Give God thanks for seeing the Shiloh week of 2023, our Silver Jubilee Shiloh. The 25th One. Celebrate and Magnify Him for the marvels He has packaged for you at Shiloh. Church Gist. Thanklessness is a risk, it corrupts the blessings on hand and stops the blessings of the future from coming. Thanklessness is a risk. May we all receive today grace to remain ever thankful. So we owe God thanks.
Prayers: Lord speak to me by your Word today. By your Word help me to position for a life of flourishing through the mystery of thanksgiving.
Jesus we are all here at your feet, reach out to each one of us in Jesus’ name.
This is our Special Pre-Shiloh Thanksgiving and Anointing Service and I pray that God’s Word will penetrate our Spirit and open a new chapter in our lives. Luke 17:17. God is always waiting to be acknowledged for what thinks He has done in our lives. The nine were forgotten, we can’t trace them anymore. Church Gist. They were lost in the clouds, there was no more mention of them because they refused to acknowledge the finger of God in their hand. When you acknowledge His finger, He shows you His hand. When you acknowledge His hand, He shows you His outstretched arm. Things don’t stop happening in the lives of thanksgivers.
It is one way to keep good things happening in your life and my life. Thanksgiving as a way of life, not as a show. Thanksgiving as a lifestyle keeps good things happening without end. Luke 17:17. “If you won’t return, that means you are yet to acknowledge what I did. Now carry on by yourself.” Church Gist. We have to return so everlasting joy can be ours and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. We have to return with singing. God has been good, January all the way through to November. What an awesome God we serve. So we owe God thanks even as individuals and as a Church.
How many are saved? How many are truly born again? Your salvation is not an achievement, it is merely an engracement. You paid nothing to be saved. We are favourable products of God’s predestination. Before we were born, He made a choice and He chose you and me as vessels of mercy and others as vessels of destruction. Church Gist. It is all an act of God’s grace. Ephesians 2:5-7. Matthew 16:26. The most valuable asset of life is your salvation. Would you thank God for your salvation?
Psalm 71:7. Think of this, the body is said to be made up of 78 major organs. In case you don’t know all of them, we can point to some. Think of the skull, the brain inside the skull, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the tongue, the teeth, think of your heart, your lungs, your kidneys, your bones and your marrows, your muscles. We have the hands, the fingers, the legs, the shoulders, the knees and many more. Make a list of those organs and mark those ones that are working and you find out that you are a first class citizen of the earth. Out of 78, you only have one that is challenged. Do you know what 77 is out of 78? A+++, 5 pointer, First Class. Church Gist. Do you have only 2 that are challenged? Thank God for the many that are working, it will jerk up the one that remains. Isn’t God awesome? One challenged organ out of 78 organs or two challenged. You hardly find men with ten challenged organs. Even with ten challenged organs, that is 68 over 78. Is that B or C? It is an A. Gallant A and Clean A. And then here you come in and say “God you have not done anything for me. Nothing! I can’t see anything.” Your heart is beating but there is nothing. Your kidneys are working, your lungs are breathing and your mouth is eating. Your teeth are working and there is nothing. May God never get angry with any of us.
So everybody owes God intensive thanks. Unreserved thanks! He chose you from the foundation of the world to be conformed to His image. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Now you are saved, your physical body is working. Your family life is working, we owe God thanks. Church Gist. Your career is working, we owe God thanks. List all the issues that make life meaningful and you find out that over 90 per cent is working in your life and yet you won’t be grateful for it. Your children are working, come on give God thanks.
Now, as a church, we are indebted to God in every sense. “I will build my Church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.” So the building is Jesus. Matthew 16:18. John 6:44. He gave the Word and so they came to hear the Word. Church Gist. He confirms the Word so there is nothing about the Church that is behind God. Behind everything working in every ministry is God. Behind everything working without games and gimmicks is God.
