That family testified and one statement caught fire in my spirit. “I just want to thank God for showing us the light and causing us to remain in the light.” It is not enough to have the light. It delivers by walking in the light and staying there. Grace to walk in the light that God is showing here that is changing people’s stories. 2022 they caught the fire and they began walking in that light and everything turned in the family. Business is 300 per cent up, no health issues. They just vowed not to come to any service without bringing one new convert or one new challenged member. This is just 2023. There is no future in waiting for things to happen. Only those who take steps go forward. Nobody goes forward sitting down. Only those who take steps go forward. The rain stopped my team that goes out with me from going out and then we had to cover up today. Church Gist. First race, we got 100 souls saved. Only those who take steps go forward. I have been walking that way since 1976 unabated, untiringly. Don’t blame God for blessing me, don’t blame God for blessing your neighbour. He is doing what you are not doing. You can’t be doing what He is doing as contained in scriptures and not be enjoying what He is enjoying. Thank God for showing us the light and for causing us to walk in the light.
Prayers: Lift your two hands and ask Jesus to engrace you to walk in the light that He is showing in this awesome season of glory so your life will not suffer any further shame all the days of your life. Church Gist. Go ahead and pray. It is not enough to access the light, it is amazing to walk in the light. Revival time is a time of outbreak of light. Ask Him to speak to you tonight and do a new thing in your life by His Word.
Father, we are here again, all eyes are on you. You are the source of what we are looking for. In your light, we shall have light. Show us light tonight in the precious name of Jesus. For everyone that is in partnership with you in this season, Lord decorate them. Church Gist. According to your Word, decorate them. Decorate them openly. Decorate them everywhere. Confirm your Word tonight as you have always done.
No one can be a full partaker of any move of the Spirit as we are having it today in this Church without passion. It is passion that makes a believer a partaker of every move of God. Passion! Jeremiah 20:9. All the men of great exploits in scripture were men of palpable passion. Christ delivered His messianic ministry on the platform of undying passion. From the age of 12, he could not remember that the feast was over. Church Gist. He was in the midst of doctors and teachers both hearing and asking them questions and after three days they found him in the temple. The feast was over and he wasn’t aware. Church Gist. The zeal of the house of the Lord has consumed him according to Psalm 69:9. He said “Don’t you know I will be about my Father’s business.” Luke 2:47-49. Then we saw him invade the temple in John 2:13-17 and make some small cords and begin to flush out all that were buying and selling.
Peter came with unusual passion. You have laboured all night and caught nothing, somebody said push your boat. At what cost? At what charge? He didn’t ask how much are you going to pay. In his weariness, passion drove him to let Jesus into his boat. See what became of Peter. “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men” and he left his father and everybody and followed him. Luke 5:1-8, 11. When every other disciple scattered he stayed to see the end of what would happen. Church Gist. God found Paul and Paul stepped in as one unusual being. His passion was stronger than death. ‘for me to live is Christ, to die is gain’. Philippians 1:21. Paul was a man of unusual passion and they made unusual marks. Acts 26:22. Romans 8:35-37. He possessed the order of passion that is stronger than death. Today after Jesus said, Paul said. Everything Jesus said you must say Paul said before you can understand it. Generational blessing.
Then come down to men that are not ministry related. Passion gave them their place in destiny. Everybody needs passion. Think of Joseph, you should have killed those of your brethren who sold you into slavery when you now have power to kill them and imprison them and even terminate their lives. ‘But I fear God!”. Passion! Daniel came forth, ‘if we see you praying to any other God you will be cast into the den of lions”. That is not an issue. Passion! They couldn’t find any error in him except the Lord, his God yet he was a public officer in government. Passion not this jeko jeko kind of Christianity. ‘we are going to cast you into a fiery furnace if you don’t bow to this graven image’ “We are not careful to answer you. Do you know what is burning in us?”. Do your worst, we will not bow to your image. Passion gave them their place in destiny. Everybody needs passion and there is nothing mystical about passion. It is a product of one’s undying love for God and the interest of His kingdom. Church Gist. Love is a choice, it is not a gift. ‘Do you love me?’ Not ‘Are you gifted with love?’ According to scriptures, eyes have not seen nor ears heard what God has in store for him. Many more living wonders will emerge in the course of this midst of the year. There are many today in this Church worldwide, many more will emerge. Current living wonders will begin to scale new heights in their Supernatural life.
