I was ministering on this subject in those early days and somebody was scheduled for a surgery. I wasn’t teaching on healing but He sent His Word and it healed them. Church Gist. So he felt a touch on his body and he went to the restroom and for the first time in six years, no more blood in his stool and it ended there.
- As the Word goes forth today, everything contrary to your well being will be flushed out.
- Everything that makes people ask where is your God, will get off your life.
Why is everyone not hearing what God is saying? Not everyone is in the Spirit. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day and I heard. Please stay tuned in the Spirit. This is not the time to start chatting on your telephone. Church Gist. It will be an abuse. Stay tuned. God has you in mind, He wants to put something in your hand that will set you free from all ups and downs in life. So shall it be.
Again, the prophetic focus for the month is FINANCIAL FORTUNE IS MY HERITAGE. He became poor that we through His poverty might be made rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9, Revelation 5:12. So financial fortune is our package in redemption, it is not an ambition. It is an inheritance. Fully paid for and allocated. Church Gist. But we need an understanding of how to access and take delivery of this awesome heritage. Acts 8:26-35. The Ethiopian Eunuch galloped from darkness to light after Philip opened his understanding. Somebody is galloping from lack and want into a world of plenty as your understanding opens up.
Hosea 4:6. No matter the wrath and wickedness of darkness, it cannot resist light. When light shows up, darkness must bow out. The entrance or the understanding of His Word gives light that shatters the hold of the powers of darkness. Please stay tuned. Church Gist. Understanding is the key to a world of outstanding experience in the Kingdom. Proverbs 21:16. There won’t be any difference between him and the unsaved because he lacks understanding of issues regarding the areas of his challenge.
So our teaching series for Sunday Services is captioned UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE IN THE KINGDOM. The anchor scripture is 1 Kings 3:3-5, 13. That was the only credential about Solomon, he loved the Lord. Church Gist. It was the love of God in the heart of Solomon that brought him into fortune. Favour! There is no comparing anything on earth like a genuine heart for God. 1 Corinthians 2:9. That is the core mystery behind access to financial fortune. An uncheckered heart for God.
I remember 3rd October 1984, we were to renew the rent of the church facility. It was only ₦3000 per annum. So 6 of us gathered together, we were leaders. I said “Gentlemen, if I had this money, God would not appeal to me to give it. Now that we are all at the same level, understanding what I am saying. Church Gist. A time will come when some of us will take off in the air. Don’t say you don’t know what we are using, let me tell you what I am using. I am sold out to God. You better understand the secret.” You can’t be sold out to God in truth and not stand out in life. I knew that those who are sold out to God will stand out in life. I knew it on 3rd October 1984. ₦3000.
Stop wasting time and pretending to be where you are not. Do you have a heart for God? God is careful in blessing you, you will worship the blessing. No! I like you to reposition your heart today. That is the master key to a world of financial fortune. I am a witness and many people here in this Church are witnesses. Church Gist. I love Jesus more than I love me, I love Him more than I love my wife, my children and all of you. I don’t know how you feel but that’s the truth. I said I love Him more than I love me. So what remains? You shall love your neighbour as yourself. You better reposition.
I am not a beneficiary of untrackable wealth. In 1990, a governor gave me an envelope. I asked him, “I hope it is your money?” That was 1990. It’s not yesterday. That’s where I am coming from. Stay tuned. This message can end at any point, it will still be a good point. If all you can get from here now is a repositioning of your heart for Jesus, then the job is done. Have you heard this Church praying “Lord, send us money.” Church Gist. You have been here for years. You listen to all the prayer points. Have you seen “Send us money” Send us money”?. Those who chase after it don’t get it. It is chasing after God that brings it. You are walking in fortune. Your days of struggles are over. Your new chapter must open this month.
I have a threefold message from the Lord, because when He sends a man, He gives him what to deliver. 1. The Word of Faith that came along with the Mandate. Church Gist. 2. The Word Of Prosperity that came my way while I was on a mission trip to America when the Lord said to me, “get back home and make my people rich”. So, it’s not something I caught from somewhere, it’s something that God gave me to give to His people.
-Your position must change! Your financial situation must change.
And then He gave me, that was August 26, 1987, He gave me the Word of the supernatural. “Usher in this new era with me. Church Gist. The era of signs and wonders, the kind that has never been before”. 1992. To the glory of God, God has continued to confirm all of these in increasing dimensions.
-It shall be confirmed in your life!
