-Heavenly Father, speak to us this morning, let each one have a specific word from You to change our stories and make us better in Jesus’ name.
PRAISE FOR THE MIRACULOUS. This month is our month of ‘The Holy Spirit, my helper’. How many are warming up for the week of Spiritual Empowerment? Glory to God. PRAISE FOR THE MIRACULOUS – PART 2. Church Gist. This is the eleventh month. In Matthew 20:1-9, Jesus gave a story of a man who went to hire people at the third hour, sixth hour, ninth hour and then in verse nine (Matthew 20:9) precisely, he hired some persons at the eleventh hour but he paid every one of them the same amount – Those who got the third hour, those who got the sixth hour, ninth hour. And this is the eleventh month – Some of you, you agreed, third hour you were not hired, sixth hour, sixth month, June, nothing to show. September, nothing to show but all of a sudden, this month (The eleventh month)!
Say with me: There will be something to show! I desire an eleventh-hour miracle.
In case nothing happened since the year started, that Scripture will be fulfilled in someone who says: Amen! Church Gist. That means whatever anybody has gotten, you, who is also getting your own this month, you will get the same as all of them have gotten.
-May eleventh-hour miracle answer to someone who says Amen in the name of Jesus.
We are praising God because God is a miracle-working God.
What is praise?
Praise is acknowledging God for His greatness. God is fearful in praise, doing wonders. Exodus 15:11. Miracles are proof that God exists and is real and remains real forever. Only God can do miracles, anything outside God is abracadabra. Psalms 72:18. Miracles are done by God, alone any other person outside God who does certain miracles is a lie. He said: ‘Only Him doeth wonders’. Psalms 72:18. Church Gist. And in times like this, we stir Him up. You don’t wait for miracles, you provoke miracles, you can create an atmosphere for the miraculous. And one of the ways to create the atmosphere of the miraculous is to praise God. By praise, you stir up God into action. Psalms 22:3. How many will want to create an atmosphere for miracles? God is everywhere but does not manifest everywhere. If you want God to manifest, then create the atmosphere for Him to manifest, that atmosphere is praise.
We will be looking at miracles delivered by praise from Scriptures. Miracles delivered by praise, what are the miracles? How can praise deliver miracles? In the First Service, I took five of them. I said, praise can bring about restoration. Church Gist. Talking about Lazarus, that was number one and then I said praise can give us victory, that was number two. 2 Chronicles 20. Jehoshaphat! I said in number three, praise can guarantee fruitfulness. And the number four, praise clears obstacles. All these I said in the First Service and then number five, I said, praise provokes supernatural increase.
And number six in this Service, praise guarantees open doors. What are the miracles praise can do? It can open doors. Acts 16:25-26. Paul and Silas were in prison and then all of a sudden the Bible said they were chained. You are not chained, you are not stuck, you are free. You can imagine people praising God in chains – They were in chains. Church Gist. ‘And at midnight’ – Midnight connotes when you are at your own crossroad, somebody’s crossroad may be now, maybe no way to pay your rent, the Landlord has given you notice to quit, school fees are piling up, you are not even sure of the next meal, that’s your own midnight. Some, midnight, you don’t know what next will happen. And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed. If you look at ‘Prayed’ (In Acts 16:25), there is a comma. Sometimes, when you pray and pray and pray and nothing is working, stop, switch over (To praise). ‘And sang praises unto God and the prisoners heard them’. Acts 16:25. That kind of praise was not funfair, for prisoners to hear them it was serious business.
Tell your neighbour: Until you give praise a serious approach, don’t expect glorious results.
-Acts 16:26. Today, all foundations of prison houses will be shaken for you to be free.
And ‘immediately’ not after, all the doors were what? Opened!
-Every door shut against Salvation Ministries, shut against your life will be opened by this Praise in the name of Jesus!
‘And everyone’s bands were loosed’.
-I don’t know where you have been chained. Today, that chain will be broken!