We have never suffered a famine of the Word in this Church since inception. Fresh release as He gave it. You can’t access what He doesn’t give. The secret things belong to God; only what He releases can belong to us. So you owe God thanks. He gives the Word, He confirms the Word, what are we doing? We are spectators. We go out to preach but He is the one that convicts people to be saved. He is the one that gathers them into His Kingdom. Everything about the ministry is God so we owe Him thanks. We are indebted. We have been growing from strength to strength from glory to glory all by His grace. God has been raising an army of spiritual giants in this Commission with undeniable testimonies of exploits all by His grace. We have been experiencing direct leadings of the Holy Spirit in all facets of this commission till date. Church Gist. All by His grace, all to His glory. Unending confirmation of His Word in diverse signs and miracles all by His hand. The Spirit of stewardship is upon every member of this church serving God with all intensity and with proofs in their lives that cannot be denied. All by the Spirit of servanthood at work in our midst. That is why we must always be thankful. Watch out, as you commit to thanksgiving as a lifestyle you will be flourishing as a palm tree, you will never know dry season again.
They were in the desert, they had been there for three days. “If we let them go, they will faint on the way”. Jesus gave thanks in the desert and over five loaves and two fishes and 5,000 men were bountifully fed as much as each one could take. They still left 12 baskets over. Church Gist. Right in the desert, God set a table before them and their cup was running over. Through the mystery of thanksgiving. Your dry season will be permanently terminated as you commit to the mystery of thanksgiving as a lifestyle. Thanksgiving not as a church event, thanksgiving as a lifestyle.
Isaiah 51:11-13. The good news is you never know dry seasons anymore in your life. I had somebody say “Why will they not just take one offering in Faith Tabernacle? It is a very large church, one offering is enough.” When we were 5, 10, 12, we were taking one offering. In fact, the first three years we were not taking any offerings in our services yet we were not dry. Just know what it is. To be thankful is to be tank full. If you are thankful, your tanks will ever be full. Your water tanks will ever be full, your pipes will never run dry if you will be thankful. Church Gist. Be thankful! Be thankful to preserve His blessings in your life. Be thankful to provoke next level blessings in your life. Destiny will suffer dryness without thankfulness. Therefore, receive grace today to remain ever thankful.
Remember, life is not a right, it is a gift. You did nothing to be born. We slept and we awoke because He sustained us. Therefore let everything that has breath praise the Lord. It is a gift. Jeremiah 1:5. It is all a gift. What could you have done before you were born to merit His choice? Eternal life is not an achievement, it is a gift. Romans 6:23. It is a gift. Salvation is no achievement, it is a gift. Church Gist. By grace, ye are saved. In the kingdom of Christ which we belong, exploits are not achievements but engracements. 1 Corinthians 15:10. Paul said I am what I am not because I was a very successful lawyer, I am what I am by the grace of God. “Without me,” He said, “you can do nothing.”
Thanking God for what has happened preserves, multiplies and perfects our blessings. We are all used to that. Thanking God for things that have happened in your life and are happening in your life preserves those blessings, multiplies them and perfects them. Malachi 2:1-3. God forbid! It multiplies it. Father, I thank you and the bread multiplies supernaturally. It perfects it. Luke 17:19. Your faith has made thee whole for returning to thank me. You are now made whole, the effect of leprosy is wiped off. Church Gist. Others were cleansed, the effects were still there but because you came to give me thanks, I wipe off all the effects of leprosy on your life. Whatever makes people ask where is your God will be no more in your life. You will see them no more in your life in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thanking God for His Word in spite of what may be happening turns things around in our favour. Habakkuk 3:17-19. Psalm 56:10. When thanksgiving is focused on who God is, His integrity, He turns things around. Church Gist. In everything, give thanks. Things may not be the way you want it but God is still at work. Hebrews 10:36. It is your turn at last.
As a reminder, let’s go through virtues embedded in this mystery of thanksgiving as we saw in Psalm 92:10-15. Church Gist. It is a good thing to give thanks because it has the following blessings within it.
1. Thanksgiving strengthens the saints for exploits.
Psalm 92:10. A unicorn connotes strength. The more thankful one is, the more strength he garners.
2. Thanksgiving provides access to fresh oil.
Psalm 92:10. Fresh oil for fresh impact.
