People are all over the world looking for what they call ‘I must make it.’ The Ancient Word says walk in obedience to His dictates, you make your way prosperous, then you have good success. Joshua 1:8. Success is not a citizen of any nation, neither is it an offspring of any profession. Oh let the Word of Life impart. Ancient Word changing lives forever. Now listen, your success is not in your profession. Church Gist. I belong to what we will call a colourless profession. It is now that people are jumping in whether they are called or not. In our time, a call was more like a curse. Ancient Word, ever true. The key to anywhere God has planned to take you and me is in the Bible. A disregard for this book is a disregard for one’s destiny. This is where it is. I was never married before but I got the keys to hitch-free marriage from this book. I was like a mad man. Something about this book is that those who follow it fully are like mad men. Even Christ, the Word came, they said he was mad. His friends came to go and pick him up. Because this man is mad. He has been talking since morning, he didn’t stop. He didn’t eat and He didn’t repeat it. Let’s go and pick him before he enters the market. In the South West, when madness enters the market it can’t be cured. So if anybody runs mad, they start blocking access to the market. The market is the end of the road. This is the book. I saw my royal destiny in this book at the age of 16. I saw me on the way to kingship. I saw me walk into favour in this book at 22. Wait, this may blow your mind. I saw me on top of the world in 1984. We can close here. If you will understand what this book represents, we can close. Church Gist. It is not a story book, it is a manual. If you want to be successful, this is it. Have direction for your life. Learn the way to get to where you are going. Discipline yourself, Be diligent. Go beyond where others stop, you will stand out among them. Isn’t that simple. It is a manual.
Lord let that ancient Word impart again tonight. Changing every one of us into next levels of glory in the name of Jesus.
As powerful as His Word is, it answers only to obedience of faith. It is helplessly helpless without our obedience. Jesus said “Why are you calling me Lord! Lord! without doing the things that I asked you to do?” Luke 6:46. So powerful but forever helpless without our obedience of faith. We came into the Charismatic Movement and people thought, just believe and you will be okay. We kept believing and we are not okay. Church Gist. When we came in, we were all babies in it so God was treating us like babies. As we grew up, it began to show that faith is only validated by obedience. James 2:18. Faith without obedience is dead and no dead thing can give birth to something alive. Revelation without obedience is dead and nothing dead can add value to life.
Yes, The Word is very powerful and people can quote it from Genesis to Revelation. It is revelation that works but applied revelation. What we know from this book does not change us, it is what we do with what we know that does. Light is sweet only as we walk in it. Holding a torchlight in your portfolio or office bag at night holds no value. You bring it out and turn it on then it begins to add value to your life. Church Gist. Writing notes forever, even writing a book does not change the writer. It is putting to work what he writes by what he receives that changes him. Preaching doesn’t change the preacher, it is doing what he preaches from the Word that changes him. Ancient Word ever true, changing me and changing you. We have come with an open heart, oh Let the Word of Life impart.
James 1:22, 25. It will impart on whatever that man does. That is why we may not have prayed for some great happenings in our lives but we definitely must have obeyed ourselves into them. Isaiah 65:24. One time, I asked the Lord “Won’t you be patient for someone to ask before you answer?” He said “No! There is a company of people that before they call, I will answer. While they are yet speaking I will perform.” Walking in obedience of faith to whatever God says makes a living wonder of believers. Church Gist. Revelation has been pouring down upon the Charismatic Movement over the years and many have been frustrated by it. Because I confess I possess and there is possession. “I confess I rise, there is no rising. I confess I am rich. He made me rich by dying on the cross.” Good luck! Did He tell you what it takes to enter into it? “No, I don’t care.” You better care. “Himself took my infirmity”. Great. Did He tell you how to connect with that and realize it? An army of men and women are rising, please don’t be left out. These are sold out men and women, young and old upon whose lives, God’s hand will be evident. They are not struggling with life, they are just soaring.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2. If you will diligently hearken, observe to do what I command you, leave me to the rest. I will set you on high above all nations of the earth and all these blessings will come to you and overtake you. You won’t be running after them. We are stepping into an era where things you have been running after will run into you and overtake you. You are not looking for them. He told me 43 years ago, “You don’t have to know anybody to scale the utmost heights in life, just know me.” Isn’t that a sarcastic statement? Church Gist. In those days, who you know is what matters. The Lord said ‘You don’t need to know nobody to scale the utmost heights in life. Just know me.” Daniel 11:32. I am yet to arrive at anybody’s door, “Hey, we are at a fix. We need your assistance.” He is enough for me, Jesus of Nazareth is enough for me. No games. You can’t walk in the truth of scriptures and not triumph.