Just praise God! Can God be stirred up and chains remain on you? All the chains will be broken. Doors of nations that were shut, doors of blessings that were shut, doors of marriages, name any door that was shut against you, will be opened today if you say Amen to that. Church Gist. If you say Amen, it will be done! How many are expecting doors to be opened? Are you expecting doors to be opened?
Say with me: They will be opened.
Number 7, praise repels the spirit of heaviness. Do you know heaviness is a spirit? Depression is a spirit! Life without God can be depressing. If you are struggling with depression, fear and anxiety, learn to make praise a lifestyle. Those who praise God hardly get depressed. ‘Oh! I’m depressed, it’s because you don’t praise God. When you focus on God and spend quality time in praising God from your heart, He will take away your worries, doubts, stress and fill you with inner peace. Church Gist. Don’t think those who praise God don’t have challenges but they don’t look at challenges, they look at the Word. Isaiah 61:3. It (Heaviness) is a spirit. You just stay like this, all of a sudden you just look ‘Gboom’. They will be laughing all of a sudden, they switch like a time bomb. They can be laughing with you, all of a sudden you see… When people with that spirit come around you, the atmosphere will change. When they enter your house, the house will be thick. You say: ‘How are you’? They say: ‘For what’?
-I command that spirit of heaviness to leave you right now.
It’s a demonic spirit, no matter what you do, they will not laugh. (Illustration). You say: ‘Why are you crying’? You say: ‘What happened? We were just laughing two minutes ago’? He says: ‘I no know oo’. There are people who are… they carry… It is a satanic spirit. You cannot be praiseful and have that spirit. Praiseful people don’t have it! Check everybody who is always depressed; they don’t ever praise God. Check every Christian, even Christians who say: ‘I don’t know, I’m just depressed’, they don’t praise God. Church Gist. The two (Depression and praise) don’t go together. satan just comes over them, they do ‘Gboooom’, the atmosphere they stay in, you can’t be there, they just frown. ‘I just like to frown, me, I don’t like to laugh’, it’s a satanic spirit. Frowning is not of God, no!! ‘That’s how I like to keep my face’, it’s satanic. He that sitteth in Heavens shall laugh. Psalms 2:4. Any face that does not put a smile is a satanic, demonic ungodly face. Look at your Bible, the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3. Heaviness! Just comes on you like that: ‘Gbooom’. No!
-May you be out of that spirit.
Look! You see? In the Western World… Africa does not have that problem too much, it is a few people. In the Western World, this is the biggest problem – Depression. Depression is a big problem in the other parts of the world. Somebody can just send notes: ‘I don’t want to be your friend’ and the man dies. (Laughing). The man will just die! ‘She said she doesn’t want to be my friend’. You say: Is that why you want to die’? He says: ‘Yes, yes’! Church Gist. They told me of a broadcaster, a known broadcaster who died because his girlfriend said she would not follow him again. He committed suicide in France, you all know the story. Known broadcaster, when they told me, I said: ‘That man na yeye man oo’. Very… (Laughing). He is a yeye, yeye man; die for woman, he is a useless man. Very, very useless! (Laughing). When they told me, I know the Broadcaster, they said: ‘Ah! That he died in France’. He died in? France. Because a woman said she does not want to… Hmm! I said: ‘The man yeye oo’. How can a man die because of woman? Here, no problem! If the… Do you know (Laughing) Africa does not have that kind of…
Don’t give flower to a woman when she has birthday, she can die. She can say: ‘Do you know they did not give me any flower? For my birthday, you forgot to give me flower’. Flower! Carry flower to an African girl (Laughing), she go say: ‘So, on my birthday, all the things wey you see na flower’? Flower! You no fit buy me car, na flower you bring here. Abeg! Carry your flower commot there’. But Oyibo own, buy am motor, no bring flower, she will say: ‘Do you know he did not meet me with flower’? No flower for my birthday! She will be sad for one year oo. Church Gist. In fact, don’t carry flower to an African girl oo. As you bring the flower now, she go say: ‘Excuse me! So all the things wey you see for market na this… (Laughing). ‘We have not eaten, you dey bring flower, na flower we go chop’? To tell you she does not have taste for flower. ‘Is it flower we go eat here? Abeg carry your flower and go’! But Oyibo? Hmm! Oyibo, anything you give am, you must put flower oo. They even sell flowers, when you go to stores there, you see: ‘Birthday flower’!! Here you will not see birthday flower oo. (Laughing). They carry it! And you will wrap it oo, very well! Eeeeh! What? Spirit of heaviness! It’s a dangerous spirit!