3. Thanksgiving provides access to the anointing that destroys all yokes of the wicked in our lives.
Psalm 92:11. Isaiah 10:25.
In the precious name of Jesus, you will never lose any battle again. Church Gist. As we give thanks He takes over.
4. Thanksgiving helps us to keep scaling new heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19. You don’t suffer stagnation with thanksgiving. Thank God for one He turns it into two. Thank God for two, it will soon become four. Thank God for four and it will soon become ten. Thank God for ten and you are on your way to becoming twenty. You stop thanking God, you stop changing levels. Psalm 92:12. Church Gist. Thankfulness keeps our levels changing. To be thankless is to keep going down. To be thankful is to keep going up. Be thankful! Count your blessings, bless the Lord for them. No assumption! You don’t pay a debt by assumption, you pay it by paying it.
5. Thanksgiving keeps us flourishing when everything is drying up.
Psalm 92:12-14. It is part of His agenda embedded in the mystery of thanksgiving to keep you and me fat and flourishing when everything is going down. Church Gist. Nothing will go down in your life any more.
6. It keeps you fruitful even till old age.
Psalm 92:14. Thank givers don’t run dry with time. They keep flourishing for life. Church Gist. May the grace to remain ever thankful come upon each one of us afresh today.
The big thing of it all is:
7. Thanksgiving secures access to divine presence.
Psalm 100:4. What about His presence? That is where He shows us the path of life. The way to go. The way out of our situations, the way upward, the way forward in the affairs of life. Church Gist. Thanksgiving ushers us into His presence where we enjoy among other things the way to the path of life and then fullness of joy. Proverbs 17:22. We enjoy the restoration of health and vitality through the encounter with fullness of joy that we draw from His presence. His presence will always make a difference in the life of any man. Don’t toy with it.
You can’t grumble your way into His presence. You can’t complain your way into His presence. The security is tight. You come with thanksgiving so you can pass. He put angels at the gate of Eden with flaming swords. Heavy security! Can you access the presence anyhow? No! You can’t say He is my brother, I want to see Him. They won’t talk to you. You can’t break into His presence without following the protocol. Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving. Church Gist. Then we can be ushered into His courts with praise. Then we remain thankful, blessing Him for who He is. Then we are ushered into His presence where we receive the paths of life. 1 Corinthians 10:13. We access the way of escape to deal with our issues in His presence. Can money buy that?
Someone asked me a question many years ago. Brother David, do you ever have any problems? I said maybe it came and I didn’t know. To be thankful keeps the problems under your feet. Be thankful! The issues will come under your feet, be thankful. Issues of life are ordained to be under your feet. Be thankful and you reign over the issues of life that are tormenting others. It is your turn. Romans 16:20. May this virtue become everyone’s addiction from now on. How is everything going? Church Gist. I thank God things are wonderful. You are not saying that to spite God you are saying that with intentionality. You are saying that with a sense of mission. It is your turn at last. Therefore expect to receive this morning, the oil of joy for mourning through the anointing and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. It will bring you a change of name. You shall be called trees of righteousness, the plantings of the Lord that ye may be glorified.
You can’t be grateful and not be joyful. So the anointing of joy is the anointing of gratitude. You cannot be joyful and not be praise full. James 5:13. Singing without a merry heart is noise making. You can’t be grateful and not be joyful. You can’t be joyful and not be praise full and you can’t be praise-full and not be God-full. God indwells the praise of His people that is where it begins, be grateful first. There is no grateful soul that is not joyful. You can’t say thank you with a frozen face. Genuine thank you comes along with a smile. You can’t say you are grateful and you are not joyful. Church Gist. “Only God knows whose heart is merry” we should know. You can’t say you are merry in your heart and it is not showing on your face. You close your eyes, close your ears and close everywhere and say you are merry. We should know. From today, your joy will be in the open because your gratitude will be genuine.
Your hand is paining you, thank God it is only your hand. I said if you have lost anything, God is the reason why you have not lost everything. One time we were on a journey. On our way back to…we got back to Kaduna and my entire box for that trip got lost. (Do) you know what I said? I said God knows I have other clothes that are not in that box. There is always a room for thanksgiving.
