WHEN REVIVAL HAPPENS, GOD SHOWS YOU THE SIDE OF HIM YOU DON’T KNOW.
I HAD KNOWN A DIMENSION OF GOD BEFORE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE GLORY DOME. IN THE COURSE OF THAT CONSTRUCTION, I KNEW ANOTHER DIMENSION OF HIM.
DON’T EVER ASSUME THAT YOU KNOW GOD. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CLAIM THAT ARE THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW HIM.

Father, we give you the praise, Father we give you the honour. Father, we ask that you glorify your name and glorify your Son, Jesus Christ. Church Gist. The Bible said, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Lord, I’ve not come here in my name, in the name of our Church or denomination, I have come in the name that is above every name, Jesus, the resurrected Lord. I ask Lord that in this name, the territorial powers of Canada will bow to the authority of Jesus in the name of Jesus. Father, let someone be saved, let someone be delivered, let someone be healed, let someone be liberated by your power. Church Gist. Thank you Master for hearing. Be glorified Lord, in Jesus precious name.

I’d like to welcome everyone here one more time this evening and congratulate everyone for being here tonight because I’m aware that God is up to something. Church Gist. We have flown straight, 11 and a half hours non-stop from Abuja, Nigeria to come in here tonight. We planned to be here earlier than this. Actually, we planned to be here yesterday, to spend the whole day praying and preparing but we had several, let me call it maybe confrontations, resistance. Flight arrangements that failed severally. We had a flight that was to leave Abuja 12 noon yesterday, failed. Church Gist. Another one that was to leave by 12 midnight last night to be here first things in the morning also (failed), all manner of things. At the last moment, in fact, I left the airport and went home, today, before it has been made possible for us to be here. So, I’m sure that somebody’s destiny is at stake. I am sure that the destiny of Canada is at stake. Church Gist. Toronto’s destiny is at stake and what the devil is fearing shall happen in your life, in your family, in your ministry, in your destiny.

- I don’t know who it is that God sent me to but I’m sure there’s at least one person that God sent me to and that one person, this day, this season shall mark the turning point of your life, a turning around in your life, in your family and in your destiny.

1 Kings 18:17-21,23-24. Knowing fully well that we have been here for a long time today, I’m going to be very sharp and then probably continue tomorrow. 1 Kings 18:17-21,23-24. Church Gist. I believe that we are in the season where Jehovah God will answer you by fire. Answer Canada by fire. You believe, say a loud Amen.
I speak very quickly on the subject, “THE PURPOSE OF REVIVAL FIRE”. This is Canada Revival Fire Conference and we are looking at the Purpose of Revival Fire. The objective is just like it states, why revival fire? Church Gist. I want to say by introduction that revival is a season of intense, divine presence and activity on the earth. What is called revival is that season where divine presence intensifies, where divine activities intensify on the face of the earth.
The question is, what is the purpose of the intensification of divine presence and divine activity? Because God is a God of purpose, God is a God of design. Church Gist. Like God’s servant, Morris Cerullo of blessed memory will say, God is a God of objectivity, He doesn’t do anything just for the fun of it. Revival is not just for fun or for show, it is designed for a definite divine purpose and agenda. Looking at the days of Elijah, what caused the fire to fall? Church Gist. What did God want to achieve with the fall of the fire? I’m going to look at a few of the points tonight and probably continue tomorrow.
- Reintroducing the Almighty to a wayward generation.
Revival happens when God Almighty decides to reintroduce Himself. Church Gist. Reintroducing the Almighty, the Creator to a wayward, a straying generation. Elijah said, “gather me all Israel”. He said, “because you have forsaken the commandment of the Lord. Let something happen that can make the people to be reintroduced to their Creator, their Maker”. Church Gist. Beloved brethren, one of the worst tragedies on earth is the ignorance of the creature about the Creator. Church Gist. When the creature is ignorant of the Creator, life is lived at random, life ends in regret, eternity becomes a loss. Church Gist. We live in the world today, Canada inclusive, America inclusive, Nigeria and parts of the world where we have people who don’t even understand that there’s a God who exists, a Creator.
In Judges 2:8-10, the Bible talked about when Joshua had died and there arose another generation that knew not the Lord, that didn’t know the work of the Lord. Church Gist. Friends, we have a generation today who know computer, they know the Internet, they know sports, they know soccer, we have a generation today, they know Android and Apple and WhatsApp and Instagram but it’s a generation that knows not the Lord.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4. The gods of this world blinded them. So, that is the world we live in today. Church Gist. Revival happens when God decides to reintroduce Himself to His creature, to reintroduce Himself to the world, to let the world know who owns the earth, who is the owner of the universe, who owns the nations.
