-Lord! In this Second Service, speak to us through Your Word; bless us as we hear Your Word in Jesus’ mighty name!
I will be taking a charge for 3 to 4 minutes and then we hear God’s Word. This one is not the Message for today. This is just a charge for every one of us. ‘Compassion’ is the Charge. The entire world is hurting, people are hungry, people are despondent. It will take compassion to preserve lives. As Christians, we must be compassionate. Church Gist. The hallmark of Christianity is not just you getting things, it is you caring for others. He said: ‘Ye are My disciples if you love one another’. Jesus came and throughout His Ministry, everywhere He went, the first thing you will hear: ‘… And compassion moved Him’. Matthew 14:14. He was moved with compassion to heal the sick, He was moved with compassion to feed the hungry. It is an outstanding quality every one of us must possess. In Mark 1:40-42, the Bible says He was moved with compassion towards the Leper and He healed him.
Compassion makes all the difference in the life of a Christian. Jude 1:22. Let me ask you a question: ‘When last did you ask for somebody you have not seen in Church’? You will find out that half of us, if not 90 percent of us have not done that, all we do is about ourselves. Christianity is not about yourself, it’s about others. Jesus cared for people without selecting between the Rich and the Needy. Many people can care for the Rich, they don’t care for the Needy. Church Gist. Somebody has money, they will say: ‘That brother has not come to Church’ but the one that has nothing to offer, they will never remember, but every man is a potential great man because the one who has nothing today can become greater tomorrow. Please let us form the habit of caring for one another. So right after the Service, all Service Group Heads; members, look for those who you have not seen in your service groups, Homecells look for those you have not seen, if it means visiting, visit them. I don’t mean copying notes, visit them! Call them on the phone, find out what is happening, it will go a long way.
Something happened, I told the Pastors – There is an elderly woman in this Church who lost her husband. The husband is not a member, he is in another Church. So I was quickened by the Holy Ghost and I called her. The joy in the Woman’s heart was something else, she said: ‘Papa, you remembered to call me? So my father you remembered to call me’? It takes Christianity! I can’t preach what I don’t practice. I was just quickened, I said: ‘This Woman lost her husband, they said so’! Church Gist. The Man is not a member of this Church, he is in another Church. Are you getting what I’m saying now? But she is a member and very dedicated. So I called her, I said: ‘Hope you are okay’? The Lord strengthens you’! That’s Christianity! ‘If him like, em come Church, if him no like, make em no come Church’! That’s not Christianity! Look! Don’t say: ‘I like to be alone’, you will one day need people. With all your money, you will be surprised you need somebody to put thread through your needle, you will have the money and nobody will be there to pay.
Life story! In a community, a man does not go for anybody’s function, he says he is alone, so when his mother died, they said he should bury his mother alone with his money – The whole village said he should bury her alone. All the heavyweights came with him; nobody from the village attended the burial, they said since he does not believe in anybody and he was not a Churchman to say that okay Church people would follow him, it’s only him. Church Gist. So the whole people came and they said: ‘Ah! Your villagers’? They said let him alone do the wakekeep, play the instrument, bury his mother, dig the grave since he does not believe in other people. No matter how rich, you need others. If the eye says every other person is not important, that is, he will know the ear is needed for hearing (Laughing). I’m sure somebody will change your lifestyle.
Well, have you learned something? How many of you during the First Sunday invited somebody? You see? The rest, themselves! God will show you mercy!
Say with me: Lord! I’m very selfish! But today, let this selfishness die, I want to be like You, Amen!
We are still in the month of ‘Holy Spirit, my helper’. And today we will be looking at EXPERIENCING HIS POWER AND GLORY – PART 2. I pray the Holy Ghost will breathe upon His Word in Jesus’ mighty name! We are redeemed to experience the Power of God. No great destiny can be realized without the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was known as the Son of Joseph, the Carpenter until He was empowered by the Holy Spirit. Church Gist. He commanded transgenerational impact for three and half years and we are beneficiaries of it today. There is a price to pay if you must be empowered, nobody can be empowered without paying the price. They call Him the Son of the Carpenter but after He was empowered, nobody referred to Jesus as a carpenter. Your identity changes the day you are empowered, are you hearing me?