I share one funny story with you and I’ve never had it. Somebody brought me 69 pairs of shoes, brand new, my size. He never asked me, I never had any idea. 69, there was nowhere to put it. They put it in 2 vehicles with their packs. So, what year will I finish that for God’s sake? I have to distribute it. Amen. Life…be thankful, be grateful. Can I hear your Amen? It will change your story forever. You need to understand where we are coming from. Church Gist. Anytime we have 2 extra people in Church, ‘Father, thank you. You went to Town and brought 2 people to this corner. No one like you’ We were not spitting God, we were celebrating God because no one can come except my Father who sends me draws him. So, if He drew 2 people to this corner…we had no identity. He deserves praise. That’s how we grew and so, from 10 to 20, 20 to 30, 40 to 50 and then, 100 and then, 200 and then, 500. It’s not the same day, but it’s going. Don’t kill your business. Thank God for what you are selling now, then you see the next.

Thank God for what you are seeing now and then you’ll see the next. That’s the way it works. You’ll see the next. Thank you, Jesus.
We used to live in the Church office with my family. One toilet with the entire Church. You say ‘Maybe they are just 3 or 4’ When they were 100, we were still in that room. When they were 500, we were still in that room. One toilet. You want to have your bath before Sunday morning, go very early. Some folks are coming in(to) the Church, straight to the Toilet. Amen. But is that where we are today? Amen. If you don’t thank God for where you are, you may end up there. Church Gist. Thank God for where you are, He will take you to the next place. Thank God for the next, you are going to the next. Keep thanking God, your story will not stop changing.
– From today, I believe that every siege of ingratitude, by the anointing this morning, shall be destroyed in your life. Every siege of unthankfulness shall be destroyed in your life and your life will keep going forward and forward ever.
Proverbs 4:18. For the path of the just by God’s design is ordained to shine more and more, but thanksgiving is a requirement for that to happen. So, be thankful and good things won’t stop happening and it will keep happening better and better by the day in the name of Jesus Christ.
Among other things, the anointing is referred to as the oil of joy. Isaiah 61:3. It is also referred to as the garment of praise. The oil of joy that wipes away sorrow. The garment of praise that destroys depression. So, as the oil comes on your head, expect every siege of sorrow to be replaced with joy. Expect every siege of depression to be replaced with a garment of praise…and that will change your identity and like I mentioned earlier, joy is an offspring of gratitude. Church Gist. To be grateful is to be joyful. So, see this anointing as the oil of gratitude that will keep you ever grateful, so your story will keep ever changing for the better. Can I hear your Amen? That’s what it is. So, know what to expect…and to be ever joyful is to live a life of health and vitality. Proverbs 17:22. Proverbs 18:14. Luke 10:21. So, it’s not mechanical joy. It is not joy that is worked out but joy from within.
We were racing on a journey in those days to Kaduna in our Beetle and then, the silencer or whatever got broken and the noise was unbearable. So, I came under it to try to see if I could tie it up. The silencer fire, my hand touched it. ‘Jesus, thank you’ It’s an addiction. The effect went off. I wasn’t planning to touch it. It was accidental. ‘Jesus, thank you’ Wake up, my friend. Church Gist. So, we kept going with that noise. But now, we fly over those places. Aircraft has no silencer, so it can’t cut. We fly over those places without any hold-ups. There is no hold-up in the air. Your story will not stop changing if you keep thanking God.
– Thank you Jesus.
When we were building this place, one of the trusses, moved and fell on another, 3 of them came down. Each of the trusses they were building. I said, ‘Hope nobody is hurt’ They said ‘Nobody’ I said, ‘Thank you Jesus’ I said, ‘Cut it. Cut it off and carry it off the site. Nobody should say sorry to you’ Amen. They said ‘Okay, how much does it cost?’ I said ‘Don’t ask how much it cost. Church Gist. Carry on, go forward’ ‘Where do we go?’ ‘Go forward’ Is the building not here? Can any devil shake it? Be thankful. Somebody lost a TV (Television), for the past 3 years, he has not recovered. He gave the TV (Television) to someone to repair, the Man left the Town and he says every day ‘My TV (Television), 36 inches’ (Laughter) Amen.
