It’s important to know that everyone is absolutely responsible for which prophetic word comes to pass in his or her life, everyone. It is to everyone according to his faith. Same word but different effect. Matthew 9:29. It is to every one according to his faith. Church Gist. Habakkuk 2:2,3. ‘That he’, not ‘That they’. Habakkuk 2:4. ‘I can’t be deceived anymore. I mean, I’ve been hearing this prophetic word, nothing has come to pass in my life’. Your disposition is what is holding your own portion back. Wake up out of slumber. It’s happening in the life of many. When will it be your turn? Everybody is responsible for the prophetic word to come to pass in his or her life. Luke 1:45. Romans 1:17. Galatians 3:11. Hebrews 10:38.
– God will not turn His back on any of us.
God has no problem bringing His Word to pass in our lives. He only has problem with our unbelief. Church Gist. Matthew 9:28,29. You (God) have said it. Faith in your heart determines what your portion looks like.
– The year is set, God is set and this year shall be your year in the name of Jesus Christ.
Now, God’s Word is ordained for our profiting. 2 Timothy 3:16. Hebrews 4:2. So, the profiting is released based on your faith in what is spoken, based on my faith in what is spoken. For instance, prayer and fasting is a divine agenda for spiritual transformation and change of story for God’s people. Church Gist. You better take note of that. It is not a form of religious punishment. It is ordained a platform for spiritual furnishment, beautification. How do I call it an agenda? He said ‘When thou prayest’, not ‘If you pray’. So, it’s a schedule. Matthew 6:6,17. So, it’s not something that happens once in a while, once in a year. Matthew 9:10-15. Mark 2:18-20. We are in the days of fasting. Church Gist. So, it’s not something that just dropped from the Sky, it’s a divine agenda for the last days…and we understand that the day of His power shall precede the day of His coming and prayer and fasting is a platform for spiritual empowerment. So, there will be lot and lot of fasting before the Master comes. So, we are running Heaven’s schedule.
So, we shall be looking at ten prophetic outcomes from the Altar of prayer and fasting as enumerated in Isaiah 58:6-14. Therefore, the exhortation line for the Evening Prayer Meeting this week is captioned ‘UNDERSTANDING THE GUARANTEED OUTCOMES FROM THE ALTAR OF PRAYER AND FASTING’.
Isaiah 58:6. Isaiah 10:27. So, fasting is prescribed for our spiritual empowerment. Most times, people just take it to be bread and butter. Church Gist. It’s ordained for our spiritual empowerment which enables us to live the overcomer’s life in a wicked world. Breakthrough without defense is a breakdown.
Look at the example of Christ. He was out there for 40 days. Luke 4:14,18. Empowerment is a core outcome of prayer and fasting.
– The devil will not toy with any one of us anymore.
The example of Paul. He was a fasting machine. 2 Corinthians 6:5. 2 Corinthians 11:27.
Now, let’s rewind. When Jesus returned in Luke 4:33-36, something happened. Church Gist. So, you are empowered to destroy what destroyed others. Not theoretical power, raw power that subdues all oppositions on the path of your destiny.
– Everyone shall be empowered into next levels in the course of these 21 days (of) prayer and fasting.
– If you are one of them let me hear your loudest Amen!
Now, Paul the fasting machine. Acts 14:11. Acts 19:14,15. This empowerment changes our status in the Word of the Spirit.
– Somebody’s level is changing.
But interestingly also, spiritual empowerment is for living the overcomer’s life. Luke 10:1,2. Luke 9:1. Luke 10:17-19.
– The days of hurts, pains and aches, they are over in your life!
– Everything hurting your destiny without your knowledge of where it’s coming from, must give up on you this time!
You may copy principles, you can’t copy power. You can copy homiletics, say it the way somebody else will say it, but you can’t copy the effect. Everybody needs power to triumph in this wicked World. Matthew 25:9. The fuel in your car can’t run your wife’s car, because people have taken marriage to another extent. Church Gist. Everybody needs fuel in his car. There may be some fuelless husbands. The fuel in the vehicle of her car can’t run your car even though the 2 of you are one, that’s what the Word says, but not to that extent. In driving your car, the 2 of you are 2. Every one of you requires fuel in your car to run. So, every believer that must live the overcomer’s life must be empowered. Church Gist. So, we have come to the service station of power. Fasting is a covenant service station where God’s people are empowered to live the overcomer’s life.
– You will not know defeat anymore in your life!
– You will not suffer defeat anymore in your life!
– The assault of the wicked must end in your life this time in the name of Jesus.
Now, we are empowered for service and not for show. You know what that means? You can’t be empowered any more that you are disposed to serve. We are not empowered for show, we are primarily empowered to serve. Luke 24:49. Acts 1:8. Empowerment in the Kingdom is not for show, it’s for service. Church Gist. Sir, you can’t be empowered for wealth beyond your disposition to promote God’s Kingdom with His given wealth. It looks funny, but that’s it. You may go behind the scenes and cut corners but it will show at the end. You are not empowered to sit down and lord it over people. ‘Yeah, I am’. You are empowered to serve His purpose, whatever capacity.
– Can I hear your Amen?
Let me show you this before we close tonight because we have about 2 minutes more to go. Every change that anyone will ever experience in the Kingdom is triggered by a word encounter. Encounter with the Word, a word just comes, opens up a new chapter. Isaiah 9:8. Isaiah 60:1. Psalm 119:130. Church Gist. It is encounter with the Word that triggers the change in the life of any believer. It’s not drama, it’s real. Let’s check our lives to find out that definite changes that if anyone may have experienced, is triggered by a word spoken to him by God directly or from His Word that he treasured and walked with.
– So, watch out for diverse Word encounters all through these prayer sessions in the name of Jesus.
– Watch out in the night as you go to bed. Light! You can tell ‘Something has happened to me’
– In the name of Jesus Christ, no one here shall be left behind.
– God has vowed to make this year your year of fortune, you will not miss it.
– Misfortune must give up on every one of us.
– Misfortune must give up on your health.
– It must give up on your business.
– It must give up on your spiritual life in the name of Jesus.
So, this is not the time to be looking for who to blame. It is time to face God. Lift up your eyes to the hills. Those who look to the sun can’t see the shadows. Stop pointing accusing fingers. He said it in His Word. Settle down, face your life. Church Gist. ‘Something must be wrong with me that God must put right this time about every aspect of my life. Lord, I’ve come for an x-ray. I’ve come for a scan, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in your clinic. Sort me out. Jesus, my heart is open’. You’re going to see wonders.
So, empowerment is vital among the outcomes of prayer and fasting because it secures every other blessing that follows. Amen?
We were in a crusade years ago and then, it was a village setting, little town and then they threw something there to the platform, it hit the interpreter and I heard him say ‘Hey!’. Church Gist. I said ‘Peace in Jesus name’. He wasn’t the one they were going to throw at, it was me. But there must be a deflection, I didn’t come there ordinarily. I came there clothed.
– It’s your turn.
– You’ll return from this mountain clothed with power.
– Even the mention of your name for evil, thunder will strike.
Stand to your feet, everybody.
– The mention of your name for evil, God’s thunder will strike.
– Every gang up against your well being, the power of God will shatter them.
Lift up your two hands. If you caught anything from that exhortation, give God thanks for it.

Tomorrow is day 2, you’ll be stronger than this.
– Second day will revive us.
– So, there is a spiritual change of level for you tomorrow.
– You and I will experience it.
