-Father, thank You for Your Word and let no one leave here the same way in Jesus’ name.
The Theme of this Crusade is The Day Of His Power. And throughout this weekend, we shall be addressing Revival Fire Power. We shall be addressing that. The power of God as it relates to revival and how it changes lands. The first message in this series is titled THE NECESSITY OF REVIVAL. Psalm 86:5. Church Gist. Our objective this morning first of all is to understand the necessity of revival and then simply what to do for revival. By way of introduction, there is a general cry for revival – the revival of God’s power, the revival of God’s presence and the revival of God’s glory in the Earth today. And there are four directions of this cry:
- The whole of creation is groaning and travailing in anticipation of the explosion of God’s glory in the Earth.
Romans 8:19-22. Church Gist. Beloved brothers and sisters, all of creation is groaning, travailing in anticipation of seeing the full purpose of their creation. - There is a cry (for revival) from elders and ancient men who had seen previous moves of God.
Elders and ancient men who had seen previous moves of God in their lifetime. A cry for the reality and the authenticity of what they once saw that had seemed to have disappeared. When the Temple of Solomon was… When the foundation of the new Temple was being laid in the Book of Ezra in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah; after the Temple of Solomon had been destroyed in Ezra 3:12. The Bible said that there was a cry, there was a mixture. Church Gist. He said: But many of the priests and levites and chief of the fathers who were ancient men that had seen the first house when the foundation of this House was laid before their eyes, they wept with a loud voice and many others shouted aloud for joy. Ezra 3:13. So there was a mixture happening, there was a mixture of events; ancient people saw the Temple and realized how so far disconnected in terms of glory it was from the first one. They remembered the glory of what was destroyed and they were weeping. For them, it looks like something less replacing something better but the younger people who had never seen anything, they thought they were seeing a very great result so they were shouting for joy. So there are people among us who are yearning for the kind of power they once saw. The kind of manifestation of God they once saw.
-And I am here to announce in the name of Jesus! In this season we shall see power like never before. There shall be a restoration of ancient apostolic power, ancient prophetic power, ancient evangelistic mantles. If you’re a believer shout the loudest Amen.
- From the spiritual and the passionate who understand the mind of God for the hour.
They understand that God is up to something. They understand that the season is set for something unusual to happen. Habakkuk 3:1-2. It was the prayer of Habakkuk the Prophet upon Shigionoth. There are people whose relationship with God showed them dimensions of things in the realm of the Spirit that they are yet to experience in the physical. Church Gist. God showed them the season, He showed them His mind, He showed them His purpose but they are yet to experience it in the physical. I believe there are such people here today where people are clapping for you that you are doing so well, that you are seeing such a great result yet in your heart you know you have not started, yet you know that compared with what God has shown you, compared with what God plans for your life that you have not begun your ministry at all.
- I am here to announce to somebody, you are about to step into something unusual!
After Kenneth Hagin had done about 16 to 17 years in Ministry, God said to him: “Get ready to enter the first chapter of My assignment for you.” He said: ‘First chapter? Then what have I been doing with my life’? He said: “You have just been in preparation!” Do you understand what I’m talking about? Moses was in preparation for 40 years before he stepped into the assignment. Church Gist. I am here to announce to somebody, all the results you have seen so far is preparation compared to where God is going to take you after this Conference. Everything you have seen so far is the preparation, is the kindergarten, is the wilderness compared to the Promised Land. You believe that shout the loudest Amen.
Look at your neighbour (and) say: Get ready! You are about to step into the fullness, something greater than what you have seen!!! Shout the loudest Amen!
- There is a cry from the lost world.
There is a group of the lost world who yearn for reality. They yearn for something. Jeremiah 8:20-22. That is, the cry in the heart of the lost. In the heart of interior places – Where, when will we be saved? When will we see the light? I heard the story of a man, a drunkard, addicted drunkard! Very deeply addicted! He came and met a minister of God in America. He said: “I was once a drunkard like this, so terrible I was.” He said: “But there was a man of God by the name, A.A. Allen. He said: “This Man laid hands on me and cast out the devil of drunkenness and set me free in the spot. Church Gist. I remained free for a long time.” He said: “But somehow I fell back into this drunkenness and I have been bound for years now.” He said: “Please, can you tell me? Is there nobody with such power again? Is there nobody with such anointing again? Is there nobody with such power again? I want to be free. Where is the kind of power that once set me free?” There are people in the world who are crying: “Who will set me free? Who will deliver me? Who will make me to know God?” But beloved! I am here to announce to you, that kind of power and more is what you are walking away out of this Conference with. If you’re saying Amen, say a louder Amen! You would be walking away with that Power today! Shout the loudest Amen!
