ONE IS VULNERABLE WITHOUT SPIRITUALITY. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE AGAINST THE BELIEVER WHO CARES THE LEAST FOR SPIRITUALITY.
THAT YOU ARE IN CHURCH DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE SPIRITUAL. SPIRITUALITY IS A CONSCIOUS CHOICE YOU MAKE.
NO ONE CAN FLOURISH IN HARD TIMES THAN HE IS SPIRITUAL.
SPIRITUALITY IS ‘SCRIPTURALITY’ – IT IS LIVING BY THE DICTATES OF SCRIPTURES.
THERE IS NO LAW FREE ZONE ON EARTH. NO NATION ALLOWS PEOPLE TO LIVE THE WAY THEY FEEL LIKE. SO ALSO IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
LAWS ARE NOT ENEMIES, THEY ARE TO PUT ORDER TO YOUR LIFE.

“As far as your eyes can see unto you will I give it.” Those who see only troubles never get free from them. Those who see failure never see success. Those who only focus on challenges never become champions. 2 Corinthians 4:18. Now guess what? When we were small as a Church, I never saw a small Church. When I had to believe God for 500 naira for a trip, I never thought or saw that I was poor. You need to train up in spiritual matters. Church Gist. It is what you see that becomes your lot. It is time to begin to see through the eyes of scriptures. It is time for your covenant sight to come alive. You can’t see poverty and experience plenty. You can’t see poverty and experience freedom. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray that your covenant eyes come open tonight.
I never saw that the Church would not grow in this forest. I saw what God said. Isaiah 2:1. I saw the Word. When you start seeing through the eyes of scriptures you are creating a future. Anybody could be afraid, I wasn’t. If God said so, that is so. I can’t see myself dead because He lives, I shall live also. Church Gist. So I could respond to the challenge of death in a dream, “Satan you must be a dummy. No one sees himself in a coffin and stays there.” Seeing through the scriptures is what creates a future. In the precious name of Jesus, your adventure in 2024 shall be stress free.
– As you begin to see through the light of scriptures, you will start shining.
– The Gentiles will come to your light and their kings to the brightness of your rising.
I was ministering one day in Kaduna with all my strength and I said “Wait a minute, I am not mad. I am speaking to crowds that you cannot see.” There is no way you can see everybody that gathered tonight not even in Canaanland. There are folks you see here and then you wonder “When did you come?” Church Gist. He has been around for two years. It is time to start seeing through the Word and through the prophetic word of prophets sent your way. It is time. In the precious name of Jesus, whatever was a blockage to your life at any time in the past clears off your path.
Why I know many are not seeing what God says is that what they are saying is a proof of what they are seeing. Church Gist. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. From now on, something has changed in your life.
No building with a faulty foundation has a future. So tonight as we move into 2024, we will be looking at UNVEILING THE FOUNDATION OF EVERY GREAT DESTINY IN THE KINGDOM. For if the foundation be destroyed, the righteous can do nothing. Psalm 11:3. The reason for the shakings, rattlings in many lives is that the foundation is faulty. The foundation needs attention. Church Gist. A building without a sure foundation is a risk, it is always abandoned. Spirituality is the foundation of every great destiny in the Kingdom. 1 Corinthians 3:11. 2 Timothy 2:19. That is the sure foundation of God for every believer. Departure from iniquity is the definition of a sure foundation for every great destiny in the Kingdom.
No believer can be any more fulfilled in life than he is spiritual. 1 Timothy 4:8. No believer can be any more fulfilled in life than he is spiritual. Romans 8:6. 3 John 2. That your souls prosper to the level of the prosperity of your spiritual life. This is what we have failed to check. We are checking other things. It is the only spiritual virtue that holds value both in the present world and in the world to come. 1 Timothy 4:8. No other virtue in the Kingdom holds those dual values but spirituality, godliness, holiness, the fear of God, living a life that pleases God, a crave to be godly. Church Gist. All breakthroughs will stop here, all prophetic words will stop here, all miracles will stop here, only godliness will get across into eternity. Every other thing stops here. Having children stops here, raising children stops here, being renowned stops here. The only thing that goes out there is the quality of your walk with God. An undying quest to please God. It decorates your life here and secures eternity there. What else are you looking for? It decorates destiny here and secures eternity in grand styles. What else are you looking for?