-You will be free from it!
Number 8, praise brings healing. Praise brings healing. In case you are sick, expect to be healed. Matthew 8:1-3. So, those who worshipped God, got healed. So, the moment you say: ‘Lord! I praise You’! He will touch you. How many know that Jesus will touch you? You will be healed right now! Church Gist. I said: ‘Somebody will be healed right now’! The moment the Leper worshipped him, leprosy left. Matthew 29:9,12 and 14. The Bible said: ‘We are the Temple of the Living God’. The moment they praised Him, He (Jesus) went to the Temple. And Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
-As you praise Him today, the same Jesus will go into your Temple (Body), flog out that cancer out of your body! Flog out that sickness out of your body! If you believe it let your Amen confirm it. Church Gist. Matthew 21:14. Today, God will heal every sick in the name of Jesus. No matter the sickness, no matter the disease facing you, you will be healed in the name of Jesus.
They are 8 things so in case you are not in the First Service, just know the 8 of them. You have three in this Service. Is that true?
Now, how to trigger your miracles through praise? How do you trigger it? You don’t wait for it, you just trigger it to happen. How to trigger your miracles through what? Praise!
A. Have a good relationship with God.
Have a personal relationship with God. Psalms 22:3. Church Gist. Until you have a relationship with God, your praise will be mere noise, you must be born again. You can’t be a sinner and expect God to answer you, no!
B. Expect miracles while you praise.
Expecting miracles always is a vital key to receiving God’s miracles. Proverbs 23:18.
C. Praise with genuineness of heart.
Matthew 15:8. It is our heartfelt praise that provokes the fearful presence of God to manifest and that will guarantee fearful blessings. Don’t be praising God and then you are thinking of something that is irrelevant. You know you can be in Church and not be in touch. You can be seated on a seat and be thinking of food you left. You say: ‘Erm’! Praise! Praise! Let’s praise! And you are dancing oo. You say: ‘Hei! Hope my wife prepared this stew very well’. Are you getting what I am saying now’? (Laughing). Have you not knelt down to pray and then your heart began to wander? It was wandering till you just realized that you were praying. Church Gist. Then when they knock door you say: ‘Oh! So na prayer I dey pray so’? You forgot what you were praying and you were busy punching calculator inside the prayer, true? Some people are in Church but they are not in touch. While they are singing, they are singing oo – 🎶 Praise! Hallelujah oo 🎶. ‘Hei! They never pay me this contract’. Hallelujah oo (Illustration). Then, somebody will then tap him, he will say: ‘Oh! O boy! We dey Church’? No! Be here! Refuse to be absent-minded. Don’t be wandering from one place to… jumping from tree to tree while in Church, make sure your heart is here. Your heart is what? Here. Focus your heart on the praise.
D. Engage faith in praise.
Don’t praise and doubt. Will it happen? Will it not happen? Are you sure this thing, if I praise God, is it going to work? Hebrews 11:6. Praise is an expression of faith. You have not seen it but you have heard, you are sure that victory will be given even when you have not seen the victory, true? As you praise God, you are saying: ‘God will do it’. James 2:26. Church Gist. You are standing on the integrity of God’s Word and you are saying: ‘God! I know You will make it happen. I don’t doubt what You are about to do. Say: ‘I hear’! Are you getting what I’m talking about? You don’t wait for things to complete before you praise (God), you praise for Him to make things happen. Praise is what will make things happen that are not happening. If you want God to do what you have not… just praise Him. Praise will make things what? Happen.
