here in this country. Church Gist. If you go to Port-Harcourt, Warri and every part of this country, they are there plenty because you can’t drive ant from honey. The prospect in the land is heavier than the danger in the land. There are people running out of Nigeria because of the state of the nation. Well, we are so sorry about the state of the nation but we trust that God will correct it soon, but the truth of the matter is, if anybody is a lizard from here, he doesn’t become a crocodile because he went to Canada. An antelope here does not become an elephant. Church Gist. Sometime ago, we were in London with my wife, a pure white man came there with plate in hand, looking for us to give him money. He was a beggar in his country, with his country and was begging us that came from a dark continent. Church Gist. We decided to buy food for him, he refused, which means he wanted to use the money for something else, either for alcohol or drugs or something.
It is not unto you according to the state of the nation, it is unto you according to your Faith.
– I announce today, the state of this nation notwithstanding, God shall cause your destiny to be fulfilled!
– I announce today in the name of Jesus, God shall rescue our nation for the sake of the saints!
Finally, it’s not unto you according to the powerfulness of the devil because it was not for only you that the devil was manufactured. Church Gist. It is not unto you according to the wickedness of the devil. “The devil is so wicked, see how my life is”, no way. The devil is universally bad. When I see people commit the kind of crimes that they commit and it was the devil who anointed them and you think that that devil was once in Heaven, it beats the imagination. Church Gist. I just got to discover that while he was with God, he was the sun of the morning, when he stepped out of the presence of God, the first thing that manifested was pride but as he remained outside of God’s presence and totally disconnected from life and light and anything holy, the worst came out of him. Church Gist. Murderous killer, waster of life – steal, kill, destroy and be laughing. Don’t go far from God, otherwise, your worst comes out.
No matter how wicked the devil is, in the face of Faith, he is helpless. He is hating you but he’s helpless because he can do nothing about his hatred. Church Gist. Some of us are so hated by the devil, why? Because you’re out destroying his work. Every village you come for crusade, some witches have to be buried, altars are set on fire, some people’s power disappear, they have to rebuild what they have been building for years. Snatch people out of the covens of witchcraft, destroy the agendas of hell. “You’re an enemy, what can we do?”, and then they are just standing helpless. You pass through the midst of them and go your way, they hate you, they can’t hurt you or harm you. Church Gist. That is why you need your Faith to come alive and be in place so that your life is not functioning according to the will and wish of the devil.
Many times, God reveals to us the plan of the devil, and He reveals to reverse them, “if not for me, this is what the devil would have done”. If not for God, many of us, the last journey you made, you were not made to return back safe by all the things the devil planned. Church Gist. There are some who slept, they were not meant to wake up, you see some missing road in the darkness in the dream, they wake up and they came back to their body. That devil is a bastard! It’s unto you not according to what the devil wants or how terrible the devil is, it is unto you according to your Faith. Church Gist. Your Faith gives you the choice in life. Your Faith gives you the power of choice in the affairs of life.
– I announce today, in the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ the resurrected Lord, you shall fulfill your destiny!
I told you the story some years back, we were approaching an International Ministers Flaming Fire Conference, the same month, I saw a green eyed devil in the revelation of the night, telling himself and gave himself a timeline, not me, he gave himself a timeline with which himself, not me, was to end. Green-eyed demon. Church Gist. I looked at that devil and I woke up. The way Smith Wigglesworth saw the devil in his living room sitting on his rocking chair, and he came out and looked and said, “devil, are you the one?” He hissed, “I thought it was something more serious” and left that devil there and went and slept. He left the devil sitting in his living room and went and slept. He didn’t even say, “get out of here”. Level dey o. That is, “if you’re devil, follow me to the bedroom. I will sleep on top of you”. Church Gist. I’m sure that devil has not recovered from crying, he has never seen a human being humiliate it like that. Humiliate it, yeyerized and pauperized it. Papa Oyedepo said that many years ago, it changed his own heart. Church Gist. It did the same to me. So, when I woke up in the morning, I said, “devil, for your information, I won’t pray about this one and I won’t tell my wife. Me and you should wait”. I think that notice was many months ahead. I didn’t tell her, because, number 1, for what? Number 2, she may be afraid because we are all human beings. She has Faith as well but there was no need. When the date came and passed very well, then I said to her, “see what the devil told himself”. This was many years ago. That was why I said, it’s not unto you according to the devil, as for the devil is thoroughly, perennially, institutionally wicked, unrepentant and incurable wicked. It’s not unto you according to how wicked the devil is. Church Gist. Some of you say the witch gave you deadline, between you and the witch, who should themselves deadline? You are the one to tell the witch how many hours you gave him.
The devil is a liar, he behaves like he has more power than he actually has. Anybody who can lie can exaggerate, he exaggerates his power. Church Gist. When I ministered in the village the other day, I saw our usher, 21 years ago, when a witch told him in their office after they had an altercation, that witch, a cleaner in the officer was like a boss in the office, that witch, if she spoke, their overall boss will quake, cleaner in the office, everybody feared her. She had an argument with this brother and she said, “do you know who you’re talking to at all? Let’s see”. Church Gist. The brother said he shook when he heard the voice of that witch and you know the reason why voices of those witches shake people is they carry demonic power. The brother shook a bit, then returned back and said, “do you know who you’re talking to? This earth will reject you” and he turned. Next day, the woman came on her knees, begging, “please, forgive me, I’m sorry”. The brother said, “I will forgive you but what did you do? What happened?” Church Gist. She said she saw a dream overnight where somebody presented 2 coffins and said, “the two of them belong to you. Until you apologize to that man, you’re dead and waiting to be buried”. I said, it’s not unto you according to the wickedness of the witch, it’s unto you according to your Faith. Church Gist. If that brother shook and went back home, maybe in the night he would have had a dream of somebody with a knife pursuing and maybe stabbed him somewhere, he wakes up holding his chest and at that time, it may take prayer to recover but he dealt with that devil at the spot because it’s unto you according to your Faith. Every time you have a confrontation with a devil, don’t let that devil have a final say. Church Gist. If the devil or the devil’s agent had said something and you’re going with what they said and you remember that they shouldn’t have the final say, return back and release the final say.
