Our long-awaited help has finally come. The prophetic focus for the month is MY HELPER HAS COME.
– You never lack help from above anymore in your life.
Just create room for this helper and then your case is settled. His name is the Holy Ghost. Our God-ordained helper that is sent to abide with us forever. He was with us, we saw Him in Christ. Now, He is with us. So He goes about with us, just like your heart goes with you wherever you go. This helper goes with you and me wherever we go. We are secure in the air, we are secure in the land. Church Gist. You are secure on the sea because the Lord is our refuge, a very present help in time of need. Psalm 46:1-7. You find the Holy Ghost being painted there. “There is a river…” The Holy Ghost is that present help that is our refuge when confronted, when challenged, when harassed, always there. It is not about theological complications and complexities, it is about power. He said to me, “You will not have to debate over doctrines but to prove the power of the Holy Ghost.” So don’t bother about Hebrew said, Greek said. Just bother about my power that comes out of my Word as raw as it is. It works. Every believer is entitled to the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Everyone, male and female, boys and girls. It is the birthright of the redeemed. As the Lord lives, no one will miss this treasure of heaven this month.
– Everyone whose oil has grown stale, may this month be a month of freshness.
You can’t carry fresh oil and be defeated. Psalm 92:10-11. When the oil is fresh, your enemy has no place. With fresh oil, your enemy has no place. With stale oil, enemies can still hang around. It is freshness. Church Gist. To now be without the Holy Ghost ‘at all at all’ is a risk. You are defenceless, you are helpless. It stabilizes your walk with God, it protects you from the assault of the wicked one. He empowers you to serve God with joy and delight. He is everything we need to keep going.
Those who are not baptized in the Holy Ghost, open your hearts in this service. Acts 10:44. A young man in 1985 took my book, The Miracle Seed, he was a Catholic boy. He went to a mountain behind their house. He read Chapter One and gave his life to Christ by himself. Chapter 3, he got filled with the Holy Ghost without anybody being there. An open heart is what you need. After you are born again, it is automatic. It is your right. Church Gist. We are not practising how to speak in tongues, He gives us utterance and it stays. I have been in it for over forty years and it is refreshing, it is fulfilling. My consciousness of His presence has helped me out of all kinds of stuff. I could say to those who argue about what we are doing here, forgive them they know not what they are doing. God never confirms anything that is not His Word. Whatever you see God confirm in the lives of people, it is His Word. What’s your problem? I am sent and anointed to do what I am doing. My mission is to stop the tears of mankind. All secret tears, all public tears and turn them around for testimonies. Did you hear the story of that my daughter? She came in here in 2007. Nobody ever got married in their family, there were 10 of them. Church Gist. Now, she got married. The parents came down here and all the children got married. They now have 21 grandchildren. The devil tied them down, the Holy Ghost sent me with the Liberation anointing to loosen them. Whatever is tied down in your life shall be loosened today.
God anointed Jehu to destroy the House of Ahab. There are certain anointings that are given by God to carry out certain tasks. Church Gist. There is no divine assignment without an anointing to match. Open up. Today is your day. These are Holy Ghost services so open up. It shall be your day.
Every time the Holy Ghost moves, cities are moved. The Holy Ghost came down on the day of Pentecost and the city of Jerusalem came under the siege of the Gospel of Jesus. By Chapter 5, they had filled the whole of Jerusalem with their doctrine. Philip went down to Samaria, preached Christ there and there was joy in the entire city. The city caught fire by the Holy Ghost. Paul was in Athens and almost the whole city came together to hear the Word of God. Church Gist. Every true move of the Holy Ghost moves cities, moves nations, moves regions. We are going to see the cities of Lagos and Ota moved supernaturally as we welcome the powerful move of the Holy Ghost in our midst. He is the One that moves and moves things. When He moves things are moved. When the Holy Ghost moves, things move. Allow His move in your life and things will keep moving in the right direction. As He is moving for this Church, things will start moving in the right direction.
We are looking at this very interesting subject for our Sunday Services this month. It applies to both us as individuals and as a Church, ENGAGING THE MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGHS. That’s His job. Luke 4:14. It is the Spirit of breakthrough, He never arrives unnoticed. When the Holy Ghost comes in, things turn and they turn in the right direction. Church Gist. They always turn in the right direction. Luke 4:37. He is the Spirit of breakthroughs. Isaiah 61:1-3. Come next Sunday, whatever won’t let you go to fulfill God’s agenda for your life, God will clear them for you. By His act of vengeance, He will clear them for you as if they never existed. He is the Spirit of breakthrough, when He comes in things keep turning in the right direction. From this day onward, nothing goes downward in your life.
