– Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “LIVING IN DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING (3)” || Testimonies and Thanksgiving Sunday Service – 1st Service || Glory Dome, Abuja.
I welcome everyone here to this service this morning in Jesus’ precious name. “LIVING IN DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING (3)”. 3 John 1:2. Our objective in the study had remained; understanding what it takes to live in Divine healing and health. Church Gist. As we round off this subject this Sunday being the last Sunday of the month of October. We began to see that it’s God’s plan for His people to live in health and we saw at least four of the ways to live in order to live in health last Sunday. First of all, we talked about:
1. Living in uprightness. Living in a conscience that is clear is key to living in health.
2. Living in God’s presence. The presence of God carries the life of God.
3. Living in love and forgiveness. That imparted so many people’s lives because I got a lot of messages from people how that imparted their lives to walk in health.
4. Living in joy. The joy of the Lord definitely is our strength. A merry heart doeth good like medicine.
Today we shall proceed further;
5. Living in the Word of God.
Proverbs 4:20-22. I’ll give an example this morning of someone who lived in the Word and lived in health. Church Gist. That example is Moses. Moses received the Word from the Lord and released the same Word to the children of Israel. Moses wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, first 5 books of the Bible. He was a custodian of the Word, he received the Word, the Word passed through him, processed him and he passed the same Word to the children of Israel. Church Gist. The outcome of that was that Moses lived to be 120 years in strength. Deuteronomy 34:7. Why? One of the reasons among many others was that Moses was a custodian of the Word of God.
What does the Word of God do to your health?
5a. The Word transmits health and healing to the recipient and custodian of that Word. Church Gist. The Word you read, the Word you study and meditate on, the Word you listen to like this on a continuous, consistent basis, releases an injection of health, healing and wholeness.
At the beginning of this Church, there was what we called ‘Word Therapy’. You know medically, we have chemotherapy, radiotherapy and all manner of therapies – immunotherapy and so on and so forth. Church Gist. We called it Word therapy where we gather Scriptures in particular areas where a person has challenges and then we place them on such Word, study, read, declare and listen to the messages and it produced and it’s still producing very drastic results. So, the Word transmits health and healing and wholeness to the recipients.
5b. The Word transmits the life of God, that is sickless and boundless. John 6:63. The Word of God transmits the very life of God into the recipients of the same.
– while I speak right now, everyone who came in here with any trace of affliction, I declare it is dissolved in the name of Jesus!
– as I speak right now, I see the very life of God transmitted into somebody here!
– shout the loudest Amen.
So, we don’t just study the Word of God for religious purposes or to satisfy your conscience that you have read the Bible today, you study and read the Word to be well. Church Gist. What they call prophylaxis, you’re not studying the Word to treat an active sickness, you’ll study the Word to prevent the sickness from staying. When somebody has malaria, they prescribe chloroquine and all the other thing that are antimalarials but for women that are pregnant and sicklers and so forth that will have challenge if malaria comes, that will be dangerous to them, they prevent the malaria from coming by giving them a prophylactic treatment, daraprim, once weekly or thereabout so that the malaria doesn’t come at all. Church Gist. That is what the Word of God does for you. It can help you to collapse the active affliction and also help you to prevent it from arriving.
– I prophesy to somebody here today, in the name that is above every name, every affliction in your body now, I declare their dissolution right now in the name of Jesus!
So, maintain a steady diet of the Word for your health and strength routinely and dutifully.
6. Living with vision on purpose.
Living a life of vision that translates into the life of purpose enhances life, it enhances health. If you’re not visionless and purposeless, you can’t be wasted before your time. Proverbs 29:18. Church Gist. Truth is that people of purpose and vision normally live to fulfill their days. Joseph was a man who lived by vision. In Genesis 37:5,7, we saw how Joseph dreamt dreams and he told his brethren, even though they hated him, he dreamt further dreams. Church Gist. The outcome of that was that he held on to his dreams even while Joseph was in the prison, he held on to his vision, he believed in a future to such a point that he kept a cloth in the prison that he could wear to the palace because he knew that one day, he would go to the palace. Genesis 41:14. Church Gist. The outcome of living with vision and living on purpose was that Joseph literally lived sickless. Genesis 50:26.
Example 2, Daniel. Daniel 1:8. A man of purpose. As Daniel held on to purpose, Daniel 6:10, we see how Daniel would pray 3 times a day because he knew he was in Babylon for a purpose. What was the outcome of that? Church Gist. Daniel lived sickless, died in health. In fact, we didn’t see the report of Daniel’s death, all we saw was his longevity. Daniel 1:21. You know Nebuchadnezzar was succeeded by Belshazzar, his son. Belshazzar, the son of Nebuchadnezzar was overthrown by Darius the Midian; Darius the Midian was killed by Cyrus the Persian and inherited the Kingdom. These administrations lasted for 71 years, Daniel remained. That was not the total length of his life, that was the length of his public service. People retire after they have served for 35-36 years, some who have tried, 40 something years in the judiciary, this guy was 71 years in the palace. Church Gist. Soldier come, soldier go, barrack no dey empty. It didn’t matter which president came to power, they couldn’t sack Daniel. I just told you now that Cyrus killed Darius and Darius overthrew Belshazzar, Belshazzar inherited from Nebuchadnezzar, opposing kings, yet all of them employed him. Am I communicating at all? I believe that this is the potency of vision. Church Gist. To live a life without vision is to become an easy victim for elimination. That is, the devil just push you and pushes you aside but that will never be your portion.