In this Service, we will be looking at three dimensions the Holy Spirit guarantees power and glory. There are three dimensions with which you generate power by the Holy Ghost, that’s what I mean.
1. Love dimension.
1 Corinthians 2:9.
-The World will see you at the next marvel in the name of Jesus!
Mark 12:30-31. Many think that love is fun. Now, hear me, in 1 John 4:8b, it says: ‘God is love’. God is not any other thing but God is love. When you walk in love, you walk in God and when you walk in God you exercise power and glory without sweat. 1 John 4:16b. You know why? Love facilitates divine nature which makes you to be filled with all the fullness of God. When a man walks in love, he carries God bodily. Church Gist. Oh my God! Now listen carefully. Ephesians 3:17-19. If you walk in love; where you sit, God sits. When you move, God moves. Are you getting me, Sir? Glory be to God! When you walk in love you carry God bodily, people that walk in love don’t struggle to manifest God. Say: ‘I hear’! Are you hearing me? Glory to God. You will become a divine personality in human form. Now hear this and hear me well, love is not theoretical but practical. 1 John 3:18. ‘I love you’ is fake if it is not demonstrated. We must have passion for God and compassion for people.
You can’t say you love God and you don’t love what He loves. If you truly love God, the redemption of the souls of men and women is the epitome of God’s expression of love. John 3:16. The epitome of His love is expressed in soul-winning. Until you are a consistent soul winner, your love for God is fake. Jesus was speaking to Peter in John 21:15-17, He said: ‘Peter, lovest thou Me’? He (Peter) said: ‘Yes! I love Thee’! He (Jesus) said: ‘Feed My lamb’! He (Jesus) said: ‘Do you love Me’? He (Peter) said: ‘Of course, You know I love You’, ‘Feed My sheep’. You must have a passion for souls if you say you love God. Say: ‘I hear you’. Mark 16:15-20. Church Gist. Signs follow those who are on the go for Christ. Gospel bearers are power commanders. You want to command power? You must be on the go for the Gospel. Luke 14:21-23. That means every time you see Church, seats not occupied, something should worry you because no seat is permitted to be empty in the Church. You come to Church, you see empty seats! Empty seats! Your heart should bubble and say: ‘No! This is not God’s plan for His Kingdom’. Are you hearing me, Sir? How many of you love God? It’s a lie! Big lie! When last did you win soul? How can you say you love God? Which kind of worker are you? How can you be deceiving yourself? When last did you win soul? You can’t say that you love God, that’s fake!
The hallmark of love for God is to win souls. You don’t win souls and you say you love God? Which kind of fake thing is that? Inside the House of God, you are deceiving yourself too, lifting your hand, no nah! You just fall your hand down and let God know that you are a truthful person. Some of you will just raise your hand, you have not won souls since this year. Church Gist. Okay, look back! January, February, this is November, tell me how many souls through you are in Church? Some of you not one, some of you even for the past 5 years. Every time you come to Church, ‘Father, in the name of Jesus! Miracle, miracle’! That is not Christianity, Christianity is not about material things. I’m sure you will change your lifestyle! You want power? Do you want power? There must be a love dimension. Your heart should be panting after what? Souls, as a proof of your love.
2. Faith dimension.
If you want to walk in glory and power, faith! There is what the Bible calls the Spirit of Faith. It is a spiritual virtue for power and glory. 2 Corinthians 4:13. There is a spirit of faith. Jude 1:3. Church Gist. The Spirit of Faith empowers you to believe the unbelievable, speak the unspeakable, think the unthinkable, declare the undeclarable and deliver the impossible. That’s the Spirit of Faith! You say some things that even you, will say: ‘How did I say this thing’?
-May that grace come upon someone right now at the sound of my voice.
Matthew 17:20. The Spirit of Faith empowers you to believe all things written in God’s Word, you don’t doubt. You don’t what? Doubt. Mark 9:23. Now listen, the Holy Spirit enhances your capacity to believe. When you operate in the Spirit of Faith, you walk in glory and power. There are some things I talk, even people in this Church shake, true? Church Gist. Long ago! One day, I just got up, I said: ‘Listen! This can’t happen’. Even people in the Church said: ‘Sir, don’t talk like that’! ‘Shut up’! The Spirit of Faith will make you declare some things that people will pinch you and say: ‘Don’t say so’! You walk in power and glory! They don’t mimic it oo, it comes.