1 Corinthians 12:7. He adds value to people’s lives. We are told to earnestly covet. It doesn’t drop on your lap. You demand for the Holy Ghost to move in a new way and He begins to add more and more value to your life. Isaiah 45:1-3. The anointing subdues nations. That is the breakthrough power that the Holy Spirit carries. He opens two leaved gates that cannot be shut by any devil. He subdues nations. He loosens the loins of kings, kings become powerless under the anointing that controls the territory. Most of the time we don’t know what we need so we just keep looking for the things that don’t matter. You can’t be robed in the power from On High and be molested by the devil. The Comforter literally means the Helper. John 14:16-18. So He is there all the time. He comes with diversity of operations all by the same Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7. Diversities! We will examine some of them this month as we will do in the next two Sundays of the month.
Every gift of the Spirit delivers on demand. They come through on demand. Luke 11:13. 1 Corinthians 12:31. The best gifts are the gifts you desire. 1 Corinthians 12:31. They deliver on demand, the gifts of the Holy Spirit deliver on demand. Church Gist. Now, let’s look at a few of some of the vital manifestations of the Holy Spirit for supernatural breakthroughs.
1. The Holy Spirit Guides Our Steps In A World Of Noiseless Breakthroughs
No sheep, no matter how mature, has the capacity to lead itself on the right path. It began as a lamb, it is now a matured sheep and has given birth to other sheep but it can’t make its way to any destination without a shepherd. It runs a risk without a shepherd. Church Gist. The Holy Ghost is our guide on the right path of life. John 5:30. It is the guidance ministry of the Holy Spirit that makes our adventure great on the earth. He leads the way forward, He never leads backwards. He leads the way forward all the time. It may not look so at the beginning but that is what He is doing.
1st October 1983, the Lord said to me, “My son, I am committed to leading you. If you are committed to following me. The question is ‘Are you committed to following me?’ Isaiah 48:17-18, 21. If you let me lead you, I will be leading you from one realm of profiting to another. When God leads, things turn. Psalm 23:1. When God leads, the unbelievable happens. People jump and jump and jump. Most of the time they jump from frying pan to fire. Allow God to lead you. He leads us today by the Holy Spirit. Church Gist. Romans 8:14. When I encountered this guidance ministry of the Holy Ghost in 1976. Beautiful time! I read a book, ‘Purpose of Pentecost’ in one sitting. From the front page to the back page. I couldn’t stand up, the Holy Ghost just got me arrested. I saw the person of the Holy Spirit for the first time in that book and I was filled with awe. I wanted to share it quickly. You don’t lack what you share. You only lack what you keep. All these things you call secret revelation, it will soon become stale. I went out and I couldn’t find them where I used to know they were staying. I said “Holy Spirit, if you are truly a person like I found out. Lead me to where they are. I won’t ask anybody in this town. I heard Him with my ears for the first time in my life, “God forward.” What? I did. Church Gist. Got to a T Junction and the Holy Spirit said, “Make a left.” What? It was so soothing. No guesswork. He led me and led me to where they were. God is so real. Allow Him to lead you. He led us here. There is no calculation, no intellectual decision can bring anybody to this forest for church ministry. No! He led us to this wilderness and turned a city out of it. He specializes in doing that. Nobody will expect a great Church in the forest, it should be in the highbrow areas of town. Allow Him to lead you, not all that glitters is gold.
Here is the matter that needs to be attended to. “The meek will He guide in judgement.” There are too many arrogant people in the world. Psalm 25:9. It takes meekness to access His guidance and follow. God does not waste His time leading someone to where He knows he won’t go. He leaves you to yourself since you know where to go. We saw Moses was very meek above all the men on the face of the earth and Moses was constantly guided from one realm of breakthrough to the next. He was constantly guided. Matthew 11:29. Meekness was the virtue that opened them to that continuous guidance. It takes meekness to access and follow His guidance. I said Never, this can never be the place but when He said this is the place, I surrendered. Nothing has changed between the time I was bragging that it can’t be the place, since He said it, that’s it. “Don’t have any Church in town.” That’s a tall order. I asked what of the building. “Are you the one that built it?” so we shut down that entire place two years. Only the meek can follow His leading. I won’t follow to Lagos if He has not granted me the grace for the virtue. To do what? We were having a great time in Kaduna. We were favoured with men and with God. How can we come and start all over again? It takes meekness.
