We’ll be speaking quickly on the subject “SECRETS OF FINANCIAL MULTIPLICATION.” It is our Month of Above Only in Supernatural Supply. Genesis 1:28.
Our objective tonight is to understand what it takes to multiply resources, what it entails to multiply resources. The time that we are in is such a very very serious time. I tell people, I say “some of us, we are at the receiving end of what happens in society, far more than what most people know or think.” Church Gist. I can tell you that there are many political office holders who don’t know what is actually going on in the Land. If someone is kidnapped, we are one of the first lines people call even before they talk to police or anything. Someone is kidnapped, can you help us pray? And this happens numberlessly.
In recent times, the kind of messages I am receiving apart from these other emergencies, is “Pastor, me and my family, we don’t have what to eat today. My children and I – we are sleeping hungry tonight.” These calls are coming from Makurdi, they are coming from everywhere, Owerri – everywhere. So you are wondering, what do you do with yourself? Everywhere! Church Gist. The North, the South, the East, the West! We are going to trust the Lord that the Lord will help us as a Nation but as individuals, we want to understand what to do. Incidentally, I am also coming across people who are making billions in this town. We have heard testimonies on ‘Commanding the Day Midnight Prayer Altar’, some people have made sales this year (January, February) more than they have ever made in all their lives based on the declaration of the Word because the Bible said, when men said they are cast down, you can say there is a lifting up.
– And I believe a lifting up is coming for somebody!
By way of introduction, there are 3 things I want to say and our journey is a bit long tonight.
1. Multiplication is the order of God. Genesis 1:28, Jeremiah 30:19.
2. Everything in God grows and increases. Proverbs 4:18, Psalm 84:7.
3. Existence in the realm of increase is the perfect plan of God for His people. Genesis 26:22…that is, remaining in the realm of increase, that is the perfect plan. “I am in Rehoboth, place of enlargement.” What is the meaning of this? Church Gist. It is not the will of God for someone to move from increase to decrease then increase, then decrease – breakthrough then scarcity then breakthrough. No!
Listen to this and I want you to take it as seriously as you can. If you have experienced increase, you are not permitted to be a victim of famine. If you have experienced increase, you are not permitted, you are not designed to be the victim of famine. The increase of today was designed to tackle the famine of tomorrow. Church Gist. That was what happened in the Land of Egypt – 7 years of increase that was followed by 7 years of scarcity and God told the children of Israel…He showed Pharaoh and Pharaoh appointed a man by the name Joseph and Joseph harnessed, orchestrated, organized the increase such that, Egypt should not know scarcity if they have experienced increase. Is God speaking to anybody here at all?
Many of us mismanaged yesterday’s breakthrough so we became victims of today’s scarcity. I will be saying some things that may appear very painful but it is true. The prodigal son had everything, his father settled him. Church Gist. He was meant to remain settled until he went and the Bible said “he wasted his substance with riotous living.” Luke 15:13-14…the famine arose, he began to be in want. He joined himself to a citizen of that country who sent him to feed pigs and he began to beg for pig’s food.
– That will never be your portion!
– God is going to take you to a realm of increase and from that realm, you will remain for the rest of your generation!
What are the secrets of multiplication?
1. Possess vision and I am talking about vision for increase, vision for plenty. Possess vision. Genesis 13:14-15. The extent of your vision determines the extent of your provision. Possess vision. Proverbs 23:7, Proverbs 21:5. Everyone that is hasty is in a hurry. Money enters his hand, the first thing he wants to buy is a new dress, a big phone, a new car – he is in a hurry. Possess vision and when I say possess vision, let your vision be beyond survival. Church Gist. Don’t let what is in your mind be just a new car, a new house; don’t let what is in mind be new dresses, I like you to think in terms of a generation. How you can wipe out unemployment for 4,000 people. “Lord, I am looking for money not because I want to just be called a billionaire but I want to set up factories and industries that will employ people.”
