This weekend is bad news for the devil. It is bad news for agents of darkness, it is bad news for forces of witchcraft, it is bad news for forces of hell. If you believe that say a loud Amen.
Isaiah 60:1-3. The Lord bless His Word in the name of Jesus Christ. Very quickly here tonight, the subject is ‘Light Has Come.’ To South Africa, light has come, to Johannesburg light has come, to Pretoria light has come, to Durban light has come, to Cape Town, light has come. From the North, the South, the East and the West, I declare light has come.
The year 2023 God gave us a prophetic theme that “Light Has Come and the Glory is Risen.” Church Gist. That theme we have run with it throughout the year from one corner of Nigeria to another. From Benin Republic to Ghana, to Tanzania, to Zimbabwe, to United Kingdom, to the United States of America. We’ve seen God shine His light and destroyed the powers of hell.
Our objective tonight is to understand the assignment of light. Light has come to do what?
1. To dissolve darkness. “The darkness covered the earth and gross darkness the people but the Lord shall arise upon you.” John 1:5. Church Gist. Light has come to confront the darkness of wickedness, the darkness of evil, the darkness of the occult, the darkness of dark powers, the darkness of the underworld, the darkness of ungodliness, the darkness of anything that’s not God. The light has come to dissolve the darkness.
2. Light has come to destroy ignorance, to impart understanding. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. Church Gist. We live in a world that is wallowing in ignorance – ignorance of who God is, ignorance of who we are in God, ignorance of how we are meant to live our lives in this world. We have an epidemic of ignorance in our generation. Light has come. God has decided that His light will come in order to dissolve and destroy the power of ignorance because ignorance is the strength of bondage. Hosea 4:6. Ignorance is the strength of bondage. Everywhere you see someone who’s bound, there is something he needs to know that he does not know because “you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” and “if the Son of man has made you free, you’re free indeed.”
I announce here tonight by this light that has come into South Africa, every darkness of hell that is around your life, around your family, around your destiny, I declare the darkness shall dissolve in this season in the name that is above every name.
Every spell of ignorance that has sponsored bondage in your life, I declare the spell is broken in the name of Jesus. If you are saying Amen, say a loud Amen.
Light came to destroy ignorance so that you are not bound.
3. Light has come to uncover mysteries, hidden secrets. Church Gist. The strength of mystery is darkness. Under the cover of darkness there are diverse mysteries. The secret (mystery) was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Daniel 2:18-20…”the light is with thee and with God there is no secret.”
There are many of us here tonight that have a lot of mysteries around our lives, around our destinies. Church Gist. “Lord why did I rise and crash, Lord why is this not working right in my life, Lord I have kept myself yet why am I not getting married, Lord why is it that I do all the things the Bible said I should do yet there is something around my life that’s still not working?” There is a mystery that must be uncovered by the light. Am I speaking to someone here? Say a loud Amen.
In Zimbabwe this morning, a man showed me a picture (I don’t know if one of our men here have the picture). He said he had a dream in the night where two animals just bit his chest one-two just like that and then they disappeared…and he began to have very funny, terrible sensation on that chest. Only God knew where it would have led to. Maybe it was an impartation of a lung cancer or something but he just began to feel terrible. The man and his wife traveled all the way from Malawi to Nigeria. Church Gist. The wife is the General Secretary of the Malawi Assemblies of God (talking of the husband of the General Secretary) and they came all the way to Nigeria and then hands were laid upon him and the mystery was unraveled. Overnight, he saw that the fire of God began to move around his chest and then he woke up in the morning with two holes on the chest. He thought it was a mosquito bite. “Lord, what’s this?” “Bam” first one, a living organism came out of the chest -one. Next one came out (two of them). He had two bites in the night and two demonic objects that were alive came out of his chest in the day.
The doctor may be looking for something not knowing that there were mysteries hiding there. Church Gist. Am I communicating here at all?
A young boy was diagnosed of cancer of the jaw. Church Gist. He came to our Church and the jaw was so terrible. They were going to take off the mandibular bone and then take a bone graft from the thigh and do all manner of surgeries. This young boy decided to sit down and went through the system of our training just gradually and he kept receiving light. All of a sudden one night, he saw a demonic being carrying the kind of jaw he was carrying stepped out of his body after a service. He woke up in the morning and (what was) that cancer burst, deflated, dried up. He went to the National hospital in Abuja – Nigeria. Doctors found no trace of cancer, no need for surgery, no need for chemotherapy, no need for anything because the mystery was unraveled. Am I communicating at all?