Some have packed their load to go on the wrong journey and God told them No, they say “No! I have told everybody I am going.” Where are you going? God said I am not going with you. So what will happen when you get there? Everybody requires a very efficient reverse gear. When God says no, reverse. It is never late to be right. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of guidance. He will show you things to come when they don’t appear so at all. Allow Him to lead you. Can I have you say with me, “Holy Spirit, I welcome you to be my guide from henceforth all through the days of my life. You never lead awrong, you always lead aright. You never lead backwards, you always lead forward. So help me Lord.”
2. The Holy Spirit Is The Spirit Of Revelation That Helps Our Spiritual Understanding Of The Truth.
John 14:26. He shall teach you all things. John 16:12-14. Access to spiritual understanding of the truth is what makes life outstanding. Whosoever hears the Word and understands it, he goes forth to bring forth fruit according to the level of understanding. Some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. So what comes out of the Word for us is a function of our spiritual understanding of that truth. It is understanding that begets outstanding. Church Gist. The Holy Ghost is the Master Teacher of the truth. 1 Corinthians 2:12-14. A natural man cannot receive them, no matter His intellectual status. Matthew 13:23. Our level of understanding is what defines the outcome of our engagement with any truth of scriptures. It is not just the activity, it is our level of understanding. It is not just the level of activity, it is our level of understanding. The Word is received in good ground, that’s okay. How much of that do you understand? That will determine how much of that you can get out of it. God’s Word is ordained for our profiting. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. God’s Word is for profitable living. Hebrews 4:2. Do you know what that means? Because they didn’t understand it, it didn’t profit them.
Understanding is what begets faith. Acts 8:29-37. It is spiritual understanding that stirs faith which engenders proofs in return. You can’t see what is profitable and ignore it. You are grumbling about praying Kingdom advancement prayer because you have not seen it. If you have seen it, they won’t beg you. What is in soul winning, am I a pastor? You have not seen it. Was I a pastor at the age of 19? I didn’t even know the meaning of ministry but I wanted to see souls saved and I encountered destiny. You can’t see this thing that will add value to your life and ignore it. You can’t see the pathway to financial fortune and ignore it. You don’t want financial misfortune. Church Gist. It means you have not understood it. It is beyond hearing, see! Exodus 7:1. Isaiah 2:1. It is a Word to see, it is not just a Word to hear. You can’t see it and ignore it. That’s what the Holy Ghost does. He is the Spirit of revelation that enhances our spiritual understanding of the truth which begets faith and leads to our triumph in life.
When He opened my understanding on hitch-free marriage, I saw it. “The Word which David saw.” I saw it. It was so real. It was so strange, that time there was nothing like that. Everybody was coping and managing and pretending. “Praise God! Praise God!” After fighting. I saw it. Church Gist. He showed me. You can’t find what He didn’t show. Deuteronomy 29:29. It is not expertise, it is being open to the Word. May the Lord open your heart to access the Word of life.
That’s what the Holy Ghost does. Everybody needs Him. You need Him for guidance. You need Him for divine revelation that turns giants out of believers. Isaiah 60:1, 22. Revelation can turn a nation out of a person. Holy Spirit I need you. I have tried to understand this thing by myself. Church Gist. Now I know I can’t understand any more than a human being can understand. Now come in, open my understanding to see farther. Everybody needs the Holy Ghost, it is not a doctrine of a Church. No! It is a doctrine of Christ. Thank you Jesus. Isaiah 60:1-3. John 1:5. That is where you are entering into.
– The days of satanic harassment are over in your life.
1 Corinthians 2:10. The deep things of God are divine secrets. Divine secrets are what make stars in the Kingdom. When that secret was unveiled to Daniel, he emerged a star in Babylon. The king bowed down and worshipped him. Church Gist. Divine secrets make stars. When that secret was revealed to Joseph, it made him a king in his land of incarceration. That is the job of the Holy Spirit, He shows us the deep things of life.
4. The Holy Spirit Is The Oil Of Joy And Gladness That Keeps Us Strong And Healthy For Exploits.
Proverbs 17:22, 18:14. Nehemiah 8:10. What joy does is to enhance the flow of revelation. Isaiah 12:3. Joy facilitates access to revelation. Daniel 11:32. Joy inbuilds strength and vitality and then opens us up or enhances our access to the flow of revelation. Church Gist. So you become a candidate for exploits. Your joy will not suffer a breakdown anymore. Holy Spirit I need you. I don’t want to be a seasonal joyful believer, I want to be an all season joyful believer.
