MOST OF THE TIME THE PRESCRIPTIONS OF JESUS LOOK VERY FOOLISH, THEY DON’T SEEM TO MAKE SENSE
SOMEBODY SAYS THEY HAVE CANCER AND YOU SAY TAKE THE COMMUNION. IT DOESN’T SEEM TO MAKE SENSE.
SOMEBODY SAYS THEY HAVE A GROWTH AND YOU SAY TOUCH IT WITH ANOINTING OIL. IT DOESN’T SEEM TO MAKE SENSE BUT THE FOOLISHNESS OF GOD IS WISER THAN MEN.
ON THE WORST DAY OF GOD, HE IS BETTER THAN THE BEST DAY OF A DOCTOR.
IT IS RISKY AND FOOLISH TO ARGUE AGAINST THE PRESCRIPTIONS OF THE KINGDOM

Our line of teaching for our midweek services this month has been captioned MEET JESUS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN AND HIS GREAT PRESCRIPTIONS. All through the scriptures, Jesus’ ministry was characterized by healings and deliverances. Matthew 4:23-24. That was the ministry of Jesus. Acts 10:38. The ministry of Jesus all through scriptures was characterized by healings and deliverances. Hebrews 13:8. Church Gist. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. That means that whatever He did then He is still doing now. Whatever He did then, He will be doing forever. From scriptures, it is clear that when you come to Jesus for healing, for deliverance and liberty there is still the execution of that ministry today. Therefore whatever represents any affliction of the devil upon any life that is here present, tonight shall be your night of liberty.
Furthermore, from scriptures, we are made to see that every child of God is made to administer the miraculous. Isaiah 8:18. Matthew 10:8. Every child of God is ordained to administer the miraculous. The good news is there is no reduction in the potency and quality of the miraculous that is available to you and me. John 14:12. Church Gist. What that means is that there is nothing Jesus would have done when he was on the earth that he is not doing now. He is even saying what is available to you and me is greater than then. We are in the greatest days of the demonstration of the power and glory of God. That is why whatever the affliction may be tonight by the authority of Jesus, each one here is stepping into perfect liberty.
It is important to further establish that the ministry of Jesus covers all manner of sicknesses, all manner of diseases. There is nothing outside the scope of His reach. Mark 9:23. Mark 10:27. There is nothing outside the scope of His reach. Matthew 10:1. No matter what the case is, it is covered under all. Jesus is the only physician that covers all conditions. He is the only physician that addresses all cases. He is the only one that tackles all cases. We just heard the testimony of our deaconess that stood on this altar and testified that she was attacked at the place where she sells and her legs were swollen. Church Gist. They had a picture of the condition of her legs. Right where she was selling the attack came on that leg and the leg began to explode in size and you can see the sores breaking out. You heard her testimony that when Jesus intervened not only was the leg healed, she just celebrated the giving out of her last daughter in marriage. Jesus rescued her legs and decorated her family. It is possible, there is no case that is outside His reach. It is important for us to understand this because not every affliction is natural. Not every condition is natural. Look at the condition of that leg, somebody will give it one name or the other but it requires a divine touch for liberty to be established. Not every condition is natural. Not every situation is natural. It is not everything you are combating in your body that can be tackled biologically. That is why the Bible says in Acts 10:38 that Jesus went about healing all them that were oppressed by the devil. Many of these conditions are satanically orchestrated. Church Gist. There are spirit forces behind them. I pray tonight that whatever is behind any affliction in your body, whatever is buffeting and torturing you physically, tonight by the power and authority of Jesus I see your liberty completely established. We must come to recognize that this healing ministry of Jesus is still potent today and addresses every situation, every condition no matter what the root cause of it may be. The solution is available in Jesus.
Take note of this tonight that for every Physician there are specific prescriptions. We have come to discover that the physical actually mirrors the spiritual. It is a copycat of the spiritual. This means that if there are physical prescriptions for every physical physician, then there are spiritual prescriptions for every spiritual physician. Jeremiah 8:20-22. The balm represents the prescription, the physician is Jesus Himself. It means that Jesus has specific prescriptions. Take note of this. We must understand that this physician, Jesus His foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of men. 1 Corinthians 1:25. The foolishness of this physician is greater than the wisest of men. Church Gist. No matter how intelligent the man may be he cannot be compared with the foolishness of God. What that means is that on the worst day of God, He is better than the best day of a doctor. I like us to begin to trust wholeheartedly in the capacity of the Great Physician. We must come to that point of realization that we are dealing with one whose wisdom can not be naturally quantified. Romans 11:33. When it comes to God, you are dealing with one whose wisdom far supersedes whatever any man can imagine. The interesting thing about His prescriptions is that we must understand that God usually chooses the foolish things to confound the wise. 1 Corinthians 1:27. Many times the prescription of the great physician may look naturally foolish. How can this be? It may look foolish to man but therein is the wisdom of God hidden. The wisdom of God is hidden in the fact that it makes the foolish things to confound the wise. Church Gist. That is why most of the time you discover that the prescriptions of Jesus look very foolish, they don’t seem to make sense. Somebody says they have cancer and you say take communion. It doesn’t seem to make sense. Somebody says they have a growth and you say touch it with anointing oil. It doesn’t seem to make sense but the foolishness of God is wiser than men and He uses the foolish things to confound the wise.
