The Word does not only teach us, it also touches us. The teaching of the Word enlightens, the touch of the Word makes whole. John 1:1-3. Church Gist. God is in his Word; he does not only open our eyes to see light but he touches us to make us whole.
– May each one experience tonight a touch of his Word!
It is the touch of his Word that transforms. Ezekiel 2:2.
– May everyone under the sound of my voice tonight experience the touch of his Word!
Today is the last service in this awesome month that is devoted to accessing our healing heritage in redemption. The last day is everybody’s day so whatever remains to clear off your system, every issue of concern around your health shall be flushed out tonight!
Can I have you say with me, “God never lies.” Jeremiah 30:17; Isaiah 33:24. Before Jesus returns, sickness will have no place to hide! We saw that in the days of the Acts of the Apostles, “is any sick among you?” there were no healing services held in the Church Sir. Church Gist. James 5:14. That’s where God is leading us – “is there any sick among you.” But our principal access to accessing our healing, health and wholeness heritage is Faith. Luke 8:48; Matthew 9:29. All the healings in Scriptures anchored on Faith or delivers on faith.
Now watch this testimony of how this individual escaped 3 surgeries on his leg:
“I rejected the report, engaged in Kingdom mysteries, I read the entire books on faith…” Don’t get ready for battle, live ready. Build your faith so the enemy does not hold you captive. It takes faith to secure our healing, health and wholeness heritage in Christ.
A priest in one of the Churches was afflicted with a three-fold attack – high blood pressure, hypertension and dizziness; and had a prayer group that was praying for his deliverance. That lasted 17 years, no change. Church Gist. Then he went to a bookstore – according to his testimony and bought 3 books: How Faith Works by Frederick K. C. Price, Keys to Divine Healing by Kenneth E. Hagin and Keys to Divine Health that I wrote. He said, following the instructions in your book, I declared a 3-day war and immediately the 17 year old bondage on me was broken. Faith!!!
Don’t sit down there waiting for faith to jump on you. Faith comes by hearing, by reading and by the study of the Word until spiritual understanding dawns on any given subject. Romans 10:17; 1 Timothy 4:13-15. It is to everyone in this Kingdom according to his faith. Whatever is born of God overcomes the world and he overcomes by faith. 1 John 5:4. It is faith that makes his touch impact on our lives. Matthew 9:27-29. Church Gist. The touch holds no value without your faith. Mark 6:6; Habakkuk 2:4. All said and done, without faith no one can take delivery of his healing heritage in Christ. Faith has to be built – Jude 1:20; 2 Thessalonians 1:3. You grow your faith for it to be grown.
COME MEET WITH THE GREAT PHYSICIAN AND HIS GREAT PRESCRIPTIONS.
I have just given you one now. Faith is a non-negotiable requirement for anyone to realize his heritage for healing, health and wholeness. Every other strategy profits little, the one that sets free indeed is your faith in God and His Word. Bodily exercise profits little, it is faith that makes perfectly whole. 1 Timothy 4:8. Acts 3:16. Faith is it. There is so much emphasis on all kinds of things, without faith perfect soundness is impossible. Church Gist. Perfect soundness of a man who has been attacked by stroke is not possible without faith. There can be adjustments and readjustments, but perfection is only possible by faith. That is why you mustn’t toy with your faith. Satan is targeting your faith, if he can get at your faith he has gotten you. Luke 22:31-32. It is faith failure that leads to life failure.
COME MEET WITH JESUS, THE GREAT PHYSICIAN AND HIS GREAT PRESCRIPTION, that may look like jokes. Most of the time they don’t appear sensible. They never lack proof. His prescription may not appear sensible but they never lack proof. The triumph of this ministry today by grace is as triggered by faith. That seemingly intangible force turning everything around for good. People can run around the entire world but until you run to Jesus, he is the final bus stop on all health matters. Even doctors will tell you only God can do this. They say “Be praying, only God can do it.” That God is your father. He paid the price through His son Jesus. You don’t pay for any goods twice. That would be robbery. So show the oppressor your receipt. Jesus was beaten for me, true or false? Here is my receipt. By His stripes, I am healed. You can’t ‘unstripe’ Him anymore. Church Gist. Here is my receipt. When you go to a shopping mall and you collect your goods and pay the cashier, the security will ask you where is your receipt. Tell every devil standing on the gate of your life, here is my receipt. By His stripes I am healed, here is my receipt. The same day He saved my soul, He paid for my healing. Here is my receipt. Jeremiah 8:19-22. “If I were in Canada, this would not be an issue” Go there, are there not people in Canada that have these issues? They have visited the best hospitals there and it is still on them. If I were in Malaysia by now, they are specialists in these ankle bones. They move God to jealousy because of the people that live in a far country. God can’t do this kind of thing, this kind of thing needs human expertise. What a provocative insult.