No one can command the supernatural than he is spiritual. We saw Gehazi, the prophet’s rod that could work any wonder didn’t work in his hand. 2 Kings 4:29-37. We saw the reason why. His eyes were off God. He was a lover of this present world. 1 John 2:15. When Elisha said Gehazi should go with all his gifts, Gehazi said never. How can he spare this man? When are we going to get this kind of thing again? He pursued after him and collected his leprosy on his return. No one can flourish in hard times than he is spiritual. Psalm 37:18-19. No one can flourish in hard times than he is spiritual. No one can exercise spiritual authority than he is spiritual. Acts 19:14-15. Spiritual authority demands spirituality for release and manifestation. Church Gist. So everything that holds value in the kingdom demands spirituality for manifestation. The more spiritual we are, the healthier we live. “Go and sin no more, lest a worse than this comes upon you.” John 5:14. No one can flow in revelation than he is spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:14. Hosea 4:6. So he can’t know them. Why? The secrets of the Lord are only accessible to those who fear Him and He will show them His covenants. So the man is shut out. He is in blackout.
That you are in Church does not mean you are spiritual, that you have a calling is not equal to spirituality. It is a conscious personal choice that people make. It is not a gift, it is not a calling, it is a conscious personal choice that people make. Acts 24:16. Genesis 14:23. Genesis 39:9. So it is a conscious personal choice that each one makes. Church Gist. May we get into 2024 with this personal conscious choice to live a godly life. The losses are horrendous. The losses are not things to toy with. Proverbs 21:16. There are believers that are as good as dead. There is no illumination to push darkness away. It is time to review our spiritual stands to maximize God’s good will for His children in this time of uncertainties. It is your turn.
No one can be any more protected in this high insecurity time than he is spiritual. Psalm 91:1. Psalm 24:3. You can’t dwell in that presence without godliness, without spirituality and that is our strong tower. Our strong tower is being under the shadow of the Almighty. One is vulnerable without spirituality. Everything seems to be against the believer who cares the least for spirituality. Church Gist. No one can live any more honourable life in the Kingdom than he is spiritual. 2 Timothy 2:21. No one’s destiny can be any more honourable in the Kingdom than he is spiritual. These are all covenant demands and “my covenant will I not break not utter those things which have gone out of my lip.” Psalm 89:34.
No one’s stewardship can be any more profitable than he is spiritual. Matthew 7:21-23. No one’s stewardship can be any more profitable than that individual is spiritual. Church Gist. So look at it all round, you find losses upon losses when this foundation is out of place.
What is Spirituality?
1. A crave for godly living.
Philippians 3:13-14. Nobody has arrived where we are going, we are just going but we shouldn’t go back. We should go forward. “I am not perfect. Oh, there is but one thing I do: I am pressing.” Philippians 3:15. We keep pressing into the fullness of the stature of Christ unto a perfect man. Church Gist. If those who are pressing are challenged, what about those who are not pressing at all? They will be oppressed. Hebrews 12:4. There is a crave, an undying crave to please God.
2. A faith driven determination to live a holy life.
“Be ye holy…” That’s okay but it will only deliver by faith. The reason why it is not delivering is that many don’t believe it. Every provision in the Kingdom delivers by faith. Matthew 5:48. It is impossible in the energy of the flesh but faith will make any impossibility possible without sweat. God won’t tell you and I to be what He has not engraced us to be if we choose to be. That choice is on the platform of faith. If we believe to be whatever He says to do, it is within His resources in us to be. If our crave for spirituality will replace our crave for breakthroughs, we will be breaking forth on every side without sweat because you are now in active partnership with God. Amos 3:3. When you come to terms with God, you are walking in an active partnership with Him and breakthroughs become like breathing. Psalm 24:7. Church Gist. You are not lifting nothing, you are just walking with Him and gates are lifted up. I have said it before that we are in need because mostly we don’t know what we need. Believers are in need today because they don’t know what they need. Those who know don’t care to put it to work. This is God’s flashlight for 2024: A review of each one’s spiritual stand. A crave for spiritual breakthrough, a crave for spiritual advancement. A crave to secure active partnership with Jesus that makes you an unbeatable Winner. An unstoppable champion. Acts 10:38. Active partnership with Jesus makes you an all out Winner. This will be your experience.
3. Delightsome obedience to the commandments of scriptures.
Psalm 112:1-3. That is an ever flourishing family and generation through delightsome obedience. Deuteronomy 5:32-33. That is what happens.
