24th February 1979: The Church of Nigeria was inaugurated as a new Province of the Anglican Church. It was made up of 16 dioceses at the time of inauguration but it currently has over 160 dioceses.
24th February 2017: The Supreme Court of Nigeria settles the leadership cr1s1s of the Assemblies of God Church Nigeria between Reverend Paul Emeka and Reverend Dr Chidi Okoroafor. The Supreme Court ruled in favour of The General Council of The Church and confirmed Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor as the General Superintendent of the Church.
24th February 1949: The Government of Bulgaria passed a law acknowledging that the Bulgarian Orthodox Church is the traditional church of Bulgaria and inseparably united with its history. This came after trying unsuccessfully for many years to stifle Christianity.
24th February 1946: Pastor Charles Monroe Sheldon goes to be with the Lord. He was the author of the popular Christian novel, In His Steps, from which we get the phrase “What Would Jesus Do?”.
24th February 1208: Francis of Assisi receives his call to ministry in a vision in the Church of Portunicula, Italy. He began a mission of preaching repentance, singing, caring for lepers, and aiding the peasants afterwards.
