AFRICA GENERALLY IS KNOWN AS THE DARK CONTINENT, NOT NECESSARILY BECAUSE OF OUR SKIN COLOUR BUT THE DARKNESS OF demonic ACTIVITIES.

The whole of the year 2023 God gave us a Word that ‘LIGHT HAS COME’ and ‘THE GLORY IS RISEN.’ That Word we have taken it all around the world, we have taken this light and this glory around our nation, Nigeria. Around the world: Benin Republic, Ghana, Tanzania, United States of America and now we are here in Zimbabwe. The same thing we have spoken about all over the world is the same thing we are speaking about in Zimbabwe. It is titled LlGHT HAS COME – HANDLING THE FORCE OF DARKNESS. Again, this message is global, not unique to a nation as it were but a general message that we have taken around the world. Church Gist. Because God is concerned about the state of the earth today. Our theme is Isaiah 60:1-3. If darkness covers the earth and gross darkness covers the people, then we must know what to do with this dark situation of our earth today. It is very clear in scriptures that because darkness covers the earth and gross darkness covers the people God wants to release His light and His glory to tackle the darkness of the earth. That is why light has come and the glory is risen. Light has come and the glory is risen!
As darkness covers the nations of the earth, darkness covers the regions of the earth, darkness covers families of the earth, darkness covers individual lives, the answer to the darkness of the earth is the same answer to the darkness of individual lives. Before we go on, it is important to identify what darkness represents. So we can understand what to do with the light, how to handle the darkness with the light. Church Gist. What does the darkness represent? As I preach on this subject, I like you to look at your life, you and your family, look at the situation as it is on the earth and find out whether that situation is the same as it is with your life.
What does the darkness represent?
1. Darkness represents demonic activities.
Because Satan the devil is the prince of darkness, he is in charge of the darkness of the earth. If you look at the situation of the whole of the earth today, we have never been in a season of demonic activities like it is on the face of the earth today. Church Gist. Africa generally is known as the dark continent, not necessarily because of our skin colour but the darkness of demonic activities, the darkness of witchcraft activities going on. By the apostolic and prophetic mantle, I declare that darkness shall give way in your life, darkness shall give way in your family, darkness shall give way in your destiny,
2. Darkness represents directionlessness.
When darkness is in place, it is hard for you to find your way. When you are in a room of very thick darkness, you find it difficult to find your way. When a life is directionless, when a life is dwelling in confusion, you don’t understand the steps to take, you don’t understand the moves to make. Church Gist. When the Bible says “Darkness covers the earth” it says that the world is filled with confusion today. The world is filled with directionlessness today. I know that direction is coming for somebody. I believe that confusion is been arrested. I believe that illumination is been provided for someone.
3. Darkness represents depression
There was no time on the face of the earth when we had so much depression. Joy is low, excitement is bankrupt. As a pastor, I receive text messages all the time. People everywhere from all over the world, some are contemplating suicide, some don’t know what to do with their lives because of the darkness and gloominess of the earth. Church Gist. If your life is filled with that depression, I declare today that the light of God’s celebration is coming your way. Out of this conference, depression is leaving your way. That yoke shall be broken.
4. Darkness represents dread (fear).
Everybody knows that if you are in a dark side of the villages in Africa and there is no light, you may even be afraid of your own shadow. Darkness is a season of fear, it is a season of uncertainty, it is a season of agitation. Church Gist. There are so many alive today but they live with the fear of death, the fear of the unknown, the fear of the future, diverse fear.
Psalm 89:15. What is the answer to that? The presence of the Lord that produces light. Church Gist. That was why while I was playing that instrument and while we were worshipping, the feelable, palpable presence of God was everywhere here and that woman said she saw a dark woman left her body and the affliction of her leg got healed…and that woman that came with a crutch, that had accident since April, she couldn’t jump when I said jump, but suddenly the power of God came on her, the presence, and she vomited something and she had to drop her crutch and walked free.
– Anything you do to generate God’s presence is going to produce light and that light is going to attack darkness. Church Gist. Your lifestyle and worship, your communion with God, that causes that feelable, tangible presence of God is going to produce light and that light is going to have impact.
I am sure you have heard this testimony before. Church Gist. One sister in our ministry was in a vehicle traveling from one part of the country to another and they experienced a kidnapping attack. A bunch of people were kidnapped together. That girl is the cousin of my assistant here who’s standing there…and she was in the middle of the kidnappers and she sat and put her face down in between her legs awaiting her fate with others and she began to sing one of the songs that God gave me. Church Gist. It is a song of divine presence, “you’re always there to help me.” Oh! You all know it. You’re always there to help, you’re always there to help me, even when no one else was there, you’re always there for me. Even when I can’t feel you, even when I cannot trace you, I still have faith in your Word that you’re always there for me 🎶🎵🎼
…she sang that song and when she was through singing the song, she lifted up her eyes and was no more there. The Holy Ghost had relocated her from the midst of the kidnappers to the highway sitting beside a military checkpoint. Church Gist. And the military people saw her “what’s happening, where are you from?” She told her story. They took care of her for that day and gave her fare to Lagos (put her in a vehicle.) That was how she escaped destruction, she escaped the agenda of the enemy by the power of the presence of God.