- I believe today, in the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ the resurrected Lord, someone is going to walk out of here and God is going to use you as an instrument to introduce Jehovah to your generation. Church Gist. Whether you’re a Pastor, whatever be your assignment, God, I believe, is about to lay hands on someone and send you to your community, family, brothers, sisters, your school and your industry and cause you to introduce Jehovah.

Almost all nations of the earth had experienced the move of God at one point or the other. Church Gist. If I’m to talk about Canada, I’m sure that Oswald J. Smith was here at a point right? Is there anyone who knows the spiritual history of Canada? Great men, great women passed through this land. Power, the manifestations of God, as it flowed in North America from the United States of America, it flowed through Canada. Church Gist. Great people passed through here, impacted the world yet there’s a generation today who have no idea that this place was once a missionary sending land that has become a mega mission field right now. That is why we are here tonight because God wants to reintroduce Himself to the Land. Church Gist. He’s about to reintroduce Himself to Canada and if there’s anyone here who is going to be such an instrument in the hand of God, shout the loudest Amen!
- Demonstrating the reality to the Almighty to His own.
The first thing God was going was to reintroduce Himself to the world, the second thing now God wants to do, it’s not the world now, it’s His people. The revelation of His reality to His own people. Church Gist. You know, we have many who believe in the Lord, who follow the Lord but they don’t really know the Lord. They believe the Lord, they follow the Lord but they don’t really know the reality of the Lord. They talk about God but they haven’t met God. For 40 years, Moses carried a vision until one day, Moses encountered the Lord and he’s telling God, “you are sending me but who are you?” “You want me to be a pastor but who are you? You want me to represent you in my institution, in my school but I don’t know you”. Church Gist. And one of the worst things that can happen to anybody is trying to introduce a God you don’t know. Church Gist. “I have served you for years but God who are you?” And I’m sure there are people seated here tonight, you pray in the Spirit, you go to Church, you don’t smoke, you don’t drink, you don’t do any of these things but there is a God you don’t know.
After 33 years of ministering, Paul the Apostle cried and he said: “That I may know Him and the Power of His Resurrection and the Fellowship of His Suffering being made conformable.” After so many years, Moses was still saying: “If I have found favour in Your sight, show me Your glory.” You don’t understand what I am talking about. One day I asked my wife, I said to (her), “Pray for me and pray with me.” She said: “What do I pray for you about?” I said: “I want to know God.” She said: “You want to know God? Then what do we know?” I said: “Because I want to know God. Church Gist. There is a dimension of God I don’t know! There is a dimension of God that I’m yearning for. There is the reality about God that I want to experience and encounter.” That was many, many, many years ago. I’ve crossed that realm; longest time. But when revival happens, God shows you the side of Him you don’t know. He reveals to you a dimension of Himself. You may have known several things about God but He begins to reveal to you a dimension of Himself that you don’t know. So He said: “Elijah, I want Israel to know Me so I’m going to use you to show something.” Exodus 4:13-15. Judges 6:12-14. Somebody lift your hands and say: “Oh Lord! Reveal Yourself to me. Show me Your reality. Let me see the side of You I don’t yet know.
Listen! When you access a dimension of His revelation, you step into a dimension of His manifestation that you haven’t seen before. What you have seen so far is a function of the extent of Him you know. If you will be privileged to know Him a little bit more, you will step into a dimension of His manifestation you have not seen before. You know? T.L. Osborn went to India as a missionary for 3 years and all the Gospel, everything he preached, not one soul, not one Indian soul was saved. Church Gist. And he returned back from India as a miserably failed missionary. “Lord! I’m not going to do it again, I thought You called me.” And he remained in that misery until he began to read the Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He went through that Gospel three times in one month and while he read and he prayed. He got a revelation of Jesus Christ, a revelation of God that changed his life.
He saw something, he heard something, he experienced something, he encountered something that changed his life and added to that, he stepped into the healing revival of one of the healing evangelists in those days. And he heard a thousand voices telling him: “You too can do this, this was what Jesus did in the Gospel, this is what He lived for, you can do that.” And he went back to India again after he had failed for 3 years, he returned back to India. He was a different person! Church Gist. He printed handbills: “Jesus saves, He heals, He delivers.” 50,000 Indians gathered and he asked them to bring what they considered the worst case in their midst, they brought up a man who was healed on the spot. And he asked the Indians: “How many of you would like to give your life to Christ?” Everyone lifted their two hands! 50,000 people? One night. He couldn’t win one person in 3 years. But when he saw the side of God he had never seen before, he stepped into it – He stepped into a dimension of manifestation that he had not seen before.