Now, God said to us to go and build the Cathedral and we had… The money then was too plenty, was too what? It was too plenty, o boy the money was too plenty, we are talking about billions. And then we went there (To the Site) to praise God. Church Gist. From the day we praised God, I don’t know how God has supplied till today, I can’t understand it. Are you hearing me now? That is a Multi-billion Project. If it is your offering we can’t finish that Project, it’s praise that God… because there is no… Everything there! It is not to build house that is the problem, it is the finishing (of the) house. Those of you who have built, to put cement work is no work. You can put a block ‘warararara’, but finish it! It is the finishing that is work. They said: ‘It is not to go to Lagos that is the problem, it is to stay in Lagos’. (Laughing). Are you hearing me now? So God has been so good! Praise God and you will see God in action. Just stir Him up, then you will see that God is too big for that challenge. God has been supplying since till today. Till what? Till today. He is a humourous God, He is a wonderful God! You need faith! You need what? Faith. Hebrews 11:6. You have not seen it but you don’t doubt it.
I did something with our Accountant, only me and him knew. I called him, I said: ‘O boy! We are going to do something, push the tithe to this figure’. He has never seen me like that, there is a way I behave. I said: ‘Increase the tithe, pay the tithe this Church has not gotten’. He paid. By this past month, income did like this: ‘Boooom’! In a hard time! Say: ‘Faith’! Faith does not wait to see, faith provokes God to make it happen. Church Gist. You don’t say: ‘Oh! God! When You do am I go praise You’! That is Elementary School, that’s what? Elementary School. If you want to go to the A-levels, you say: ‘God! I’m praising you because you will make it happen’! Abraham did not see Isaac when he praised, he praised to see Isaac! How many understand it? Say: ‘Faith’! Faith…
Now, ‘Father, if You do this I will praise You’, that’s for babies. ‘Father, I’m praising you because I know You will do it’! Did Jesus praise God after Lazarus woke up or before Lazarus (woke up)? ‘Father, if You give me job, I go praise You’, that’s for children. ‘Lord! I’m praising You because by this praise I will get a miracle job’. How many understand? That’s faith! Church Gist. That’s what? Faith! ‘Father, if You can make me build house, I will praise You’! ‘No! I’m praising You because I know I will build house’! Praise is making God to do what you are expecting. How many understand me? Say: ‘Faith’! We did not praise God when we have money, we praised Him for the money to come; to build that Cathedral. Hei! Look! People build oo but when you enter there, you go see money oo, you will see money! Money dey do like this: ‘Humhum’. Every part of that building is money, just one truss is some people’s Cathedral. One truss! One pillar is some people’s estate.
An Ikwerre Chief went there, he is a big Chief from Ikwerre, he went under, you know we have underground there, how many of you have gone there? There is a basement. He saw the pillars, he said: ‘Papa, this na Monorail oo’. (Laughing). Ikwerre Traditional Ruler! He said: ‘Papa, na Monorail be this oo’. I said: ‘Ha! He said: ‘This kind pillar, na the whole house na’! Church Gist. One pillar is a three-storey building, one pillar there. Are you hearing me? So just calculate the pillars, it is estates you will build there. But we didn’t do it because we had money, we did it because God said so. And then God provided the money, now we have in surplus. Are you getting what I’m saying now? ‘If You can give me money, I go praise You’. Praise Him for Him to do (it). Say: ‘I hear’! How many will do it by faith?
-Today, your faith will produce!
We provoked the Hand of God and brought Him into the scene to make things happen.
-Our praise will make God today settle our affairs.