One of our members here runs a water factory. It’s a very popular water factory, if I mention the name, you will know. I went there to dedicate the factory sometime ago. When I saw plenty people working, this one is closing bottles, this one is doing this, this one…I said “thank you for giving these people livelihood.” I was thanking him for making people have where to go in the morning and have what to earn at the end of the month and making people have something to give their families at the end of the month. Church Gist. I said, “you know all these people will be praying for you so that your success is their success.” Our ‘money miss road billionaires’ in Nigeria, money miss road corrupt people stacked 20 billion somewhere, it’s just sitting in an account – a hundred billion somewhere sitting in an account. That could wipe out the problem of a community. Possess vision that is beyond just survival, that is beyond just looking for what to eat, what to wear and what to drive. Those who don’t have any vision, when something enters their hands, the first thing on their mind is “I have been eyeing this dress, this phone, I have been eyeing this house.” No vision! And they pursue it like Esau – kill it, eat it. I got another 100 million now, (demonstrating) blow it until it finishes and then I am trusting God for another contract. Don’t waste your life like that. I’m going to go into more serious things as we proceed.
I like you to just make up your mind that you will live with a vision. When you don’t have a vision for your life, you run other people’s race (I’ll leave that for another day), you run on other people’s lane. What people do determines what you want to do. You put a child in America International School, “I must kill myself until I put my children there” even though the school fees is 5,000 dollars or 10,000 dollars which is equal to 17 million naira now. Church Gist. Are you following what I am saying? He’s just doing what other people are doing because he doesn’t have a vision for his life. Possess vision – that was number one.
2. Be grateful. Only great fools are not grateful. Appreciation brings multiplication. Jeremiah 30:19…as they bring thanksgiving, I multiply them. John 6:10-12. You may not be where you are yet, you may not be where you want to be yet but it is possible you are not where you used to be. Even if there is any reason at all, the fact that there is breath in your nostril…Ecclesiastes 9:4…meaning is that as long as there is life, there is hope. Church Gist. Nobody in the graveyard is talking of getting married – be grateful. When your salary comes and you say “what is this? This little money again.” You have killed it already. You killed its potential. “What will this one do now?” Murmuring sustains struggling. 1 Corinthians 10:10. Murmuring brings destruction. It sustains struggling. Every murmurer remains a struggler. I am telling you what I have proved in life. Appreciation! Per time, we have some much to do as a mission, we have so much to do per time – crusades, Churches, many of the Churches in different locations want to buy property and they say “we need help” and all of that…so much to do and I told our Account and Finance Office, “everytime we get the resources that God sent out way, lift it up and appreciate God first before you do anything. And we saw God during this construction, what we were spending every month was far beyond in excess of whatever could come into the offering every month – far beyond! Where the rest was coming from, nobody can tell. Gratitude! Appreciation! Be grateful. Number one – possess vision. Number 2 – be grateful.
3. Avoid borrowing. If you are going to reach where God wants you to reach…Proverbs 22:7, Deuteronomy 15:6…it is both a prophecy and a command. Romans 13:8…meaning the only thing you are permitted to owe people is love. I was talking to someone the other day, I said “every commandment God gives is for the benefit of the people and not for the benefit of God.” The Bible says “His commandments are not grievous” and I gave 2 examples. Church Gist. I said, when God said that the children of Israel should not eat pigs, it was because the pig is the most infested animal, the one that moves on the ground. That pig has an extra intestine and then 2 enzymes cadaverine from cadaver (dead body). It’s used to dissolve dead bodies and methicillin to deal with dead things. So He said, “I don’t want you to touch it, not because I’m the One that will be affected”…well, I’m sure that there are pigs that they raise in some piggeries that are not as dirty as this one. I don’t know of that one. It’s still somehow because of the fat content, it’s still somehow. (Referring to the image on the screen) It just presented itself as a piggery beauty sacrifice. I said “it is for the benefit of the children of Israel.”