You can’t walk in the truth of the Scripture and be trapped. Church Gist. You can’t walk in the truth of the Scripture and not become the envy of your world. Psalm 34:8.
- You’re the man God is talking about. Church Gist. You’re entering your blessed era of life where blessings will be coming to you and overtaking you.
Obedience of faith will always commit God’s integrity to perform. 2 Timothy 2:13. Exodus 14:15. Psalm 114:3. Psalm 114:4. Obedience of faith will always commit God’s integrity to do the impossible. Church Gist. Exodus 16:35. “Okay, we have crossed the Red Sea, how do we survive?” “You obeyed me to cross the Sea, what won’t I do with your life? These blessings will come to you and overtake you” So, He fed them twice a day. He fed them till they got to the gate of Canaan where they arrived 40 years. Exodus 16:35. Leave God to it.
Our obedience will get the devil out of the equation of our lives, get the devil completely out of the equation of our lives. “Obey me, forget about the devil, I will set you on high above all nations of the Earth. Church Gist. Just obey me” You say “What of the devil?” My God, stop that! “Can the devil stand where I’m talking?” God is saying that to us. “Where can the devil stand when there’s faith? Obey me, my friend! Ignore the devil, he also knows, when I stretch forth my hands, is there any devil in hell that can turn it back?” Isaiah 14:24,27. Church Gist. Obedience of faith will get the devil out of the equation of our lives as if he never existed. If the devil had any gut, he would have grounded me into powder longest time. I’m one of his greatest problems on the Earth today, by insulting him publicly, insulting him in tongues, insulting him in plain language and insulting him by my lifestyle. There is no devil where obedience thrives. Church Gist. “It’s the devil. It’s one witch in my house” Witch, ‘witching’ from where? Can any power of darkness stand the authority of light? Forget it.
Satan, I have come here tonight to insult and assault you by the Word of the Lord. John 1:5. Church Gist. So, every force of the devil holding you down, as you turn over to a life of obedience, they are levelled out.
-So, you’re leaving here tonight a new man.
-As you yield your heart after God, they will turn off your path in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 8:16. His Word is the light of life, so when His Word goes forth, you receive the Word, satan flees. We had a case years ago in one of our outreaches and then, this madman God delivered in the outreach, in the crusade or so in the night and then we brought him to our camp and then, the evil spirit came back to him which is possible. Church Gist. So, he turned violent. All the ones who had muscles, not like me, they’ll hold him down, (he’ll) shake them off. So they called me “Brother David, there’s a problem here” “Okay, I’m coming” I said “Leave him” and I shot one arrow at him from Jude verse 6. “What are you doing here?” All the devils left. Word of life, ever true, changing me and changing you. Life! “Will you like to eat?” “Yes,” The devil left. The violent lion now, one shot of Scriptures, one arrow, he left. Not 2 or 3 witnesses, one witness. Amen. The Holy Spirit just brought that Scripture to me. Church Gist. I didn’t know what it was but He brought it to me straight and I shot it at him. Every devil troubling you is in trouble if you will just set your heart to walk in obedience to what God says.