In summary, spirituality is living by the Word. Matthew 4:4. Spirituality is living by the Word. Living by the dictates of scriptures. When you see a man say “I don’t care what He says.” He is off. Living by the dictates of scriptures as a way of life. John 5:30. Living by the Word is spirituality. What is spirituality? It is ‘scripturality’. It is not that you sleep and you wake up and you see something in a dream. Church Gist. That is not spirituality, spirituality is living by the dictates of the Word. John 5:22-30. It is living by the Word. John 4:32-34. Hebrews 10:6-7. Spirituality is ‘scripturality’. It is living by the Word, living by the dictates of scriptures to create a great future. That is the summary of what we are talking about.
Lift up your right hand and take grace for a renewed spiritual disposition in 2024 so as to make the most of your adventure on earth.
Very quickly, I want to quickly disabuse the ongoing around the world today. God said they will come and so they are here. Jesus came to condemn sin in the flesh. Romans 8:1-3. There is no law free zone on Earth. As you depart from Nigeria into Benin Republic, you come under the laws of Benin Republic. So if you are afraid of laws in Nigeria, you get into laws there. Then you run to Cote d’Ivoire and you meet another stronger law waiting for you. Then you run from there to Russia and before you get there, law is waiting for you at the gate. People hate laws, people love disorder. Let me live my life, can you succeed like that in any nation? You don’t want to drive on the right side, you want to do what you feel like. Police will pick you up and mess you up. Grammar won’t deliver you. You don’t feel like driving on the right side, when they use a baton on your back you will start feeling it. Laws are not enemies, they are to put order to your life. There are laws of the Spirit, if you won’t comply you are engaging the law of death. Romans 8:3. “Your spirit can not sin, only your body can sin.” He condemned sin in the flesh. People just like shortcuts that is why they are cut short. You better wake up and walk straight. Let your eyes look straight before you. Jesus, of whose grace we have all received, so what you are talking about is not grace, he condemned sin the flesh. He lived to show that sin can be overcome and He said “No one convicts me of sin.” John 17:19. He is the living Word given the Holy Ghost without measure yet He took responsibility to live a sanctified life. So stop waving your hand and saying “I know it will happen.” It won’t happen. You have to take responsibility. I have to take responsibility, we have to take responsibility. He said to that man that was healed, “Go and sin no more lest a worse thing than this happens to you.” Sin makes things worse. John 5:14, John 8:11. Matthew 7:21-23. Even though you have been working for me, working for me in sin has eradicated the benefit of it.
One is either spiritual or carnal, you cannot be neutral. 1 Corinthians 3:1-3. We saw that they were having affairs with their father’s wives (1 Corinthians 5). We saw how Paul began to define spirituality beginning from verses 1 to 11. Church Gist. So it is not something to appropriate, it is something to look at and set yourself free from it or you are setting yourself free for death. Hard times are here but the truly spiritual will escape.
Please note that faith is impotent without a good conscience. 1 Timothy 1:19. The mystery of faith loses its potency without a good conscience. Church Gist. Holding the mystery of faith with a pure conscience or it will never deliver. 1 Timothy 3:9. It is time to review our spiritual standing with God.
Sin is not to be condoned but to be confronted and conquered. Sin is not a friend, it is an enemy. It cut down Amnon in his golden age. Pulled out the eyes of Samson after being a ruler of Israel for 40 years. Sin is an enemy, sin is not a friend. Jesus came to save us from our sins. Matthew 1:21. 1 John 3:8. No one is rapturable with sin, don’t wait for the Great Tribulation. Many anti-Christs and false teachers are out on the loose in the Body of Christ globally today. They are out deceiving many. 2 Peter 2:1-3. 1 John 2:18. It is not enough for one to pray not to be trapped, one must stay on the watch against the diverse tricks of the enemy to get believers out of the way. No man shall be cut off.
What are the Benefits of Spirituality?
1. It secures access to revelation.
Psalm 25:14. Which implies access to our inheritance.
2. It secures access to divine wisdom which enthrones.
Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 9:10. Job 28:7-27. Church Gist. It is by the fear of the Lord that we access that kind of wisdom that is not accessible in the world. It puts you and I on top of situations.
What else does it offer?
3. Answers to prayers. Psalm 66:18-19.
We saw how godliness enthroned Joseph in Egypt, it enthroned Daniel in Babylon, it will keep enthroning anyone who will embrace it as a lifestyle. Church Gist. You are the next one for enthronement.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. That is the conclusion of the whole Bible. Church Gist. The whole duty of man. A great year is ahead of you.