What is the impact of vision on health?
6a. Vision or purpose activates the forces of life and antagonizes the forces of death. Church Gist. There’s a life force that is triggered by the life of vision. Proverbs 29:18.
One woman close and dear to us was on oxygen, I think she had ischemic heart disease, heart attack. Professor of Cardiology who was seeing her and she was almost on the way. Church Gist. I stood by her bedside and I said to her, “I think it’s only a few of your children that have married so far, what of this one? This one has not married, this other one has not married”. I think I mentioned 3 or 4, “they haven’t married, you haven’t seen their children, you need to see their children, they need to marry”. She said, “it’s true, I will see their children, they have to marry and I have to be there”. Church Gist. Now, as little as that was, that was not even evangelism vision yet, that was not kingdom vision yet, that is, “this daughter and son haven’t married, you need to see them marry and have children. How do you feel to have them marry when you’re gone? Their mother is not at their wedding”. “That’s true”. She was off oxygen under 24 hours. Church Gist. She lives till today, all the children have married, all those children have children. Do you understand what I’m talking about? Applied insight, that is called revelation. When you can carry the Word and apply it, you put something in front of your life. Church Gist. The most potent one is the Kingdom assignment, put it ahead of yourself and let it collapse the agenda of the devil.

That was the end of it. Bounced back to life and is alive and well ever since. I came across something on the man called Zig Ziglar, a Christian man who is also a motivational speaker. Church Gist. He told the story of how octogenarians, people who have lived 80 years and above in America, they gathered a group of them and asked them what is the secret of their life. Church Gist. Some of them talked about the sense of humour, that is, they’re happy, they make people laugh and so on, that is the joy we talked about last week. But one of them, they put him on a television set for the interview, he kept on wasting the people’s time. First of all, he came with a flower pot or something for the interview on the stage. Church Gist. The people were just, “this interview is costing us money, we have paid air time, tell us the secret of your life”. He kept on arranging the flower, towards the end of the interview when the time was almost up, you know what he told them? He said, “look at that flower, about this time next year, it will bloom and I’ll have to watch it bloom”. Church Gist. Flower is keeping him alive. Just the vision of seeing how this would be.
If you have nothing to live for, you may have no life to live at all. You know people commit suicide when they no longer see any reason to be alive. Church Gist. I’m preaching now, I’m preaching in the second service, I’ll be preaching at the crusade in Makurdi at the IBB square this evening, I’ll be doing midnight prayer tonight, 4 times and my strength is more than those who are sitting to listen. Church Gist. There are those who are more tired from listening and I’ll go to that shortly. Place something ahead of you for which you are on earth.
Young man was battling with his life the other day, I said, “how old are you?” He said, “I’m 17 years old”. “Alright, let’s say you’ll be living for over 80 years, if God gives you another 65 years, what will you do with it? Go and think over it and write it down and bring it let’s talk about”. Eyes opened. Don’t think death, think life. Don’t think sickness, think future. Until you see beyond the immediate, you cannot get towards the ultimate. Church Gist. There may be a diagnosis they handed to you, don’t think it, think future.