“The light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.” I announce to you today “the light of God’s presence is rescuing somebody from the midst of darkness right now.” Church Gist. The presence of God brings light.
2. The Word of God. I’m talking about insight in the Word. Church Gist. Psalms 119:130. That insight that only the Word gives, delivers you from the darkness of the enemy. Isaiah 9:8. The Word into one man can become a light of a generation…can become a light of a nation. Church Gist. All you need to do is to let God open your eyes to one verse of Scripture and darkness dies in that area – in that particular area, the darkness dies in that area.
One man said “everytime he slept, it was nightmares.” If he closes his eyes…nightmares until he found the Word that said “He giveth His beloved sleep” and he said to God, you can’t give me sleep that has nightmares. Church Gist. I received the sleep from you not the sleep of nightmares and that was the end of the affliction. Light! The Word!
3. Authoritative decrees. So these are different forces that will tackle the force of darkness. Church Gist. The first one is the force of God’s presence. The 2nd is the force of the Word. The 3rd is the force of authoritative, prophetic decrees. Genesis 1:1-3. So the light that is found in the word, speak it into the situation, decree it into the situation, announce it to the situation, sound it to the situation. Church Gist. Authoritative decree! I cannot be sick. By His stripes I am healed. He bore my infirmities, I cannot die before my time. I cannot die like others died. Well, I announce to somebody “you’ll fulfill your days, you cannot die like others in your family died.” Somebody say Amen.
4. The force of prayer. Church Gist. As we pray, there’s a dimension of prayer that provokes light. In Acts 12:5, Peter was kept in prison waiting to be beheaded like James was beheaded but the Church began to pray for Peter and by verse 7, an angel of the Lord appeared into the prison following the prayer and light shone in the prison and the chain broke. Church Gist. They prayed and an angel of light arrived and the light shone in the prison and the chains broke at the force of prayer. Luke 9:29. Jesus Christ prayed until light exploded in His eyes – on His face on the mountain of transfiguration. As He prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered. Matthew said “His face became like the sun” at the altar of prayer. Beloveth brothers and sisters, the darkness of your father’s house will bow to the power of your prayer. The darkness of your community, the darkness of our generation will bow to the force of our prayers.
5. Light comes by the force of fasting or rather, we can destroy darkness by the force of fasting – the light that fasting brings. Isaiah 58:6 and 8. Church Gist. The season of fasting is the season of the break forth of light and the break forth of light is the disappearance of darkness.
– Every dark force around your family shall bow to the power of your fasting!
There are some pastors here, ministers here and some individuals here at the end of this program you might be led into a 3 day fast, one day fast, one week breaking in the evening kind of fast, God is going to use you to handle certain darkness around your life, destiny, family, domain in the name of Jesus! I am sure you are aware that your nation is one of the greatest nations of the Earth. Church Gist. I am sure you are aware that there are gifts here that is heavier than what any other country has already and I believe that the light is coming upon your life and this country shall bless the nations of the Earth and the light comes upon this land in a higher dimension to become a blessing to the nations of the Earth. You believe that, shout the loudest Amen.
6. The force of consecration: uprightness, whiteness of garment. The Bible said concerning Jesus in Luke 9:29, “his garment was white and glittering.” If the garment is white, it will emit light. Church Gist. If your garment is white in the realm of the Spirit, it will emit light and that light will kill the darkness. When you’re coming, demons are crying out.
About a week ago, we dedicated a school complex in one of our locations. As our car was driving to the venue, an alcoholic who had been a drunkard for 30 something years – 37 years, he had lost everything to alcohol. He was sitting at the alcoholic joint where our vehicle passed. He came under conviction, alcohol lost taste on the spot. Church Gist. We just drove past, he ran from the alcoholic joint and ran into the meeting. The power of God came upon him, he was rolling under power and suddenly the demons of addiction left him. He stood on the altar for the first time in 37 years, no desire for alcohol, the taste died, the power broke. It was the car that just passed but the devil saw the light in the car. Am I speaking to someone here tonight?
Beloved brothers and sisters, everything that is a source of compromise – abandon it. Church Gist. Everything that defiles your conscience, lifestyle, bothering on morality, bothering on character, financial matters, issues of truth that jeopardizes your character, if you need light and if you need darkness to flee, let your garment be white so it can emit light.
– I announce to somebody here today, every bondage on your life, every yoke of oppression, every yoke of affliction, I declare it is broken!