1 Thessalonians 5:16. You see unusual physical strength in a man called Paul, you see unusual revelation and unusual exploits. The secrets of men are in their stories. Joy! Don’t let nothing stop you. Rejoice evermore. Philippians 4:4. Nobody should ask you again what is wrong, don’t look wrong. Stop looking wrong. They won’t ask you what is wrong if you are not looking wrong. Stop looking wrong. This is so important. Romans 14:17. The Holy Ghost is a facilitator of the joy of heaven. So allow Him. Isaiah 61:3. Church Gist. Allow Him to have His way. Let the Holy Ghost come in. I have never suffered a burnout. Joyful people don’t burn out. I have never accommodated depression for once. No! The joy of the Holy Ghost subdues tendencies of depression.
– In the name of the Holy Ghost, depression is cursed in anyone’s life.
You cannot be oppressed until you are first depressed. The devil needs a depressed environment to locate His victims. Joy Is the environment of heaven, the more joyful you are. The more heavenly, your environment becomes. The more depressed you are, the more demonic your environment becomes. Awake thou that sleepeth. Here we laugh every day and the laughter is real and genuine. “We are 11 people in our family, none of us is married.” Relax! Can I tell you something? You are all declared married. God bless you. Start going. No sorry. We don’t do that here. Sorry is compounding sorrow. You don’t need it. Watch out, as you lighten your environment, your home will become sweeter. Church Gist. You just find things working on their own accord because of divine presence that cannot survive a joyless environment. In His presence, there must be fullness of joy. When joy wanes, His presence disappears. His presence thrives on joy, not palliative joy. There are some people who are smiling, you know that they are not joyful. They still look grin under their smile. You will still see grin there. Say with me, “Holy Spirit, I want to experience your joy more than ever before this month. I need an experience with joy in the Holy Ghost. The joy that never dries up. Joy in season and out of season. Joy evermore, joy all the time. Thank you Jesus.”
Believers are not empowered for show but for service. We are empowered for service not for show. If you don’t know the purpose, you will abuse it. We are empowered to serve God more, not to sit around. We are empowered to do His bidding not to hang around. Acts 1:8. Genesis 12:1-3. Isaiah 61:1-2. We are empowered to serve specific purposes. We are empowered to serve specific purposes. If you are out to serve God, He will empower you lavishly. Church Gist. If you are out to serve God, He won’t withhold nothing from you. We are empowered to serve not to sit around. Galatians 2:8. He empowers us to serve His purpose as He preordained it. We are empowered to serve His purpose. Empowerment is not for show, empowerment is for service.
Luke 9:1-2. They were empowered to serve that purpose. Matthew 10:1. Any time you see power, you see the purpose. Any time you see empowerment, you see the purpose attached to it. That’s the way it works. I remember years ago, we were believing God for ₦3,000 to pay the rent of our church facility and I said, “Brethren, if I have this money God will not appeal to me to give it. Now, we are all at the same level, understand what I am saying.” I have never lacked what to give to a cause since that time. From hundreds to thousands, hundreds of thousands to millions and to further millions. Emi ja le ri o (I have never stolen). My account is in the open. I am just blessed because I know the purpose of His blessing and I remain on key with it. Church Gist. He gave them gold in Egypt because they were going to build a tabernacle in the wilderness. So He called for the gold, He said whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring. Everyone that offered, offered an offering of gold. Where did they get the gold? He gave it to them. God won’t ask you for Isaac if He has not given you one. He gave you gold, you ran away and then the gold finished. No! It is all about you and me, not God, not the devil. You mean there were no more temples to build when Solomon was building shrines? No! May no one suffer any further abuse. God is bringing you into fortune this year, may that fortune be available to serve His purpose. May your lifting be to the advancement of His Kingdom.
Covenant Day Of Marital Breakthrough
Every challenged marital destiny such as marital delays, marital crises, are mostly raw oppressions of the devil. They may appear… “Well, we have understanding issues.” No! The devil is the one manipulating, orchestrating that horrendous situation. He wants you down. He wants you dismembered. We are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. It is not that somebody is coming in or not, an enemy has done this. Marriage is ordained for better, not for better and for worse. For better! Religion has bastardized it. It is not good for a man to be alone. I want to make life better for him by providing a helpmeet for him because woe unto him that is alone. Genesis 2:18. It is for better, not for better and for worse. May everyone who has called for better and for worse, be free from that bondage. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Deuteronomy 32:30. Church Gist. Being married places you at an advantage in the battles of life. Genesis 2:18. Everyone that is going through stress in their families, today marks the end of it. The anointing that stops the tears behind closed doors is on this altar this morning.
– The days of your secret tears are over.
Every child of God that so desires has the God given right to be settled in marriage. It is our God that settles people in families. Psalm 68:6. God sets the solitary in families… Church Gist. God has told you what He wants and you are protesting. You have not believed it. You are rebelling.
– Today, for everyone who desires to be settled in marriage, God is breaking the chains holding you bound.