I came all the way from Nigeria to let someone know (that) within the next 24 hours, Jesus will reveal Himself in a dimension you haven’t seen before. He will reveal Himself in a way you haven’t seen before. Church Gist. He’s going to show you the side of Him that will change your life, change your ministry, change your destiny, change everything about you. If you’re saying Amen, shout the loudest Amen.
Look at somebody by your side, say: “My God is about to show you another side of Himself. He’s about to reveal Himself to you in ways you have never known!
And I think that this is one of the most critical things God will do, not just affecting the World but affecting His people. “This is the Me you have been serving that you never knew.” Before the construction of the Glory Dome. Some of you know of it, I had known a dimension of God but in the course of that Construction, I got to know another dimension of God. I had faith for many things – Faith for blind seeing, deaf hearing and so on. But in that process of construction I got to know a dimension of God that I had never known before. Church Gist. We needed to dedicate that Sanctuary in 10 days time as at that time. 10 days to dedication, we still needed money in millions of dollars for certain things to be done and if we had (used) the little amount in the reserve; that was like one tenth of what was needed. And our Church accountant said: “Can we pull that out?” I said: “No! That wouldn’t be enough to do anything, let’s trust God. In 10 days, everything needed came in excess. Everything! It came in excess until there was change. I’m sure you understand what that means. I saw different dimensions of God that I had never seen!
-Overnight tonight! Jehovah shall visit someone in the dream! In a prophetic encounter, in a prophetic visitation. Church Gist. Jehovah shall visit you in a dream of the night and change your story! If you’re saying Amen shout the loudest Amen!
Lift your hands and say: Father! I receive your revelation like I have never known before.
And let me help somebody, don’t ever assume that you know God. The only people who claim that they have known God are those who don’t know Him. Because the more of God you know, the more you will realize how much of Him you don’t know. Church Gist. That is true! Every knowledge of God reveals your ignorance of Him. I can tell you, if they gave you a thousand years, every single day 🎶 They are new every morning, great is Thy faithfulness oh Lord! Great is Thy faithfulness. 🎶
What is the purpose of the revival?
- Reintroducing the Almighty.
- Demonstrating the reality of God.
- Changing the minds and opinion of a generation towards God.
Elijah said: “Why do you limp between two opinions?” Lord, we need a move that can change the opinion of people! Changing the minds and the opinions of a generation of people towards God. Why do you limp between two opinions? Why are you in a confusion? We live in a confused world today, we need something drastic to change minds and change opinions. Church Gist. And let me say this to you, a major assignment of the devil is to cause mankind to doubt God. I’m sure that you have a lot of that in Canada. To cause humanity to doubt God! Doubt the sincerity of God, to doubt the reliability of God. It’s an agenda from hell! It’s an assignment of the devil! Cause humanity to doubt God, to doubt the sincerity of God. To doubt the reliability of God, to doubt the authenticity of His Word. That was what they did to Eve in Genesis 3:1-5. Do you see that?
The assignment of the devil is to make man believe that God is not who you think He is. Satan is a liar! It’s to make man think that we can do without God, you don’t really need God. Church Gist. That is the agenda of the devil. But in revival, in the climate of revival, God arrives to reveal His authenticity, He arrives to clear doubts, whether it’s a generational revival or a personal revival. Maybe there is somebody seated here now, there is an area of your life where the devil has introduced the seed of doubts. “If God loves you, why did He allow this? If God loves you, why is that? Church Gist. “If God loves you, why is this? If God is really God, why did this or that? Why this and why that?” But that devil is a liar! When revival happens, God reveals His authenticity, He reveals His almightiness, His supremacy, His sovereignty. He just makes the World to know that He’s on a superior level to satan the devil.
That was what Elijah was trying to say. “The God who answers by fire, let Him be the superior God. Let this be a contest of power and let’s see who is more powerful. If it is the god of baal, serve him. If it is the God of Heaven, serve Him”. Church Gist. In revival, God shows His supremacy, His superiority. He shows His compassion. He reveals His character. He just says “See me, this is who I am. I am the Lord your God, the consuming fire, see me. Church Gist. When I have revealed myself to you, I leave you to your opinion. You can decide whether I’m the real God or not” Am I communicating at all?
