26th February 1984: The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) is officially inaugurated as a Church in Accra, Ghana. It was founded by Reverend Dr. Mensa Otabil. The first meeting was held in a small classroom with an initial membership of just about twenty people.


26th February 1886: Henry Townsend passes on to glory. He was an Anglican missionary in Nigeria, who spent most of his days in Abeokuta, present day Ogun State Capital.

26th February 2021: Bishop Moses Grandeur goes home. He was one of those who championed Pentecostal evangelism in Sapele in the 1980s and the founder and General Overseer of the Victory Family Assembly (VIFA).


26th February 2012: A car bomb targeted at the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) headquarters goes off during Sunday services in the City of Jos, North-Central Nigeria. The bomb blast killed six people including a toddler and injured about 50 people. The attack was claimed by the Islamic Terror Group, Boko Haram.
