27th December 2003: Pastor Godman Akinlabi weds Bolarinwa. They are Founders of The Elevation Church (TEC) headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
27th December 1998: Archbishop Sam Amaga begins an Apostolic missionary adventure to Lagos and the western part of Nigeria. He received his call into ministry in July 1982, did some missionary work in Makurdi, Ozoro (the then Bendel State) and Port Harcourt before moving to Lagos State in 1998. He is the President of Salem International Christian Centre and Chancellor of Salem University, Lokoja.
27th December 1931: Peter Christian Lutkin passes on to glory. He was an American organist, choral conductor, composer and educator (Northwestern University, 1891 – 1931). He is noted for composing the famous song, ‘The Lord Bless You And Keep You’. He passed on to glory at the age of 73.
27th December 1714: George Whitefield is born. He was an Anglican cleric and evangelist who was one of the founders of Methodism and the evangelical movement.
27th December 2012: Apostle Dr. Collins K. Wilson is ordained into ministry by Bishop Chris Raymond. He is the General Secretary of the Cameroon Pentecostal Ministers’ Forum and Founder, Global Apostolic Invasion Outreach, Glapino.