“He said they should circumcise children on the eighth day.” Somebody says “why don’t you ask me to circumcise on the seventh, sixth or the ninth day? Why must it be on the eighth?” It was discovered scientifically some years ago that the prothrombin, a clotting factor, is highest in the blood on that day such that when you do the circumcision, the tendency of bleeding to death on that day is not likely. One of the earliest lectures in physiology is clotting factor, prothrombin and thrombin and all of that. Church Gist. So whenever God says, “don’t do this”, He is not the One to benefit from it. “Marriage is honourable in all, the bed undefiled” – don’t sleep with each other before you marry” – it’s not because God is looking for the woman (laughs). Because there are disastrous consequences of having premarital…disastrous! Complications! Are you following what I am saying here today? When God took the rib from Adam, not that He needed a bone to eat, it’s because Adam needed a wife. So let’s go to the borrowing now. All that was to illustrate why He said we should not borrow.
So when He said, we shouldn’t be borrowing…I want to give you 6 or 7 reasons why borrowing is to be avoided.
3a. The mentality of borrowing is the mentality of scarcity. You have to think scarcity before you think borrowing. The mentality of borrowing is the mentality of scarcity and listen to this, mentality determines reality. Proverbs 23:7. The mentality of borrowing is the mentality of scarcity. Church Gist. The meaning of that is, the mentality of borrowing will produce the reality of scarcity. If your mind is set on borrowing…if everytime you are in need, the first thing that comes to your mind is where to borrow from? You will never come out of scarcity, you will just remain there because your mentality has established your reality and there are people who are so addicted to borrowing that they will even borrow what they don’t need. People are so funny, someone said. They borrow the money they don’t need to impress the people they don’t like so their upkeep becomes their downfall.
3b. The act of borrowing establishes financial servitude, that is, you have agreed that you are a servant financially. Proverbs 22:7. It establishes financial servitude. Somebody may come with a sweet tongue for you. Church Gist. Before you know it, you have become a servant. Somebody that is junior to you, you are now saying “Sir, sir” because he borrowed you money.
3c. Borrowing is anti-covenant operation that frustrates the working of the Covenant where He said in the Covenant “you are to lend not to borrow, you are to give not to beg.” It is anti-covenant operation. Deuteronomy 15:6. This is what it means. You are a tither, you are a giver, a sower but you are also a bigger and a borrower, it is plus one minus one. The effect of your giving is nullified by your action because borrowing is looking to alternate sources of supply other than your supplier. Church Gist. It is like you match the accelerator (the throttle) and with the second leg, you match the brake. You want to move but you are doing things that forbid your motion. ‘E tough oo’
When Area One Church was being built, that little tower at the back then (2003, 2004, 2002 thereabout), that little tower, the balance to build it was 10 million. One of the banks then came and they said “we now see that you have this building at the back you have not finished. Can we give you the money to finish it? Let’s partner with you. Can we finish it?” And I said to them “so what’s the condition?” They said “on Sundays, during Services they will come and when the offering is given, both them and our ushers or counters will carry the money to the bank and all of them will count it together and then they will be collecting it like that until everything is paid. Church Gist. That is, no covenant practice. We cannot tithe that…well, Oh Lord, I said “is this how I am going to shame God? Did God call me or I called myself or the bank called me? The One who built the front one can’t finish the back? We are not in need of the money. Please, we are sorry.” So they left and God supplied the money. That money today is not a testimony here now. That money! It cannot buy the diesel of this Place for one week. It may manage to try, go and find out the price of the diesel then you find out the consumption rate. Do you understand what I am talking about?
If we had enjoyed it then, we would have been in real mess today. Not one dime of overdraft was taken for this construction. What America people call debt free, built debt free from foundation to roofing and the roofing, we paid the money ahead of time before they will ship in millions of dollars. Church Gist. Are you following what I am saying here today? Principles are higher than principalities.
– I decree today, every taste and every appetite for borrowing in anyone here is destroyed in the name of Jesus!
While I was preparing this Message and I came to this point it appeared to me as if the message is ‘domboro’ because of the intensity of what God was saying.
3d. Borrowing is spiritual rebellion and disobedience. Deuteronomy 15:6, Romans 13:8. So, it’s not just an action, it amounts to spiritual rebellion and what is the consequence? Church Gist. The rebellious will always dwell in a dry land. Psalm 68:6. So to enjoy a life of debt is to live in the dry land.