But faith is required for us to experience the performance of any Word from the Lord. Faith is required. 2 Chronicles 20:20. Luke 1:45. Matthew 10:41. Church Gist. Without your faith, God can’t do anything about any issue. Without my faith, God can’t do anything about my issue. Please note, life is an adventure in challenges but it’s also the platform for the rise of champions and giants. John 16:33. 1 John 5:4. So, it is not unspiritual to be challenged but it’s unscriptural to be defeated. Psalm 34:19. So, victory is our right in redemption, all we need is to understand how to command it. “They shall come against you in one way and they shall flee 7 ways”. Church Gist. So, there’s these attacks here and there but they are to flee from you as you align with God. Deuteronomy 28:7.
Please listen, interestingly, the Bible is the Solution Book of life no matter the issues. Matthew 11:28-29. The Book contains all the words of this life. Acts 5:20. John 1:1-5,14. Church Gist. In this Word is life and this life and this life gives the light of lives. John 1:4-5. This is the Solution Book of life, no matter the issues. It covers all aspects of life and living. Hebrews 1:1-3. He still controls all things by the Word of His power till forever. So, our understanding of access to this awesome heritage is the only guarantee to experience it. Church Gist. Please, don’t take yourself off the list, God’s Word applies to whosoever believes. Church Gist. It’s not that God has some special candidates for one thing, some are to prosper, some are to be poor, some are to be begging, others are to be giving, no. Romans 10:12.
Remember, we’re saved by the same Blood and we’re headed for the same Heaven and there are no buildings, no bungalows in Heaven, no boys quarters in Heaven, there are only mansions there and that’s where every believer is heading for. Church Gist. Revelation 21:21. So, it’s a Word of fortune and it’s the same for every believer.
-You’re getting out of the rots!
Remember, we are dealing with understanding the mystery of financial fortune. What is a mystery? A mystery can be defined as hidden Kingdom treasure that’s accessible only to the redeemed. Mark 4:11. “Unto us in the family” because new birth brings you and I into the family of God. Church Gist. “Unto us in the family is given to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God” but to them that are outside who are yet to come inside, all these things are mere stories, they don’t make any meaning to them. So, it’s only accessible to the redeemed.
-There are some in this service today, today will be your day of salvation so you’ll be able to flow in what the Lord is saying in the name of Jesus.
What is a mystery? A mystery can be defined as divine secrets embedded within the pages of Scriptures. Isaiah 55:8-9. And He’s talking about the things hidden in Scriptures. Isaiah 55:11. Church Gist. So, His ways are in His Words and they’re higher than our ways. His thoughts are in His Words and they’re far higher than our thoughts.
I wrote a piece one time, ‘The Supremacy of Faith Over Facts’, the gap is wide. It’s a scientific fact that when you put flesh into furnace, it’ll roast but they trusted in God and that fact was subdued, there was no smell of fire on them. Church Gist. It is the habit of lions to feed on flesh but Daniel was cast into the den of hungry lions and there was no scratch on his body because he believed in his God. Daniel 6:23. Daniel 3:28. So, there’s no comparing the weight of faith with facts.
Certified dead! Sir! Certificate already issued! Lazarus gone! Jesus said: “But I told you, if you believe you will see the glory of God! Lazarus come forth jare!” Scientific fact was reverted. Please understand, His ways are beyond our capacity to appraise, take it or leave it! You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. Stop trying to express your opinion when God speaks, you have no capacity for it. His ways are higher than your ways; His thoughts than your thoughts. Church Gist. People are so full of themselves, they keep expressing their view. “Well! That’s what you say but, you know? By my understanding of this matter, that’s not the best way to go please!” Una welldone! Go and find another place! Please understand this, because these are fundamental to these issues. God is not looking for who to take advantage of, no man has anything to offer God. In case you don’t know, you have nothing to offer God, you! He’s the breath in your nostrils! Only God has what to offer us and He will offer us by our obedience!
-Somebody’s story is changing!
Sir, I’m not a teacher of prosperity, I’m not a preacher of prosperity; I’m God’s sent messenger to open up the financial destiny of God’s people by a mandate. “Get back home and make My people rich!” Some think it’s by stealing from me that they will become rich, some think so sir! And I use that and I use it meaningfully. There was a time I gave some things out to run a particular project, people were stealing from it. Church Gist. They said: “But he said God has sent him to make us rich.” They didn’t says that to me, they were saying that among themselves. You steal sir, you come under a curse. People don’t know what they’re doing oh! You steal! He said: “The curse of the Lord is in the house of the thief!” You better wake up all the yahoo yahoo people! Wake up! The curse you’re carrying you can’t tell. Somebody’s hard earned money, you use technology to drain him. Sir! Some drain old people sir! Old people, curse! You steal in your workplace, curse! Wake up!
