This morning, my assignment is to take the teaching titled ‘Covenant Gateway to the Wisdom from Above’ and our text is Proverbs Chapter 9:9. Church Gist. Give instruction to a wise man and he will yet be wiser. Teach a just man and he will increase in learning. Friends, it is no longer news that we live in a world filled with chaos, uncertainty and confusion. Jesus said, in this world, you will have tribulation and God’s servant said tribulation means trouble in many nations. He said, but he of good cheer for I have overcome the world. Many are left searching for answers and guidance, unfortunately, many go to the wrong source in search for them and they are not better of.
Because, source will always determine resources. Right source will deliver right resources. You don’t learn how to succeed from a failure. Church Gist. You don’t go to buy tomatoes in a spare parts market, you will never find it. Neither do you go to a technical college to study medicine. So, accessing answers in life begins with you locating the right source where it is available and accessible. The first good news today is that you are at the right place and you are at the right source to connect with your answers and your resources in this Shiloh 2024, ever winning wisdom. I thought your Amen will be loud.
It is also important to note that God has given us the gift of the covenant. Psalm 89:34, my covenant will I not break, nor altar the thing that is gone out of my mouth. The Covenant is an agreement between God and His people which commands God to performance when the part of man is plagued.
The Covenant is the key to unlocking the treasures of heaven and accessing the wisdom that is from above. The wise man said that definition of terms is the key to understanding. So, let us attempt to define our terms of study this morning.
What is a Gateway?
A Gateway is a point of access, entry or transition that connects 2 or more entities, systems or dimensions. Church Gist. Putting it humorously, a gateway is a gate that leads to a desired way. For example, a city gate, airport gate, internet gateways. etcetera.
What is Wisdom from Above?
Wisdom from Above is defined by its characteristics as listed in the book of James 3:17. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy.
This wisdom from Above is first pure, giving priority to purity. Church Gist. Which means freedom from all forms of defilement. Including jealousy, selfish ambition, deceit, etcetera. Just to mention a few. This wisdom from Above is not free. There is a price to pay for it. Daniel possessed this wisdom from Above and the purity demanded to match it. In Daniel 6:4-5, then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel against Daniel concerning the Kingdom but they could not find any. But as much as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, we shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it concerning the law of his God.
This was possible because Daniel determined in his heart to avoid defilement. Church Gist. Daniel 1:8, he proposed in his heart that he will not defile himself with the king’s meat. And since Daniel did not defile himself with the King’s meat, he was able to interprete the king’s matter. Please understand that the wisdom from Above is above all. We have heard God’s servant say this throughout Shiloh.
John 3:31. It says he that cometh from above is above al. It is also our covenant right to be about all. Deuteronomy 28:13. And the Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail.
- Somebody listening to me, God is saying you are going to be the head, never will you be found at the tail. If you believe it, your Amen will be stronger.
That indicates superiority. Higher quality, higher standard. Church Gist. This world has an estimated population that has surpassed 8 billion people. According to United nations, they said that milestone was reached in mid-November 2022. What that means is that there is a reality if a hyper brutal competition in every facet of life. Name it. Is it ministry? Is it industry? Politics? Is it in Academia? Is it in the business world? Etcetera.
That is why this wisdom from Above gives you an edge and a favoured advantage over all others. Despite this large number, some names still stand out. Because part of this covenant to us is the covenant of a great name. Genesis 12:2. Let me illustre with all due respect to God’s servant, if you pick a letter and you write and then an envelope from any part of the world and you write David Oyedepo. That is all you write. I am telling you, that letter will land here in Canaanland. Amen I speaking? If you go to Google search and you type the name David Oyedepo, it will give you all manner of information.
In 8 billion people, names still stand out. Maybe you are living here in Ota, try it. Church Gist. Well, we don’t have postal services these days, but if you write your name, you write your title, Chief Dr Odumego and post it, that letter will do get lost. Here in Ota o. I am not talking of any other place. Here in Ota. The letter will so lost and lost. Glory to God.
But friends, that is about to change because
-After Shiloh 2024, as you assess the wisdom from Above, God will be changing your story in the Name of Jesus.