3e. Borrowing empties tomorrow into today. It destroys the future. What do I mean? You spend the money that is not yet in your hands, it destroys the future. What belongs to tomorrow you spent it today. So when tomorrow arrives, you enter an empty tomorrow. That was what happened to the prophet’s widow. The man gave his future as collateral for his debt. 2 Kings 4:1-3…the man, a prophet (old prophet). Church Gist. If I am to analyze this prophet, it will be another message. If I’m to analyze him, it’s another message. It means he is an anti-covenant prophet that went to borrow. He gave his children…the creditors came to hold the children to turn them to slaves. That is, his future was mortgaged with today’s satisfaction until Elisha came to his rescue. Don’t empty your tomorrow. You will see a lot of people today, they finished tomorrow before today arrives. The food they should eat tomorrow, they ate it today. Some ate the future of a whole country. Do you understand what I’m talking about? They borrowed the whole country dry.
3f. Borrowing destroys the joy of harvest. It destroys the joy of harvest, the joy of returns, the joy of income. You collected the salary of 150,000 but you are not happy because 125,000 is not your own inside (laughs). ‘Trouble dey o.’ It destroys the joy of income, the joy of return. You heard news that money is coming but it didn’t change your mood. Nobody should do himself such a disfavour. There are those, creditors are waiting in their houses. Church Gist. They just follow them up. ‘Have they paid salary in that office today?’ They just come and knock, knock. “I have come” – for what is that? ‘I have come na, you know. You know that you are owing me.” Do you understand what I am saying? It destroys the joy of returns. There are some couples who finished marriage but they are not happy. They borrowed too much for the wedding. Any wedding you need to borrow to do, please don’t do it. Who told you that you must spend one million before you are wedded? Who said? Who told you, you must spend millions before you are wedded? If you want to wed and you have no money, tell your mother-in-law to be and your father-in-law to be and all your people together. This is what we have. What your resources can afford, you can organize the wedding to that resources. By the time you have paid the dowry, you have done one of the most critical things that must be done in the wedding. The Church blessing is to receive the honour and present yourself before God before you proceed to function as husband and wife since you have been fasting for too long (Laughs). Hallelujah!
Borrowing – you emptied tomorrow. You destroyed the joy of the harvest. Church Gist. The Bible said “there should be joy in harvest” according to Isaiah 9:3 but you destroy that joy.
3g. Borrowing attracts shame, reproach and disgrace. It attracts them because the borrower is servant to the lender. It attracts shame, reproach. The person who is not meant to talk to you anyhow on a normal day, he is talking carelessly to you. He was nicer when he was lending you the money and he became nasty and banks operate like that too. “Oh, customer, customer”- by the time they start writing you warning letters, before you know it, you are in court, before you know it, they have repossessed your house. Church Gist. You are owing them 100 million, your house is worth 200 million, they carried it. There are many people in the banking sector, may God help them to make Heaven. Listen, I will tell you a real life story but there is a technicality where they say “if you borrowed 100 million and they are holding your house worth 200 million, technically you are not owing them. Is that right? That is a technicality but if that can be avoided, let it be avoided.
This man was talking to me, he said “please, help me tell the brethren to avoid borrowing – billionaire man worth 1.3 billion USD. Yes! Before he took bank loan, he was already a billionaire in USD. Today as I speak, He owns 4 planes. He said that loan almost finished him. Hypertension – almost finished him. Interest began to go into billions in the same USD. He said they were now struggling to sell everything he has. Church Gist. I am not telling you what I heard from somebody, I am telling you what I heard from the horse’s mouth. He said those people can be so wicked that they can even frustrate your business to make it fail so they can buy it over, take it over and possess it. It took God for him to come out of it. God! Letter upon letter, meeting upon meeting, refinancing upon… all manners. He said “tell the brethren to avoid borrowing.” This is the second or third time I’m saying it – this same story. Do you understand what I’m talking about now?
