WHERE YOU ARE GOING IN LIFE DETERMINES WHOM YOU CAN ALLOW INTO YOUR SPACE IN ASSOCIATION.

VISIONLESSNESS IS CARELESSNESS OF LIFE.
WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE IN LIFE AFFECTS HOW YOU CHOOSE TO LIVE.
CORRUPTION WILL TAMPER WITH YOUR DISTINCTION AND AFFECT YOUR DESTINATION.

I welcome everyone here tonight in the precious name of Jesus. Somebody say Amen. Praise the Lord!
“THE PROFIT OF VISION AND DIVINE DIRECTION” is our subject of consideration today. Church Gist. We’d like to understand the profit of vision and divine direction. I’ll be speaking generally concerning vision and I’m sure that it’ll be applicable to divine direction. Church Gist. Again, our objective is understanding the profit of vision and divine direction. Matthew 6:22.
Living by vision and direction informs and instructs in the way of profit. When we live by vision and divine direction, it instructs us in the way of profit. Church Gist. Abraham, Joseph, David, Daniel and others who walked the way of wisdom, they walked in the way of profit. That is, living on purpose, living in today with the future in mind. It makes people to walk with profit. Church . I’m going to give eight profits of vision. Hallelujah. Just lift your hand one minute and just ask God to speak to you. Hallelujah!
What is the profit of vision and divine direction?
- Vision brings illumination to life. A man’s life is illuminated, lighted by his vision. Church Gist. So, vision connects with illumination, light, insight, inspiration. Matthew 6:22. People of vision don’t dwell in darkness and confusion. Vision men and women are lighted people. Hallelujah! Vision connects you with positive brainwaves, high frequency mentality. Church Gist. There’s a connection between vision and discretion. So, vision brings illumination.
- Vision brings distinction to life. A man of vision generally stands out in his generation among his contemporaries. Church Gist. People of vision stand out in their generation, they stand out among their contemporaries. Genesis 37:7. Vision makes your life and destiny to stand upright. If you have vision, even from childhood, those who know you know you’re going somewhere, they know this man or this girl is going somewhere. Church Gist. We say vision brings light and illumination, we saw that in Matthew 6:22 and light brings distinction. Isaiah 60:1. Vision brings illumination and distinction. You stand out, you don’t fall out, don’t end obscure, you’re not lost in the crowd. Church Gist. There’s something about you that just makes you to stand out.
When I was the president of the Nigerian Conference of Christian Medical and Dental Students, we had a conference and one of the guest ministers who came then saw all of us and pointed at me and said, “you’re the president, isn’t it?” Church Gist. There was something that he saw, there was something that stood out. If you have a vision, if you’re a man (of vision), anywhere you are, there’s something about you that is unmistaken. Vision brings distinction.
- Vision brings motion, action and acceleration to life.
I want to make a statement and I don’t want you to forget it: Life is dynamic with vision but redundant without vision because vision brings action, motion and progress to life. Vision is the sponsor of the dynamism of life. Life is dynamic with vision but redundant without vision. It has momentum, it has energy, it has drive. Church Gist. Life brings acceleration with vision but is confined to stagnation without vision. So in case it appears like your life is not moving the way you like it to move, you can move it forward by vision. Habakkuk 2:1-3. Life is dynamic with vision and redundant without vision. - Vision brings possession.
What you see consistently becomes what you have eventually. If you see it consistently, you have it eventually. Genesis 13:14-15. What you see coming eventually arrives. You see it coming, that is the law of vision. Church Gist. You saw it coming. Proverbs 4:23. When the heart is full, life is full. It is an empty heart that is the reason for an empty life. Vision guarantees possession. What man sees determines what God gives. If man can see it, God will give it. Vision brings possession. - Vision defines association.
Where you are going determines who can go with you. It defines association. Where you are going in life determines whom you can allow into your space in association. This is where many people miss it. They continually hang around people who are not going where they are going, so their journey of life gets arrested. Church Gist. One of the greatest wisdom God gave me along my life’s journey is the wisdom of association. Genesis 12:1-3. God is giving Abraham a vision but there are people that could not fit in to his destination so he has to disconnect in association. Proverbs 13:20. Somebody say a loud Amen!
Beloved, please listen to this! Anyone not going your direction is not qualified for your association. Anybody! Anyone not going your direction is not qualified for your association. So vision? It defines association, it disciplines association. If you saw Shadrach, he was with Meshach and Abednego. Church Gist. If you saw Peter, he was with John and James. If you saw Ruth, she was with Naomi. And you can go on and on and on. Association is not something to manage. To manage the wrong association is to damage destiny. It’s not something to manage. Hallelujah! Vision defines association. So, vision brings illumination; vision brings distinction; vision brings motion, action and acceleration to life; vision brings possession; vision defines association.
- Vision brings caution to life.
It disciplines behaviour, disciplines character. What you want to achieve in life affects how you choose to live. Last night I called Bishop Abioye around 2:30 a.m. So he said: “You are still awake?” And I wanted to ask: “You’re not sleeping yourself, Sir?” (Laughing). And I called at that time because I know I will meet him awake. Do you understand what I am saying? So there is something that is your focus that determines how you live. Church Gist. When we say: “Good night” from Commanding The Day (Midnight Prayer), it’s the beginning of work for us. It’s actually “Good morning.” While others are whiling away their time, this child wants to get a first-class and is just monitoring her grade, his grade – just accurately. Drastic action! So it imparts caution! Visionlessness is carelessness of life. Every time you see a careless person as far as life is concerned, you’re seeing a visionless person. Visionless!
There are only a few countries in the World that we cannot travel to anytime or choose to live – in some places but by virtue of what we see and what we are seeing ahead and what God would do, it disciplines even our movements. Church Gist. Vision brings caution to life. What you want to achieve in life affects how you choose to live. Proverbs 29:18. The word perish means the people lack discipline. Where there is no vision, they lack discipline.
- You will not perish. You will not be wasted.
Daniel 1:8. So, Daniel choose how to live because he knew where he was going. Church Gist. He knows that corruption will tamper with his distinction, that corruption will affect his destination, so he choose it. So, people of vision are very cautious.
The other day, a man met me at the Airport. That may be a few years now, like 3 or 4. He said, “I like the way you look in your suit. It fits you so much. Unfortunately, me I cannot wear what you’re wearing. See (my potbelly).” He said in those days they used to think it was sign of good living to bring this ‘balance’ forward, but that they have realized that it was not sign of good living. Church Gist. He said how he wishes he can dress like this. Now, the stomach does not come out by accident, it serves notice. I met one young man the other day, very young man, he can wear nothing except agbada, nothing. I said “Where were you looking?” I’m sorry if there is anybody who has…please, I’m very, very sorry. There are some people actually that we know is follow come. I’m just talking about if you have a vision, as natural as the vision is to have a body that is fit. (To Dr. Becky Enenche) When will I eat meat in the night last? It doesn’t even cross my mind. Church Gist. At a certain point, there are things that I have no appetite. The appetite for it is not there, that is even if I choose to. Do you understand what I’m saying? So, the things that will lay the layers here and there, they are knocked out, consciously or unconsciously.
The days we used to do very, very drastic fasting, many, many days, the tummy will just become concave, just go like this. So, one day, I saw it coming up a bit, I was very concerned. Church Gist. I said what’s happening here? I killed it with 7 days fasting. My wife was so shocked that I was very concerned. What’s going on here? Where do you want to hang?
One day, one Pastor, I saw him, I said, “Your tummy is powerful, it’s coming forward” He said, “Don’t worry, when you reach 50, it will be like this. Church Gist. It’s young age that is worrying you” So I made up my mind, when I reach 50, I will see where it will come out from. Praise the Lord.
I’m sorry, I don’t want to make anybody uncomfortable at all. God has all groups of people in His family. Church Gist. He said ‘Lo I am with you’ for those who are low, then He said ‘We shall be fat and flourishing’ So, He has different categories of people. (Laughter) Hallelujah.
You know, I’m just saying specifically, what you want to achieve determines how you choose to live. Every thing you can have vision about, every single thing of your life, academic, physical fitness, whatever, what you want to achieve determines the choices you make in terms of living. Church Gist. Very important. You don’t achieve things by accident, you achieve them by deliberate decisions and if you have decided, then it can become possible to see the vision. So, vision brings caution to life.
When my little boy was very, very young, I said “Why don’t you gain weight? Put on weight. I like chubby children. I like to play with them” He will look at me and say “What about you, are you chubby?” He refused to be fat. Church Gist. He said “You like chubby children and you are not cbubby. You are not fat and you want me to be fat” He refused, he rejected it. Hallelujah! It imparts caution to life.
7: Vision brings preservation. Living long, or dying young actually can be a matter of vision. Deuteronomy 30:15,16,19. There is a choice in the matter. What you can endure is determined by what you see. What you can endure in life is determined by what you see ahead. Church Gist. What you can survive in life is determined by what you see ahead. Hebrews 12:1,2. Something was before Him so He endured the cross. The cross that could have been His end, He endured the cross. What you can endure and what you can survive is determined by what you can see, what you see ahead, preservation. Proverbs 29:18.
- You will fulfill your days.
You don’t want to meditate on death. You don’t want to meditate on affliction. Church Gist. You see yourself in your old age and you shall fulfill your days. Vision brings preservation.
- Vision guarantees destination. Vision connects your beginning to your end, it connects. It’s a connection between your beginning and your end. Vision is the link between where you are and where you will end. Habakkuk 2:2-3. Church Gist. ‘At the end, it shall speak’. It speaks at the end. You don’t end your life’s journey halfway if you’re a person of vision. You don’t end half way. You’re not permitted to end your life’s journey halfway if you’re a person of vision.

