11th April 2009: Mummy Abiodun Kumuyi passes on to glory. She was the Wife of Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. Hours before she passed on, she gloriously sang a hymn, listened to a message been preached by her husband, prayed fervently, said her final Amen and went on to glory. She was aged 57.

11th April 1993: Family Worship Centre is born. Divine guidance led Pastor Inalegwu (of blessed memory) and Pastor Sarah Omakwu to Abuja to start Family Worship Centre at the Sheraton Hotel with a congregation of 147 adults and 64 children.

11th April 1967: Nike Adeyemi is born. She is the Wife of Pastor Sam Adeyemi and the Deputy Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Center.

11th April 2024: Gospel Music Minister, Theophilus Sunday gets married to Jamaican Lawyer, Ashlee White.

11th April 1836: Evangelist George Muller opens his famous orphanage on Wilson Street in Bristol. By 1875, Mueller’s orphanage provided care for over 2,000 children, a work sustained ‘according to him’ not by regular fundraising but by thousands of “answers to prayer.” He cared for over 10,000 orphans during his lifetime.

11th April 1079: Bishop Stanislaus is martyred. He was the Bishop of Krakow, Poland. King Boleslaw II called him a traitor. Stanislaus had excommunicated the King, nicknamed “Boleslaw the Cruel” for his evil deeds and many crimes.

11th April 1567: Italian Philosopher, Hymn Writer and Theologian, Thomas Aquinas is elevated to the status of “Doctor of the Church.” He was arguably the greatest Christian scholastic Philosopher of the Middle Ages.

11th April 1878: George Augustus Selwyn passes on to glory. He was the first Anglican Bishop of New Zealand. He was aged 69.