Accessing this wisdom from above must therefore be every man’s heart desire in this Shiloh 2024.
What then are the Covenant gateways or access to the wisdom from above?
- The fear of God
It is our access to this order of wisdom. We have heard a lot said about the fear of God in the first teaching by God’s servant. Let me just add a little. Church Gist. Psalm 111:10. It said, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding have all they that do his commandments. His praise endureth forever.
The beginning of wisdom. The word beginning means origin. To initiate, to start, to commence. Commencement in the school of wisdom. That brings about intimacy with God and a higher sense of dependency on God and that is the antidote to every other minimal kind of fear. Because Proverbs 29:1 says, the wicked glee when no man pursues him, but the righteous will be as bold as a lion. Psalm 25:14. The secret of the Lord is as bold as those that fear him and he will show them his covenant. He will give you covenant access to this wisdom that is from Above.
Please understand that when we talk about the fear of God, what we are talking about is reverential awe. A deep sense of respect, reverence for the majesty, power and the holiness of God which is motivated by love and a desire to please Him and honour Him rather than a desire to avoid punishment or pain.
What then is the fear of God?
I. The fear of God is to acknowledge one’s wrong doing and turn from it. In 2 Samuel 12, we see in verse 12 and 13 that Prophet Nathan confronted David about his sin with Bathsheba. He highlighted God’s disapproval, calling David to account for his actions and David acknowledged. Church Gist. He said, I have sinned against the Lord. David acknowledged his wrong doing unlike King Saul when he was confronted, he was making excuses and shifting blame of his disobedience like many of us do today.
Proverbs 28:19, it said, he that covereth his sin shall not prosper. But whosoever confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Can I hear an Amen somebody. Many of us, we try to cover our sins and shift the blame to others when we are confronted, like Adam did. I have often meditated and thought, when God confronted Adam in the garden and said” Adam Adam, where are you?” He said, “I am hiding, I am afraid. Because I discovered I am naked.” And God said, “Who told you you are naked? Have you eaten from the tree I asked you not to eat of?” If I think, in my own mind, Adam took responsibility and said “Oh Lord, yes I have, but I am sorry. Forgive us. Have mercy on me.” I don’t know, probably the world would be a different place today. But instead, Adam says, “Na the Madam wey you give me and you said we should show love to our wives. So when she gave me to eat, I couldn’t refuse, I has to eat as a display of my love.” See where that love don put us today.
II. The fear of God is to hate evil.
Proverbs 4:13. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride and arrogancy and the evil way and the froward mouth do I hate. Church Gist. The fear of the Lord provides a strong aversion, diversion and a departure from evil. That to hate evil and not call it weakness or a mistake. Call it by the name it is. It is evil so that you can confront it and conquer it. Those who fear God, always fear well.
- The Bible is God’s wisdom bank in print.
Psalm 19:7. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul, the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statues of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. Church Gist. The beauty and power of God’s laws and commandments is that they bring about transformation, wisdom, joy and enlightenment. Light to those who follow them. It is a reminder (can I hear and Amen) of a life changing impact of God’s Word.
2 Timothy 3:15. And that from a child, thou has known the Holy scriptures which are able to make thee wise, unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Can I hear an Amen. The Word of God we are told is the bank of wisdom and it makes wise. Please understand, that like normal banks, where we make deposits and withdrawals, when we deposit God’s Word into our hearts and minds, we make withdrawals of wisdom, guidance and strength whenever we need it. Church Gist. Psalm 119:11 and verse 105.
Also, when we invest in natural banks, we get returns. I’m the same vain, when we invest time and effort into studying and applying God’s words we can expect to receive Spirit returns such as wisdom, peace and joy. Psalm 1:1-3, Matthew 13:23, But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Banks also keep records of transactions, allowing customers to track their financial activities. In the same vein, God keeps a record of our Spiritual transaction to be able to track our obedience, our faithfulness and our service to Him. Malachi 3:16. It says and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that fear the Lord and thought upon His Name. The Lord has a book and He writes. That is why God’s servant, our father, Bishop Oyedepo will say I am not surprised that we are where we are today. I would have been surprised if we are not because we discovered from early what it took and we applied ourselves to it and God is ever faithful because God is a record keeper.