Vision activates the forces of life. If this is the only thing you’ll hear today – don’t think death, think life. Don’t think sickness, think future. Don’t think sickness, think progress. Church Gist. Don’t think for the moment, think for the future. For whatever is around you now is transient, it’s destined to come to pass.
6b. Vision, that implies purpose, is a department of faith and faith is key to life. Having vision at all, “this is what I will do with my life in 10 – 20year. This is the reason why I’m alive and on earth” that mindset itself is faith. Hebrews 11:27. Church Gist. Seeing what is invisible is called vision and it’s called here, faith. Seeing the things that have not yet happened, the things you expect to happen for you positively.
From the beginning of our ministry, when there was nothing, I kept telling the people, “people will come from all over the world, this place will be a fire distribution centre, people will come here, carry fire and saturate to the ends of the earth”. Church Gist. By the time we came out of the National Stadium (Abuja) in 2007, August, September and then October, I told the people, “we will build our stadium, the difference is that our own will have cover and rain will not beat us when we are worshiping” because rain fell there at the October version and it drizzled a bit in the September version. Church Gist. That came to pass. Now, we are thinking of other things now. One thing about vision is that the visioner must be alive to see the vision. You must be there to see the vision. Church Gist. So, vision is a department of faith and faith is key to life. Habakkuk 2:4. When I say life, it is health, vitality and longevity.
7. Living in Action.
Ecclesiastes 10:18. Idleness causes decadence. That is what that Bible is saying. You know the Bible says our body is a temple, so this physical body is a house. Church Gist. How many of us know that when a house is uninhabited, on its own, it begins to develop problem? It can even begin to crack, wall gecko everywhere because there’s decadence of idleness. How many of you know that when a car is parked, all manner of problems will crop up? Battery ran down, tyre became flat, everything is running down. Now, I was talking with somebody the other day, it is worse with aircraft. The man told me a story of an aeroplane that was bought 3 months, only 3 months old but was parked, when they came now to make it work, before it became normal, it took about 6 months. Church Gist. Aeroplane is not like car where you say, “let me manage this”, they don’t manage it because there’s no mechanic in the air. So, everything must work. They have a checklist, you tick it, 30-something or more things that is correct before you take it to fly. He said it took almost 6 months, brand new aircraft, only problem is that it was parked. Church Gist. That is how it is with the human body. Idleness is foundation for decadence.
Those who are more diligent with life are far more energetic than those who are idle. Church Gist. I’m going to tell you about Abraham as our example here. Abraham at the age of 75 left his father’s house on a journey to where he didn’t know. Genesis 12:1-5. At the age of 90 plus, he engaged the army of about 4 to 5 nations with his private army, he beat them. 90-something years old man fighting ground battle in the army like an infantry man. Genesis 14:14-15. Church Gist. At the age of almost 120 years, Genesis 22:3-5, Abraham undertook a 3 days journey, 72 hours, climbing and walking up hills. When he reached the place where he was to sacrifice Isaac, he tied the boy himself, a young boy of almost 17 to 18 years old, bound him hand and foot, carried him and laid him on the altar. Church Gist. How many people are able to carry a 12-year old boy not to talk of a 17 year old? A 120 years old man, what energy. No wonder that man died almost practically sickless. Genesis 25:7.

How does diligence affect your health? It is very clear
7a. Activity unlocks vitality. Life is unlocked when man is active. Ecclesiastes 10:18. Inactivity facilitates infirmity. Church Gist. Where dynamism is lost, degradation is inevitable. Where a man refuses to be dynamic, things begin to degenerate. For example, it is very clear that physical exercise assists a lot in health. There’s a measurable drop in blood pressure apart from degenerating the fat, lipids and so on, there’s a measurable drop in blood pressure with routine exercise. That is physical activity. Then wake up in the morning with what to do keeps you in health. Church Gist. Do you see that people who retire from government service, I apologize to many of them right here, many of those who retire and refuse to place anything in front of them, they retire and decide to actually retire and not refire, if you see them within one year, you’ll be shocked at some of them. Church Gist. Two years, they become like 10 years older than his age because of the lack of activity that almost begin to provoke aging on time. Is God speaking to anybody here at all? If you don’t have work to do, give yourself what to do. Church Gist. Have a reason to wake up in the morning and hit the road. Assign your life.
Some of us, we have 24 hours almost wishing that it will be 48 hours. When you have time and you don’t have what to do with that time, it’s a challenge. Church Gist. When time becomes a burden, life practically becomes a challenge. I told my wife and my children the other day, I said, if I have a 6-hour flight to do, I will schedule that 6 hours with schedule what to do with the 6 hours. Church Gist. The last time we came from South Africa, it was a 6 and half hours flight, my wife asked me, “did you finish your schedule?” I said, “the schedule continues after the flight ended” because there were more things to do after the flight had ended. I have fed myself, I’ve studied, I’ve listened and also prepared the message for that service of over 20 pages. Church Gist. I have done all manner of things and I have more things to do after the flight had ended. Do you know, there are some who will remain in that flight and be tired until tiredness tire them?

When I go atimes with my children, they will not know they’re my children. “Sir, how are you? Who are these people?” “This is my first daughter and my second daughter” “really?” Some don’t believe. Church Gist. One day, I was in Warri airport and a whiteman came to me and we were talking, I think he’s in ministry or something, “so how many years are you in ministry now?” I said, “about 21 years”. He looked at me, “are you saying that you’re 21 years old?” That was then. Church Gist. I said, “no, I said I’ve been in ministry for about 21 years”. “Oh, because you look like a 21 year old”.

How many of you know that if you lie on the bed too much, back will even pain you? All manner of pains will start coming. Church Gist. Do you know that doctors advise people to be ambulant, stand up from your bed, walk on and out? There are some situations that you have disseminated intravascular coagulopathy and some embolism that are formed. When you lie down too much and the blood is stagnant, the clotting can happen in some of these conditions and then shoot from there, shoot to the heart or shoot to the brain. Church Gist. Do you understand what I’m talking about now? Even in the airplane, they say, after you sit a while, stand up and just move your leg and ensure that you contract the calf muscles so that blood can flow from there. Life is designed to be active, not stagnant, not dormant. Church Gist. Go to work, take a walk, read some things, just ensure that your life is fully engaged. When it’s time to rest, rest but don’t over rest so you don’t rust. Engage your mind, heart, hands, body, system and your life. It will ensure that every part of your system is working, blood is flowing well.