Now, very very quickly like I said because of time. Why is revival necessary? Why must we not be satisfied with doing Church as usual? Why must we not just be satisfied that: ‘Look! I am successful, I have plenty members, I have a good car, I have a good house, I am comfortable’! Why should we look for something beyond that? Why revival? I have about 7 reasons this afternoon. I’ll try to rush through as much as I can. If I cannot finish, we’ll continue tomorrow. There is need for revival:
- There is a drastic deficiency of the knowledge of God in the Earth.
People who know about God are plenty, people who know Church are plenty but people who know God are few. Church Gist. Numbers 14:21. God almost swore, He said as I live saith the Lord. As truly as I live, all the Earth shall be filled, must be filled with the glory of the Lord. Habakkuk 2:14. If I tell you: ‘What is your vision’? You will tell me your vision. If you ask God: ‘What is Your vision, Sir’? He said, this Earth that I created must know their Creator. I cannot have a house and those living in the house don’t know Me. I cannot have a property and the children of my enemies are in charge of My property. The Earth must be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.
There was a time where the whole of Europe was almost literally Christianized. England was so Christianized that they had a member of parliament representing Church constituency, that King James, the King of England literally ordered the translation of the Bible. Church Gist. Switzerland was on fire by the ministry of John Calvin. Scotland was on fire by the ministry of John Knox. John Wesley and Charles Wesley, they set England on fire. The same England today, they’re selling Churches. Young people don’t know God, they don’t care about God. A drastic disappearance of the knowledge of the Owner of the earth. People are living their lives without caring that someone owns their lives. That is the necessity for revival – the world must be forced to know the owner of the earth. Church Gist. The world, the earth must be forced to know who owns the earth. By the administration of God’s power, God’s glory and God’s presence, this earth must be brought to the knowledge of God.
- somebody say a loud Amen!
Why must there be revival? Because there’s a drastic deficiency of the knowledge of God. Smith Wigglesworth said, ‘The earth must be brought to the knowledge of God and it must be done by human instrumentality’. Luke 18:8. Church Gist. Towards the end of the earth, faith in God literally disappears. “Who is God? Where’s he?” Especially when you go towards the Western world, it’s just so pathetic. The knowledge of God must explode afresh in revival fire.
- There’s a drastic scarcity of love for God in the heart of men. Matthew 24:12. Love for self replaces love for God. Love for pleasure replaces love for God. Church Gist. Something they call the social media came with some good things but terrible negative things. Have taken the attention of a generation of people. It’s like the devil gave them an alternative to God, the alternative to focusing on God. Church Gist. Love for God, passion for God disappeared. Do you understand what I’m talking about?
We have a generation where somebody can watch a movie that has three parts, part one is two hours, part two is two hours, part three is two hours, all of it, six hours, he can sit nonstop and watch all of it but if the service exceeds one hour, he begins to look at his watch. Do you understand what I’m talking about?
We have a generation of people, I don’t know about here, but in my country, there are some ladies’ hair that they can do for 3 hours, some 6 hours, some, a whole day, some is two days. Church Gist. I don’t have anything against looking good because I look good myself but I have something against giving anything more devotion and dedication than your Maker and your Creator. And that is the world in which we live in right now. People find it hard to read the Bible but they wake up with the phone – WhatsApp, Instagram and all manner from morning till night. Church Gist. We need the revival that will return people back to the God of the Bible, that will return people back to the reading of their Bibles, that will return people back to the study of the Word. I don’t know who God sent me to here today but I see a fire that is coming upon Kenya, a revival fire that is going to arrest the young people and make them interested in God.
If you believe that, shout the loudest Amen!
Why is there need for revival? Because of the abundance of iniquity. There’s the abundance of iniquity. It said, ‘iniquity shall abound’. We are living in a world where iniquity is overrunning our generation. Church Gist. A father met me and his wife the other day, they sent their son to go and study in Canada from Nigeria. A Christian boy brought up in the way of the Lord. When the parents went to see him in Canada, he has changed address and he has also changed his gender. Said he’s now a girl, wearing the hair like a girl, dressed like a girl. Church Gist. When the mother and father said, “what’s going on?” He called police for them. They cried as if their heart will cut, they returned back home unable to do anything with the boy, unable to impact him in a way. That is the world in which we live in. There’s an explosion of the spirit of perversion, even nations of the world are legislating, that is making laws, to establish them. Church Gist. An explosion in drug addiction, people of all ages, an explosion in fraudulent activities, people are so wise.
I heard a funny story the other day, that a young man was arrested for internet fraud and crime and he told the person who arrested him, said, “if you give me your phone now, I can transfer all your money from all accounts”. He was owning up to the crime and wanted to show the man his expertise. Where the Bible said, ‘these people are wise to do evil but to do good, they’re not wise”. That kind of brain, imagine it’s transferred into invention and transferred into something meaningful. That is the world in which we live in. If the iniquity of the world would not consume God’s people, we need a revival fire.
