We are still in the month of “Living A Praiseful Life” but the Message today is: MIRACLE, WORSHIP AND PRAISE. The beginning of Christianity is the beginning of miracles, take away the miraculous all you have left is religion. The reason we are Christians is because of the miraculous. The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a proof of the miraculous. A miracle is the supernatural intervention of God that is beyond human comprehension. Everyone in life needs a miracle. Last Sunday, a woman testified of her son who is a Jehovah’s Witness, she said he was sick and was struggling with life. When she appeared, she forgot about ‘no miracle’, she said: “She needs miracle”, she anointed him at that point, all the arguments we forgot. He needed a miracle.
When someone needs a miracle, there is no point. If somebody says: “Jesus does not do miracles”. Forget it, the day he needs one argument will end. A Man of God said if you say: “Jesus, I don’t believe in miracles”. The day he has cancer, he will then believe in miracles by force because at that time when doctors tell him, ‘No way’. Church Gist. He will say: “Is there no other way?” The woman said she prayed for her own son who is a Jehovah’s Witness and he said: “Pray, it’s in my chest now” and she anointed him again then he was free. He didn’t say: “No, I’m a Jehovah’s Witness, don’t pray”. He saw death and he said: “Pray”. Everybody needs what? Miracles. It validates our Christianity. Miracles are real. If you don’t believe in miracles, me I’ve seen enough to doubt God.
What to do to have a miracle?
1. Turn away from those who don’t believe God’s miraculous power
You can’t surround yourself with those who don’t believe in miracles and expect one. Church Gist. In 2 Timothy 3:5, if somebody does not believe in miracles, keep the person away because relationship is contagious.
2. Have faith Mark 10:27, Mark 9:23
Believe that God is a miraculous God, refuse to doubt. Church Gist. If you have faith, God will do it, have unwavering faith that: “God, you are faithful to your Word”. It is your level of faith that will determine the magnitude of miracles you will encounter.
-May your own miracle happen right now.
3. Have great expectations Proverbs 23:18
Expectation is the breeding ground for the miraculous. What you don’t expect you are not qualified to experience. Expect a miracle of healing, breakthroughs, favor, marriage, contract approvals, promotion even marriage should be a miracle. The first miracle Jesus performed was in a marriage. You need miracle! You have five thousand naira and then you have found a wife, you need miracle to marry. True? What will five thousand naira do? Did you hear me? Church Gist. How many know you need a miracle to marry? You don’t think so? Ask my wife, we had only twenty-two to twenty-three thousand naira when we were to marry, is it cake you want to buy with twenty thousand naira? That is, everything two of us had was twenty-two thousand naira maximum but we sowed twenty thousand and Heavens opened. Oh! I didn’t beg one soul for assistance. Heavens opened! Two of us were in Bible School so where will the money come from? And me from childhood I hate to beg. So, you need a miracle to marry. You know why some of you have no miracle? How many will get miracle now? Your marriage will be by miracle.
If everything you want in life you have to get it then there is no need for a miracle, there should be a miracle. How many of you believe in miracles? If you don’t believe in miracles then become another religious member, don’t be a Christian. Miracle starts when you begin to bless the Lord in intense worship, you cannot intensely worship God and miss your miracle. It is our intense worship that provokes the miraculous acts of God. Some people worship God by focusing on their problems. Church Gist. When you are worshipping God, don’t focus on your problems, focus on His promises and the mighty God. When you focus on your problem instead of focusing on Him you limit His power to bless you. Now, here is it, worship triggers the power of His resurrection for you to join the best of God. In John 11, look at the man Lazarus, when he died we all know the story. The Bible says: “Four days, he was in the grave and Martha said by this time, my brother stinketh”. The first thing Mary did was to worship Jesus John 11:32.
-May your worship today mark the end of that struggle in your life. It will mark the beginning of incredible miracles that men cannot fathom sayeth the Lord if thou will hear.
Now listen, if you don’t know how to worship you will end up in wash-out. If you don’t want to end up a wash-out then learn how to worship God. In John 11:39-44, the Bible says: “Take away that stone” – That unbelief, that obstacle.