When you are on the go, he goes with you. You’re out for Him, He goes all out for you. Luke 19:19. Church Gist. So, the authority is not coming from just knowing Scriptures, it’s coming from walking by the dictates of Scriptures.

The people at the wedding in Canaan of Galilee simply obeyed Jesus to have their shame and reproach rolled away. You’re at a marriage reception, drink is finished, everything is finished. Church Gist. Amen. Nobody will listen to the Chairman, they will just be going. John 2:7. “Ehn? Is it water we are looking for?” They simply obeyed. Every true Word dummy commands dominion without sweat. Church Gist. Word dummy. What God says, he does, even when it does not apply to common sense, God steps in to confirm His Word.
The Man that was born blind heard the Word. John 9:7. How can you be telling a blind man to go to Siloam? Who will take him there? Let him go and find out. Church Gist. Does he know the difference between Siloam and Jordan? Because he can’t see. He has never seen in his life. Be asking questions. Until you do what He says, you cannot commit Him to act.
Thank God for the power of the Holy Ghost. But there’s the power that comes along with redemption. John 1:12. We turn that power loosed by obedience. You watch every empowerment declaration of Christ, it was released on their obedience to His instructions. Church Gist. Matthew 10:1. So, we turn loose the power content of our redemption through obedience. Every genuine lover of God walks naturally in obedience. This is where our strength of obedience comes from -John 14:21. 1 John 5:3,4. So, we become overcomers by keeping His commandments, a validation of our love for Him, simple. Church Gist. That’s why you don’t have to be empowered by the Holy Ghost to live the overcomer’s life. Have a heart for God. Praise God. Have a heart for God and show that you do by obeying His commandments and by so doing, you have committed Him. He’s a covenant keeping God, He can’t back out on His Word.
Now, you watch the following lovers of God in Scriptures. How obedience became natural with them.
1: Abraham, a friend of God, God’s confidant. He had no issue obeying God. Love is a spiritual facilitator of obedience. Obedience becomes stress free where love is in place. Isaiah 41:8. James 2:23.
2: David, a man after God’s own heart. Psalm 119:97-100. You are in love, obedience becomes natural.
Then we have the like of Daniel, an unashamed lover of Christ. Daniel 6:20. Everybody in the corridor of power knew where Daniel belonged. It’s not because he had one appointment somewhere, he’s now doing like the World…..what one with an appointment has never done. Church Gist. Unashamed lover of God! Daniel 1:8, Daniel 6:4,10. An unashamed lover of God. Daniel 6:20…he (Daniel) sounded from there (the den).
Then came these young men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, unyielding lovers of God and God heeded their bodies that could not be consumed by fire. Church Gist. You dwell in love, you dwell in God and God dwells in you. So you become indestructible.
- Somebody’s story is just changing now!
Then of course, we have Paul, the Apostle. I call him a die-hard lover of God. Romans 8:35-37…death – nonsense! Now, if you check those folks, you will find out one common denominator. Songs of Solomon 8:6-7. Church Gist. Love is stronger than death. Paul said, for me to live is Christ, to die is gain. “Christ was obedient unto death even the death of the cross.” And the Word said, “how He loved Him.”
Love facilitates obedience to the extreme and lifting beyond human imagination in return. Nothing endears a believer to God than his obedience. John 10:17-18. Church Gist. ‘I won the Father’s love by my utmost obedience to His agenda.’ Any believer can win the heart of God and make the utmost mark in life. Any believer and that includes you and I.