One young girl said “Lord, why is it that I lack favour all the time, why do I lack favour all the time? Lord, I need favour.” Church Gist. Then she saw a revelation in the night after she undertook a fast and you know fasting causes light to break forth. Isaiah 58:6,8. In the course of the fast, she saw herself on the line (on a queue.) They were giving gifts to people and once it was her turn to receive her gift, somebody jumped into the line looking exactly like her and collected the gift and took off. It was the spirit of impersonation, it was a spirit of diversion. That demonic spirit that was always camouflaging to be her, always stealing her favour in the realm of the spirit was uncovered by light. Am I speaking to somebody here?
I don’t know what is a mystery around your life but overnight tonight as you sleep…before you wake up in the morning, the mystery shall be uncovered. Church Gist. If you are saying Amen, say a louder Amen!
The purpose of the light is to uncover mysteries, hidden secrets. Anything that made your life miserable is a mystery. Mysteries are responsible for miseries. Church Gist. When a man’s life, a man’s labour is miserable, a mystery would be behind it. Anything that makes things mysterious has a mystery behind – a mystery that must be unveiled and must be dissolved. Am I speaking to anybody here?
I announce to you today that mystery shall be unraveled and it shall be dissolved. Shout the loudest Amen!
4. Light is to deliver vision and direction. Give the Lord a praise. The purpose of light is so that a person can have vision for life and direction for life. Of what use is life without direction? What is the use of sleep without purpose? What is the use of waking up in the morning without purpose? Are you hearing what I am saying here today? Direction! We have a plague of directionlessness in our generation today. I don’t know if it is here in South Africa but it’s all over the world where young men, young women…they don’t know what life is all about, they don’t know what to do what their lives. They just wake up and live life at random, live life by trial and error, become criminals because they don’t know what to do with their lives. Somebody gives them a vision, they carry the vision. Somebody tells them this is what to do, they began to do it without knowing why they are doing it. Church Gist. Somebody says this is how to dress, they began to dress like that without knowing why that person is dressing like that because we have a generation of people who have no vision.
The Bible said “the light of the body is the eye, if your eye is single, your body will be full of light.” So if your body is full of light, your eye will be single. Church Gist. Do you understand what I’m talking about? The light from God will cause you to be a man of purpose, a woman of purpose. You know what you are doing with your life. You know where you are heading with your life. You are not living your life according to the dictates of society. You are not trying to look for who to copy. It is you that people want to copy.
You are not going to say “this is how they are living in South Africa, this is how all the young men are living in Johannesburg, this is how they are living in Durban, let me live like that.” No! Church Gist. You are a man like Daniel who purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the portion of the King’s meat because he has a reason for living. He had a purpose. Am I communicating?
If you don’t know where you are going, you will not like where you will end because the road you follow determines the place you end. Church Gist. You don’t live life to chance otherwise you will end like chance. Vision determines acceleration. The clearer you see, the faster you move.
Vision determines destination. Of what use is a football match where there is no goal post? Do you know soccer? There’s no goal post and people are playing…what’s the use? You will just weary yourself for nothing. By the time you dribble and dribble and it is time to score, no goal post then you continue – that’s how life without a goal is. There is not a goal. Church Gist. You don’t go without a goal. No gold without a goal. You win nothing without a goal. Is God speaking to someone here?
You need to make up your mind. “Lord I need light.” When you have vision and you have direction, you can become a role model, you can become a pacesetter, you can become a frontliner, you can become a world shaker, you can be a history maker, you can become a frontliner. Church Gist. Your vision determines your association. You can choose your friends if they have similarity of vision because the only person that is qualified for your association is the person going your direction. That is why we need light from Heaven.
Lord who am I? Lord why am I? Lord what do you want me to do with my life?…out of the Word, out of His presence.
South Africa Light has come. Young men, young children, young boys, young girls…your light has come. Church Gist. The glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
I prophesy vision, I prophesy direction. I prophesy the plague of aimlessness is over. The plague of visionlessness is over.
I’ll talk further tomorrow. Church Gist. But what is that light? It is God Himself. 1 John 1:5, Psalm 36:9, Psalm 89:15. Camp with God to acquire light.
Value the presence of God to connect light. Let God’s presence impress you more than human presence. Church Gist. When Moses stayed in the presence of God, when he came down from that mountain, his face shone until the people couldn’t look at his face for the glory of that light. That is what happens to the man who hibernates in the presence of God.
You’ll get the light of revelation, the light of insight, the light of vision, the light of direction. Church Gist. When you have spent enough time in His presence and you have gotten enough light from His presence, yourself becomes light because Moses did not just get light, the Bible said his face shone like the sun. Moses had to veil his face. They couldn’t look straight into the face of Moses. Yourself becomes light. That was what happened to John the Baptist. He was a burning and a shining light because he was the man that came from God. John 5:35. You come to the point where you didn’t just connect His light, you become a generational light.
People look at you and catch vision, people look at you and get direction. Church Gist. We’ll talk about that tomorrow.
PRAYER: Lord pull me to yourself, pull me in intimacy, pull me to yourself.
