22nd November 2003: Bishop David Oyedepo dedicates the expanded Area one auditorium of the Dr Pastor Paul Enenche led Dunamis International Gospel Center, Durumi Abuja. The Church was expanded after the closure and departure of Living Faith Church Area one to the new State Headquarters by the Catholic Secretariat Durumi. The Area One Church was the Headquarter Church of Dunamis International Gospel Centre before the move in 2018 to the 100,000 capacity sanctuary, Glory Dome, The Lord’s Garden at the Airport Road, Abuja, Nigeria.
22nd November 1873: Anna Spafford survives death while crossing the Atlantic on the steamship, Ville du Havre, their vessel was struck by an iron sailing ship. Two hundred and twenty-six people lost their lives including her daughters, as the Ville du Havre sank within only twelve minutes. She was the wife of Horatio Gates Spafford, author of the popular Hymn ‘It is well with my soul’. She was engaged in caring for the sick, the poor and homeless children until she died in 1923.
22nd November 1963: Clive Staples Lewis goes to be with the Lord. He was a Christian author and a theologian. He authored several books including ‘Mere Christianity’, ‘Miracles’, ‘The Problem Of Pain’, among others. He died at the age of 64.
22nd November 1982: Chris Quilala is born. He is an American Christian musician and a worship leader with the Jesus Culture Band and formerly with the popular Bethel Music Collective. He is known for his popular song ‘Miracles’, ‘I Exalt Thee’, ‘Break Every Chain’, among others. He is a drummer and a guitarist.