If it is avoidable…well, I believe that there are many of our brethren who will own the banks and then operate it very well and please don’t say I am against you if your profession is banking. I am not against you. Church Gist. There are businesses who believe that they cannot function until they borrow. If you are doing it well, your collateral is in theirs hands, their money is in your hands and you and them understand each other to a point nobody is dealing with each other. No challenge.
– Lift up your right hand and say, in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to avoid such a lifestyle. In the name of Jesus, I receive that grace now in Jesus name.
The man said “I was doing well without the loan. I was doing well, I could have continued doing well without it.” He said but it crashed me.
4. Avoid waste. Wasteful spending is the way of poverty and shame. I’m going to rush from here on because of time. Church Gist. Luke 15:13-15 told us about the prodigal son. Proverbs 18:9. Take note of the following concerning waste.
4a. Where there is waste, money is in haste. Money flees the hands of wasters. That was what happened. The Bible used the word waste “he wasted his life on riotous living.” Church Gist. He wasted…that was the prodigal son and everything disappeared. Money is in haste where there is waste. Luke 15:13.
4b. God can never entrust or bless the waster. He won’t be able to entrust or bless the waster. When He sees a man whose life is just squandering. He can’t trust you. The rain only falls for cultivators. Why are you saying so Pastor? Genesis 2:5. Church Gist. At creation, rain didn’t fall for as long as there was no man to cultivate the Earth. God only blesses sowers, He blesses cultivators. He blesses sowers, He blesses cultivators. He will never bless a waster. He will never entrust a waster.
4c. Poverty is the destiny of the waster. You know Proverbs 8:9? Anywhere the slothful end which is poverty, that is where the waster will end. Their destination is equal. Church Gist. The one who has plenty money today and he’s wasting it and the one who is sleeping from 6pm despite Commanding the Day, till 6am tomorrow morning – He said, these 2 people, their journey is the same.
– That will never be your portion in Jesus precious name!
John 6:12-13. They started with 5 loaves, 2 fishes and fed 5,000. They ‘wiriwiriwiri’ on the ground. They ‘minimini’ on the ground, the fragments, they gathered it. Basket one, basket 2, basket 3…basket 12. This is the meaning, inside the waste is your wealth. Wealth is hidden inside waste. Church Gist. Do you know that there is a young lady that is turning tyres (condemned tyres) into furniture now? Yes, furniture! She’s picking what she did not buy to make millions. If this Country will work well, this will be one of the best countries on Earth. We have everything in abundance. Everything! Good people in abundance, bad people in abundance, wisdom for Internet fraud (laughs). Was it not me and you that was driving in Lagos one day around Obalende side? The wheel cover removed, an area boy just came and harvested it and just went his way. Instead of taking it and say “stop, your wheel cover.” He got a harvest . I couldn’t recover from it. He just harvested and just…that is, somebody’s loss was his gain. We have everything in abundance. But I believe that those of us that are good are more than those that are bad.
– And things must work in our lives!
That is the fourth thing to note. Maybe somebody will organize a garage sale, is that what they call it? Where you just gather the things that are all around you, broken down vehicles you might not use again – how much can they buy this one? And all of that and just gather the fragments and then avoid spending what you don’t need. Well, I will come to that again when I talk about investment. Our time is so gone. Church Gist. Can I finish it today? Please this is the last Service for the month of February and let’s go very fast. Don’t spend carelessly, I have said that already. Don’t keep what you don’t need, that is waste.
5. Maintain a storehouse. The storehouse is called the reserve in Economics and Accounting terminologies – a strategic reserve but it is scriptural. Deuteronomy 28:8, Proverbs 21:20. The difference between some of the third World countries and the highly developed nations is the strength of their economy and the strength of their strategic reserve. Church Gist. Somebody was speaking concerning Singapore the other day and he said how they built up a reserve (I can’t remember the amount, in billions or millions of dollars) and made a law in their parliament that no incoming president is permitted to spend from the reserve. Then, they came to a point where they said no, such a law is not enough because of the inflation and all that, devaluation that goes on – the reserve now is also to be plowed back into investment to bring in returns. So any government in power must make the money they want to spend, that was their law. You don’t spend what we saved from yesterday and you don’t borrow to spend. Generate the money you want to spend. What a working!