They don’t know about the balm or the physician in Gilead. Jesus came and said I am that Physician that Jeremiah was talking about. I will have mercy and not sacrifice. He heals on the point of faith, your situations in life notwithstanding. He healed that man and said Go and sin no more lest a worse thing than this comes upon you. Sin brought him into that but he healed him first. Tonight is your night. When it comes to healing, he writes off the case against you to heal you first and tells you “My son, don’t try that again. Is that not good news for you? So you are walking out tonight. Church Gist. We heard the testimony of a prostitute here who was healed of HIV/AIDS. Jesus knew she was a prostitute, she brought herself into that situation but he healed her and she testified. Upon being saved, he writes off your past to restore your health. You are coming out of that situation and it is tonight. You have damaged your lungs through smoking all kinds of nonsense before you met Jesus, He writes it off to heal you and says don’t go back to smoking nonsense again or the attack this time may be deadly.
Matthew 9:12-13. What an introduction. When he came he began to manifest that mission as the Great Physician. He was teaching in the synagogues and healing all manner of sickness and diseases. All manners! Matthew 4:23. Church Gist. Virtue came out of Him and healed them all. What a Great Physician, He never referred a case. Tonight must mark the end of that torment and torture in anyone’s life.
Jesus Christ still heals and delivers today as in Bible days because he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. He still goes about healing everyone oppressed of the devil today as in Bible times. Acts 10:38. Church Gist. Following therefore the prescription of this great physician is what makes whole and dignifies the destiny of believers. Just follow what he says, believing and he restores our health.
Now let’s look at this other very simple prescription: healing wonders embedded in joy and rejoicing. Joy and rejoicing? Healing? How connected? Isaiah 55:8-9.
1. Joy and rejoicing facilitates access to the path of life – that is, revelation that heals, delivers and sets free. Church Gist. Psalm 16:11. He shows us the way out of our troubles in his presence which is facilitated by joy and rejoicing. You can’t access his presence without joy and rejoicing. Job 33:21-25.
2. Joy and rejoicing paves the way to possessing our possession which includes our heritage of Healing, health and wholeness. All of our heritage in Christ is transmitted through the Word. Isaiah 12:3. Church Gist. It takes joy to draw from the Word. Depressed people can’t draw from the Word. Satan depresses people to disqualify them for access. You can’t access the truth in a depressed situation. Acts 20:32; 2 Peter 1:3.
3. Furthermore, joy and rejoicing commits God to open our prison doors: caged in, hedged in, but joy and rejoicing will bring God in and will shatter the gates holding us bound. Church Gist. Isaiah 54:1-3. Joy shatters the gates of hell holding us bound and in prison, opens up our destiny. Acts 16:25-26.
– Every imprisoned soul under the sound of my voice as you break forth into the realm of joy and rejoicing, singing and celebrating God, you’re out of it finally!
We saw in the story of Hannah that God will always visit the joyful for a turnaround. It takes joy to invoke God’s visitation. 1 Samuel 1:18-20; 1 Samuel 2:21. Joy and rejoicing will always provoke divine visitation for our desired turnaround. Every mountain clears the way at the presence of the Lord including sickness and disease. Church Gist. Psalm 114:1-7. Every trouble trembles at his presence and you cheaply access and sustain his presence by joy and rejoicing. Very simple intangible forces but engendering great impact because God indwells the praises of his people.
While joy creates the atmosphere for the manifest presence of God, depression on the other side creates the atmosphere for the power of darkness to torment and afflict.
– Tonight, I cast out every spirit of depression that may be holding anyone bound right now and be loosed in the name of Jesus!
