EVERY NUMBER HAS ITS SIGNIFICANCE.
THE NUMBER ONE IS THE NUMBER OF WHOLENESS AND UNIQUENESS
THE NUMBER 3 IS THE NUMBER OF TREMENDOUS STRENGTH. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DEFEAT 3 PEOPLE WHO ARE ABSOLUTELY CONNECTED
THE NUMBER OF THE ANTI-CHRIST (666) IS THE NUMBER OF MAN (6). THE ANTI-CHRIST TRIES TO MAKE A TRINITY OUT OF MAN
NUMBER 5 IS THE NUMBER OF GRACE AND FAVOUR – YOU ACHIEVE WITHOUT SWEAT WHAT WOULD NORMALLY TAKE SEVERAL YEARS OF EFFORT
NUMBER 7 IS THE NUMBER OF PERFECTION, THE NUMBER OF BLESSEDNESS
WE HAVE ALL FALLEN INTO CALLING SUNDAY THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK BUT THE REAL 7TH DAY IS SUNDAY
THE NUMBER 7 IS SIGNIFICANT BECAUSE IT IS THE NUMBER OF BREAKTHROUGH
IF YOU WILL CRY UNTO GOD, HE CAN MAKE TODAY YOUR 7TH DAY – THE DAY THE WALL OF JERICHO IN YOUR LIFE WILL FALL

Joshua 6:3-5. When we were looking at this passage last time, we pointed out to us what will appear to be routines in life – things we do from day to day. Church Gist. That the 7th day is going to be the day the wall will fall but before the 7th day, we have to go through days 1, 2, 3 and so on till day 6. Every number has its significance. I am going to give you a brief run down of the theology of numbers:
1 – The number of God the Father. Deuteronomy 6:4. Number one is the number of wholeness. Deuteronomy 32:39; Isaiah 46:9. Church Gist. It is the number for uniqueness – there is only one like that, you don’t find another one. Genesis 17:1 – the number of self sufficiency.
2 – The number of God the Son; the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the number of intimacy. When you’re talking of husband and wife, when a man gets married and people spend a lot of time at the reception, etc and then they get home and the best man or lady don’t want to leave … Church Gist. If only they can see what the couple are saying – “get away from here” we are at that stage where 3 will be a crowd. John 10:30. It is also the number for cooperation. John 5:19. When 2 people are so alike in everything, they do everything in common.
3 – The number of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit; 3 in one. As we see it demonstrated in Matthew 3:16-17. God the Son was being baptized and as he was coming out of the water, God the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and lighted on him. God the Father spoke from Heaven to let everybody know
– this baptism, there are 3 of us in it together. Church Gist. It is also the number of tremendous strength. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. When you find 3 people who can be absolutely connected that they become like one, it is very difficult to defeat them. The Elders in Africa said, “a tripod stand is the one that you use to carry your cooking pot and your cooking pot is safe provided it is sitting on a tripod. It is the number of stability, security, unbreakable friendship.
4 – the number of pillars: the pillars particularly are the 4 corners of a house carrying the house. Four is the number of support, the number of the burden bearer. The number of the 4 corners of the world: East, West, North and South. Revelation 7:1.
5 – It is the number of grace, favour. Genesis 39:1-6, Genesis 39:20-23; Ephesians 2:4-9. Grace gives you something you don’t deserve. 1 Corinthians 15:9-10. It is the number that helps you to achieve without sweat what would normally take several years of effort. Church Gist. Genesis 29:15-30; Genesis 24:1-67. Isaac returned from a stroll with wife because of number 5 – favour, grace.
– I pray for every one of you listening to me today, may you find favour with God and men.
6. The number of man probably because man was created on the 6th day. Genesis 1:26-31; Revelation 13:17-18 tells us that the number of the Anti-Christ is going to be 666. The number of the Anti-Christ is the number of man but in his own case he makes it 666 trying to make a trinity out if man. Church Gist. He is trying to copy God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit so he said, “Man, Man, Man.” That’s what gave a bad reputation to the number 6. When 6 stands alone, it is the number of man.
7 – Joshua 6:3-5. Number 7 is the number of perfection, the number of blessedness. Genesis 2:1-3; Revelation 1:4; Revelation 3:1; Revelation 4:5; Revelation 5:6. Some of these things we would understand fully when we get to Heaven. Church Gist. These are mysteries which we can’t even discuss in a Sunday Morning because there are a lot of baby Christians listening to us.
But what is significant to you about number 7?
1. It is the number of breakthrough. 2 Kings 5:1-14.
– I pray for someone today, your breakthrough will come today!
1 Kings 18:41-45. I don’t know who I am talking to today: you have been praying, crying to God, nothing seems to be happening? Church Gist. It is the routine – the routine God has been waiting for so that finally your 7th time will come.
– May today be that day! Leviticus 25:8-10.
What has that got to do with you right now?
You know some people for one reason or the other, we have all fallen into calling Sunday the first day of the week. Well, that’s the day the Lord rose from the dead but we all know as businesses men that it is Monday we call Day One. Tuesday is day 2, Wednesday is 3 days, Thursday is 4, Friday is 5, Saturday is 6. The real 7th day is Sunday. Church Gist. The 7th day, the day God rested and blessed is here today. You are gathered together today listening to the one who said, “I am the all sufficient one,” listening to the one who can give a breakthrough to everybody and today if you will cry unto him, he can make this your 7th day the day you will cry unto him and the wall of Jericho in your life will fall.