Somebody gave alms to a roadside beggar, the Holy Spirit said, “he’s not a beggar. That money you gave him, he’s going to use it against you”. Church Gist. He had driven forward, he returned back to his car, stopped and said, “bring the money I gave you just now”, he located it and picked his money.
– help me tell 3 people around you, “it’s in you according to your Faith, not according to the powerfulness and wickedness of the devil, not according to the conclusion of hell. It’s unto you according to your Faith”.
5. Faith is key to joy. People of Faith are excited people, exciting and excitable. 1 Peter 1:8. Belief fuels joy. Romans 5:2. Church Gist. What is that? There are people that are not excited, they are not happy; they are not exciting, you don’t want to hang around them, they are not interesting; the worst is they’re not excitable, you want to make them happy, they are not happy-able. It’s like pouring water on top of rock, it won’t soak it. At the root of that is some depression, bitterness, unforgiveness, fear, anxiety, worry and uncertainty about the future. Church Gist. That’s the root of it. The man Smith Wigglesworth said he was always moving with smiles and Bible in hand. People who believe in a better future than the present, that’s what Faith makes you. Faith makes you to see the invisible, so you dare the undare-able and do the impossible and believe the incredible. Church Gist. You’re excited, exciting and excitable. Faith makes you to see the invisible, to dare the undare-able, believe the incredible and end up doing the impossible. So, you’re smiling, making people around you to laugh, laughing yourself and just generally lively and excited.
My wife, children and those who are close to me are always in a permanent laughing mode. Church Gist. There are those who would be holding their tummy for cracking of ribs, physically. There are times I have to pity them and relax a bit so they can catch their breath. That’s how life should be. You believe that the devil is not in control, you believe that no matter how bad it is, God will win. You believe that the devil will never have the final say, you believe that your life will not end in defeat. Church Gist. You believe that you cannot live without succeeding and that you cannot die a failure.
– say after me, “I cannot live without succeeding and that I cannot die a failure. So, it is either I succeed or I succeed”.
– say after me, “I have life and I have hope. Darkness can never defeat light. I belong to light, I am not afraid of darkness!”
– I will like you to celebrate because, this year you shall celebrate your wedding, your marriage, your fruit of the womb, your children, you shall celebrate that fresh grace and fresh mantle that you’re trusting God for. Church Gist. You shall celebrate massive financial resources that you’re going to use for the sake of the Gospel. You shall celebrate the goodness of God in the land of the living. You shall celebrate your reestablishment in God.
– shout the loudest Amen!
Romans 8:28. No matter how hard the devil tries, all things work together for the good of them that love God. Church Gist. In the Church, in His body, in our Nation, all things are working together. Romans 8:29-30. So, you have been called to be glorified, not shamified. It’s a call unto glory, not a call unto shame, reproach and disgrace. The journey of Faith says, “if the devil could not prevent Him from saving me, the devil has not prevented Him from glorifying me. The only way the devil could stop my glory is if he stopped my salvation and my justification”. Church Gist. So, why are you rejoicing? You are rejoicing because of a glory that potentially is yours but is actively about to revealed, that you will step into. So, you’re not rejoicing necessarily because of where you are now but because of where no devil can stop you from entering, where no ancestral and generational curse, where no witchcraft power can stop you from entering.
Let me tell you, I don’t care what happened to other people in your family, you case is different! I don’t care what is the story of the people in your community, your case is different because you’re not the people in your community. Church Gist. How my father lived and how he ended cannot be my life for many reasons; one among them is because I know what he didn’t know. I have Light and Scripture and Church, the dimension that he didn’t know. People in my village and community, there are things that I know now that they don’t know. Church Gist. Even I have the same mother and father with you and you don’t know what I know and you’re not doing what I’m doing with God, me and you, we are different, we are only passengers that came with the same bus. The fact that we entered the same bus does not mean that our life would be the same. Church Gist. Don’t use anybody’s experience to decide what your experience should be, use the Word of God to decide what your life’s experience should be.
My counsel is; do all you can. You know, I believe Abraham had every right to be depressed, at the age of 99, he didn’t have a child, yet there was a promise but in Romans 4:20, because of Faith in the heart of Abraham, the Bible said, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in Faith” and that strength of Faith made him to be praising God despite the fact that he was still waiting. Church Gist. How can you be praising God when the promise God made to you has not yet manifested, it’s called Faith. “How can you be praising God when time is going? Your age mates gave birth to children at 40 or 30something, Abraham, you’re almost a 100 now”. “Calm down. No devil can stop it and when I give birth to my own child, you will hear his name”. Church Gist. Is there anybody who is not hearing about Isaac? Most of those women in the Bible who were delayed from giving birth, they didn’t give birth to any normal child. Isaac, or is it Jacob? Is it Samuel? Is it Sampson? Is it John the Baptist?
My counsel is, give the building of your Faith all the efforts you have got. Do all you can to build your Faith. Church Gist. Meaning is, do everything you can to keep your Faith healthy and alive. I believe it is a new day for somebody.
– before 24 hours, there is somebody standing here, the Word you heard just now will produce for you a result.