-Whatever represents a self-inflicted curse, I pray for your rescue today in the name of Jesus! Thank You Lord!

-May your eyes be open!
These mysteries are meant for these times that we are in. He opens them up seal after seal. I knew the Church we met when we got saved. It’s a poverty-adoring Church. The poorer you are, the more righteous you are. Riches were hated even though our inheritance. There were cars you drive that time, they know you are not saved, they just believe you are not saved. Church Gist. Driving that kind of car means you’re not saved. There was a time we were swimming in sickness and disease and thinking God is teaching us lessons. You know? The challenges of life anchors on the ignorance of the believer. It’s when light comes that darkness gives way. You drive an air-conditioned car? You are lost and now you’re having air-conditioned Churches. How? Light has come, darkness has parted ways!
-In the same vein sir, everything that used to be down in your life will start looking up!
That is the siege of ignorance! It can be really tormenting. Isaiah 5:13.
-In the precious name of Jesus, that siege of ignorance is broken today!
A mystery may not make much sense to the natural mind but it never lacks proof. Mysteries never lack proof. Can’t you see the proof? And only fools doubt proofs. John 10:37-38. You are redeemed to enjoy a garden-like life, don’t let no devil get you into the Wilderness. 2 Corinthians 11:3. 2 Corinthians 2:14. Church Gist. Let’s become awake! Just like the real wealth of the Earth is found in the deep, Kingdom wealth is domiciled in our access to the deep things of God. Matthew 13:44. It’s His! And when his eyes got open, “Hey!! What a treasure!” He went and sold all that he had and bought that Field. Proverbs 23:23. Many hear things but they don’t buy into it. Buy into any truth that He reveals to you, then you become a possessor of the treasure therein. It’s important to buy it.
When I saw Matthew 6:33, I bought into it with a covenant. When I saw Deuteronomy 8:18, I bought into it and screamed: “Yeah! I can never be poor!” Praise God! When I saw Psalm 34:5, I bought into it. You have two eyes, can you make one to look up and to look down? He said: “Any time you look unto man, never claim to be looking unto Me but if you fix your eyes on Me, you will never be ashamed. 44 years running, no double sight! Whatever God cannot do, let it remain undone! Church Gist. Buy into it I beg, you have been hearing it long enough, buy into it now! He went and sold all he had and bought into it. Now, all that I knew has not worked, now I’m knowing what I should do. So I disposed those things to go into what He says. Can I hear your Amen? He did not say: “Go and sell your asset.” Sell your ideas that have kept you struggling time and again. People thought you’re making it but no you’re not making anything. You know you are not making progress because prosperity is only about making satisfactory progress.
-And from now sir, your life will keep enjoying satisfactory progress.
It’s not enough to find it, it’s important to buy into what you find. It’s not enough to find it. Psalm 112:1-3. We read it as the Welcome Call to Worship Psalm this Morning. Church Gist. Please buy into it. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Only His lovers have access to the deep things of God. His lovers have access to the deep things of God.
- May your heart be repositioned today in the name of Jesus.
That’s why financial fortune has its foundation in having a sincere heart for God. Proverbs 23:26. Your heart is the greatest seed of all. “Give me your heart.” 1 Corinthians 13:3. So, it’s the love of God at work in us that makes our giving highly profitable. Church Gist. Somebody once asked me, “What do you do between the time you give and when you receive?” I said I’ve never thought about it. I’m not trading with God and sincerely, I never thought about it. “Lord, I’m giving you this so that you can give me a plot of land” Go to Mortgage Bank. Stop serving God on contract. It never works. He’s a covenant keeping God. Keep doing what He says to do, He’ll keep opening new chapters as you are due. Church Gist. You can’t determine when you are due, no, as you are due. You invest in a company, you can’t say, “Look, where’s my profit?” No, when you’re due, they’ll let you know. Not that “I need money now” No, you can deinvest if you want. 2 Corinthians 8:5. Matthew 6:21. You can’t have a heart for God and not be delighted in standing strong in the Covenant. You can’t have a heart for God and not manifest it in your giving life.
- In the precious name of Jesus, you’ll never know ups and downs again.
- You’ll never rise and fall again in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Thank you, Lord.
Let’s look at 3 examples of those who enjoyed financial fortune through access to divine secrets.
