Whatever you truly came for today, you will return with it. Jesus said, “Come unto me all ye who labour and are heavily laden and I will give you rest.” That connotes struggling for survival in any area of life. “Come and learn of me and you shall find rest for your souls.” John 8:32. That man read the book ‘Breaking the Curses of Life’ and God overturned the curse and brought him into a realm of fortune terminating the curse of misfortune on the family. One of us was here some time ago, no graduate exceeds 47 in their lineage. He testified after he was 50 because the curse was broken. Church Gist. You saw 37 years of marital spell broken, that is what he does. Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever. Whatever represents a recurrent of evil, a cycle of evil in anyone’s life that is a curse. Anything of long continuance is a curse. Today I decree that any form of curse hanging on anyone’s life shall be broken. You are walking out of here a free man, a free woman, a free boy and girl. You will never forget today in a hurry because the unthinkable will take place in the life of many. The unimaginable will happen in the life of many.
Heavenly Father thank you today for the privilege to be in your presence, now breathe upon your Word today, let each one locate his own Word and let it result in a turnaround.
For many years God has never instructed that we suspend the teaching series for a specialized ministration. No! I have been here all along, you all met me here. There must be something in the heart of God. Whatever is mocking your redemptive right must be visited with judgement today. Whatever makes people ask “Where is your God?” ends here today. Church Gist. For all first time worshippers just set yourself, everything Jesus does is for free. He charges nobody for anything and He sent us to go and give freely what He has given us freely. I am not under any curse so I am privileged to be an instrument for your rescue and you are coming out today in the name of Jesus.
Prayers: whatever you desire to see stop, call it stop. Enough is enough. Whether it is sickness and disease, marital turmoil must stop today. Church Gist. I have come to Jesus, my final bus stop. Challenges over your children must end today.
COVENANT KEYS TO BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES.
We live in a kingdom that operates on keys. After Peter confessed Christ as Lord and Saviour, He said I will give the keys of heaven. Matthew 16:19. If you bound curses they are bound if you have the correct key. You have the correct key, the door is at your command. Access into the world of freedom is at your command. Proverbs 26:2. There is no evil occurrence that has no root, there is no smoke without fire. Whatever is contrary to blessing is a curse. So what we are trying to do is to locate the root and deal with it accordingly. John 8:32-36. Today is your day of freedom. The devil is upset that you are here and he will be upset forever. Curses are real. The good news is that curses including generational curses are reversible when one is born again. Church Gist. They are real but all curses are breakable. Galatians 3:13-14. That deals with the curse of the law. It is listed out there in Deuteronomy 28:14-66 summarized. Sickness, poverty and death, if you read 14-66 that is the summary. Kenneth Hagin did that for us. That was abolished at the cross. Jesus abolished the curse of the law when we believed.
This is the problem, many are not sure of their salvation because they are not saved. If you are saved, you will be sure. Let me show you a biblical acid test of salvation. When you repent, a time of refreshing comes. Acts 3:19. Romans 14:17. That is the source of our refreshing or if you want to call it, the fruit of the spirit. Your spirit man now carries a new nature and it is manifesting those nine fruits of the Spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-23, that is the proof that you are born again. Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Jesus is coming soon. Church Gist. There is a lifting of burdens at salvation. In case you have not experienced it before, it is never late to be right. There is no peace to the wicked but righteousness reigns at new birth. I have found a new way of living. There is a new way that comes your way. Don’t assume your salvation, don’t ever claim that a long time in the Church equals salvation. Never! I was born inside the Church, I was in the choir but I wasn’t saved. Never late to be right because there are three major sources of curses we are talking about. Church Gist. First, the curse of the law. That is only reversible by salvation. No other way. Outside Christ, those curses will keep prevailing. Until you are genuinely, provenly born again. That one prayer can’t break it, fasting for 120 days won’t break it. It is part of our redemptive package, escape from under the curses of the law. So salvation is non-negotiable. You find many believers struggling for survival day and night, you better check the root. Am I saved?
That does not connote perfection, we are going on to perfection but it connotes connection. Jesus becomes your darling, to please Him becomes your way of life. The only solution to the curses of the law is redemption. Until one is saved, he is not safe. The curses will keep raging and they are listed there in Deuteronomy 28:14-66. It is the catalogue of the curses of the law. Today as many that are not free, you will be free. Church Gist. I was at Canaanland Gate on my way from my Outreach, I said No! There are some people here that need to know Jesus. I branched there and we got 114 at Canaanland Gate. Beautiful Gate. They are selling and buying there but they don’t know what you are talking about. It is over with the devil in your life. You are walking into liberty by force today.
