Father, we give you the Praise, the Honour and the Adoration. Blessed be your name, Honour to your name, adoration to your name. Church Gist. Thank you for a service like this. Thank you for lives touched, destinies changed. Thank you for the privilege of fellowship. We worship you in Jesus’ precious name.
Genesis 24:1. Matthew 6:33. All things answer to the knowledge of God. I am speaking on the subject, “The Blessing of Knowing God”. Church Gist. Our objective this morning:
1. To understand the supremacy of knowing God.
2. Understanding the benefits of knowing God.
3. Understanding the way to the knowledge of God.
By way of introduction, Scripture makes three things clear. Church Gist. It makes clear that Light or Knowledge would produce three basic results.
1. Light (Knowledge) is the secret of action. “Arise, Shine”.
2. Light (knowledge) is the secret of distinction.
3. Light (knowledge) is the secret of glorification.
Knowledge generally would make people rise, shine and step into the realm of glory. But listen to this, there are many kinds of knowledge. Church Gist. What are the kinds of knowledge? You might have
I. intellectual knowledge
II. Scientific knowledge
III. Financial knowledge. There are people who know how to make money but they didn’t go to school, that’s financial knowledge.
IV. Artistic knowledge. He knows how to dance, sing and paint. He may not go to school.
V. Combat knowledge. He knows how to fight. He may not have gone to school.
VI. Religious knowledge. He’s religious, not necessarily that he knows God.
VII. Occultic knowledge. People who have knowledge of the dark world and kingdom.
But the highest form of knowledge is
VIII. Divine Knowledge. The knowledge of God. It beats all of these.
There are few things I want to let you know about the knowledge of God.
1. It doesn’t matter what or who you don’t know. If you know God, you know so much. Church Gist. It doesn’t matter who or what you know, if you don’t know God, you don’t know anything.
2. The one who knows God is at a higher level of living than the one who only knows people. Church Gist. There are those who boast in the knowledge of people, “I know the president, the governor, this and that” but when you know God, you’re a higher level of knowledge.
3. The struggle to genuinely know God is the end of every other struggle of life. Matthew 6:33.
– I prophesy and announce to somebody here today, you’re at the end of your struggles of life in the name of Jesus!
4. The knowledge of God is inexhaustible. The more we know Him, the more we realize how much we don’t know Him. Church Gist. Scripture said, “His knowledge is beyond comprehension”. What does that do for you? The more you know Him, the more you realize how much that you don’t know Him. So, it imparts humility and a desperate continuous hunger for God. Church Gist. You’re hungry and permanently desperate for God because you don’t know Him.
Listen to this, the man who is proud of his knowledge of God does not really know God. Church Gist. Anytime you see anybody who is proud of his knowledge of God, that person does not really know God.
5. The knowledge of God is in degrees, we all don’t know God to the same degree.
6. The degree of God we know determines the degree of His glory we reflect. Church Gist. We all don’t know God at the same level, so we don’t reflect His glory at the same level.
7. The knowledge of God may initially bring you rejection from men but it will eventually bring you distinction from God. Church Gist. Human beings may hate you because they think you’re too spiritual but eventually it will cause you to stand out in your generation. It happened to Joseph.
Listen to this, those who know God are known by God and cannot be unknown on the earth.
– today, I prophesy to someone here, every trace of hatred you’re experiencing because of your knowledge of God, I declare it is arrested right now!
Question I’m going to ask and answer very quickly is, what are the benefits of the knowledge of God? Church Gist. What are the dividends of the knowledge of God? Daniel 11:32.
1. Supernatural strength. When you know God, you’re supernaturally strengthened to handle the devil. Supernatural and unbeatable strength. Church Gist. Strength that makes it impossible for you to be beaten in battle; makes it impossible for you to be a victim of the devil; makes it impossible for you to turn back from any battle.
– Supernatural strength, I declare that that shall be somebody’s portion in Jesus’ name.
2. Existence in exploits. Daniel 11:32. That is, your life and results command attention. You’re not the one that is being exploited, you live in the realm of exploits. You do record-breaking and record-setting things. Church Gist. This place we are seated here is a record-breaking and record-setting thing. You live in the realm of results that command generational attention.
– I believe somebody here is stepping into that realm.
3. Existence in Revival. Hosea 6:3. When we know the Lord, He comes to us as the rain. Church Gist. Your life is irrigated, saturated and overwhelmed with the rain of revival and refreshing. You move about as a mobile revival.