-That obstacle to your miracle shall be rolled away right now.
-Every stinking area in your life, you will end in that area with a testimony that will shake nations.
Have you ever been embarrassed before? Where people see you and castigate you. It has happened to me, where it was remaining for them to come to your face and say: “You are the one we are talking”. Bishop Oyedepo said a man of God stood on the altar where he was in front: “Some of you say you are rich with one car” – At that time he had one rickety Beetle, that was the only car he had. It was remaining for the man to say: “Oyedepo, you are the one I am talking about”. He said: “Some of you, you are saying ‘You are prosperous’!! Your car is tired, it was remaining for him to call his name and say: “Don’t you know you’re the one I’m talking”. Oyedepo said, he was in front and said what kind of thing is this? Not one, not two not three, he has bought jets, the same man.
I went to a Conference I will never forget. One of my classmates, he was then working with Winners, I just started Ministry so I wore one coat Monday to Saturday. So he came down and said: “Some of you said God has called you to Ministry, you gonna suffer, you wear one suit, some of us have bought suits. Church Gist. Some of you will wear one suit from Monday to Friday, you won’t change suit”. He was saying it to my hearing, I looked at him and said: “Okay oo I no blame you”. But can I tell you something, less than one year after we met. He didn’t have transport and my level has changed.
Will I be talking about suits now? In my life talk about suits? Till Jesus comes, will I be talking about suits? My friend, were you not here when I said, I gave out 500 suits in one meeting – In my last birthday not the other ones added to them oo, 500 was the basic, 500 suits not coats. I have given out shoes, ninety-something LV (Louis Vuitton) shoes in one week. I used to wear size 44, so I have LV shoes not the LV of Nigeria, LV of the real LV. Church Gist. So I changed my leg from size 44 to 45 so I can be free because of this shoe heck or whatever you call it so I began to wear size 45. I know some of my Pastors who have up to five, when you see some of them with LV shoes know it came from someone (Laughing) but I was mocked.
-I don’t know who has mocked you; today that mockery will end in testimony and miracle. Church Gist. They’ve ridiculed you, God will turn that ridicule to miracles.
In John 11:40, do you believe you will see the glory of God? Worship! Even Jesus had to worship the Father. Before Jesus prayed, worship was the first thing. When you worship, you don’t pray long prayers. Listen, I understand deep revelation of worship. If you are a worshipper you don’t pray long prayers, before you open your mouth God has answered. Church Gist. Check very well, any Church where they do too much long prayer of deliverance, they hardly sing. Anybody who use to worship, your prayer points will be short. All this vibration ‘Demon’!!! Una no dey dance, una no dey sing. So Jesus said: “I thank you because I know you’ve heard me” – Short! Are you hearing me? The prayers they pray to God is to have a relationship.
There are two different prayers, praying to cast out demons, demon is children prayer. Praying to know more about God is advanced prayers. My prayers are more of: “God reveal yourself to me I want to know more of you” not “Oh Lord, demons must go, satan must go, ekwensu where you dey? No!” All those are children (tata) prayers, Jesus never prayed about the devil. He went to relate with God and the devil saw Him and ran away. Now, listen I’m going to bring four things here in John 11:44: Try to go back home and just lie down (with hands and legs tied), it is impossible for you to get up without your hand or your legs, you will need your hand or your legs to help you. Church Gist. Now how come Jesus did not lift Lazarus out of the grave, He just said: “Lazarus, come forth”. The man bound hand and legs came out and stood. That means the Word of God has power to bring you out of an impossible situation.
-Today, as I’m speaking, anywhere that men have said things can’t work. I speak to your life, you are going to rise there in the name of Jesus.
You remember they mocked Him, He sent the people who mocked Him to go and lose him. The same people who are mocking.
-All your mockers will serve you after now.
Who are the people who He said: “Lose him?” The ones who mocked him.
-Now, everyone that mocked you will end up serving you.
Declarations: My miracles have come.