Our teaching series for our midweek services is ENGAGING THE POWER OF PASSION IN STEWARDSHIP. Why? Stewardship that is not built on a genuine love platform adds no value. Love motivated stewardship is what adds colour. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3. That’s why stewardship will remain futile if it’s not love motivated. Church Gist. Every passionate believer is an ever self motivated individual in stewardship. You don’t push him. They’re ever joyfully on the move. They don’t wait to be gingered. 1 Corinthians 9:22. Nothing looks like an unusual demand on their life. They just choose to enjoy it. The love in them moves them into action.
While this love is seated in the heart, it impacts on the mind to engage your emotion. Philippians 2:5; Nehemiah 4:6. So emotion is involved. Church Gist. It is passion that fuels our consistency and steadfastness in stewardship as we saw in Paul the Apostle, Daniel, the 3 Hebrew boys (Daniel 3:26) they were open, unashamed servants of God, they have no hidden identity, everybody knew where they belonged and they stayed through in the face of death.
Like we have always said, passion is not a gift, it’s a decision stirred by ones unreserved love for God and the interest of His Kingdom. Church Gist. I will never give to man till I go to Heaven anything that outweighs what I give to God. 1 Kings 19:10, 14. You can’t be and not know.
Now let’s become more specific: what is passion? It can be defined as a product of one’s unreserved love to see souls saved and established in the faith. God’s core purpose for sending Christ to the world, (John 3:16) is to offer everlasting life not to work miracles. Church Gist. We have seen all kinds of miracles; I mean, what do you want to see that we didn’t see in the wilderness? You went through the Red Sea on dry ground and you were feeding twice a day without planting season or harvesting season? You had no tent; you just stayed there under the cloud having nice time – correct temperature day and night. Even their legs were not swollen – 40 years. Their garments didn’t wax old on them. There was no one feeble person among their tribe. What a miracle!
Jesus came as sent by the father to redeem man from his sin. Anyone that partners with him on that task wins his favour without crying for it. You can’t claim to love someone if you don’t love what he loves the most. Salvation of souls is God’s greatest on the Earth today. When it’s not part of your Christian faith, you’re missing out on a big point. Church Gist. There are 3 forces that rule the adventure of man on the Earth: Faith, Vision and Love but the greatest is love. Living without genuine passion is like a car without fuel; you can’t get that car into motion no matter how much you push. There are those living on this Campus who do not even know that Jesus exists. They are not blind but they can’t feel it. May be they live in with someone, just came or they are just there on their own and they don’t know anything is going on. People’s destinies are sky rocketing, people are taking flights into space, they are not aware. Church Gist. Why? No heart for God. You can’t be missing in the race of life with a heart for God. Psalm 89:20-23.

2 Chronicles 16:9. Nobody knows the heart of man like God. He will find many more among us in this season and he will find you!
No gatecrashing into God’s blessing. There are defined steps to take to access His provisions. A heart for God is one capital step to take into God’s blessings. I believe from scriptures and from experience, one must be passionate in pursuit of God and the interest of His kingdom to make the most of His life. It is the jackpot of life. Until you are set for it, the struggle continues. I still sleep like a baby. I have not suffered one sleepless night on this ministry in my life. I am not the one carrying it. Give me your heart, not carry my luggage. Your days of struggles must end this time. Romans 8:28. How many things? All things. Matthew 6:21-33. Church Gist. Do you want me to know where your heart is? Let me see where you are investing the best of your energy, time and resources. That is where your heart is. If you see a drunkard, you can tell where his heart is. He has a joint somewhere that he must report to. If he is going to the hospital, he will branch there first. That is where his heart is. All those folks, they don’t have money but they must borrow money and go to that joint every day. You smoke small, let me smoke small. They just must be there, that is where their heart is.
The good news is you cannot be passionate for God and the interest of His kingdom and not know. ‘God knows who is passionate’. You will know. Elijah said ‘I have been very jealous for the Lord God of Israel’. I can say with all humility and sincerity, God knows, the devil knows I am very jealous for God. I have not seen a force under heaven that will make me think of denying Him. No! Death? I have overcome that severally. Church Gist. You can’t kill a believer, he just transits to glory. You better yield because the hour of temptation is coming to visit the entire world. If you don’t know where you belong, you will find yourself in a shrine before you know it. Many waters cannot quench love. So yield your heart back to God and you will be free.
