While Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr was preaching in the Third Service of the Covenant Day Of Financial Fortune Service, he addressed the prevalence of fràudulént activities specifically mentioning a recent incident called CB€X. He emphasized the devastating impact of these scams on people and also mentioned that things cannot go well with those who involve in fràudulént activities.
He said: “We live in a world today of increasing sharp practices: Yahøø yahøø, yahøø plus plus, 419 or advanced fee fràud, pønzi schemes. You know there’s one that just happened now? What is it called? CB€X. Welldone! Hello! Praise God! Just December last year, 792 people were caught in one building doing fràud. In one building! Church Gist. They took a high rise building, they were doing fraud there – 792 people!! In one place! Some people have made people have heart attack by what they have done. Do you know there are many who have died on the basis of the financial pain some people have inflicted on them. How is it that somebody works for 40 years, gathers all he has and somebody has the heart to collect it and spend it on high living and expect that things will go well with him, it cannot! It cannot!”