-Today, be baptized afresh with it.
Jesus looked at Herod and said: ‘Who is that Fox’! You think that’s normal? That’s not normal and that’s not ‘boneface’, that’s Spirit of Faith. You may appear gentle but you are loaded in the Spirit. Are you getting me now? Where there is nothing written in this Book (The Bible) you will ever doubt, as far as it is in this Book you don’t doubt it. Church Gist. Look, without (the) Spirit of Faith, the Cathedral will not be built. I’m telling you, you can’t… if it’s savings you won’t build that place, hope you know that. You will be afraid to build because you will be calculating by engineering senses and your quantity surveyor senses. ‘If we have 2.3 billion, 10.6 billion, 21 point this billion’. You will calculate, your head will pain you but the Spirit of Faith makes you take giant steps that are unbelievable. Are you getting me?
This Church was not full in the First Service when I came up and I said we were going to run the Second Service. Those who were in this Church will tell you, the Church was… We were running our Second Service, I said: ‘No, we are going to run four services, so be it’. And when I declared it, all of them became filled. Listen, look! When we were running one Church here, you know most of you are coming now. If you come by 5:00, there is a queue here, 5 am, queue here. Church Gist. We used to run the First Service – 6 am. By 5 am, people are jammed at the door. When we open Church, windows used to be open; people used to jump from (the) window to enter Church – ‘Who is who’, not that some… because you can’t enter from the door, you will jump from the window to get seats. People used to occupy seats for evening service from 10 am. If you come by 6:30, you will never get seats in this Hall. Say: ‘Faith’! It makes you declare some things that even you will say: ‘Hey’! Anything God says in this Book (The Bible) you don’t doubt it, that’s the Spirit of Faith.
Now, in Acts 14:3, they were speaking what? Boldly. Not ‘bonefacely’, boldly. It quenches all the fiery darts of the wicked. Ephesians 5:16. The love dimension! (Laughing). Number one is what? Love dimension! It makes you, you don’t struggle for things to happen. Say: ‘I hear’! You carry the fullness of God. All these small, small bitterness, leave them. Somebody shares testimony, it pinches you! Somebody says: ‘I bought car’, you say: ‘You go die with the car’! No! That’s not Christianity! Church Gist. Be excited at people’s progress, rejoice with those who are going up! Somebody says: ‘I got married’, say: ‘Thank God’! Don’t say: ‘Even those who no marry sef, they no dey survive’? No! Why are you angry with the person who gets married? Dem force you? Will you just say: ‘I thank God for you’! ‘I just bought a car’, say: ‘Thank God’! Don’t say: ‘Haa, even those who no buy car, they no be children of God’? So the person’s car now is paining you! No! That’s not Christianity! Rejoice with everybody! That’s Christianity! Many people don’t rejoice with people oo, don’t mind, even in Church. The person is sharing testimony, he is saying: ‘This one! Shey, if God go bless somebody, na this thief e go bless’! Okay, somebody is a thief and he is blessed, you that is God’s child… (Laughing).
Life story! Somebody walked to me and said: ‘You know those Churches are growing because they are using ‘means’, I said: ‘My friend, you are failing, that’s why you are talking like that’, he said: ‘Why’? I said: ‘How can somebody use the devil and gather crowd? And I will use God (and) not gather crowd? I said: ‘No man with the devil will gather the crowd that God will gather when I start’. He said: ‘Eeeh’! I said: ‘Yes! That someone will use charm and crowd will come, me I will use God and crowd will not come’? Abeg forgot all those… I said: ‘Sir, you are failing’! I said: ‘It’s your failure that is making you give that excuse’. ‘You see? The reason why all these Churches are big is because they are not using God’. Church Gist. I said: ‘It is a lie’! There is no witch doctor in this World that will gather crowd that Jesus will gather. Say: ‘I hear’! Are you getting me now’? Which concert in the World can gather the crowd that Adeboye gathers? No concert! Christian gatherings are the highest gatherings in the World. Which concert will you do in this Town, with all humility that will gather the crowd that Glory Reign gathers? Nobody! Glory Reign? The entire town is empty for Jesus. There is no musical concert of any artiste that can gather such crowd. The devil is nothing to write home about, believe the unbelievable! Jesus is Lord any day! Are you hearing what I’m talking about?