4. Existence in fulfilment. Jeremiah 9:23-24. “Don’t beat your chest because you have PhD, don’t beat your chest because of what you know, don’t beat your chest because of your power or your money, if you ever have to beat your chest, beat your chest because you know Me”. Church Gist. The meaning of that is, the knowledge would give you what money, power, education and your wisdom cannot give you.
– I announce to somebody here, what your education, connection and your physical ability cannot give you is about to be released to you by the knowledge of God!
🎵🎶 I am satisfied with Jesus. I am satisfied with Him. My Faith in Him shall never fail. I am satisfied in Jesus🎶🎵
– look at your neighbour, say, “don’t boast about your money; don’t boast about your education, don’t boast about your power and connection, glory in your knowledge of God”.
5. Supernatural Power. Philippians 3:10. What is the difference between supernatural strength and supernatural power? Church Gist. Supernatural strength is the spiritual stamina to make you face and finish the devil. Supernatural power is the capacity to walk in the miraculous and the extraordinary, where things that cannot be explained happen around your life. Where things that are not medically or scientifically explained become your results. Church Gist. Supernatural strength means witches came against you and you killed them, the devil came against you, you collapsed him. That is, you’re equal to every task. But power means that results are happening, manifestations are happening that are not explainable.
– I see somebody step into the realm of the supernatural and miraculous. I see somebody begin to see results that nobody can explain around your life.
6. Divine preservation. The knowledge of God causes you to be preserved. Psalm 91:14. Church Gist. God delivers people who know His name. Rescue from danger, disaster, protection against evil is a benefit of the knowledge of God.
7. Multiplied grace. 2 Peter 1:2. The knowledge of God multiplies grace. You become a candidate for diversities of graces, giftings and manifestations. Church Gist. You can’t even be classified. Like David, you can’t say whether he’s a Psalmist or an instrumentalist or a singer or a king or a Priest or a Prophet. Anything you wanted David to be, he could be. Diversities of grace. Paul the Apostle was like that. He was the one who said, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection”. Church Gist. Paul was a teacher, a Pastor, an Evangelist, an Apostle, a Prophet. He moved in the word of knowledge, wisdom and discerning of spirit. All the gifts of the spirit, Paul the Apostle was literally everywhere. The knowledge of God makes you multifaceted. Church Gist. It brings you to a point where in almost everything, God gives the expression of Himself through you in diverse ways.
– I prophesy to somebody here, the Knowledge of God is going to bring out dimensions of your life that you’re not yet aware of.
8. Multiplied peace. 2 Peter 1:2. There are two mentions of peace. Number one dimension of peace is freedom from anxiety, crises, tension and conflicts. The second dimension of peace is the abundance of resources. The word “peace” is the same word as “shalom”, which is the same word as prosperity. Church Gist. It’s translated in both ways throughout Scripture. It’s the abundance of resources, nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing lacking. That is peace. That was why God brought Abraham to the point where He blessed him in all things. When you look around your life, nothing is missing.
I announce to somebody here, that Peace is your portion!
– I announce to you today, by the instructions you have just received, you’re stepping into the dimension of supernatural strength such as you have not had before!
– I prophesy to you right now, wherever you are, that battle is over today!
Very quickly; What is the way of the knowledge of God? How do we know God?
1. We know God in His Word. 1 Samuel 3:21. God uses His Word to reveal Himself. Church Gist. As you step into the Word, He connects you with who He is in His Word.
2. We know God at the place of prayer. 2 Corinthians 3:18. We know God at the place of prayer and Communion. Psalm 17:15. When we go to the place of prayer and we commune with God, and we speak with God, we know Him. Church Gist. The easiest way to know a person is to talk with them. When you talk to them, out of the abundance of their hearts, their mouths speak.
3. We know God in the Sanctuary. Psalm 77:13. That is why no matter how spiritual you are, you cannot avoid the Sanctuary. Church Gist. There are dimensions of God reserved for you as you come in the assembly of the people. Either in the course of the preaching of the Word or just right in the Sanctuary. Psalm 77:13.