E. Praise with joy.
Isaiah 12:3. Praise that will touch the heart of God is praise done with a cheerful heart. Don’t be praising and then you look: ‘Gbidim’. Praise with what? Joy. A man was trying to write letter to his family member, he said: ‘Dear, Dola! I’m very joy’ (Laughing). I’m very what? Joy. ‘I’m very joy’! So make sure you praise God with what? Joy. He said: ‘Dear, Dola! I’m very joy’. (Laughing). So make sure ‘you are very joy’. Those Chokhmah International Academy children, they will say: ‘Mummy, what kind of English is that’? Church Gist. These days children, they will ask you questions, they will say: ‘Daddy! What kind of English is that’? But the man that was… He was very happy and excited so he was trying to write letter to his sister. He said: ‘Dear Dola! I am very joy. Go to you, go to Rita Emeka, tell them’ (Laughing). The man was from Ogu in Bolo Local Government Area (Rivers State, Nigeria). He said: ‘Go to you, go to Rita Emeka tell them, two ‘day’ I follow yam come, I paid’ (Laughing). He was saying: ‘Buy yam’, he was trying to translate it in his own Language (Speaking a dialect) that means: ‘Buy yam in two days time, I will pay’. So he took his Language, he said: Two ‘day’, I follow yam come, I pay (Laughing). So he was very, very joy.
Make sure in Service you are very, very what? Joy. (Laughing). Don’t be praising and then you now be thinking as if na you carry the whole problems of the world. My friend, Jesus carried our problems, just praise Him. You are not the one who carried all the loads on your head, are you hearing me now? Somebody was in Church, refused to dance, everything they do, the person refused to dance then the other member tapped the person. ‘Why you no dance’? Church Gist. He said: ‘If you know my problem’. He said: ‘Ah! You hold problem? Let me tell you my own (Laughing). By the time the person started, he said: ‘Ehee’. He got up. Life story! He said: ‘Ah! You get all these problems? Life story! We are not dancing because we don’t have challenges, we are dancing because we want God to change our challenges to testimonies.
-May your praise today with joy produce testimonies.
F. Your praise must be demonstrated.
Psalms 149:3. Dancing is a body movement. He didn’t say: ‘Let them praise Him in standing, He didn’t say let them praise Him in looking at others dancing, He said: ‘Let them praise Him in the dance’. So if you are not dancing you are not praising. Now, a man that is considered till today as the most influential king to ever lived on the earth, his name is called ‘King David’. No king on earth till today is as powerful and was as powerful as King David. He was the wealthiest, most influential, the only mortal man that Jesus was referred to and the Bible referred to (Him – Jesus) as: ‘The Son of David’. That man in 2 Samuel 6:14-15. Look at the Bible and let’s close with it: ‘And David danced’! Hehehe! How much wey you get? How much? David was so wealthy. 2 Samuel 6:14-15. Shout hallelujah!
Please, he said: ‘I will dance like David danced’! Don’t stand and be posing if you don’t want to decompose. Some of you when you come to Church you are too big. ‘I don’t wanna dance you know? I don’t like this kind of dancing. I just want to be in Church and just feel good, but I don’t wanna dance. Church Gist. Oh my God’! Instead of dancing you just do like this (Illustration). For God, na em you dey do like this? (Illustration). ‘If that Pan-Cake hold your face! Have you seen anybody with face cancer, skin cancer who do like this? My friend, that you are well, dance oo! It’s the dancing that will make the world… When you celebrate God, the world will celebrate you.
Please drop all those your small small pride. If you are a Professor, are you a Professor of God? If you are a Pastor, are you the Pastor of God? Eh! You are Pastor of people not Pastor of God. You are old, are you Mama of God? You say: ‘You know my age, you know? With my age, I no go dance, are you Papa of God? Anybody here who is Papa of God? Based on your age now with your gray hair, you are now Papa of God? You are still a child of God. And you know? Children don’t care. You say: ‘Junior! Chocolate! Dance’! He will do like this: (Dance), you say: two (Chocolates) he will increase (the dance). You say I’m going to give you three (Chocolates), he will dance more. You say: ‘The more you dance, the more I give you chocolates’. That is how you should be, like a baby and that is when God will decorate you.
-Every problem in your life will drop today.
Make praise a lifestyle and see God settle you always.