Curses are often generational in nature. With a lifespan of three to four generations. That is three hundred to four hundred years. If you come under a curse and it is not broken, it keeps ravaging your generation after you. Exodus 20:3-5. Flirting after another God is a demonstration of your hatred for God. You hate him. “You are too slow for me, I need to get somewhere else”. That curse will last for three generations and up to four generations. Genesis 15:13,16. Four hundred years equals four generations and they didn’t come out of the place until four generations. I don’t know why God said that, I have not tried to find out. It is a validation of Exodus 20:3-5. Don’t invest wahala into the lives of your children yet unborn. Those things you are putting in your pocket, they are the undoing of your life. Somebody has to tell you. Mama gave me. Church Gist. Mama has put you into trouble all the days of your life. If God be God, serve Him. If it is Baal, follow him. I have nothing apart from Jesus in my body, in my house, on the streets, I am a free man. Satan has no part in me. You better wake up and think fast. If God be God, serve Him, if it is the devil, follow him. All this “heaven helps those who help themselves” that is in your private Bible, it is not in my Bible. Psalm 62:5. Anything outside that wahala, trouble, crisis. There are people right here now that have those things in their pockets. In the house of God, they have it in their homes. What? Papa, pray for me. Papa can’t pray against the truth. No anointed man’s prayer can revert the Bible. You can’t rewrite it. Somebody’s getting free finally.
Every recurring trend of evil in one’s lineage is an indication of a curse. This includes addiction. There are some families who just have sons and daughters who smoke, have no business and their brains are turned upside down. You just find them one generation after another, they are just a burden to the society through addictions to evil vices. Church Gist. Business and career frustrations, marital spells including delays and marital crises, you find those trends going on. Childlessness, hereditary disease, the scourge of indebtedness, you find those trends going on here and there. Wicked forces came and inflicted those things.
Again, when you are born again, the past is written off because you are now members of a new lineage. You now become a member of the household of God. So the curse on your lineage has no hold on you. Acts 17:30-31. Church Gist. God has overlooked the times of ignorance but now commands all to stop it there and get on the right path. The man in Christ is a new creature and behold old things are passed away and all things have become new.
Like I said, there are three major sources or avenues of curses. The first is the curse of the law. We have discussed that, when one is born again the curse of the law is abolished because every handwriting that was against us, he took it out of the way nailing it to his cross. Church Gist. He took it out of the way and blotted it out by the blood. So all those curses listed are no longer your portion. New birth is a must to live a new life.
Secondly, which is a major challenge around the world today. Diabolical curse of the wicked. As we saw in the case of Balaak who hired Balaam to curse Israel at three different points in Numbers 23:8-24. Diabolical curses cannot hold you bound when God has blessed you. So securing God’s blessings is the cure for diabolical curses of the wicked. When you come under the blessings, you render powerless the curses of the wicked. I had a testimony some time ago, somebody went to one of these native doctors to harm somebody else and he told him if the man’s heart is pure it won’t work, it will come back on your head. Isn’t that the Bible? If his heart is pure on this matter, it will boomerang to you. Church Gist. You better get right with God so that those curses will bounce back to where they are coming from. Number 23:20-22. God’s blessings on your life and my life are irreversible as long as we stay on in love with Him and working in the light of His Word. Number 23:8. No curse of the wicked can work on your life when God’s blessing is on your life. So go secure His blessings.
Satanic spells are real. 1 John 5:19. Many in the Body of Christ are suffering under the curse of the wicked but as Jesus steps in, you walk into your liberty today. Church Gist. That woman was bound by Satan for 18 years. Luke 13:11-13, 15-16. Satanic spells are real.
We have a part to play to secure our freedom from the curses of the wicked. Isaiah 52:1-2. You don’t keep watching, you step out for your liberty. You step out to enforce your liberty. Church Gist. From the days of John the Baptist, the Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. Your right won’t just creep into you, you enforce their delivery. Matthew 11:12. We have a responsibility. This includes:
1. Engage your faith to stop the curse by speaking against it.
Jesus spoke against the fig tree and by the time they came back, the fig tree had withered. Mark 11:14, 21-23. When those 42 children were mocking Elisha, he turned back and cursed them in the name of the Lord and two she-bears came out of the woods and devoured them. Everything mocking your destiny in Christ comes under judgement today by you speaking against those everlasting mountains. Enough is enough! I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus. I am under the cover of the blood. Manslayers are not permitted to access the City of Refuge. Enough is enough! Today is today. Speak against it, when Jesus kept quiet because of the cost of redemption that he came to pay, you know the story in Isaiah 53. He was brought into Judgement. Carried into prison because he opened not his mouth. Wake up! Isaiah 53:7-8. What we are picking out of there is that with a closed mouth, there is no way out. Satan doesn’t hear begging, he only respects power. Release of power which comes through the tongue. Life and Death are in the power of the tongue. Luke 21:15. So you have the power to stop them. There is power in your tongue. Psalm 81:10-11. I have been opening my mouth widely all these years. No devil has been able to say, what do you mean? They know what I mean. When I open my mouth wide God steps in. Church Gist. They opened their mouths wide and God was confirming all they said. Nobody comes against this tiny man (me) and goes Scot-free. Who gave birth to him? No witch or wizard. It is the right of every believer because He has made us sit together with Him far above all those nonsense forces. You can’t talk. God save my life, I am not Papa. When Papa was a boy, he was talking like that. Was I saved as Papa? I got saved as a boy. This language hasn’t changed. Wake up! Don’t make yourself a prey. You are just patching through life and you are not reacting. Get angry. I am a child of the King, what is happening around me is not permitted. That is not where I belong. Someone is recovering his destiny right now.
I once told them while ministering that if anybody asks you how far with your desire for fruitfulness, tell them God has done it. This my daughter answered one devil monitoring her life “God has done it” and she started crying “My chest, my heart!” and she died. They say how far? God is there, we are still waiting oh. Fire for fire! Today every arrow shot at you must go back to where they came from. Someone’s freedom is just established. Church Gist. Isaiah 54:17. You shall condemn not God, you. We invoke judgement against our assailants. No! You can’t go free with it. Never! We are spiritual lions, no dog can misbehave around you no matter how mad the dog is. Over to you.
Faith is not a risk. Faith is our security. Ephesians 6:16. Faith is our covenant security. So it is not just speaking that gets the job done but speaking boldly, speaking unashamedly, speaking with confidence in God who can never deny himself.
Also, you rise up to invoke the wrath of God upon the sources of your affliction. Why? God is angry with the wicked every day. So He is eager to hear you. Psalm 7:11. Psalm 68:1-3. You invoke the wrath of God against the curses directed at you to go back to where they are coming from. Before you invoke the wrath of the Holy Ghost upon the sources of the curse in your life. Isaiah 59:19. Church Gist. When Elymas tried to withhold the Deputy from the gospel, the Holy Ghost came upon Paul and he brought a curse upon him and the curse took him out on the spot. He went blind on the spot. Acts 13:9-11. You invoke the wrath of the Holy Ghost against the source of your assailants.
To secure your freedom, remain committed and dedicated to kingdom advancement endeavours. That is what keeps you under the blessing and keeps the curses away off your life. Exodus 23:25. Job 36:11. When He blesses who can curse? Kingdom Advancement endeavours are what secures our freedom from the curses of the wicked. Luke 10:1-2, 17-19. Kingdom advancement engagement secures us from the curses of life. We were on a flight and I said “Jesus we are on your mission, we are entitled to your protection”. One engine failed in the aircraft but it brought us back safely. We are on His mission no arrow can bring us down. You can’t be on His mission and be buffeted by the wicked. This is your covenant insurance. Kingdom stewardship is your covenant insurance. When your insurance lapses, you have no claim. This insures you against accidents, against plagues and afflictions. So to lay by in Church doing nothing, you are undoing yourself without knowing. There is a place for everyone. You can’t go to preach, you can invite. Invitation doesn’t require anointing, it is passion. You invite people to come for your wedding, come for your birthday, what is in inviting people to come to Church? It involves serving God on the altar of prayer, praying for souls to be saved and established in the faith. Church Gist. It includes giving to get people down to Church to help them stand in the faith and not go back to where they are coming from. Everybody has a place if only he has a heart. Wherever a man’s treasure is there his heart will be also. It is your heart that keeps you going. Never forget, Kingdom advancement is your covenant insurance in the kingdom. It secures all your days on earth and establishes a throne for you in eternity. What else are you looking for?
The most hidden of all sources of curses or avenues of curses is self inflicted curse. As God was taking me through this, I was amazed because I have been studying curses for some time and I have never seen how widely these self-inflicted curses are buffeting people without knowing. Church Gist. So we need to deliver ourselves from ourselves. There are some sources that I identified of self inflicted curses.
1. The curse of serving other gods.
We have dealt with that already. This includes the god of gold. It doesn’t mean just idols of wood and iron. Exodus 32:31. The god of gold, people are dying for money. They will do anything for money. They can come from Church and you tell him “There is one man in one forest around Edo State, if you come with me money will be flowing into your pocket.” He can even carry his Bible to the place. The god of gold has brought down many people without knowing. Many are in the graves today not by any satanic assault but by the god of gold. Church Gist. You can’t serve God and money. You have to choose one and despise the other. You can see how money answers to those who are serving Him in truth in this Church. There is no prayer in your home cell or anything that targets money. So why are we not lacking money? You better wake up. If God be God, serve him. If it be Baal, follow him. Joshua 24:15.