Now, I got something in my study and it was so illustrative. Nehemiah 4:2. These mockers were saying something and I am sure it was the Holy Ghost that inspired them. So the episode of Nehemiah was an illustration of a revival. It is a picture of the demands of a revival and the outcomes of the same. There is no one that genuinely engages in this move who will not experience a change of story. Church Gist. It will be beyond what your skill and strength can ever attain if you will stay true to it. It is a clear illustration just like Ezekiel 37, from the valley of nothingness there arose a mighty host unto God. Everything that looks like nothing today will become the envy of the world around us as you choose to engage.
How did they get these walls built?
1. They had a mind to work (Nehemiah 4:6). They possessed the required passion to drive that agenda. We understand from scriptures that revival is spiritual labour time. 2 Chronicles 15:3-7. God opened up that agenda through the prophet. God was ushering in a revival to the land and He calls it work. So it is not fun, it is work. Haggai 2:3-4. I want to change your glory level but work and work says the Lord. My presence won’t do it, you will need to work. You work out your salvation, He is knocking on your door. Here is your season of glory, are you set for it? If yes, work the work I have instructed you to work and then you will see my glory. Prayer was a key factor in the building of the walls of Jerusalem. So it is with every revival. Nehemiah 4:7-9. Nehemiah prayed that revival into happening and they had to pray again to sustain that revival. It is a day and night challenge. Church Gist.
We saw in the Acts of Apostles, in Chapter 1 they gathered together 120 of them in the Upper Room. Acts 2:1-4. The Holy Ghost fell as they were praying. Acts 3:1-2. Things began to happen. Revival was ushered in by prayer and sustained by prayer. So prayer is not a subsidiary, it is a major factor in maximizing the blessedness of a revival. As you are on the prayer altar, you are in the Prayer Raid in the morning and evening, all of our aged people so you are not left out. When the Holy Ghost came He fell upon all men. Your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions. Upon the handmaidens (house helps) will I pour my spirit. So everybody is involved in a revival. Acts 6:4. Then a revival fire began to burn. You can’t leave prayer out to maximise the blessings of a revival.
Also, we saw that families got involved in the rebuilding of the broken walls and so it is with every revival. Nehemiah 4:14, Acts 2:26, Romans 16:5, Philemon 1:2, Acts 12:5. Church Gist. So this Revival must have a hold in your family, there must be a place for it in your family.
We also saw that half were on the job while the other half were holding weapons. On the job connotes the foot soldiers on the harvest weapon, holding the weapons are those on the prayer altar. It is so illustrative. To keep up the enemy from interfering. We all know the story. In 52 days the job was done. We are going to see wonders. Nehemiah 4:16-21. You find out in Acts 6, they divided the labour. You are in charge of this and we are in charge of that. Our job is to give ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word, your job is to do the administration. Go ahead and do it. That is how that revival was sustained otherwise it would have gone. Church Gist. We pray to see souls saved, we pray to see them established. Galatians 4:19. We travail to bring them into the Kingdom, we travail to keep them in the Kingdom. There is one that waters, another plants and God brings the increase. So there is the planting and the watering. We go forth sowing the seed of the gospel and they keep watering it on the prayer altar. Everyone shall be rewarded according to his own labour. 1 Corinthians 3:6-8. Leaders of the people were brought on board because wherever leaders go, their followers go also. May your life not mislead anybody else. May you not freeze the zeal of anyone else. “Are you going out again? Are you the only one” What is your problem? He has his life to leave. They mocked us gruesomely but we triumphed gloriously. What is be saved, did we tell you we are lost? They were mocking us, God was busy making us. The mockery of yesterday has resulted in the glory of today. Church Gist. Don’t stop the way of anybody going there. If anyone causes any of these ones to fail or fall, it will be better that he was not born. Don’t be a discourager. If you are not in the move, get out of the move. Between going passionately after God and going passionately after drugs, what do you take? Your son is driving after God and you are concerned, what is your problem? I pray something will happen in everyone’s life.
So the leadership has a role to play to keep this thing going. Nehemiah 4:16. The nobles were behind them, they were pushing.
Acts 16:4-5 – the leaders sent decrees to keep and the Church was established in the faith and increased in number daily. Now, it’s so demanding – someone working with one hand and holding the spear with the other. Nehemiah 4:17. Church Gist. So there are many in this season who are both fervent in prayer and passionate in going. 2 Corinthians 9:6. Nehemiah 4:17-18.