– No matter how generational those chains are, they are broken up today.
Serving God entitles you to favour. Favour is the capital return for Kingdom advancement stewardship. Proverbs 18:22. You are a child of favour by redemption and by serving God you are entitled to favour in return. So you are a double favoured person. That means nothing under the sun can hold you bound in marital misfortune. The God of the Commission will settle you today. Also, marriage is a good thing and every good thing is our entitlement in Christ including a timely, peaceful, joyful and a settled marriage life. Church Gist. Every good thing is our entitlement in Christ. Matthew 7:11. It is not good for a man or woman to be alone. I have instituted marriage to fill the gap. That gap is filled in everyone’s life today. Psalm 34:10. Marriage is a good thing, you are not permitted to lack it. I decree you supernaturally settled.
To actualize our glorious marital destiny one must:
1. Be Saved And Remain In Love With God.
For we know that all things work together for them that love God. John 14:21. Be born again and stay in love. Church Gist. Many are born again but they are not in love where everything works together for your good. Pride is poisonous, don’t give room to it.
2. Remain Committed To Kingdom Advancement Endeavours.
Matthew 6:33. It covers every aspect of our lives. Church Gist. Serving God covers every aspect of our lives.
3. Beware Of Pride.
Pride destroys, pride has never been known to build anything. Pride is a destroyer. It goes before destruction. Pride is poisonous, don’t give in to it. Pride is unsafe. Don’t buy it. There are some men, no woman is fit to be their spouse. There are some ladies, no man is fit in all the continents to be their spouse. “Who are you, please? Where are you from? Is your place on the map? Do they have internet where you come from? Where do you live? Is that a town or something?” Come down. Before honour is humility and marriage is ordained to be honourable. Marriage is for the humble, marriage is not for the proud. 1 Peter 5:5. If my wife was looking for somebody who seemed to have a future, she won’t marry me. I was on the other side of Jordan in terms of my uncontrolled passion for God. Can anything come out of this man? Can I tell you this? Without humility, you are not a candidate for honour. No matter where you are. No matter which career you belong to, without humility, you are not a candidate for honour. Church Gist. Daughters of Zion hear me, you need humility to experience the honour of marriage. Sons of Abraham, hear me. You need humility to find a wife. You won’t find one without humility. She is either not as educated as you or as tall or short as you are. You need someone who is light-complexioned, not like Papa. People just play around things that don’t matter in their lives. The good news is that the barrier is broken.
Somebody wants to talk to someone and he shares with his friend. He says, “Don’t go there. I learnt somebody went there last time and she washed the person down.” “Is that so?” Church Gist. “Well, I am warning you.” I knew somebody many years ago who said “ My God! How did you come to me?” He said I am sorry.
4. We must engage the Power of Faith
Nothing comes from heaven without the faith of a believer. It is our faith that commits God to act. It is our faith that forces God to stretch forth His hand. So believe that it is your right to be settled in marriage. Believe that God has what it takes to make it happen now. Believe that God has what it takes to make it happen now. ugg that God’s Word will always work to whosoever believers. Believe that whatsoever God says, He can create it and He does. Church Gist. So faith is vital to securing our marital destiny. Ephesians 6:16. Don’t believe what they told you in the village, believe what God says in His Word. 2 Corinthians 5:17. 1 John 5:4. All those things of the past are past. You are now a child of God, there is no curse on your lineage that has a hold on your life. Believe that you are out of it and you are out of it.
5. We must make God our only source of expectation.
This is where we must speak to ourselves as Africans, particularly as Nigerians. We must make God our only source of expectation. There are people in Church today that have some strange things in their houses right now as I am talking. Some put them in their pockets as they are coming to Church. They think the only way they will not have an accident is to put that thing in their pockets. They came to Church with it. You confuse your life. Psalm 16:4. Church Gist. Following another god is the undoing of many people in this part of the world. It is Mama or Papa who gave me and I can’t say no to them. Okay, you have said No to God. Let’s see where you will go. Your father who has died will be the one to help you. I have not added one thing to Jesus in my life. All the devils in hell are hearing me now. I have not consulted one evil person. One occult for help. Can you assist me? Me? How? Let me die the death of the righteous. It is following after another god or thinking about it. ‘You see this my friend, the way things are happening to them. If I follow them now, you know I am a Winner or Papa hears.’ Papa won’t hear. Papa is in His house. Those other things you add, they are the undoing of your life. You better drop them before they drop you. They will drop you. They don’t have a future. They have never helped anybody through. They will drop you. If the devil has a part in you, God will leave you to him. He doesn’t share His glory with anybody. God will never share His glory with anybody.