2. The curse of unrighteousness
We have the example of David, three options none was good. Samson lost his eyes after years of ruling in Israel, he became a toy. He died a shameful death. Think of Solomon, he lost out of favour from God through the curse of unrighteousness. 1 Corinthians 10:13. Beware of sin, it makes people to stink. Don’t toy with it. James 1:12-15. Caution! The cure is the fear of God. There is the Spirit of the fear of God that came upon Jesus in Isaiah 11:1-2. It is also called the Spirit of Holiness. We need to crave for it to be free from what wants to destroy our lives and then we can be free. Self inflicted curse. Today everybody is saying you are free to do whatever you want to do, God is still in love with you. Church Gist. Was God not in love with Solomon? He was God’s darling but when he turned his back everything went sour. Samson was unusually gifted when he gave into sin, he became a mockery. David was a man with a heart for God from childhood, he went off course and God said you have three options you have to choose one. Now, war has been on because of that curse. By the anointing today, every siege that has held anyone bound shall be destroyed. Self-inflicted curses are real. No one here shall be a victim.
3. The curse of pride (self worship)
Pride is self worship. In this organisation, if they remove somebody like me what remains? Nothing. Pride goes before destruction. Proverbs 16:18. A meek spirit is the cure for it. 1 Peter 3:4. The meeker a believer, the larger his coast of blessings on the earth. Moses was the meekest of all men and there was no prophet in Israel like unto Moses. Number 12:3, Deuteronomy 34:10-12. Jesus, the Saviour said I am meek and lowly of heart. You can’t scale any height without a genuine meek spirit. Pride! No one shall fall a victim. Every trace of pride remaining in everyone today by this anointing you are free for it. After Uzziah was promoted by God, his fame was all over the earth, his heart was lifted within himself to his destruction. Church Gist. 2 Chronicles 26:14-16. He ended up a leper. A global champion ended up a leper by pride. Daniel 4:30-32. Acts 12:20-23. Herod made an oration and they shouted “The voice of a god, not a man” and an angel came and gave him a slap and worms ate him up alive. Pride is a destroyer, it brings a man under self inflicted curse. There is no devil involved, it is just between you and your Maker. In the name of Jesus, I pray that the curse of meekness will become your portion today.
4. The curse of stealing
Zechariah 5:1-4. The curse of the Lord is going around all the earth locating those that steal. It is not where you steal from that makes a thief, it is the act of stealing. If you steal from your parents or your spouse, you are a thief. You better stop it. Let him that steal, steal no more but let them work with their own hands. Don’t toy with what destroys. Acid looks so colourless a liquid. As colourless as water. Don’t try it. You take it, you are gone. The throat is cut and that is the end of it. Don’t toy with what destroys. Stop toying with what destroys. Stealing does not befit a royalty. Church Gist. You are a king. It does not befit a king. In the name of Jesus, the thirst of anyone for what does not belong to him dies here today. I was 20 when the Lord showed me Jeremiah 17:11 and I shared it with a friend. Stop looking for what is not yours. Be contented with yours and see how God will keep lifting you.
5. The curse of idleness. The curse of doing nothing.
You remain in want doing nothing productive. Doing nothing productive puts a man under the curse of lack. You are always in want doing nothing. In all labour there is profit. Proverbs 14:23. Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might. Don’t toy with idleness. Get productively engaged. Ecclesiastes 9:10. Church Gist. Before you get what you are looking for, make the most of what you have already. The cure for that is diligence. Living as one on a mission. Jesus said I must work while it is day, the night comes when no man can work. He is our perfect example. Paul said I labour more than them all. You can’t get more out of life more than what you put into it.