When it was time to destroy Mordecai, that might the king could not sleep. He said bring me the book of records and he began to read through. Church Gist. He said has anything been done for Mordecai for these good deeds that he did? And they said, nothing has been done. And he called, who is there? He must be rewarded today.
- Somebody listening to me, every track record that God has kept concerning you, all your investment, your tireless engagement applied in studying and applying the Word, I pray that in this Shiloh 2024, God will remember you fir good in the mighty name of Jesus. I thought that your Amen will sound like thunder.
- The Wisdom of God is superior to all intellectual realms of man.
Isaiah 55:8-11, for your thoughts are not my thoughts and your ways are not my ways. The wisdom of scripture is God’s ways of doing things. The wisdom from above expressed itself in mighty works, not verbal theoretical vocabularies. Wisdom is not powerful talks but mighty works like God’s servant will always say. Wisdom has tangible proofs and they are not theories or hypothesis. Church Gist. The wisdom of God provides a comprehensive guide for navigating through life’s challenges for those who are interested.
At the onset of this commission God told our father that this ministry is not for the debate of doctrines, but to proof and demonstrate the power of God. Enemies submit by power, not by grammar. Psalm 66:3. Ota witches where not subdued by grammar, they were subdued by their demonstration of power.
Imagine a place feared by men as an enclave of witches and wizards becoming today a global reference, a global location for the worship of the Almighty God. Hallelujah. It is not by grammar, it is by power. This wisdom roofers solutions in relationships, decision making, financial management , health and wellness. The list is endless. There is nothing of man that compares to the Wisdom of God. Church Gist. Earthly wisdom is finite, limited, prone to error unlike God’s wisdom that is all knowing, encompassing, past, present and future.
Friends, one time, I did family planning for my wife because we wanted to watch the way the babies were coming to plan as they tell us to do. After sometimes, my wife said I am feeling somehow. I said you can’t feel anyhow o, because we have blocked the place, we have done family planning, what is it? And then we went to the hospital and they checked her and truly truly, she was pregnant. And the loop that they I settled was still there and I said “Doctor kilode, wetin happen? Ah! This is a serious matter o.” He said, “We are sorry, thee is always a 0.001% of error in all this things.” See explanation, see grammar. Human wisdom always has errors.
That is why the will check you today, they will say you have so so so disease and later they will now call you and say , sorry it is someone else’s report or sorry we didn’t see it well, we are very sorry.
- I pray today, every negative report of the devil that has been threatening you, making you afraid, the wisdom of God will nullify it on this mountain.
- The Wisdom of Scriptures has answer to every challenge of life.
Proverbs 1:5, a wise man will hear and will increase learning. A man of understanding shall attain to wise counsel. Church Gist. A wise man is not just one who knows, as in possession of facts, data and formulas which necessarily is not wisdom but superficial familiarity. Many are too familiar with Scriptures without tapping into the answers and solutions they offer. That is why God’s servant showing us from the opening night of Shiloh a prophetic dimension of the Word of God.
The Word of God is not for information, but for performance. Can I hear an Amen to that. It is high time we trade and engage the truth of Scriptures for a preferred future. Can I hear a loud Amen.
- The Wisdom of God is for the enthronement of Saints.
It is God’s agenda for the end time church. Psalm 110:1-3. The end time church is to reign by wisdom but the reverse is the case, simply for lack of this wisdom from Above. Ecclesiastes 10:5-7. There is an evil, which I have seen under the sun, an error which proceeded from the ruler. Folly is set in great dignity and the rich seat in low place. I have seen servants upon horses and princes walking as servants upon the earth. Church Gist. It is an evil, it is an error when foolishness is exalted. The rich, which is you and I. The redeemed child of God with the seven fold redemptive package (Revelations 5:12) will be seating in low places.
- It is an error and I see that error being corrected in Shiloh 2024.
- You are taking your rightful place in the mighty Name of Jesus.