I ask you a simple question, many of us visit a Physician from time to time and the doctor tells you this is the medication to take, take it two times in the morning, afternoon and night. You look at it and it is a medication that the composition looks like chalk. You were not there when it was manufactured. The man just puts it inside a new nylon bag, if you look at the nylon bag they put medications even the nylon looks suspicious, we don’t mind because it is the doctor that puts it inside the nylon. Then he writes on it something you cannot see clearly but it is a doctor that wrote it. How many of us know most of the time doctors’ writings are not clear. It is ordained for confusion. Church Gist. They write it just like that and you take it. He says take two in the morning, afternoon and evening. You calculate every instruction that he gives even though the instruction may not make sense. It may not look applicable. Somebody has a skin problem and they gave him tablets to drink and he didn’t argue with the doctor that this problem is not inside my stomach it is on my skin. He took it because of his confidence in the doctor yet the Doctor of doctors, the Creator of your physician gives you a prescription and then you say what does it have to do with that? For somebody here tonight as you step into the reality of faith concerning the Great Physician, every condition in your body that has defiled solutions shall be swiftly tackled tonight. What we are saying tonight is that it is risky and foolish to argue against the prescriptions of the Kingdom. That is why all through this month God has been unveiling to us various mysteries to ensure that we position ourselves adequately to take delivery of our healing rights. For somebody here, after tonight sickness and diseases will never be named with you again.
Tonight we are going to be examining one of the very unique, very foolish looking mysteries of the Kingdom but in the foolishness is the power. We are looking tonight at THE HEALING WONDER IN FEET WASHING.
Feet washing is a spiritual medium through which we take delivery of our missing inheritance in Christ. We have this outlined for us in John 13:3-8. For every child of God, we are bestowed with diverse inheritance in Christ. In fact, our inheritance covers all things that pertain to life and godliness. 2 Peter 1:3. This inheritance is so important that this was the reason why Jesus came to die among others. He came to rescue us from sin and to procure for us an inheritance. Revelation 5:12. All of those things were packages for which he was slain. Jesus came to procure for us an inheritance. This inheritance is rich and enviable, it covers every department of life. Church Gist. Jesus also gave us a word of caution – John 10:10. Two people came on assignment, one came for the distribution of inheritance, the other came to rob those who have been given the inheritance of what belongs to them. It is important for us to understand that although we have an inheritance made available to us in Christ, the inheritance most times is under threat. Jesus gave us a mystery and that is the mystery of feet washing, so that whatever belongs to you that is missing can be recovered. I don’t know what belongs to you in Christ that has been missing but by the Encounter of tonight, it shall be recovered supernaturally.
Jesus laid out the mystery of feet washing in John 13:3-10. Washing of feet used to simply mean it is the one who is the lower one, the servant washing the feet of the higher one, the master. Now, Jesus was the master washing their feet. Something is wrong in this equation. Church Gist. So Peter must have thought Jesus is trying to test them to see who will be wise enough to know the correct order. So Peter reacted. Peter discovered this thing is not just a display of humility so Peter changed his tone. Jesus made it clear in that exchange that the washing of feet is not just a display of humility, it was a repackaging of all that was missing.
What is in feet washing? We are going to look at a few blessings available to us via this mystery so that our faith can be quickened to take delivery of the package within it.
1. Health and longevity.
The feet washing is one of the platforms through which Jesus perfects our health. Deuteronomy 33:24-25. Oil represents the empowerment. Let him dip his feet in oil – let his feet be empowered. When his feet are empowered, his shoes become iron and brass. Church Gist. What does that mean? Impenetrable. Nothing can get into it. Inaccessible. Luke 10:19. The empowerment of our feet is for a hurt free adventure where you cannot be hit by the enemy. Remember that the enemy is represented by a serpent. Luke 10:19.
I like you to understand the significance of the feet when it comes to dominion. When the man fell in Genesis 3 and God began to issue the judgement between man and the serpent, what did he say? “I will put an enmity between your seed and the serpent, he will bruise your heel and you will bruise the head” The heel is where? The heel is in the feet. The place of attack for the serpent is the feet. When the feet are empowered, they now in the realm of the spirit carry shoes of iron and brass. What snake can bite and its venom will pass iron or brass? Not one! So it means there is an insulation against the penetration of the venom of the serpent. Church Gist. That is what happens when our feet are treated. In the realm of the spirit, the feet washing is the wearing of shoes of iron and brass. So that while treading upon the head of the serpent it cannot bruise your heel. If you tread without the shoes of iron and brass, you become a victim of the bruise. When you tread with the shoes of iron and brass, then you are doing damage to Satan and he can do nothing to you. There is an empowerment of our feet through the mystery of feet washing. Deuteronomy 33:25. You will just keep waxing from strength to strength because you have been insulated against any satanic penetration. For somebody hearing my voice tonight, any satanic assault into any part of your body comes to an end today.