4. We know God through His ordained instructors. Isaiah 30:20-21. As I pay attention to the voice of my teachers, the knowledge of God comes through that voice. Church Gist. In 1 Samuel 3:9-10, we saw how that happened to Samuel. Samuel thought it was Eli that was calling him but God was using the voice of his teacher to make Himself known. The Bible said, “the Word of the Lord was not yet made known unto Samuel until Eli instructed him in the way of the Lord”. In 2 Chronicles 26:5, we saw how King Uzziah got to pursue God through the instruction of Zechariah the Prophet in those days. Church Gist. God passes through His instruments, instructors, ordained servants to make Himself known. He made His way known to Moses and through Moses, He made His acts known to the children of Israel. Psalm 103:7. That is why there is a limit to which any of us can go if we fail to surrender and submit accurately under Prophetic covering. Church Gist. There are dimensions we may not be able to access by ourselves in God until God helps us through His ordained and anointed servants.
5. We know God through the Holy Spirit. John 15:26. 1 Corinthians 2:9-12. When we pray in the Holy Ghost, when we are speaking in tongues and all of that, we are not just wasting our time, we are plowing depths in God. Church Gist. We are getting access into the knowledge of God that we couldn’t have gotten otherwise.
– somebody say a loud Amen.
Now, having said all of these ways of Knowing God, what are the keys?
1. Desperation. That is, “I am desperate for you, I want to know you”. Hosea 6:3. Church Gist. God will not bother you with what does not bother you.
2. Supplication. That is where you come to the place of prayer and you’re actually telling God, “I want to know you”. Philippians 3:10.
– today, God is about to show himself to somebody.
– if you’re that one, shout the loudest Amen!
DECLARATIONS:
– We declare God’s blessing upon you in this month of June in the name of Jesus!
– We declare today, every expectation of your heart is granted in the name of Jesus!
– We declare, your rising to the top is hereby sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
– You’re preserved in your going out and in your coming in. The Hand of the Lord is made available to you.
– when others say they are cast down, you shall say there’s a lifting up. Doesn’t matter how the things are, you are lifted in the name of Jesus.
I pray to God and I say that what I desire from him first and foremost is for Him to grant you your request today. So, I pray for you right now:
– everyone trusting God for the blessing of salvation, freedom from sin to live the life of character, to live with eternity in view, to make Heaven your Home at the end of the journey, that grace to do so is released now!
– I take authority over every demon of addiction, every yoke of addiction, every yoke of bondage, every lifestyle that you’re not happy with, that you’re still living in, I declare today, grace to break free from it is released upon you!
– I speak to everyone who is a victim of ancestral curse, generational and family curse, the demons of your father’s house, altars and shrines of your village and lineage fighting your destiny, by the mantle of God upon my life, today, I declare, those altars are set on fire! The curses are broken!
– I declare your deliverance from ancestral, generational and family curse today, in the name of Jesus!
– every young girl or young man that is a victim of marital stagnation, the spell of singleness that will not allow you to be married, God helped us to get married and get married on time, today, I declare, that spell is broken! You’re released to get married, in the name of Jesus.
– everyone who is married and is trusting God for the fruit of the womb, we didn’t delay by His mercies, I prophesy and I declare today, as God brought a child on this day whose life is affecting his generation, I declare this day would mark the beginning of the miracle of conception in your life! I declare the yoke of barrenness is broken!
– be fruitful, multiply in Jesus’ name!
– everyone who is a victim of any form of scarcity, shortage, empty-handedness, poverty, wretchedness, that yoke is broken right now! Your resources are released in your hands.
– for those trusting God for the fruit of the womb, by this time next year, your children are already in your hands! For some of them, your children would share this same birthday in the name of Jesus. Just as a sign to you.
– I now announce, everyone who is stagnated on the destiny’s journey, you have been in the same position for long, the same post, the same promotion for long, I declare the stagnation is over!
– everyone that is plagued by any form of disease or affliction in your body, the disease is cleaned out now!
– everyone that is a victim of the spirit of death, that spirit of death is arrested and sent back to hell!
– you shall fulfill your days!
– go forth and breakforth.
– the blessing of the Knowledge of the Lord is released upon you!
– the blessing of supernatural strength is your portion!
– existence in the realm of exploits is your portion!
– existence in the realm of revival is your portion!
– existence in fulfilment is your portion!
– supernatural power is released upon you right now!
– Divine preservation is your portion!
– multiplied grace explodes in your life!
– Peace in your life be multiplied. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
– the Lord bless you and keep you!
