26th December 1960: Reverend Samuel Aboyeji is born. He is the current General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church. He succeeded Rev. Felix Meduoye after his election as the fifth General Overseer of the Church in Nigeria. Aboyeji became the Senior Pastor of the Foursquare’s Olu of Warri Palace since 2001, Warri District Overseer in 2006 and Mid-West Region Coordinator in 2011. He was rated the best District Overseer of the Church for 3 consecutive years.

26th December 1963: Pastor Mary Abioye is born. She is the wife of Bishop David Abioye, the second Bishop to be consecrated after the Founder as well as the first Vice President of Living Faith Church Worldwide. She is also an author.

26th December 1899: Dwight Lyman Moody goes to be with the Lord. He was an American Evangelist, publisher and Founder of the Moody Church, Northfield School and Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts (now Northfield Mount Hermon School). He went to be with the Lord at the age of 62.

26th December 1984: The foundation stone of the Adventist College Clinic is laid. It is the Clinic of the Adventist Seminary of West Africa which became Babcock University in 1999. The Clinic is now known as Babcock University Teaching Hospital and it is located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. 

26th December 1985: Joseph Abiodun Adetiloye is enthroned as the second primate of the Nigerian Anglican Communion at the Cathedral Church of Lagos by the Archbishop of Nigeria at that time, the Most Reverend Dr. Timothy Omolayo Olufosoye. He retired from active service in December 1999.
