16th December 1714: George Whitefield is born. He was one of the Preachers of the Evangelical Revival in Great Britain and the Great Awakening in America. He also co-founded the Methodist Movement with Charles Wesley and John Wesley.

16th December 1956: Jack Coe passed on to glory. He was the Head of the Dallas Revival Centre, Texas, United States of America. He was also an Evangelist and a Faith Healer.

16th December 1973: Laurie Ukamaka Ntia is born. She is the wife of Reverend Ntia I. Ntia of Full Life Christian Centre.

16th December 2004: Caritas University Amorji-Nike Emene, Enugu State Nigeria is approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria to operate as a university. She is a private university established by Rev. Fr. Prof. Emmanuel Paul Mattew Edeh of the Catholic Church.

16th December 2021: Pastor E. A. Adeboye ministers at the 2021 Ogun State Government Christmas Carol and Service of Nine Lessons. The program had in attendance: Mummy Folu Adeboye and the State Governor, His Excellency Adedapo Abiodun among other dignitaries.