Now, I don’t know who God sent me to from Nigeria, but I am here to announce to somebody, in this season, every doubt regarding God in your life shall be cleared by His manifestation.
-If someone is saying Amen, say a louder Amen!
-Every doubt regarding the authenticity, regarding the reality, regarding the love, there is even someone doubting “Does God really love me? Does He know I exist?” Church Gist. In this season of revival, I decree to you, that doubt shall be cleared by His power”
-You believe it, shall the loudest Amen!
Lift your hands and say “Oh God, I believe you’re real, reveal your reality to me today!” Hallelujah!
Is God speaking to anyone here?
I can tell you a thousand times, the devil is no match for God. For 430 years, the forces of the enemy kept Israel bound in captivity, lied to the people that they could never be free, that their destiny was going to remain at the same spot, for 430 years. Church Gist. But just one move of God, it didn’t happen for a year, the move of God for a few days wiped out lies of 400 years. The move of God of a few days, it knocked off satanic agenda of years, of decades. The move of God of a few days, it cleaned out every agenda of hell.
- I am here to announce, within the next 2, 3 days, God is doing something that will wipe out every agenda of hell in your life. Church Gist. If you’re saying Amen, say a louder Amen!
Look at your neighbour and say “God can wipe out in a day what the enemy had done for a generation” Look at somebody and say “God can undo in a day what the enemy had done for a whole generation”
That is what this program is for. I don’t know what the devil has done in your house, in your life. What he did with your father, did with your father’s father. Church Gist. I see a mantle, a spiritual ministerial mantle upon a family, it’s like 2 or 3 generations of ministers and ministry, but the enemy has fought you, fought your destiny, fought your family. Church Gist. It was as if it was a crime for your father to serve God, for your family to be devoted to God. I stand here by the mantle of God, the prophetic and apostolic mantle of fire, I declare it is over!
Now, when God changes your mind towards Him, what He is going to do in your life will cause people to change their minds about you. When God reveals Himself in ways that make your mind about God to be changed, He will cause those who see you to change their mind. Church Gist. Every wrong perception, everything, they think you are wasting your time with God, they think you are wasting your time going to Church, they think you are wasting your time serving the Lord, once God is through with you, He will make those who think otherwise to change their mind.
Finally for today, what God does in revival is rekindling the fire of intimacy with God. Revival is a rekindling of the fire of intimacy. The restoration of spiritual fervency, restoring spiritual fervency, restoring spiritual intensity in prayer, in fasting, Kingdom service, soul winning and worship. Church Gist. Do you understand what happened before the fire fell? Elijah repaired the Altar. There are so many altars that need to be repaired. I came to Canada at this time by God’s direction because there is an altar that needs to be repaired. There is somebody’s altar of prayer, altar of soul winning, altar of worship, altar of fasting, altar of fire that need to be repaired.
1 Kings 18:30. Leviticus 6:12. Romans 12:11. Is God speaking to anybody here at all? Lift your hands and say “Father, I need the fire now” Acts 2:42. Church Gist. In the early Church, the fire burnt. I give you 4 things that can make the fire go down and then we’ll rise up and kindle the fire.
1: Generational apathy and indifference. Societal apathy, societal indifference. Communities and societies where people don’t think that it is important to serve God. Church Gist. When there is so much coldness spiritually and coldness and lukewarmness, when the climate is just so down and you allow yourself to come under such an influence, it swallows up your spiritual fire.
2: The plague of overactivity, extreme busyness. Just so active, chasing jobs and trusting God to pay this bill and that bill and all the things and just in pursuit of several things. Church Gist. Hours passing, weeks passing, no altar of relationship with God, it destroys your intimacy.
3: Enemy confrontation, discouraging situations. The enemy confronts you to a point where he just wants you to abandon your prayer life. Church Gist. He says “You see, you’ve served God all these years, but see, you’re still struggling” and you say “You know what? Let me reduce going to Church and let me try and solve some problems” That devil is a liar!
4: The plague of compromise and iniquity. Every time you begin to compromise and you begin to live in ways you’re not meant to live, it quenches your fire. Church Gist. Somebody, say a loud Amen!
- and so right now, for somebody seated here today, the side of God you have not seen before, He’s going to introduce Him to you. Church Gist. If you’re saying Amen, say a loud Amen!
He’s going to do things in your life that will change your mind and change the mind of your world and there is going to be a baptism of raw fire. Is there anybody in need of raw fire here? I don’t care how much fire you have, you always need more fire. Matthew 11:12.
Anybody in need of fire, stand up on your feet and scream the loudest Amen!