As emerging stars are emerging from this Shiloh, Kingdom giants in politics, industry, business world, technological breakthroughs, in academia, in sports, in media and publicity. They are rising from this Shiloh 2024. If you know you are the one, give God a shout of praise.
- By wisdom, kings reign.
As we saw in the case of Solomon in 1 Kings 4:29 and 34, God gave Solomon wisdom. Church Gist. And we saw in his historic judgement where he displayed that wisdom he received in 1 Kings 3:28. They began to gear him in Israel because they knew the wisdom of God was with him to do judgment. When you contact this wisdom in your life, it will show. In your decision, choices and actions. Men will begin to fear you, especially in this age where there is great deception, 419, internet fraud. The world is becoming crazy with unusual cunning deception from the order of the devil himself so you need great insight.
That is why everyone in this mountain must grow from this wisdom from Above. Can I hear an Amen.
- The manifold Wisdom of God is the key to reigning in all spheres of life.
Ephesians 3:8-11 and in Psalm 110:1-3, we see by the display of power this endtime, by the manifold Wisdom of God that many complicated Wisdom of Heaven which we have contacted by on this mountain, the devil will bow in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
This manifold Wisdom of God is the key to reigning in all spheres of life. Church Gist. The opposition of hell not withstanding.
- By the wisdom of God, no devil can stop you.
25 Shilohs have gone, this is the 26th Shiloh. Testimonies everywhere, deliverance everywhere, breakthroughs everywhere. Salvation of multitudes both on ground, online and in all our viewing centers all over the world. The devil is being humiliated. The devil is crying. Hell is watching helplessly and we are winning big. Can I hear your big Hallelujah.
So it is not the existence of the devil that is the reason for where you are, it is lack of this wisdom. But as you contact it today, I see you begining to reign in life in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
As we round up, let’s quickly see some examples from Scriptures of ow the fear of God enthrones.
- Joseph.
Genesis 41:15-16. Joseph rose to power in Egypt as Pharaoh recognizes his wisdom and appoints him as the highest official in the land. Church Gist. Verse 38-44 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, For as much as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou.
Listen to me Sir, your background, your previous records, your qualifications, your tribe, your nationality become irrelevant if you are a person with the answer. They may hate you because you are not their tribe, race or religion but they cannot ignore you because you are the person with the answer.
- After this Shiloh 2024, God will give dreams to kings that only you will have the answer.
I see kings begin to dream already, I see them dreaming already and you shall be called forth in the Name of Jesus Christ.
We see the driving force of the life of Joseph. Genesis 42:18. He says do this and leave, for I fear God.
- Daniel
Daniel 2:19 and 30. He said, as for me, this secret was revealed to me. For not by any wisdom that I have more than any other living. Church Gist. He acknowledged that God gave him that wisdom. And in verse 46, King Nebuchadnezzar fell down upon his face and worshiped Daniel.
Friends, can’t you see that Gentiles are already attracted to your life by this wisdom from Above.
- I can see the kings of the earth bowing down and acknowledging the wisdom of your manifestation by virtue of answers that you are going to be commanding from now onwards.
- After this Shiloh, you shall be known as a solution bearer. They are looking for you already. They are calling for you already. If that is your, let me hear your Amen.
Isaiah 60:3 and the Gentiles shall come to their light and kings to the brightness of your rising. In Daniel 5:11-13, it says let Daniel be called.
- I decree today, I don’t know what your Name is, your name might be Emmanuel, whatever your name is, they will request you to be called.
In verse 13, they said then was Daniel brought in before the King. - Not only will you be called, you will also be brought in before the king.
- Therefore I decree, nothing will stop you in the Name of Jesus. Every edge of success syndrome, almost happening, about to happen and never happens is over in this mountain in the Name of Jesus Christ.
- Paul
Finally, Paul the Apostle. A man of unusual wisdom, because he feared God. Church Gist. The fear of God shall be the golden rule of the end time church. It is the holy rule and the golden rule. Ephesians 5:26-27. That he might sanctify it and cleanse it with the washing if water by the Word. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