Many years ago when we went to that Country, they showed us condominiums, tall tall buildings that were emptied in mass. We asked one of them, we said “what is this?” He said “these are houses for children that are not yet born.” Church Gist. They have already taken care of the accommodations of those who are not yet born. There are places where things are working o and I can tell you that can be your own strength as well.
Let me show you 3 things about the storehouse. But I am sure you remember that, that was what happened in Egypt. In the days of plenty, that was what Joseph used. Genesis 41:34-36…so they had something available for the rainy day. The summary of this is, don’t spend everything. Now what is the principle of this? Because there may be people here today who may say “what I have is not even enough for me to spend, you are talking of not spending everything.” It’s like they used to say in the village in those days “I don’t have what to eat, you are asking me to donate to teacher.” Church Gist. Because in those days, the villagers were meant to carry yam and things to the village teacher (the local school teacher) and they say “where is your own donation?” He says “me? I don’t have what to eat, you are telling me to donate to teacher. Let me have what to eat first.” So some people are saying “I am looking for 15,000 and I got 10,000 and you are asking me to set what aside? I need 5,000 more.” I will tell you the principle. There are 3 things that you must know.
5a. The reserve is a faith principle that says “I will always have more than enough.” You are not there yet but it is a faith principle that says “there will always be something to keep aside.” So even when you are not in the realm where you have enough to keep aside, you’ve started keeping something aside even if it was one naira. Church Gist. Hebrews 11:1…so you are saying “I am hoping that the day will come where what I will earn, I can’t eat all of it, I will always have something to put aside. I have not seen that realm yet but I am beginning from here. Am I communicating? And everytime God sees faith, He moves. Hebrews 11:6. So, it is a faith principle.
5b. The storehouse compels the blessings of God. Another way to say this, the blessing of God is in search of the storehouse. Deuteronomy 28:8. Church Gist. Just say it like this, you have made up your mind not to spend everything, you begin to compel the blessing of God in your life because God sees you as a wise servant who is not a waster.
5c. The storehouse is a wisdom principle that guarantees profit. Ecclesiastes 10:10. It is a wisdom that says “I am not such a person that spends everything” and that will bring you profit in the end.
5d. The storehouse exists as a magnet of resources. Matthew 25:24-29. Let me say this and don’t forget it. Money travels in the direction of money. Money will always look and locate money. It’s scriptural. Church Gist. “Give this talent to the one…this one who doesn’t know how to multiply, take it from him, give it to the other one who knows how to make it plenty.” That is why they said “the rich are becoming richer and the poor…have you heard that before? And it makes some poor people very angry “the rich are becoming richer, the poor are becoming poorer.” The reason is, there are things that…I am not talking about corrupt rich people, I am not talking of fraudulent rich, I am talking of genuinely, principled people who are wealthy by principles. There are things that they do that poor people don’t know to do. A real rich person before you see him wearing a shoe that is a hundred thousand, there is a minimum of between one – ten million that is not touched. A poor person if he has 110,000, he will buy a shoe of 100,000 from that 110,000. That behaviour maintains him in poverty. He thinks he is shiny and dressing and sporty but ‘shishi’ is not anywhere.
There are some young men who are posing and walking on the road like this (demonstrating), he’s having an iPhone that is bigger than his size. If he pours away a little girl that is hawking groundnut, if he pours that groundnut away and they say he should pay, he can’t pay and yet he is doing guy and bouncing. Some people may be saying that the principle of reserve or the principle of let’s say the storehouse may not make economic sense or accounting especially because of the light of inflation. “Okay, if I put money in savings or I put money here or there, the rate of inflation is even higher than the interest rate that I may be in.” Listen, it is better to keep it somewhere than to hang it and waste it. Secondly, if where you want to keep it is a multiplying place, better. I am not talking about all the magical things that they are talking – bring 10 naira today under 2 days, we will give you another 10 naira. Church Gist. Anything that is too good to be true most times is too good to be true. I’m not talking about these ones. I’m talking of genuine places where it can go and multiply. But instead of it hanging and you waste it, it is better that it is kept somewhere if there is something that is coming in and then make it bigger. How many of you think that this kind of thing needs to be taught in Church? Because there are so many people who say “I am paying tithe, I am giving offering” and they are blaming God and God is saying “I am not to blame. There are things that you are doing that are good but there are plenty things you’re doing that are wrong and those wrong things are knocking out the good things.” So it is important that we learn this.