6. The curse of defilement of one’s parents.
Today there is a wave, people are now disobedient to their parents. Young people, their parents no longer mean anything to them like in our own time. Parents can’t even ask where are you going. What? Asking me where I am going. I won’t tell you. We have the example of Canaan, the youngest son of Noah. Genesis 9:22-25. He saw his father’s nakedness and told his brothers. He landed a curse on Canaan. Proverbs 20:20. Caution! They look so ordinary but they are dangerous and poisonous. Someone here was taken in by some sickness and disease, they called me if I need to pray for him. I said ask him if he needs my prayer. You know that kind of question. Ask him does he believe I am a man of God. Even Jesus, what you don’t believe he has the power to do will not flow into your life. So don’t waste your time. One way out, maintain genuine honour towards your parents so it can be well with you. Church Gist. You know the man Absalom abhorred his father before the eyes of all Israel, you know the way he died? Suspended death. While trying to flee from the army of Israel, his hair got hooked on the branch of a tree. He was dangling because the ass he was riding had passed. He was hanging in the air with two, three daggers on your chest. He had no burial place in Israel, they heaped stones on him for abhorring his father. You better wake up! Young men, wake up! You don’t honour your father and mother, you are creating a curse without knowing. Ephesians 6:2-3. Don’t pet your sons, command them. Don’t watch for trouble to be brought on your lineage. Don’t watch it. Honour does not mean money, it means reverence, respect. Materials can be involved but the genuineness of it is from the heart. Isaiah 29:13.
7. The curse of the love of money
We have the example of Achan, who destroyed his entire lineage for craving after unrighteous gain, Gehazi who would have taken over from Elisha, we can’t hear of him anymore. Judas who should have been an Apostle ended up a son of perdition. All because of money. Insatiable crave after money. Joshua 7:21-25 – Achan, 2 Kings 5:20-27 – Gehazi, Matthew 27:1-5 – Judas, he committed suicide. Contentment is the covenant cure for insatiable crave for money. Be satisfied with where you are. Church Gist. I have given testimony of #500 before while in ministry. You must have heard the one I was believing God for #500 to attend to certain things. #500 not fifty years ago. Our ministry was in two rooms 40 years ago, #100 for rent for the office. You better wake up, it may be slow but it is sure. You better take the sure path instead of cursing yourself havoc. 1 Timothy 6:6. Beware of covetousness, we brought nothing to this world and we are taking nothing out of here. May money not push you out of the kingdom.
8. The curse of hard fistedness.
Nothing goes from him even to his children or family members. To get money for food he will eat, nothing. If you are not a giver, you suffer financial temperature. It is a fever. Proverbs 11:24-25. Church Gist. The covenant cure is a crave for the giving grace. Lord engrace me with the giving grace so my life will not be running financial temperature anymore. A change is coming.
9. The curse of unbelief.
Please note that unbelief is evil. Hebrews 3:12. The evil heart of unbelief. Whatever you won’t believe from this Word God cannot do in your life. Whatever devil makes you to disbelieve any truth of scriptures has robbed you of that benefit in your destiny. It is an evil heart. He is targeting your faith so he can bring you down. Unbelief is evil. You can’t overcome any battle in this world without faith. 1 John 5:4. He wants to keep you and me in bondage so he attacks our faith. I don’t believe it. What does it do to God? What you believe or don’t believe is your cup of tea. I don’t believe in Holy Communion, I don’t believe in the anointing. I don’t. Church Gist. I have a PhD in Psychology and they are just trying to manipulate our emotions. What you don’t believe places a limit on your life. You don’t believe in breakthroughs, begin to break down. You don’t believe in healing, you begin to get sick. You don’t believe in prosperity, enjoy poverty. You don’t believe in success, keep enjoying failure. Habakkuk 2:4. Romans 10:17. Crave for the spirit of faith which we call the shield of faith by which you can quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. Without faith, you will stink. Without faith, you will sink. Peter began to sink because he doubted. No one will stink. No one will sink.
Those are sources of self inflicted curses and you are free from it today. The good news is the end has come to every form of ups and downs in your life.
Prayer: Lord quicken me from my spiritual slumber, engrace me to take responsibility to free myself from myself so I can secure my glorious destiny in you. Go ahead and pray.
Isaiah 52:2.
Renew your covenant of stewardship. It is your turn for rest roundabout. When you are out to serve God, He goes all the way to see to your freedom. Church Gist. Could you renew your covenant of Stewardship today to see all round rest? Go around and pray.
You are not permitted to remain in bondage when you have a vow to serve Him on your head. Exodus 4:22-23. That is how much committed God is to set you free when you are out for Him. That is where some of us here are. Church Gist. Today will mark the end of all harassment in your life. If your covenant renewal is genuine, no devil in hell can stop the verdict on your liberty today. Today is your day.
– I declare today your day of liberty from every diabolical curse of the wicked.
A family came from Benin and eleven daughters in that family, none of them ever got married. Church Gist. The same year five got married one after the other because the curse was broken. Awesome God!
– Every negative trend in your life brought upon you by the devil and his agents is broken today.
– As you go from here, you will hear news that the curse is broken.
– The curse of misfortune is broken.
– The curse of marital spell is broken.
– The curse of childlessness is broken.
– The curse of going around in cycles is broken.