Look at Paul the Apostle, he said, “for to me, to live is Christ”. Philippians 1:21-25. Do you understand? He’s saying: Something is telling me, one mind is telling me: “Just go to Heaven.” Another one is saying: “Just stay here for the sake of these people, keep on encouraging them. You have more ministry with them.” He said: “For that purpose, I am going to remain with you.” This was a man of vision, deciding his end. Do you understand? That is, “whatever death comes for me now; can’t carry me. I am here.” So they stoned him and drew him out of the City. Acts 14:20. He couldn’t die. 2 Timothy 4:6. Finally, he now said: “I am now ready..The last time I told you people that I will remain with you, but now. It is concluded that it is time to go”. 2 Timothy 4:7-8. Church Gist. “Anything I need to do, I did; my syllabus has been covered. Don’t keep me anymore; otherwise, you waste my time. There is a crown waiting for me which the Lord, the Righteous Judge shall give to me.” That was a man of vision. People of vision are not permitted to end carelessly. You don’t end accidentally, you don’t end carelessly; you can’t end accidentally. It was a coordinated conclusion. A coordinated conclusion – “I’m ready now to go.” No devil could usher him out, contrary to his vision and will and choice.

Again, we just saw that vision brings illumination to life. Can we go through what we have seen tonight what would vision do?
- Vision brings illumination to life.
- Vision brings distinction to life.
- Vision brings motion, action and acceleration.
- Vision brings possession.
- Vision defines association. Please, take this one very, very serious. It defines your association.
- Vision brings caution to life.
- Vision brings preservation.
- Vision guarantees your destination.