– May God turn everyone of us to a battle axe where we are not moved by anybody’s opinion against the move of God in our lives!
You stay true to it, focused – Nehemiah 4:18.
They were charged to respond to the sound of the trumpet that is, taking instructions from time to time as they come up. Nehemiah 4:19. The rebuilding of the wall was a day and night task. Nehemiah 4:22. Church Gist. The good news is engaging in a revival has 2 levels of outcomes and these levels are undeniable:
1. Eradication of shame and reproach. Proverbs 11:30; Proverbs 3:35. Exodus 23:25-26. That family said they have never known sickness or gone to any hospital, they just take Communion and they keep bouncing around because they are busy serving.
– Between these 2 months, everybody called barren, under any kind of complication, will come out triumphantly; shall be confirmed pregnant before this season is over as you engage with Jesus genuinely and with your heart!
– As the Lord lives, Everyone that succeeds in his or her active partnership with Jesus, the seal of a good old age will be established on you and your household!
– Psalm 91:16. When are you satisfied? When are you ready to come over? Oh I am not ready now; I am still busy serving the Lord. That is the wonder of it. The scourge of untimely death is cursed from the root in your household!
2. Turning many to righteousness will make a forever star out of every ordinary believer. Daniel 12:3 – Generational stars, stars that don’t die, stars that keep speaking from dead. Church Gist. There are many in the Kingdom that have gone long ago, they are still speaking now. Their lives are speaking volumes more than many that are living. One core mystery behind that is a commitment to seeing many souls flocking into the Kingdom.
Serving God in truth and in deed will always change the story of men supernaturally. Nehemiah became a captain; that was not his dream. Church Gist. His dream was to eradicate shame out of Jerusalem and God made him a Governor in return for his active partnership on the things that concerns God.
In closing, we have these 2 examples that we have been looking at. Elijah was a passion made Prophet to the nations. We saw that demonstrated in 1 Kings 18:23-39. Church Gist. He prayed fire down and brought the worship of Baal to an end in one day. 2 Kings 1:9-12.
Gideon was there bemoaning the assault on the land and God said, thou mighty man of valour. What gave him that place? His passion for God and the things of God turned a mighty man of valour out of a weakling. Church Gist. He blew the trumpet and the whole of Judah gathered. Unusual might came on him as a result of his genuine passion for God.
My Son, God says, give me your heart and watch what I do with your life. Proverbs 23:26; 1 Corinthians 2:9.
– May you be listed among his true lovers!
1 John 3:18; Isaiah 29:13. It’s not about going around and joining the group. Is your heart there? He knows whether your heart is there or not and you should know whether you heart is there or not. Nobody else can; no anointed prophet can know whether your heart is there or not, he has no access to your heart. Jeremiah 17:10. God knows where your heart is, you also know where your heart is. So let’s be true. Church Gist. There was this institution that had this motto: “To thyself be true.” Many are not true to themselves. After hearing all these things now they are going to visit one man again – this same night, after this message. They say, “why did you come late?” ‘The message was long today.’ “Kneel down. You’re 2 steps to death.” After hearing the good news, he goes to collect the bad news. So he is a confused man. I’ve not added one thing to Jesus since I met him. I’ve never entered any place – no! He knows where your heart is, when you’re vacillating, he knows. You can’t stay true with a heart for God and not experience his hand on your life. 2 Chronicles 16:9.
I have said before the Lord and to the people of God: whatever my God cannot do, let it remain undone. I am not looking for nothing. From the beginning, I am not looking for nothing. Wherever my God cannot take me to may I never get there. It’s settled! The devil knows it’s settled, God knows it’s settled and I know in me it’s settled. Whatever God cannot give me, may I never have it. Church Gist. Keep it, I don’t need it. Whatever will hurt me don’t give me. I said to him, wherever you will take me to your hand cannot reach me, don’t take me there. You better settle. Until you settle with God he cannot settle your life. Settle with God in true/ genuine love. 1 Samuel 2:30; Proverbs 14:28. The glory is not for free; you must take certain steps. “I am looking for multitudes; you’re a part of bringing multitudes, you secure my honour and when I honour you, no devil can dishonour.”
When God honours you, forget about the devil. Genesis 12:3. Church Gist. You don’t have enemies; just come under his blessings and leave your enemies to him. He will deal with them.
– Your days of struggle are over and this season will change your story forever!