One day I was preaching in Mararaba Church, I went to dedicate the Church, the climate was so heavy inside the Church and it hit the road. Church Gist. A man was passing, completely drunk, I think he had been a drunkard for over 30-something years, he said the moment he came in the vicinity of the Church where the atmosphere, the preaching was on, something came on him and something left him and he brought himself into the Church to testify. He said, ‘I didn’t know that anything was going on here. I didn’t know a program was going on here, all I knew is that I was passing and I think right now, I don’t have a case for alcohol anymore’. Church Gist. We need the raw power of God, we need revival to check iniquity back to hell and break the back of the devil.
- is there somebody trusting God for revival, shout, “I am here Lord!”
- Why is there a need for revival? Because of the abundance of the wickedness of the earth. Wickedness and lawlessness. 1 John 5:19. Isaiah 60:1-2. Church Gist. When we were all little children, it was difficult to come across a dead body on the roadside. Today, people murder people and put it online. Am I communicating? Am I the only person who is aware of this? There are people who beheaded people and put it forth. I mean, the wickedness that we see in our generation is unbelievable. The level of terror, there are places on the earth today where human body parts are trading commodities. Church Gist. Wickedness and lawlessness on the earth. Places where people are captured and money is demanded before they’re released. There’s a wickedness on the earth today, satan has become very lawless because he knows that his time is short. Church Gist. But, God wants to anoint a rugged Apostle, a rugged Prophet, He wants to anoint a rugged Evangelist to arrest the lawlessness of the devil.
- if you believe that, shout the loudest Amen!
We need revival. One of the young men pastoring under our ministry, he came and reported that the village where he is, young men had taken over the village, cultism. Church Gist. They could do as they wanted, kill anybody they wanted, rape anybody, all manner of evil. He said, “sir, even Church is not safe. People are afraid to go out in the evening”. I told him, I said, “why are you there? If you’re there and the devil is in charge, something is wrong with you”. I prayed on the oil, he went and anointed the territory and checked the devil back to hell. Church Gist. The spirit of God took hold of the community, iniquity ran to hell and then they became emboldened and made a law in the village, ‘not only will you not be a wicked cultist, you must not be caught drinking beer and smoking cigarettes”. If they catch you, they’ll catch you and lash you physically.

How many of us are trusting God for the anointing to discipline the devil, the anointing to chastise the devil, the mantle to send the devil back to hell? If you’re ready for it, shout ‘Yes Lord!’
We need revival to show the devil that there’s a power greater than the power of the enemy.
- somebody say a loud Amen!
- We need revival because of the abundance of affliction in the earth today. Affliction, captivity, pain, hurt. The whole earth today is being overrun with an explosion of affliction more than we have ever known in history. Church Gist. Do I have any witness here at all? When the World Health Organization was founded, about 1945, the number of incurable diseases on the earth, you can count them when you lift your two fingers like this. Today, the number of incurable diseases is uncountable. That is not what is worse. New diseases are being identified daily. If you’re a Medical Doctor and you have not practiced for 10 years, you’ll begin to hear new diseases and new protocols, new terminologies. Church Gist. HIV was unknown in ’70s, it was identified and classified in 1985. Ebola was unknown in the ’60s. There are respiratory viruses that we are hearing about now including the one (that caused lockdown), COVID, several of them were unknown many years ago. There are many coming up afresh because the devil knows that his time is short. Are you hearing what I’m saying? I’m a Medical Doctor by training by God’s grace and my wife too. When I studied medicine over three and a half decades ago, I never saw one dialysis machine. Oh yes. Church Gist. That this is a machine that is used to help somebody pass urine, kidney transplant was almost unheard of. If it happened, it happened once in a blue moon. I particularly never witnessed one. Today, dialysis is like water. Am I communicating at all? ‘Somebody is on dialysis, this one is on dialysis, this one has kidney disease’ that devil is a liar! We need the power of God to rescue our generation. We need the fire of God, we need revival, apostolic revival, prophetic revival, evangelistic revival to check it back to hell! The one that is the most painful is cancer. Cancer of this, cancer of that exploded all of a sudden. Church Gist. We don’t need healing power for entertainment, We don’t need deliverance power for show, we need it to rescue a generation! we need it to save a generation! We need it to deliver a generation!

It may save your wife, it may save your husband, it may save your child, it may save your neighbour, it may save somebody in your community. The devil is doing a lot of overtime. Church Gist. People are spending money on healthcare that they should invest in other things because of the wickedness of the devil. We live in a generation where we need the power of God to show the devil the road back to hell.
- Anybody who is ready for that power, shout the loudest Amen!