– Praise God. Somebody’s story has just changed.
I said one time, ‘Should I not be thankful that I have something that somebody is interested in stealing’ Somebody is interested in stealing what you have, that means it’s precious. You can’t steal my joy, no matter how hard you try. You can’t steal my joy forever. I have made up my mind to settle with Jesus. Nothing can happen to me by an enemy. Be grateful.
– May you pass the current test you are writing.
We keep writing tests every day. May you pass the current test you are writing. God is saying ‘But how long will you be repeating this class every day’ You have just heard again, you say ‘God, the year is ending. Shiloh is coming. From Shiloh last year to Shiloh now, I’ve not seen anything’ and you’re talking, you’re wearing coat and tie and you’re going to eat this morning if you have not eaten already and you’re driving a car, my friend and you are going to your own house. Church Gist. ‘Who dash monkey banana’ You say ‘Nothing has happened. Papa doesn’t know what we are going through’ You are going through ignorance. You need to come out of it. I know what you’re going through. You are going through ignorance, raw ignorance and it is dangerous. You are going through ignorance.
– But no more. I say no more.
How many want their stories to keep changing?
Lift up your right hand to Heaven and believe God that by this anointing, the siege of murmuring, complaining, ingratitude, depression, shall be destroyed.
Give God thanks for making you a part of this service.

I receive from this table this morning, the Oil of joy that will replace mourning in my life, the Garment of praise to destroy the spirit of heaviness in my life.
-Depression must go
– Sorrow must leave me.
– God has done me well. Nobody could have treated me better than God does.
– I thank you, Jesus.
Now, lift up your two hands and begin to make proclamations on what you expect today.
– Prayers.
The World today is under the siege of depression, it is minus you.
– Prayers.
In Jesus precious name we have prayed.
What you expect is what you are permitted to experience. How many are expecting the release of the oil of joy and the oil of gladness today? That also implies the oil of gratitude.
Therefore, from today, no one here shall remain an ingrate.
Remind yourself all the time of your physical system, that ‘If I have 78 major organs in my body and only one is challenged. Won’t I thank God who kept the 77 working So He can perfect the one that is challenged? If I have 5 that are challenged, 5 out of 78, that’s 73 over 78. Church Gist. That’s 90 percent. Can you find a man that has a first class weeping? They say ‘Why?’ He says ‘My result’ They say ‘What happened?’ ‘It is only 4.8’ You have a problem. That student has a problem. He has a mental problem. He needs attention.
You are an A citizen of the World. Everything is working. You are even taking pictures. Can a sick man be taking pictures? You say, ‘The way my body is doing me’ and you are taking pictures? You are posing (laughter) Amen. You say ‘My business is challenged’ Your family is not challenged, your children are not challenged. ‘Can you imagine? Up till now’ Up till now, your family is working. Church Gist. Up till now, your children are working. What is your problem? ‘My only problem is this job that I have not gotten’ Ain’t you grateful that you are a candidate for a job? If you are mentally derailed, are you looking for a job?
Now, we are going to dance heavily. This is not a ‘sit down’ anointing. You are going to dance your way out of ingratitude to the realm of unending gratitude. You are going to dance your way out of sorrow into joy unspeakable. You are going to dance your way out of depression into a garment of praise. Today will mark the end of everything not working in your life.
We saw a drama yesterday at CU (Covenant University). One evil spirit, dressed in black was just working on someone to disconnect from God. They work on people. They go about seeking who may be available.
– But from now, you are not available.
‘Jesus, I thank you’ The moment you say that, they will bow. Church Gist. At His name, every name does what? (Bow) You are going down, you say ‘No, no. Jesus, I thank you for making me an A citizen of the Earth. I thank you for my predestination unto salvation. I thank you for the salvation of my soul. Jesus, Jesus’ They bow.