It’s with joy we access his presence. Psalm 100:4. We dwell in that presence with thanksgiving and praise – an expression of joy and rejoicing. James 5:13. It is joy on the inside that leads to sweet songs on the outside. Singing without joy in the inside is making noise in the ears of God; it doesn’t fly. James 5:13. Singing becomes impactful with joy in the heart. Church Gist. Without joy in the heart, singing is sour. While joy brings us into his presence, it multiplies the joy to us right there. 1 Peter 1:8; Matthew 8:12. God is light; so when you get depressed, God takes off, he backs out and then darkness comes in. It’s not that darkness is forceful; absence of light is what brings in darkness. When God backs out of a man’s life, darkness will take over. What’s in darkness? Weeping and gnashing of teeth, plagues, afflictions, all kinds. The power of darkness is in the absence of light. Joy and rejoicing brings in God; lack of it checks out God and when light checks out, darkness comes back. That’s why you find depressed people are full of suicidal thoughts because the devil has come in to reign there; he has come to steal, kill and destroy. Church Gist. When he gets a man or woman depressed, he’s already gotten an inroad into that life to destroy.
– in the precious name of Jesus, every hold of the force of depression on any life is declared broken!
Psalm 16:11. Am I in his presence? You can test how genuinely joyful am I? It’s a biblical proof of his presence. People that carry his presence are just joyful. Philippians 4:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:16; Ephesians 4:27. You cannot be oppressed until you are first depressed. Depression is a demonstration of hopelessness but the case of the Redeemed can never be hopeless as long as he remains joined to the living God. Church Gist. Ecclesiastes 9:4. Remember that he has begotten us to a living hope – hope that is ever alive, hope that secures the future. You remain joined to him, that’s all! Job 14:7-9. No matter the state of anyone in the Kingdom, as long as you remain connected to the living God, there is hope. Your case can never be hopeless. Don’t let any devil torment your mind.
How could somebody with a fantastic vision be so hated by his brethren and sold into slavery? Because God rescued him from being killed and from slavery for doing the right found himself in prison and yet God still fulfilled his word? All of those ordeals was 13 years. He got into slavery at 17, got into prison in the process, came out of it all at 30 to reign in a strange land where he is not qualified to vote, where they didn’t have to vote for him, God just elected him. Church Gist. 13 years only and he reigned for 80 years. Relax! Your case is not closed! You’re coming out of that situation in grand styles. If it is sickness and disease, you are coming out tonight!
While it is not unspiritual to be challenged, it’s unscriptural and anti-covenant to be defeated. Job was grievously challenged and he came out gloriously. You’re coming out! Church Gist. He was a hyper spiritual man, God himself commended him. In all his troubles he remained joined to the living God. Job 13:15; Job 2:9. (Singing) Get off behind me satan, my future is bright! Get off my back, I’m coming out of this!
Benefits of joy and rejoicing
1. It engenders healing, health and wholeness. Proverbs 17:22; Proverbs 18:14. Church Gist. Until one’s spirit is broken within, his body cannot be broken without. Proverbs 4:23.
2. It engenders supernatural strength.
Nehemiah 8:10. Strength is a requirement for exploits. Daniel 11:32. Exploits are for the joyful not for the depressed. Church Gist. You can’t break records with depression, at best you end up mediocre. The strength that entitles believers for exploits requires joy and rejoicing.
3. It enhances access to revelation.
We saw it in Paul. Philippians 1:15-18. They were attacking him, they were preaching against him and he said, Ye! I will rejoice. You saw how many mysteries were unveiled through this man. Ephesians 3:1-5. Church Gist. Amazing mysteries that are still ruling the Church of Christ today. Unusual access to revelation. He wrote about half of the New Testament.
Seven fundamental sources of joy.
1. Be born again.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit and until one is born again, He cannot manifest the fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23.
2. Be filled with the Holy Ghost
The Holy Ghost is the oil of joy that rescues from mourning. The oil of joy is what destroys the siege of depression. Isaiah 61:1-3. The Bible also calls it the oil of gladness. Isaiah 45:7. Church Gist. When the Holy Ghost came down they were like drunk men. Intoxicating joy, that is the meaning. Ephesians 5:13. The Holy Ghost intoxicates like wine. One is limited in the School of joy and rejoicing without the Holy Ghost coming on. Romans 14:17.
3. Keep feeding on God’s Word
Particularly through teaching priests that teach the truth of God’s Word in your areas of concern. It will stir joy. Anytime the Word enters you in any given area where the devil is trying to depress you, joy is stirred up. Church Gist. Jeremiah 15:16. He stirs joy. There are teaching priests that come in to blast the siege of depression around our lives. Like we saw in 2 Chronicles 15:3-7. The teaching of the Word in your areas of concern will stir joy that will lead to your breakthrough.