6: We need revival because there is an explosion of antichrist agenda. In the last point, Joel 2:6. So much pain on the Earth in front of the end time army. But here now, antichrist agenda. 1 John 2:18. Church Gist. Are you hearing what I’m saying here today? The antichrist agenda is an explosion of God haters, haters of God, haters of Church, haters of…to carry the Bible for some people is a crime. To say you are called of God is a crime. They suspect you as a bad person until proven otherwise. It’s an antichrist agenda. Church Gist. The World feasts on news from the Church, it’s an antichrist agenda. But we need a move of God that will cause the World to see what they can’t deny, to see what they can’t resist, to see what they can’t fault.
I’m sure you know the COVID agenda was mega, mega antichrist agenda, mega. You don’t understand. In your lifetime since you were born…listen to this. When the shutdown was introduced globally, I don’t know about here, but when it was announced globally, the first point of call was Church. Church Gist. In our own place, they didn’t say market should close yet. Supermarket should not close yet, nothing should close yet, but Church must close. (Are you hearing what I’m saying here today?) Church must close. Do you understand that there are people who have not returned back to Church since COVID? Church Gist. There are people who stay at home to connect because they are used to the connection.
Last Houston Texas (Crusade) an American Pastor told me, I can’t remember the figure, but between 36,000 to about 42,000 Churches have not returned back to Church after COVID. That is Church ended with COVID. Church Gist. Do you understand what I’m saying? Pastor has no work any more. Members didn’t return back because of an agenda from the pit of hell that is targeted against God. So, we need the move of God. We need such a move of God that will confront the forces of hell.
- Somebody, shout the loudest Amen!
Lift your hands and say “Father, I am ready for your move in my generation. I am ready for your move.”
7: The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Matthew 9:36-38. Why do we need revival? Because of the vastness of the harvest field and the slowness of the harvest effort. Church Gist. The harvest field is vast, the harvest effort is slow. I’m sure there are places in Kenya here where the Gospel is not registered as it should be registered. There are places here where you’ll be asking someone about Jesus Christ and he’ll say “What is that?” The vastness of the harvest field. Church Gist. He said multitudes are in the valley of decision. Joel 3:14. it takes a very drastic move.
Let me say this with all due respect to all missionaries around the World. That laborious effort to win people one by one and labour in the Mission field, even open air crusades and all of that. If the thing continues at the rate it’s going, it may take a thousand years before the whole world is practically visited. Church Gist. That’s the truth of the matter. But do you understand that there is an anointing that can make a nation submit in one day? That was what Elijah did. “Why do you lean between 2 opinions? If God is God, serve Him. If baal is baal, serve him. But the God who answers by fire, let Him be God” When the fire fell, the whole nation at once said “The Lord, He is the God. Church Gist. We bow for God. It is not Baal that is God. The Lord, He is the God”
Today, I’m trusting God for some of us here, that in a short while to come, starting from here, you step into a city, we step into a nation and under 24 hours, the whole place is on fire for God.

When I read Matthew 3:4-5 concerning John the Baptist. It didn’t say “Then went out people from Jerusalem” Jerusalem arrived as one man. “Then went out to him Jerusalem and all Judea” Not some from Judea. Church Gist. I mean that there is such an anointing, even if we are not there yet, we must get there. Because the Bible said “The Heavens must hold Jesus until the time of the restoration of all things”
I said to people, I said, when we organize programs, people come. When John the Baptist organised programs, cities came. His own, it was cities that were the participants. Jerusalem was a participant, Judea was a participant. Church Gist. Are you hearing what I’m saying here today? Kenya get ready for the mantles that would disciple cities and disciple nations and disciple territories. Anybody ready for such a mantle, shout the loudest Amen!
Paul the Apostle preached once. Acts 13:44. Almost the whole city came to hear him. That is, the whole City arrived except for some few people.
- Look at your neighbour and say “Cities are coming, Provinces are coming. Territories are coming. Church Gist. They are coming”
Hallelujah! Nakuru, Mombasa, Kilifi, Eldoret, Garissa. (These cities are coming) Is Maasai Mara a place? It’s coming!
Listen to this, there was a man by the name, Gilmore Savonarola. He was pastoring in a town called Florence in Italy. The Town had 12,000 occupants, inhabitants, 12,000. On Sunday, the Church attendance was 12,500. Church Gist. Can you explain what happened? The City came plus people from others. Other people came from outside, he overran the City. That is what God is doing here in Kenya. If God can give Geneva to John Calvin and give Scotland to John Knox, then I want you to get ready.
I’m stopping here this morning, the question is what do you want? What is your passion? Church Gist. What is your love? What are you looking for? What do you want God to do in your life?

You know at first, I enumerated the cry for revival. “Lord, I don’t want to continue business as usual. I am grateful for all you have done in my life, but I believe there is more. Church Gist. I believe there is another level. I believe there is another dimension. I am crying for revival fire power”
Lift your hands and say after me “Father, I am here before you. I need an impartation of fresh revival fire power. Church Gist. I receive the freshness of revival power and fire on my life”