– You won’t lose any battle anymore in the name of Jesus.

It’s the dawn of a new day for you.
This is the cheapest way to maximize the table of the Lord at Shiloh 2023. No one qualifies for a visitation without gaining access to His presence and with the oil of joy and the oil of gladness today, your express access is secured. Church Gist. Shiloh shall be a season you will never forget all the days of your life in the precious name of Jesus. Once again, get yourself together to sustain access to His presence all through Shiloh. Whatever God hates, put it far from your tabernacle. Psalm 45:6. Embrace the demand of sustaining access to His presence by staying off everything that puts God off. Stay off them and package yourself ready for an encounter of a lifetime.
Every living Winner under the Sun must endeavour to be a partaker of Shiloh 2023. It shall be our lifeline from the horrors that await the World. Don’t miss it for anything. We are told now, about 217 locations across Lagos. No excuse for any man not to make the most of this season. All across the nations of the World, millions are gathering, you can’t afford to be an onlooker. Matthew 11:28.
Prophetic agendas are no threats. They are signals of oncoming events that nobody can do anything to stop it. The Earth will burn like an oven, but some will be exempted. Church Gist. So, we are coming to access the lifeline of exemption. As the time of horror hits the World, you will be living as outside the world, as God puts the keys into your hand.
Jesus is Lord!
This is the first of its kind since Shiloh began where God is prophetically addressing the issues of the hour.
– Your place shall not be lost.
‘How can the Earth burn as an oven? So, where will everybody be?’ Watch. The Earth was flooded by the flood. Where was Noah? In the Ark. Noah was in the Ark. Sodom and Gomorrah were burned to ashes, other men were alive. Don’t toy with prophetic agenda, seek the covering not to be a victim. A time is here when there will be nowhere to run to, where nations will have no place for anyone to hide, where those on asylum will be sent back to where they are coming from to go and face the music. Church Gist. At that time, only those who know God will be strong and do exploits. Only those who know the covenant of God shall be strong and do exploits.
– No one in your generation will ever beg for bread.
– No one here at his or her old age will become a beggar.
– The life to flourish till old age will come your way.
– No one’s life will go down by age.
– As your days, so shall your strength be in the name of Jesus.
Lift up those 2 hands and thank God for seeing the Shiloh Week of Shiloh 2023. Thank God for what He has in store for you in this awesome time. Celebrate Him!

Someone kept his bed for 8 years. He said ‘My answer is with Christ. They said ‘There is no room’ He said ‘There is a roof’ When you are out on a mission, it shows. There are some encounters that are reserved for some people here on ground because He knows you have what it takes to be on ground and you don’t get there, you don’t get it. ‘I must see Jesus’ So, he climbed the Sycamore Tree. Jesus saw him and said ‘Come down, I’m entering your house today’ Praise God.
Set yourself for an encounter and respond to the nudging of the Holy Spirit and watch what He does with your life. Sir, I never believed Church would be here. It was too far from everybody. How can you put a Church away from people and for the people? It didn’t look sound, but that’s God’s agenda. Until we got lost in the Forest, we were not found in the World. Church Gist. There is no one’s presence here that adds value to God. Your presence adds value to your life, not to me, not to anybody else. God will never need what you have. What you have came from Him. He needs you. Paul said ‘I seek you, not what you have’ God needs you to put you on the path of triumph, beauty and cover. Respond!
Whether on ground or online in the centres, ensure to be part of it. You have been doing business since January. You can’t shut down for 5 days? What kind of business are you doing? Well you might be on a job and your job does not give you the permission to go, but you own your business ‘I don’t have time’ Which time? Church Gist. Which time do you have? and for everybody that is on duty for one reason or the other, make sure the night sessions are your sessions. You gather yourself together with every force inside you, ‘I must have a lifetime encounter at Shiloh’ and Jesus will honour your word.

Shiloh Hour Prayer is on every morning. You are admonished to be a part of it. Don’t tell me you are on duty that’s why. Live where there is one centre around you, be part of it.
Lift up your two hands, give God thanks. Celebrate His faithfulness.