4. Continue to see your future through the pages of scriptures.
Continue to see your future through the Word. God never lies. The vision of all is contained in His Word. Isaiah 29:11-12. Keep seeing your future through the scriptures. As a young boy, I saw my royalty in redemption. Revelation 5:10. I saw that as 16 so I saw royalty ahead of me no matter what looked like slavery around me. Hebrews 12:2. Begin to see your future through the pages of scriptures. It will keep joy alive in your system. You have heard me say several times that I am not surprised that we are where we are, thank God for bringing us there but I would have been surprised if we were not there. Church Gist. Why? I saw it coming from His Word. So the challenges of moments could not bother me, I already saw that if I keep doing what God says to do, He will set me on high above all nations of the earth. I was below all nations of the earth when He showed me but I saw that there was a way out to be above all nations and I said it to the Church. I said God just told me this morning that there is a place for me on top if I am interested and I said I am. He said then keep doing what I tell you to do. How can you be depressed when you can see yourself going on top of the world? What kind of nonsense talk? It is sensible discovery. I found it. Whether I am now above the world or below the world, you can tell. There is no single week on this ground where ministers don’t come in from other nations. You can’t see a future and be depressed and everybody’s future is in this book.
5. Be committed to serving God.
You always return with joy. Serving God stimulates joy. Luke 10:1-2, 17. Church Gist. You always return with joy serving God in truth and in verity. You always return with joy.
6. Embrace the virtue of patience.
Romans 4:17-20. Hebrews 6:12.
7. Engage a lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise.
These are principal sources of joy in scriptures.
Beware of the enemies of joy.
1. Don’t be offended in God.
It never ends well for any well. Luke 17:1. Matthew 11:6. Don’t be offended in God who will help you.
2. Stop questioning or challenging God.
Job 34:10-12,30-32. God is never to blame for our situations, stop challenging God. Church Gist. Stop defending yourself against God. “I have done all that you said and they said you are not a liar, so what is happening to me?” Okay, be questioning me.
3. Beware of murmuring and complaining, it never solves any problem.
1 Corinthians 10:10. The reason notwithstanding, murmuring and complaining will turn God’s back on anyone. Numbers 11:1. May everything murmuring and complaining in everyone’s life be flushed out forever. Church Gist. If help is what you need from God, stop murmuring, stop complaining. It is the only way to get it.
4. Comparing ourselves with others will depress anyone.
It is one of the strategies of the devil. Psalm 37:1-4. Church Gist. Don’t look at evildoers and wish that you have what they have. May you not have their trouble.
5. Keeping ungodly company is an enemy of joy.
Proverbs 13:20. “Nothing is working in this country. I know in your Church they don’t say that. People are just pretending, nothing is working for you”. You agree. Because you carried yourself there. What are you doing with an unbeliever? There is complaining on the streets and it is contagious. If you hang around the ungodly, before you know what it is you are already anointed for complaints. You complain about everything. See my house, see my car. Is this the kind of car I should be riding? Were you born with a car? People just get their destinies dangled and dashed by not minding the company they keep. Church Gist. Psalm 1:1-3. After I saw that scripture I prayed all night for God to disconnect me from every ungodly counsel in my life. To disconnect me from every ungodly person that can dash my destiny. I have only one life to live. They are all lying, they are all complaining. They are lying and they are making progress. God does not lead the crooked. It is your turn. You better jealously guard your destiny. Anyone that will make you talk against the truth, you better disconnect. Friendship is not by force, it is by choice.
These are enemies of joy and rejoicing. You are free tonight. Why joy and rejoicing? It is for my healing, health and wholeness. It is for my uncheckered access to light. Revelation is what stirs a revolution in anyone’s life. You arise and shine for your light has come and then your story changes dramatically until one becomes a thousand and another becomes a strong nation. Church Gist. Don’t let the devil rob you of your place in destiny. Joy is a function of the Holy Ghost at work in you. As you access more and more of His revelation, you find more and more of joy and then life keeps going on. Any day you don’t laugh is a bad day. Keep your laughter on my friend. He that sits in heaven shall laugh. Where are you seated? What do they do there? They laugh. Your laughter no man shall take away.
Anybody can be happy. Happiness is circumstantial but only the redeemed can be truly joyful. Luke 10:21. Only the redeemed can rejoice from within. Happiness is superficial and circumstantial. True joy is only for the redeemed. Church Gist. Somebody has just built a house now and he gets depressed as they open the house. He looks happy, he is smiling while they are opening the house but after they are gone: What are all these things? Why is my life so miserable? Except you are born again, genuine joy is not attainable.