As I round up tonight, from Scripture you understand that commitment to soul winning and turning men to righteousness is the capital proof of our love for God. John 21:15-17…three times! So anybody’s heart for God, anybody’s heart for souls is a capital proof of love for God. God confided in Abraham, I am going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. He said, Lord, wait a minute. Church Gist. They have all sinned, what if you find fifty people who are righteous? If I find 50 people, Abraham, I will spare them. He said, God, wait a minute, what if you find 40, they are less than 10, are they not now righteous anymore? If I find 40, I’ll spare them. He said, ‘God make you nor vex o but if there are 30, would you?’ He said, I won’t if I see 30. Lord, I take upon myself as flesh, please understand me. If there are 20, what happens? If I find 20, I won’t. You mean, they can’t find 20 in all these places because the way God is talking now, He hasn’t found 20. Lord, what if you find 10? If I find 10, I will spare. Abraham said, I don’t know whether I can go further. Okay, what concerns him? God just told him, “I’m going to destroy them.” Why don’t you just call them and tell them, you will be destroyed? He went after their souls.
David said, “I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings and I will not be ashamed.” You will be holding (a) council meeting, hold on a minute, you know what happened this morning? Church Gist. “🎶🎼🎵The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” King, what is happening? “I’m praising God. See how He had led me through the war. How we won the war, He led me.”
Paul, the Apostle said, “woe is me if I preach not the Gospel for necessity is laid upon me (by who? By himself) and woe unto me…if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward.” 1 Corinthians 9:16-17. Church Gist. You find all these individuals panting after the souls of men as a proof of their love for God and see where God positioned them. We are all aware…1 Corinthians 2:9.
Every true lover who is a stressless obedient disciple of Christ ends up a pacesetter, a pathfinder and a trailblazer. No devil can stop that. Many waters can’t quench love neither can the floods drown it. It’s stronger than death. They stoned Paul and left him for death. Church Gist. If you came to kill someone, you would make sure he died before you left. Disciples came around him not Saul (Paul), sorry, sorry. No! He was dead. The Lion rose. Let’s go to our next meeting. Wonder never seized. Acts 14:19-20.
So our act of disobedience is a proof of our lack of love for God or inadequate love for God or low level love for God. Church Gist. If you are in love with Jesus, obey Him. It’s as cheap as breathing.
- That’s the new world you are entering into!
Acts 14:11, Acts 19:15. There is no lover that the devil does not know. Every true lover is reckoned with by the devil. He recognizes and respects them. If you are a lover of God, you are wearing God. You dwell in God, He dwells in you and you in Him. Church Gist. You are wearing God and that is demonstrated by your seamless, delightsome, sweet life of obedience. Nothing can touch your lover without your response. Whatever your lover demands, it’s natural to respond to it. Check it out.
- Your tomorrow is great!
Can I tell you this? You have all the redemptive potentials to be listed among the men and women on top of the World. Deuteronomy 27:1-2,13. Church Gist. You are not practicing to be head. No! Stop dreaming to be head, just commit to obedience. He knows where to put you. Amen!
- Somebody’s story has just changed!
- Just watch, between now and the end of June, you are going to see God in a way you have never known before!
If you simply commit in obedience to His agenda for the hour, He always opens up surprises to the obedient. Thank you Jesus! I don’t think anybody is in this Place tonight apart from newcomers, new converts who cannot see possibility in securing one established soul to the Kingdom and this Church on or before 30th of June. It will be quite a sleepy state for anyone to ‘I don’t care.’ Church Gist. You better care – by caring about whatever God says, we found before ourselves here as a Church. Caring! Commitment! Not just having feelings – commitment.
- May your new…grace for obedience lead the way to greater days ahead and secure eternity in grand style!

- As we partake of the flesh and the blood tonight, expect the obedience order of Christ to come alive in you and me for a new way of living!
- May each one be listed among those that are ordained to dominate this World and keep the devil under our feet in the precious name of Jesus! Thank you Father in the name of Jesus!

When God lifts a man, no devil can bring him down. But if I jump up by myself, I am sure to come down. Church Gist. When God lifts you, His invisible arm keeps you going and going until you go above the shadow into His very presence reigning in life with Christ!

- May we receive grace to take responsibility that will lead to the full delivery of each one’s prophetic fortune package ordained for this season in the name of Jesus!