-You will manifest (the) same grace in the name of Jesus! Church Gist. Your shop will cause go-slow, your business will explode, your life will cause go-slow. If you believe it, say: ‘Amen’ like a believer!
Walk in love! Walk in what? Love! You will operate in power and glory.
3. The prayer dimension.
Matthew 6:9-10. His Kingdom! In 1 Corinthians 4:20, He said: ‘It is not in word but in power’! ‘Thy Kingdom come’ simply means: ‘Thy Power come’. It is the prayer of the Saints that will determine how His Kingdom will expand on the Earth. Let me say this: ‘Kingdom advancement prayer is the greatest secret for empowerment’. Soul winning and Kingdom advancement prayer. Psalms 2:8. If a Church must grow, Kingdom advancement prayer is important. Isaiah 66:7-8. Without travailing you cannot prevail. The problem with the Church is that we refuse to pray. Church Gist. Did I tell you? The greatest secret of power? Let me tell you this, when you want to pray now, let me show you so that you will know that prayer is not… Okay! You have been praying for butter and bread for how many years now, nothing to show, change your prayer pattern. Change your what? Prayer pattern. Pray! Before you pray butter and bread, let me tell you practical prayer, before you ask God: ‘Oh! God! I need car, pray for souls to be saved, pray for the Word of God to have free course for those who are ministering the Word, pray for signs and wonders in the House of God’. When your prayer pattern goes that way and then after you’ve prayed those prayers you now come: ‘Father’! Before you open your mouth ‘waaaa’, Heavens will respond. It is Kingdom-oriented prayer that triggers power and glory. It is on the Altar when you begin to pray Kingdom what? Oriented prayers, you don’t pray for things, things come.
Jesus went to pray in Luke 9:28-35, He went to pray with Peter, John and James. And as He was praying, the Bible said His countenance was altered, there was a transfiguration. We have gone to the Mount of Transfiguration in Israel, if you go to that Mount, your heart will do like this… So I wonder how Jesus climbed there. They took us with car, your heart will be suspended! Top of a hill! You will drive like this, drive like this, if you are going on The Mount of Transfiguration, your heart will be suspended. So just imagine that type, Jesus went to that Mount to pray, it’s high! When we were coming down… Your heart will… You will say: ‘God, these people should just drive small small’. The height of the Mountain… And Israelis, they did a road to the top (of the Mount) – Those people are some strange people. Church Gist. We all got there! You can’t look down, if you are coming you have to close your eyes, the car will be running, you will just say: ‘Oh! God! (Laughing). Top! So I wonder how Jesus climbed that Place. Luke 9:28-29. Take note: ‘As ‘they’ prayed or as ‘he’ prayed’? Only Him! That means the three of them, hmmm. Luke 9:30-31. They (Peter, John and James) did not pray! No Kingdom prayer, they were just sleeping. The way some of you sleep, only morning devotion? All you do is sleep. Glory is only revealed in those who pray, they did not pray so the glory was not on them. You want glory? It can’t be in you until you pray. They saw ‘His Glory’ not ‘their glory’, take note. Luke 9:32. Peter, James and John had no glory because they were sleeping. Luke 9:33-35. It is those who pray, the World hears. They will not hear your voice until you pray.
Kingdom advancement prayer is the secret for empowerment. You cannot be empowered… You can never be empowered if all you pray for is butter and bread. (Illustrating). Change your prayer pattern! Change your what? Prayer pattern. Church Gist. The reason nothing has been happening is the way you have been praying. When I shut (the) door to pray, I don’t pray: ‘Father, give me garri, give me soup’, you can pray those prayers oo don’t misquote me but pray Kingdom prayer first. Before you even open your mouth… In fact, when you begin to change your prayer pattern, your prayer will change because when you start praying Kingdom prayers you find out that those things you want to ask… Before you ask…
Life story, one day I opened my drawer and the dollar was ‘too much’ and I just said in my heart, I said: ‘Huh! Dollar is this much’! The moment I just said: ‘Dollar is this much’! In less than two hours, somebody carried a bundle of dollars, bundle! Church Gist. Just for me to say: ‘Dollar is much’! Bundle! I said: ‘Sir, I want to see you’! I said: ‘This period… Allow him’! I told my P.A. to go! ‘Bundle’! But someone else is saying somewhere: ‘Father, in the name of Jesus! Dollar! Pounds! Yen! Euro! (Shaking his head and laughing) Ah! That is how you carry God’s glory! When you, in your closet, all you are after is the Kingdom of God. Change your pattern!