- Abraham. God called him “My Friend.” Isaiah 41:8. Love is the cord of friendship, love, love, love. “The seed of Abraham my friend.” Genesis 18:17,18. When you become His friend, when you are in love with Him, you’re heading for becoming a strong and mighty nation, eyes have not seen, ears have not heard. Church Gist. Genesis 18:19. You know, “He did not commit Himself to any man because He knew all men” God knows you and knows me, more than you know you and more than I know me. God knows your thoughts afar off, what you have not started thinking, He knows. God knows you. He knows whether your heart is with Him or not, He knows. He knows that if He showers on you some level of financial fortune, you’ll disappear, He knows. God knows, you might need more wives, He knows. He knows you will leave your husband, He knows. Church Gist. You’ll throw your wife away, you’ll say, “She’s a witch” He knows. God knows. He said, “For I know him.” Come on, say: God knows me. I should stop pretending to anybody else, God knows me. God knows you. Genesis 18:19. John 2:23,24. Thank you, Lord.
Every true friend of Jesus becomes His confidant. He confides in them on the secrets of Heaven, the agenda of Heaven, what He has in store. Remember also, He called Abraham a Prophet. Genesis 20:7. Who is a Prophet? Amos 3:7. So, every true lover of God emerges a confidant of God. Church Gist. He unveils to them His secrets. This is why every true lover of God emerges a high flyer in life without stress. He has access to divine secrets that make stars. Abraham had access to divine secrets. “Take your son, your only son Isaac” and he rose up with delight, with a knife in his pocket and wood on the 14 year old boy who was heading for the slaughter. Genesis 22:16. Church Gist. When you follow the secrets revealed, God swears a blessing. When we follow the secrets revealed to us, He swears a blessing in response. Genesis 12:3. That is the kind of blessing redemption brought us into. Galatians 3:13,14.
Isaiah 51:1-3 gives us a picture of the Blessing of Abraham. God is out to turn things around for us as He did for Abraham, allow Him to. He wants to turn your wilderness to Eden and our desert as the Garden of the Lord, He said, “As I did to Abraham.” Church Gist. Now, we are told Abraham had an Army of 318 strong men who could take on the Army of another nation and conquer. Genesis 14:14-20. That’s an empire.
- So, there are many Kingdom Emperors sitting down here. If you are one of them, let me hear your loudest Amen!
- He’s taking all of us out of the dung hill and making us to sit in the Palaces.
- If you’re one of us, let me hear your Amen!
We saw how Abraham secured generational blessings. Genesis 24:1.
- The Man, Job, a grandson of Abraham. A die-hard lover of God. Job 13:15, Songs of Solomon 8:6-7…that’s how strong is love. I said, love is stronger than death. Daniel 3:17. Church Gist. Yes, Job was challenged but ended up gloriously triumphant.
- No matter the challenge you are going through now, you are coming out triumphant!
Just commit to doing what He says to do with delight; you are coming out. Church Gist. Job 42:10…he lived 140 years after to enjoy the restoration.
- The good news is: your challenges will be turned to testimony as you keep doing what He says to do!
What was the result? Job with an ever burning love for God had access to divine secrets. Job 29:4…“what happened? That brought me into fortune.” Job 29:4-6. “I was in fortune through access to divine secrets and the Bible said, he became the greatest of all men in the East – the greatest of all men in the civilized World of that time. Church Gist. He became the greatest of all men on the Earth. He became the greatest businessman on the Earth through access to divine secrets.
The financial fortune of this Church is traceable to access to divine secrets. Traceable! No guesswork Sir! No games! Now, people have come and left, the fortune has been affected. It’s not dependent on people, it’s the secret of God that secured our fortune. Church Gist. There are many who are perhaps in this Church before and are archenemies of the Church today. But why has that not affected us? Job 29:4-6. Just stay with the truth and you will keep triumphing.
I spoke about the gates of men yesterday in our Leadership Empowerment Summit. Sir, there is no congregation of men without evil beasts in their midst. They are sown by the devil. Church Gist. We call them the children of the wicked one who are constantly working against the Church to scatter the sheep not knowing that they are scattering their destiny. “Don’t bother about that thing they said. It doesn’t work.” They are just looking like this (demonstrating) – “it’s a lie.”
Most pastors depend on members to survive. I have been by the grace of God a supplier of the flock as given by grace from the beginning when there wasn’t anything much but it can be shared. “You don’t have what to eat? Now, let’s share.” Relax! Church Gist. Don’t be caught working against His Church. Not only this Church, any Church of Christ. Save your life Sir!
