1st January, 1960: Benson Andrew Idahosa while playing a football match mischievously tries to disrupt a Bible Study leading to his salvation in an Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, Nigeria.

1st January 2009: Construction of Trinity Towers kicks as declared by Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Senior Pastor, Redeemed Christian Church of God, City Of David Parish, Lagos, Nigeria. The Trinity Towers, was dedicated on 12th February, 2023.

1st January 1974: Kenneth Copeland  publishes his bestseller book, ‘The Laws of Prosperity.’

1st January: Prophet Isa El-Buba is born. He is the General Overseer of El-Buba Outreach Ministries, International (Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministries International) with headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. 

1st January 1957: Pastor Tony Rapu is born. He is the Senior Pastor of the House of Freedom.

1st January 1976: Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is born. He is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

1st January 2020: Apostle Abdulsalam Abraham passed on to glory. Apostle Abdulsalam was the Founder of Enthronement Ministries International (a.k.a Trinity Bible Church) based in Barnawa, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

1st January 1876: The First Baptist Church Lagos, Nigeria is formally inaugurated with  27 persons (13 males and 14 females) as its full-fledged members. This number rose to 52 before the end of that month.