John 5:1-4. Whosever stepped.. what do you use to step? Your feet. Whoever stepped in first was made whole of whatever disease they had. The disease may be in the head, if he steps in with the feet he shall be made whole. The disease may be in the tummy, if he steps in with the feet he shall be made whole. Church Gist. I like us to see tonight the significance of our feet and why Jesus has instituted this mystery. As we step into the water no matter what the disease is, there is instant liberty from every assault of the enemy.
A woman was under constant attack. The husband died suddenly and here she was pregnant for three years. Pregnancy, no liberty. Eventually, somebody in this church met with her and said come we are having feet washing service. She said are they going to wash my stomach? My problem is not in the feet, it is this pregnancy that has refused to come out. Church Gist. She said no come, when your feet are washed, every area of your body is touched. Her feet were washed that night and that night in the Zone labour started. This woman had been pregnant for three solid years but delivered there on the spot because the feet were treated.
2. All round cleaning power.
John 13:10. Inside the mystery is the cleansing power. There are things that you have not been able to let go on your own but through the mystery of feet washing there is the institution of the cleansing power of God. One of us came for a feet washing service and his feet were washed. He used to have this unusual condition where he will eat and regurgitate the food and swallow it again. Church Gist. He had been under that torment for years but when the feet were washed he was made clean. That was the end of that affliction. I don’t know what is hard to tell people outside about in your life but as you engage that mystery whatever it is will cleanse your life.
Remember the leprosy of Namaan was cleansed in the water. He dipped himself in the River Jordan, after the seventh time he came out and his skin was like that of a child. He was made completely and perfectly whole.
3. It is our access to all our missing redemptive rights.
John 13:8. He made it known that every part that belongs to you can be enforced by this mystery. Church Gist. I don’t know what missing parts are out of the vicinity of your life but they shall be recovered speedily.
These rights include among others:
1. Supernatural victory over all powers of the enemy. (Deuteronomy 33:25, Luke 10:19).
2. Supernatural breakthrough (Habakkuk 3:17-19). There is the treatment of the feet to cause you to break through. Someone reading this, this is your hour of breakthrough. Joshua 1:3. Church Gist. Our feet are actually instruments of dominion. That is how we step into realms of breakthrough. I see your dominion practically established.
We must come to realize the potency of the mystery of feet washing. Some years ago, I was still in our church in London. We came here for a meeting and in that meeting our feet were washed and it was washed for us to step into realms of breakthrough. I got back to London, the weather was not good but my feet had been washed and I wanted to see practical dominion taking over that territory. So I got to the office from the airport, pulled my shoes and began to walk around that facility. I was praying and taking practical dominion because “wherever the soles of your feet shall step upon I give unto you”. Church Gist. I took it literally. Not the sole of my shoes, I pulled my shoes and began to walk around the place. After that there was a surge. The washing of the feet is for the release of breakthroughs. We are not religious about these things, these are instruments of power. They are practical instruments of power. From tonight I see the power working on your behalf.
What are the requirements to be a partaker of this mystery?
1. Be born again and remain so.
If you remember the man who was at the Pool of Bethesda, Jesus healed the man but Jesus gave the man a caution. John 5:14. Jesus went to look for him in the temple “Sin no more so that a worse thing than this will not come upon you.” That is what Jesus was telling him. In other words, it is important for us to know that there is a place for salvation, also for us to maintain our consecration if we are going to gain access to the potency. The man was by the water but could not get his miracle because something was hindering the flow. It is not enough for us to be by the water. We must ensure that every blockage is taken out of the way.
2. One must engage with faith for whatever is not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23. Maintain the potency of your faith. Make sure your faith is invested in order to see the mystery work on your behalf.
We have been told all through this season that these mysteries are taught to you and me so we can go and practice them by ourselves. So get back home and engage the mystery for the Empowerment of your faith. See yourself as your feet are being washed wearing the shoes of brass and iron where the enemy can no more penetrate. See yourself stepping into the Pool of Siloam where every sickness and disease is cleared out of the way. See yourself into realms of breakthrough wherever the soles of your feet touch are taken for you. So don’t wait for feet washing service conduct it by yourself. Do you know Jesus conducted the first feet washing not in a service, he conducted it in a house? So when you go come conduct it by yourself. It is an instrument of power given to you and I.