Somebody gave a testimony here sometime that he was in this Church, he was not healed. He was there, he was not healed and when he came here, God healed him. I stood up in the Old Church, took the microphone and said, stop that. “The same Jesus in that Church is the same Jesus here. Church Gist. The day you believe is the day you are healed.” I have never used my tongue to campaign against a Church in my life. What are you doing? Who made you an assessor? If you won’t believe, what are you hanging around Jesus for?
As you start praying against whosoever is against the Church, save your head. “For it’s a righteous thing with God to render tribulation to them that trouble you.” There are troublers of the Church – some are within the Church; they are within service groups. Church Gist. They are troubling the place, they are like storms; they appear, the whole place is rolling. “For I know him, he will command his children.” I’m commanding you.
We saw someone here in the early days of the Church and I used to know him in one of the Churches. I said, “hey come on, what’s happening here?” He said, “they live around here so they want to be coming.” Church Gist. I said, “no, you can’t come here. Go back to your pastor. If he gives you a letter on sabbatical, you can come.” Sir, we were looking for people but no, not against the truth.
- In the precious name of Jesus, the same fortune that this Commission walks in, you are walking into it now!
Job was a die-hard lover of God. Abraham, a friend of God. Abraham, God’s confidant. Church Gist. You walk in his steps, you will have the same experience. Thank you Jesus!
- David, a man with a heart for God. 1 Samuel 13:14. “A man after my own heart. A man with a heart for me.” He has deep affection for the House of God and deep affection for the matters of the Kingdom. Church Gist. “And now because of my affection to the house of God, I have given all, out of my private treasure.” We saw his explosive giving life in 1 Chronicles 29:3. You can’t be a genuine lover and not be a liberal soul. “He that loves God loves his brethren also” – you can’t be a genuine lover and not love God’s people. You can’t be a genuine lover and not love your challenged neighbour.
David had an unusual insight to divine secrets. Acts 2:29-32…that is, he was speaking about the death and the resurrection of Christ long long before it came to be. Church Gist. Every genuine lover of God is a confidant of God. He unveils to them things that are yet to be. They live beyond their generation to generations to come.
- And you are that man! You are that one!
- He enjoyed financial fortune; you will enjoy it!
From all the above, it is obvious that genuine love for God and the interest of His Kingdom is the mystery behind financial fortune in the Kingdom. Church Gist. Genuine love for God (not fabricated love) and the interest of His Kingdom is the mystery behind financial fortune in the Kingdom.
- Therefore on this Covenant Day of Financial Fortune, I curse the root of all forms of financial misfortune in our lives!

The World today is facing the worst economic crisis in history and from prophetic scriptures, this may just be the beginning. But in the Name of Jesus, you will be gloriously exempted because covenant people have always been exempted from the horror of hard times. You shall be exempted. Church Gist. In Genesis 47:15, there was famine in the land, because there was economic failure. Money failed in the land of Egypt.
What you could buy yesterday or 2 years ago with a thousand naira, you may need 10 thousand naira to buy it today. Money failure is not strange, it has always been.
But God has vowed to exempt his people. Malachi 3:17-18. Church Gist. Therefore, in the Name of Jesus, I decree that the validity of that Malachi 4:1-2 will answer in your life.
In the midst of that previous farming, the Bible said but Israel dwelt in Egypt, in the country of Goshen and they grew and multiplied exceedingly under the same climatic conditions. Under the same economic conditions, there was a group of people that were just increasing and that is you.
Watch, the greatest project we have ever embarked on is The Ark. Why is The Ark going up without any stress in spite of the economic holocaust that we are experiencing? Why? Church Gist. Holding to divine secrets, engaging with those secrets.
- You are going places. Thank you Jesus.

Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. - Seek continuous guidance in your endeavors.

Though it may not look like it is working, keep rejoicing. It will soon show up and you will know it in the Name of Jesus. Church Gist. My prayer again is that your eyes that have seen this will live to experience it.
Lift up your right hand to heaven and give God thanks, give him thanks for light that has come your way in Jesus precious Name. Give the Lord a big hand of praise. There are people here today that need to come from outside to inside by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour which makes you a member of God’s own household not of a church congregation.

The world is also celebrating the Mother’s Day today, all the Mothers in the house and the would be Mothers, I declare you blessed! Not one shall sorrow over their children, no child will break the heart of any mother, your joy over your children and grandchildren will remain full, whatever may appear as a challenge in any mother’s life right now, including health conditions, I command it rescued. I command deliverance and this appears to all of our churches worldwide. The Mother’s Day blessing is hereby released, between now and the next one, you will be celebrated. Church Gist. No one shall bury any of their children, you will not bury any of your grandchildren or great grandchildren in the Name of Jesus. So shall it be.