6. Focus on investment not expenditure. When we talked about avoiding waste, we partially talked about that. Don’t let the aim of your getting money be what to buy or how to spend it. 2 Kings 4:3-4…now somebody is saying “you said we shouldn’t borrow.” No. This is not the type of borrowing we are talking about. It didn’t say “go, borrow money.” No! Go, borrow oil, No! It wasn’t the oil that she was to go and get, she was to get the vessel in which she will multiply the treasure. Am I communicating? It’s the vessel to multiply the treasure. Church Gist. Go, get platform to multiply what you have and she went and got it and multiplied it until she couldn’t multiply anymore because there were no more vessels and the oil stopped. That is the principle of God. So, let’s read this Passage in full and then I think I will round off there. Matthew 25:24-29. Does that not explain why some people never experience anything? “I got great testimony, just got a job of 100 million, just got a job of 10 million.” After that day, they became father christmas. Now there is a level of generosity that is good but there is something I call generosity of insanity that is like a madman’s kindness. “Take my suit, I will give you my shoe (head is worrying him), can I pull you my trousers? That is madman talking. Have you not seen people who even go to borrow to give to people? Borrow – take. There are people if money hits their hands, until that money perishes, they won’t have peace. “How much is in the bank? 20 more million. 5 million – take. It’s remaining what? 15 million! This car is how much?” They told him 10.5 million. He says “what of 10.4 million?” Is that how to price? The car is 10.5 million. He says “can I give you 10.45? Please give me 50,000 out of it ‘na.’ Please.” Pay! He is just moving until the money finishes then the eye clears. 3 days later, he is looking for money for the fuel of that same car. He did what our vernacular used to call spending money. How do they call spending money in vernacular? ‘He’s killing money. He spoiled the money.’ Our own is, he killed the money. Money died. He spoiled the money. Somebody say Amen!
– I pray tonight, the impartation will come upon you and that will never be your destiny!
Please take note of 3 things concerning investment.
6a. God advocates investment. From that Scripture we read, He advocates it. That is, the money I gave to you, put it somewhere and multiply it.
6b. God hates wastage and when we say waste now, we are not just talking about spending anyhow but just letting it be there. Church Gist. That is, engage the resources. Engage them. Profitably engage them.
6c. God blesses investment. He blesses the investment mindset. He blesses! That was why He said “the man who multiplied his own and now has 10 talents, give him more.” The child of God who has investment mentality will have more results than the one who has a maintenance mentality. Somebody may say “what should be my area of investment?” That will be a teaching for another day because you need to know – where should I put money in? Church Gist. But one of the things that you will know is that every area that is the area of your passion, it will be the area of your portion. You want to offer solution, give answers in a particular area like Joseph, like Mordecia, like Nehemiah, that is the area where you are likely to see returns.
7. Maintain an open Heaven. Ensure that you function under the open Heaven. When resources begin to increase, don’t forget the tithe and the givings. “I just got a profit of 10 billion and now my tithe is one billion, I think it’s too much.” Don’t come to such a point because the way in is the way forward. What brought you here is what will keep you here and what will take you forward. Don’t forget it. Church Gist. There are people who are transgenerationally wealthy. That is from them to their children’s children children – that is how covenant wealth is transmitted. There are those you heard of them today…there are millionaires in this Country, aircraft owners, commercials and others that we heard of. Some are still alive but no more, nothing to be heard. Some have died…billions. Children are alive but wealth is not sustainable because covenant wealth is the only wealth that can be guaranteed a future.
Anybody can be big today and disappear tomorrow if he’s not connected to God. Church Gist. Function under the open Heavens – personal finances, corporate finances in tithings, in covenant givings and practices and you will have a secured future. Congratulations!
