HOW THE SONG, ‘ALL THE GLORY MUST BE TO THE LORD’ CAME ABOUT IN 1983
Bishop David Oyedepo while preaching at the Covenant Hour of Prayer on 22nd April 2025 stated how he composed a song in appreciation to God after a Crusade in Kaduna state. He emphasized that murmuring prevents us from seeing the help of God.
He said, “We had such an awesome crusade in Kaduna years ago, 1983. Highest attendance was 63, City Wide Revival Week, 63 and the bulk of that number came along with us from Ilorin to that event. We gave extensive thanks on the 29th of November, that was when the song sprang, ‘that no man on earth should give glory to himself, all glory must be to the Lord.’ One night, only one person got saved, ‘All glory must be to the Lord’ There’s joy in Heaven over one that’s saved. ‘For He is worthy of our praise, that no man on earth should give glory to himself, all the glory must be unto the Lord’ and you saw the events that followed. In everything, give thanks!”