Another incident is the incident of Jarius’ daughter. In Matthew 9:18, 23-25. You know? Jarius’ daughter died and they came to Jesus. What did Jarius do first? He worshipped God. Every time you worship God things must turn. The first thing you should do is to do what? Worship. Jarius came and did what? Worshipped Him, He didn’t come to complain first. Church Gist. You know our problem? Too much complain. You have not worshipped, you have started presenting requests: “Father, I need car!” God said: “Worship me first”. Worship triggers the miraculous. “Leelee Church man, you say you dey go Church, you don come with this your joker, say you go marry this year, who go marry you na? You wey dey like this you go marry?” They say it to your face! “This one oo, what did he say, he will buy car! Cheeei! He is dreaming! Car, you?”
They look at you and say see this man, car! If they have not mocked you before, you are not a Christian. They will mock you, they will make jest of you, they will say: “You? Is he sleeping or dreaming?” Have they now mocked you before? I have good news for you: “They laughed Jesus to scorn, that this girl that is dead is sleeping”. They look at you they say ‘You have started’. You build house? Church Gist. Then they stand and say this Church people, I think something is wrong with them, this Church people, I think they are just mad. Do you know that Church man said he wants to build house? One he did not go to University, two which money? He is not in politics, three yeye man, na Bible alone em dey carry from morning till night em wan build house. Even your blood brothers will tell you, your blood people will tell you say “This your Church you dey go we never see anything oo? Your Church has not produced anything. But I have good news:
-In the name they laughed you to scorn is the very area God will announce you to your world.
All that laughed at me today are eating on my table. I’m the one taking care of all of them, not one person who laughed at me that I’m not taking care of. God has a way of humbling people. Church Gist. Everyone that laughed at me when God called me into the Ministry, I’m the one God is using to sustain them.
-That same area they mocked you will be the same area God will use you.
Matthew 9:25, that means put away everybody that will distract you. Church Gist. When you begin to worship, focus on God and what He will do, He alone will do His wondrous works.
-You will have your own testimony today Psalms 72:18.
But let me say this in closing, we are talking about worship! When it comes to financial miracle, you don’t sing, you worship God with your substance. Everywhere God gave someone a financial miracle, it was not singing alone there was a substance. Abraham in Genesis Chapter 22, so that I can balance it, so that you don’t say I am worshipping. And when it comes to financial breakthrough you must worship God with your substance. Now when Abraham was to worship God for blessings to be released to him in Genesis 22:5, he had to use a substance to be blessed. Are you getting me Sir? When Jesus was born in Matthew Chapter 2, they opened treasures to worship. Church Gist. You don’t use trash to worship God and expect treasures, if you want to worship God, you give Him your best. Worship for miracles and healing and worship for breakthroughs, they are not the same. Solomon went to worship God with his substance and became the wealthiest man. I can worship God now and blind eyes will open but I can’t worship God now and you will get money without a substance. Do you understand the difference? I can tell a sick man now ‘Be healed’ by worship, immediately the sickness will go but if I say ‘Now, God give him breakthrough’. He will rather break down. No matter how we worship there must be a substance, so understand Bible.
That’s why so many say: “This miracle, why e no dey work for me na? Why things still dey tough?” Because you have not given substantially in the worship. You cannot sing to get money oo, choir you dey hear me? If you watch in some Churches one sector that is very poor is choir not here oo, because they think they can use singing to cover offering. No, I go choir practice on Monday, I go choir practice on Tuesday e no go move God oo. Anywhere you go them go dey sing for you, but for breakthrough you go give oo. If you like get voice oo 🎶 Haaaaleluya!!! 🎶 Nwakanma was a singer from childhood, he used to sing classical but poverty dey sleep on top am. Church Gist. When he came here, I told him and said: “Nwakanma!” The mother happens to be my first cousin, we are of the same grandparents, his own grandfather and my grandmother were siblings. So I now told him and said: “Don’t say I’m your brother oo, brother no dey here if you no dey give”. So don’t mistake it, they came to worship with their treasures. And then if you want treasures then you must give God, don’t give God trash.