Tell your neighbour: Change your pattern. All your life is butter and bread.
Now, you will know that this is real, every sick stand up, I won’t pray. In any area you are, if you are sick, look at my face from the screen, you will be healed. Church Gist. Just put your face on my face, no matter the disease you will be healed, the sickness will leave you and you will be shocked, I won’t pray! Gaze on me! Moses came out in the Old Testament… You will be healed.
-And you are healed in Jesus’ name!
Check yourself, there will be no sickness. Check yourself, everybody will be healed!
Shall we rise!
——PRAYERS—–
Make it a lifestyle! Make it a what? A lifestyle to go after souls. Pray for His Kingdom, your prayer points will be reduced. Let me open up a secret to you, how many want prayer points to be reduced? Stop doing all-nights for witches, it’s kindergarten prayers, do all-night to be empowered, then when you pray, you just say: ‘Witches, get out’! They will go! No! Deliverance ministries have affected this part of the World making Christianity to keep asking for butter and bread. It’s archaic Christianity, it’s outdated, obsolete technology. You are using typewriter in a computer age; deliverance is typewriter, it’s nonsense, it makes Christianity look so archaic. It makes people every day to keep asking for butter and bread!!! That’s not Christianity. Church Gist. Please sit down with the Word and pray for His Kingdom, you will reduce your prayer points. You can spend hours praying for His Kingdom then when it comes to your own you just say: ‘The devil, get out! Every one of them! demons… ‘Pampampam’! But you are taking one hour to pray against witches? You have not prayed for souls to be won? One hour against witches! One hour! You say: ‘I’m doing all-night against that native doctor’, nonsense! When you pray for His Kingdom you say: ‘You, devil! Get out now’! Listen! When you stay in God’s presence, are you hearing me now? (Illustrating).
-Not one will you be able to wake up! Now, I stand with authority! Any devil tormenting you, goes to a sleep and never wakes up!
-I stand with authority, any wizard tormenting you will die this night! Anybody after your life and my life will not see Sunday this week! In the name of Jesus!
-All the demons in hell assigned to torment you, they will go down this moment.
-Whoever has vowed to make your life miserable, I decree by 6 pm today, they will not breathe anymore.
-Anyone who has cast a spell on your life, I command that spell to return back to sender.
-Anyone who has vowed to say you will never carry your children, you will never be promoted, you will suffer. Church Gist. I command them to pay the same price for their lives.
-This day, I decree and I declare: ‘Anywhere you have been held captive, your liberty is established’! I speak with authority, no force will stop you (from) being lifted by God. The blessing that is meant for you will come to your hands!
-In the name of Jesus, that sickness must leave now! That situation must turn now! You will not beg to eat! I repeat: ‘You will never beg to eat’!! Things will change for you, your blessings are released!
Declare: Nothing stops me from making progress, I am blessed of God, my life has turned. I must make progress in the name of Jesus!
Speak over your life in the name of Jesus.
——PRAYERS——-
-In Jesus’ mighty name! For everyone that has suffered delay in life, I speak with authority, God will give you speed! -Between now and (the) end of this year, the God who called me to establish His Kingdom on earth. For those delays in all those years, you are recovering all right now!
-In this eleventh month, where eleventh-hour miracles must be born. Church Gist. For everything that did not work since you were born, they will happen in the remaining days of this month! I speak with authority, in the name of Jesus! God will compress your blessings! This month will not end until God blesses you! As I’ve spoken so shall it be!
Say: I’m blessed! This month will not end without me seeing my blessings in the name of Jesus!
As you have declared so shall it be in Jesus’ mighty name! And those who hate us will go to the bush! They will face the bush! Church Gist. Those who say you will not survive, you will not make it, they will face the bush! Those who are digging pits, they will fall into it, they will fall into those pits in the name of Jesus.
